Mind telling us what part of the update you are looking forward too the most?

My Thief wearing four different sets are Armor types.
What are those leggings with the straps?
Very creative looks everyone
Imagine this set with hiding the helm, shoulders and gloves.

Aso, creative use of dyes similar to your skin color can achieve a barely there look.
I did it about a month ago for my low level mesmer with the Whispers chest item that I bought with my 80 elementalist using the transmutation crystal → white item trick.
Not sure. Here’s the database to all the swords that share the same model.
Random drop most commonly found in Ascalon.

930,260 likes – only 70k more to go!
Too many people.
After waiting an hour to get in a borderlands map last night, we were taking a keep and holy moley – I look behind me and there’s an ocean of players, turn around there’s another ocean in front of me, look below another frikken ocean and they just kept coming. Our commander was calling for water fields and my camera lag was so bad I couldn’t even find him much less drop a field lol.
Everywhere else in the game is pretty much ok, ‘cept for the meta events where I have bad skill lag – again, it’s too many players on the maps.
We need drums and guitars too!
Great video – welcome back Jack!
how many likes they have now?
I dont have fb cant check it…
925,881 and counting!
We’re almost there, less than 75k to go!
Relax
The really cool thing about GW2 is that you don’t have to finish all the content to “progress”. No pressure, no guilt – just do what you enjoy doing, go for the stuff you want, play what you want to play and have fun
The Risen Priest of Balthazar was just slain – nay destroyed! on Sanctum of Rall 10:17 am PST.
Highfive to our Romanian friends!
Just need 80k more – gogo ANet!
I always liked them <3

Yes!!
From what Mike Zadorojny says in this interview, we will see expansion type content rolling out with the Living Story – that the 4 Living World teams are a fraction of their development force and they have large feature teams as well.
This is spectacular!!!

Been playing since the beta and have an ungodly amount of hours clocked. Hit 80 sometime back in September or October and most of the time I play my main.
This is hands down the best MMO experience I’ve ever had. The gorgeous world, attention to detail, innovative concepts, I can pick and choose any day what I want to do, there’s none of this funneling me into one raid instance. With the rate that content is rolled out, the game is always fresh and it has the best community I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing with
We must woo them with cat.gifs – it’s the only way!

There is unrest in the forest
There is trouble with the trees
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas
The trouble with the maples
(And they’re quite convinced they’re right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light
But the oaks can’t help their feelings
If they like the way they’re made
And they wonder why the maples
Can’t be happy in their shade
There is trouble in the forest
And the creatures all have fled
As the maples scream ‘Oppression!’
And the oaks just shake their heads
So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights
‘The oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light’
Now there’s no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, AXE and saw!

