Great first impression!

The cinematics are gorgeous, the environment is amazing, and the Revenant is extremely fun to play. The only suggestion I can offer so far is I think the Mastery UI needs a some polishing, it feels over-large and the switching between bars in each mastery line does not feel intuitive at all. It took me some minutes to figure out if I’d spent my points or not. I kind of like the Wxp UI, maybe something similar to that would work well and feel more consistent with existing systems? Possibly add the colorful explanation popups without the huge bars?

Also, my first run through I missed most of the story since the little exit door triggered right after the first part, as Braham was running down the hill. I thought it was done so I left and didn’t realize until later talking with someone that I’d actually missed most of the story.

I’ve received a couple from login rewards over the last 2 or 3 weeks.

I’ve been collecting armor and weapon boxes from PvP reward tracks – these give exotic items that let you select stats. Also stockpiling ascended cooldown items so I can craft an ascended set soon as I know what stats I want to roll on my fancy new Revenant

Go to a bank where you will find a wardrobe tab. You can preview all the armors in the game there, use the wiki to look up where to get the ones you want

It will be on rotation with the new Desert Borderlands maps.

So I was watching Towelliee(a popular WOW streamer), and he said this:
“GW2 has the best PVP and combat out of all MMOs, If GW2 had Holy Trinity, with that pvp and dungeons ,it would be the No.1 MMO in the world” this is his quote, When I first heard of it, I thought it’s totally nuts and holy trinity is bad so gw2 don’t need it, but later when I think about. I actually think he is legit. GW2 might not be unique and a better game with holy trinity, but I really do think it would be more successful. Because as I know 90% of the people were turned down by no holy trinity, which is the only reason people play other mmo(WOW, SWTOR,etc.) instead of GW2, imagine if gw2 went with holy trinity, people often say XXX mmo is WOW killer, I think GW2 would actually kill WOW.

Sounds like he can give excellent feedback on the effectiveness of the NPE.

I don’t think there are enough NPE’s in the world to teach someone that doesn’t want to learn. It was like watching someone that only knows how to play checkers that saw a bishop move diagonally in chess and said. “Oh, it’s the same thing!”

Then when he jumps into a chess match goes, “I don’t know what’s going on”, “I don’t know what’s going on”, “I don’t know what just happened”, “What was that?”, “I don’t know what’s going on”, “This game needs to restrict to diagonal moves only!!”

One server, many maps. The game creates as many copies of a map as necessary to accommodate as many players that want to play on that map.

The last MMO I played charged $25 per character PLUS a $10 faction change fee PLUS a monthly subscription fee. And there was no way to make those purchases with gold, it was cash only.

I spent literally hundreds of dollars trying to find a guild to raid with. This is a generous piece of cake in comparison.

I believe that calculation on gw2score has been broken for some time. As you can see they present some servers with a negative percentage (which is impossible since there is no mechanic in game which subtracts from the point tick).

There’s actually four T1 servers which has dislodged one of the T2 servers into T3. I say throw Fort Aspenwood into T1 for a couple weeks as a mercenary server, solve 2 birds with one stone!

The Tiny Snowflake problem came from the new harvisting items..
I’ve had to resort to storing my excess stacks on a alt..
and i’ve still got tons of excess wintersday harvisting items as well lol

I’ll probably end up upgrading them to the next tier and onwards at some point

Adding a Thermocatalytic cost would not increase value or reduce supply of Dragonite, the only thing that would increase value is some kind of daily cooldown on crafting it.

I don’t see them doing that at all since the reason they increased the drop rate of Dragonite everywhere was likely due to complaints on acquiring it. I remember being baffled at the time seeing posts from players about not getting enough Dragonite since I was swimming in it then but I digress.

I think you are trying to create a value on something that will never have a value due to the ubiquitous nature of the stuff.

These dropped with about the same amount of frequency that Dragonite drops, they only dropped for about a month, and towards the end of Wintersday the supply of Tiny Snowflakes on the Trading Post was increasing at the rate of 1 million Tiny Snowflakes per day!

There’s currently 22 million Tinys on the TP with 13 million of them sitting at 2c on the Trading Post. I wager if they removed the account bound restriction from Dragonite and continued with the current drop rates there would be billions of Dragonite sitting at 2c.

It’s fairly inexpensive if you craft all the food yourself, if you want to powerlevel through the time gating and buy the food off the TP it will of course be more expensive.

Good thing about learning the recipes however is that you can sell plant foods after you make your Mawdrey, I’m still making good gold from these months after creating it

They’ve changed an enormous amount of stuff, sorry we can’t distill it down further.

Containers are very good in that they allow you to manage your inventory space more efficiently. They can stack items much higher than items going directly into your bags, you have control/choice on when to open them.
