We are having a lot of fun with Guild Missions, regularly have 80-100 people on Mumble coordinating – I honestly think it’s better than raiding

Every subscription based MMO was overcharging.

This.

WoW for example charges 10 pound approximately per month per subscriber.

With lets say an average of 10 million plus subs for just a year thats a income of 100 million pounds – MONTHLY.

Now take into consideration they have at least 4-5 years with that kind of sub number or more…
And the inital cost of development (supposedly) was around 60 million.

Now you see how overpriced that game really was.

The thing about wow was that it was a much “bigger” game in a sense. While they did make tons of cash, they also put tons and tons of cash into the game. The amount of team members they had for content development was pretty big, and they had a large support team.

Too bad all that content was so easy you skip most of it and are forced into one little tiny “endgame” instance.

Everytime WoW loses a million subs they come over here and post XD

They just kicked off an event in a high level zone, everyone has dropped their alts and is out doing that. Last month’s event took place in low level zones and there were people everywhere.

If you are looking for a group, PM me and I’ll see if I round up some guildies and come over.

Speaking of this event in the shores, it actually upscales your level. I would suggest porting there from LA.

Sounds like you are in your personal story instance. The only time you would see other players there is if you invited them to join in with you.

Leave the instance, run out the front gate of Divinity’s Reach into the open world zone of Queensdale.

I got that as a chest drop from Tequatl the Sunless a couple months ago. Super creepy!

Haha yes this was good, however I think infantile mode sounds a bit condescending.

Silly bookah, the Super Adventure Box was designed by an asura to empower students to reach their potential while building character through interactive play experience. Calling the first level Infantile Mode fits the arrogant superiority of the asura race.

Human is great, busiest starter area in the game.

Thief or Guardian – both are excellent choices. You can try a fully geared max level character by going into the Heart of the Mists (crossed sword icon) where you are upleveled and have free access to all the gear/runes/abilities to see which playstyle you like better.

Blackgate is a Tier 1 server so should be great.

I never got one of the ingame t-shirts when there were giveaways back in the beta, but I won a code today from a fan site.

When I try to redeem it however I get an error message. Have the codes expired?

Do a little zone hopping and shout in map chat. I would suggest:

I generally tip based on what I get out of a JP chest. For junk and stuff I may just give them a pebble, a tonic or consumable choir bell – depending on the mesmer

The few times I’ve tried to send silvers they generally get returned. Little gifts seem better received.

Your brother can guest to TC until a spot opens. The only thing he would not be able to do is WvW.

That’s pretty much it until they raise server caps again (which they have done periodically since launch)

I decided last night not to do the personal story on my mesmer since I want to preserve the instance.

I love the peaceful garden party atmosphere with the gently falling confetti, the clink of glasses and servants offering drinks and appetizers, the lords and ladies in all their attire, the winding streets and alleys and all the little houses I can go in and especially the music. I even found the dragon slide!

It’s like my own personal little city far away from the constant fighting where I can invite up to 4 guests for an exclusive party. Thanks for this

I get most of mine from Fractals and dungeons but I got one this morning from a Veteran Icebrood Elemental at the Claw of Jormag event.

Some of the most epic dynamic event chains take place in Orr – one of my favorites is the one that plays out across the zone of Malchor’s Leap and tells the story of Malchor the Sculptor, his love for the goddess Dwayna and subsequent blindness, madness, suicide and reincarnation as a ghost. Being in that zone and hearing that heartrending cry, “DWAAAAYNA!!” sends chills up my spine every time.

Join a guild and run Guild Missions. Go for achievements. Collect mini-pets. See how high you can go in Fractals. Get ranked on the Achievement leaderboards. Get the titles. Get world completion.

No. Renting is when you lose access to your account and characters if you don’t pay a fee that month.

Terrible way to monetize games, gamers got smart and subscription fees are going the way of the dodo.

Good cuz JP PvP is by far the sexiest. Maybe SPvP needs a giant Eternal BGJP-like map.

I have a major concern about Southsun though. Will you guys by chance ever add more Turtles and Turtle related events?

There’s a couple positively evil asura mesmers known as the Cheshire Twins that reside in the EB JP. Thank gawd they are on our side <3

Any chance to place a big glade somewhere in the new map, aside from main route to JP, just to allow unofficial duelling between people from the servers? Or even something like an arena/collosseum. Just a place, without any additional mechanics involved.

PvP has arenas…. go there.

I think that’s not the same. sPvP is for different people and gives much different feeling. You like it or not, there are people, who like to try dueling in WvW. Either you make them a place for it, or they will still do it on EB.

How is dueling in WvW any different then dueling in PvP? You get an arena, you set teams up to 1 or 2 people (whatever size you want) and duel. Dont have an arena? Join the MULTITUDE of dueling arenas that are already created. They did make a place to do it, you just dont want to go there.

Because it’s not the same – it’s a free for all lawless riot inside a JUMP PUZZLE! With swinging log traps, spears shooting out of the ground traps, fire blasts from gargoyle head traps – all balanced on a skinny little ledge that you can toss people off of – yeeehaawww gonna get me some WvW JP action tonite!

So late last night I log in and decide I’ll go visit Shadow Behemoth since I haven’t been there for awhile.

I jump into Queensdale and start gathering and getting some kills on my way over to the swamp and this low level unguilded player runs up next to me and stops. So I stop too but he doesn’t say anything.

I start running again and he runs along me again and stops again. This time I stop and say Hi. He says hi and I ask if he needs help with anything. He smiles and says he’s doing good so far.

I see the Champ Oakheart is up so I party with him and say, “Oakheart -let’s go.” He runs after me and as we top the hill there’s the oakheart with a handful of people, maybe 6 or 7 players battling him. The new player says wow.

I figure if he is wow’d by old Mr Oakheart he really needs to see Mr Shadow B.

So I tell him there’s a big event that happens near but we need to make sure the monastery is clear before it will start. I start running over, swinging by waypoints along the way so he gets them and people start chatting about Brenda being on the move in map chat. I tell him Brenda is tied to the monastery event.

We get there just as Brenda walks up and there’s about 20 players. Waves of centuars roll in, we kill them and then the portal events start. I figure to skip those and just tell him let’s go to the swamp now!

So we’re running through the swamp and just as we round the corner we see a good hundred players and Shadow Behemoth blows out of the ground. New player says WOW.

Made me smile. Can’t wait til he sees the dragons.