Having a blast with this puzzle!
Pve culling x3
I’m very pleased with everything else
The raiding thing makes me very curious.
I don’t understand how they are going to make large raids interesting in a game that doesn’t have tanks and aggro mechanics. You can’t really make large raid encounters interesting without any kind of control or structure.
I’m not saying that raids can’t work for Guild Wars 2, I just don’t understand how they’re going to make it work without letting every boss encounter degenerate into “zergs” with a couple of red circles to dodge and where there’s no point to have anyone that isn’t in berserker gear.
I’m very interested.
And I fail to see how having a tank hold the boss in one place is interesting.
I mean you may as well dig a hole and put the boss in it and let everyone “do their rotation” for all the interest a tank brings.
If you log into the leaderboards you can see when a member of your guild last earned an achievement point (which is a pretty good indication of activity or contribution). Just float your mouse over the points listed in the achievement column.
https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/na/achievements/guild/
Number of players online at any given time may not be a good indicator of member activity. 70-80 online out of 500 might be pretty good if you consider the average number of hours someone plays per week or the time slot they play in. Say if everyone in your guild is in NA, so they might be playing anytime from 5am to 1am in 2-3 hour blocks a couple times a week. But check the leaderboards, that might help you see if anyone has gone permanently AFK.
What is with all of these there are seemingly endless number of ppl on today who are writing the effectively the same thing in a painfully long way. Did writing class just end today and every one is itching to wright a long winded argument?
Happens every time WoW loses a million subs.
Looking around at the thousands of players I see every day I’d say the game is a smashing success.
I love these conveniences and can’t imagine playing a game without them now
its not just luck , there is a method to using the mystic forge without wasting 100s of gold . Find someone willing to explain it and you will be much more successful in getting precursors.
Really? There’s a method to using the mystic forge to get 4 precursors in 4 days while spending a little over 200 gold?
I agree that there are ways to spend wisely and be choosy about what you throw in, but this is nonsense. It’s huge, huge, huge luck.
I made 7 precursors in a little over a month using cheap random rares. One of them was a Spark which I used to make Incinerator, the others I sold.
Most of them were inexpensive precursors to where I was barely breaking even, but I did get The Chosen on the last one so I’ve quit for now since I’m ahead
link not working
Weird. Here’s the cached version:
If only I could read the article! Exciting news if that’s true. Raids… Yes..finally.
Here is the article (as mangled by Google translate!)
I discussed with Mike Zadorojny, ArenaNet Lead Content Designer for Guild Wars 2 this morning by phone. It was quite difficult given the quality of the phone call and that I could not properly record our conversation. Here is a summary of the topics that we discussed!
They try to create an innovative and creative MMORPG based on stories of living as Flame and Cold , The Secret of Southern Sun , The Fair Dragon and recently Pirates of Heaven . Mike’s role is to constantly create content for players and at a much higher than any other MMO on the market rate. This is a quality assurance Guild Wars 2 and the job is wonderfully orchestrated since the launch of the game through these events .
Their goal is to disseminate new game content every two weeks , which beat the game updates, enhancements, and content available to players.
Regarding the claims of the players on the permanent content , their teams take the subject seriously and are working to develop more content remain anchored in the game It’s a long work to prepare this content but that will come as soon as possible. New dungeons could be created as well as dynamic events, everything would be provided by a new event size. But I repeat, this is not for now.
The seasonal events such as Halloween and Yuletide game and will remain in their repeated annually content if the players have enjoyed. A new story could be added and the new dungeon content, activities, dynamic events, quests, and other equipment. Teams always work to provide new content, but in fact, repetitive seasonal events for components could be retained. So surely we will retry the belfry crazy for Halloween!
No new activities in game yet but maybe others will be added later for our greatest pleasure. Participate you from time to time in these activities? eg Launched barrels beside ’s Hoelbrak .
Ready to shoot? Fire!
I then asked if they had add PvE content which may include more than 5 players , such as raids in other MMOs. Mike confirmed that they are currently working on this content, but it will be different from what we know about other games approach “Guild Wars 2 touch” on this facet of the game They take their time to this experience is innovative, creative and really fun for the players.
To return to the events of the game, is currently between 40 and 70 people working on the events that we are offered every two weeks. This component is essential for the functioning of the game since it is thanks to system events they always incorporate more content (permanent or not) Guild Wars 2. These events support the addition of a particular component. Some teams are working on the current event and others are already preparing for the future event. I do not have more information on that course. They can quickly provide quality content for the players and the community in general remains active. They generally follow the events that players feel really involved in the game’s history
About guild halls , they will be implemented when it comes into play … The housing ! They want these halls are more than meeting places and RolePlay offering various exciting services.
I had some other issues but we have discussed and allocated 30 minutes went by very quickly. Additional information will arrive shortly from other fan sites that have or will also be able to discuss with Mike Zadorojny.
So I say to you very soon and have fun in the game!
There is no mention of WvW loot bags, does this system work for those?
It does!
It’s brilliant

I agree that avatars and info about who is online would be good.
I’d rather go without post counts and registration dates because in my experience they don’t provide any construction information, and are usually used as a way to judge other posters.
Specifically an excuse to declare someones opinion invalid because they “only” have X posts and therefore clearly know nothing about anything.
Points on the Leaderboard would be a much more effective metric to measure if a poster knows what he is talking about
When’s the last time you saw one of these live casts from the Devs with one of them running an Engineer?
A little over a week ago
As Karizee posted the run through of the new dungeon was done on a engineer.
The link I posted was the sPvP exhibition match to launch Mist League with 5 ArenaNet devs going against 5 members of Mist League
When’s the last time you saw one of these live casts from the Devs with one of them running an Engineer?
A little over a week ago
That POI was added in the Sky Pirates patch however it’s part of the new jumping puzzle which won’t be available til later.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t count towards your map completion.
When people post hyperbolic posts like this, you cannot take anything they say seriously.
The majority of gear and weapons are obtained in game. No amount of gold will get you dungeon armors and weapons, nor distinct weapons from world bosses nor karma weapons and armors, nor any form of ascended gear.
Just checking, but have you unequipped both items into your inventory before attempting the transmute?
Bind AOE loot to a different key.
My gw2.dat file is 16.1 GB, hope that helps!
The latest blog with Inspector Kiel’s report specifically mentions the rapier, I expect we will see it in the not too distant future

A lot of people don’t know about this yet, but there is an organization coordinating GvG matches along with Leaderboards to track scores.

You can only use a manual once to open the tier of traits.
If you want to change your traits just pay the trainer the fee. I think it’s 3s or 5s – something like that.
