I gotta agree – I GET that it’s there to aid with gold farming, RW currency trading, etc.
But it really needs to be tuned.
While at it, try to come up with a better solution on the new account limitations.
My son got a skin during the recent Super Adventure Box feature and auctioned it for a nice sum. He tried to split the proceeds with me, since both of us were almost brand new players; but we ran into the transfer cap – very annoying. In this case, that “stacked” with the suppressed message mechanic while we were figuring out what the account limit mechanic was. REALLY frustrating experience for new players.
….
Enjoy the ride!
My only complaint is not being able to go back and play content I like later on (i.e. 2 or 3 alts later). It’s probably smarter, though; as it will ensure I keep a positive nostalgic memory of “the world that was” instead of letting the content get stale due to repetition.
John Smith: Ignore the naysayers – stay Laissez Faire. I’ve been in-world maybe three weeks (newb). I always liked the self-adjusting market in GW1, and I like it here. This is coming from a guy that took two weeks to build up 1.5 gold, so I am not a trader with a self-interest at stake.
Over-manipulation can only lead to more problems than we have now. Hmmm, this sounds familiar.
I read nothing on the forums anywhere about a process that would be running outside of the GW2.exe client, yet I check my task manager and find something called an “Awesomium_Process” running on my computer and located within the GW2 cache? Can someone explain to me what exactly this process is before I delete it?
It is for the modified Chrome browser they leverage for portions of the in-game UI.
… more walking away from a game session happy than any other MMO I’ve ever played.
wait – you can walk away?!?!?!
That’s what I get on Linux under wine. On my MBP, I get ~60-high 80’s FPS.
Hold control highlights all enemies and yellows (including collectables) in the direction you are looking.
You can enable this all the time in the options menu. It’s great for seeing the text names of characters who are trying to hide behind obstructions in PVP
I’ve been looking for that option for days (just started)… I musta overlooked it in the options! Thank You!
