Gaile posted this about a month ago, that’s the thread you want to follow
According to Colin Johanson, Guild Wars 2 Game Director, Super Adventure Box will be back in the future. We don’t have a timeframe for the return of the SAB, but we will be bringing back this popular content.
I know you would like more details, more info, a date, etc., but that’s not available right now. I hope the above comment reassures you, though, because at the core, the important answer is that yes, SAB will be back in the future.

Proposal Overview
Leaderboards for Raiding Guilds
Goal of Proposal
Although rewards are important as a motivational tool, recognition is also a very strong driving force to support a competitive raiding scene. An official leaderboard would put the guild’s name in lights thereby providing them with the recognition of completing the most challenging content and a way to compare themselves against their peers.
Proposal Functionality
As each new raid is released, it would be accompanied by a section of the Leaderboard which would list the guilds in order of their completion of the raid. This section would remain prominent until the next raid is released at which time a new section would roll up.
Associated Risks
Costs for programming and maintenance of the leaderboards. May require additional staff time to field objections or protests of leaderboard rankings.
Alternate idea
Raid completion data could be included in the API, thereby shifting the cost of setting up and maintaining leaderboards to the community, similar to mos.millenium or gw2score.com for WvW tracking.

After 3 days you can follow up by following instruction on that thread. Please note that submitting duplicate tickets slows down the process so don’t do that.
I thought this was going to be about the World Tournament Series going to be held in Beijing between US, EU and China.

Makes me think of this video that I ran across a couple days ago
They really have created something fresh and special with this game. Taught me to love MMOs all over again.
Thanks for all the hard work
That’s an impressive accomplishment! I managed to make only 1 ambrite weapon – the shield (which I love to bits btw), I cannot imagine all the work you did to make the entire set.
Some nice suggestions for titles
Here is a fun little playlist on why we hate each class. Each little vignette shows why we hate playing against them in WvW, but also highlights their strengths and playstyles.

Shiny Foil Candy Wrappers submitted will surpass Kiel/Gnashblade votes.
These 2 maps were datamined a little over 1 month ago, they are actually in the game files now
GW2 has a vastly different party/class-role system than other games. In short it rewards active-reactive & skillful combat as well as knowledge of encounters/strategies more than passive/inherent base stats like vitality & toughness.
Being “Tanky” in GW2 PvE (Dungeons/Fractals etc) is often simply the difference between being one-shot or two/three-shot.
I’m always shocked how much damage Warrior outputs compared to my other classes; (Mesmer, Guardian, Engineer, Ranger & Thief) — You guys hit like trucks, but it’s extremely important that you learn how to dodge & manage your dodge/blocks/evades/interrupts etc.
^^Lunar says it all. I’d like to add personal experience for your enjoyment. I once had an 80 warrior who was as happy as could be. I decided to dress her up in fancy bunker/tank clothes and give her a all the best bunnker/tank traits. She and I had a goal. Together we were going to see just how much damage we could survive in Eternal Battle Grounds. We held hands as we loaded onto the map and then skipped our way out of our spawning area.
One foot step out of the spawning area our immunity buff fell away and out of no where a thief one shots her and stomps her.
2 lessons. One: There are no tanks. Two: Thieves kill everyone and everything you love.
You mean like this?

But seriously, we’re looking into the disconnect. In the meantime, have some soothing new music: https://soundcloud.com/arenanet/the-lunatic-court-live … ~RB2 #GW2

Guild Wars 2 on the other hand does really poor job at selling useful things:And yet Guild Wars 2 does make enough money in order for ArenaNet to avoid a rather massive layoff involving all other studios owned by NCSoft.
Not sure this is a fun commend or not.
At least you can’t be serious.
The only reason why A-Net is still alive is that they let almost everyone go and
outsource as much as they can.
That also explains why GW2 as a product looks so disconnected from the customers
or their former glory.I’m guessing lordkrall was referring to this news from the other day –
http://massively.joystiq.com/2014/10/24/guild-wars-2-emerges-unscathed-by-ncsofts-layoffs/
Will you look at that.
Kurrilino = LotOfSize
I would like to see mobile apps included in that list, I’m sure some like Candy Crush would …um… crush the competition haha.
From the article:
“League of Legends is so lucrative that it actually makes more money than World of Tanks, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft combined.”
That League of Legends, eh? I remember when WoW use to be top dog on these lists, poor thing has fallen to 4th place now.
Perfect timing, Chris should be starting the Raiding CDI tomorrow.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/CDI-Guilds-Guild-Halls/page/31#post4506461
Agreed.
Ok so I am rather busy today so I will get us moving onto Raiding tomorrow or Friday.
i do apologies but I have been quite busy, has anyone counted up our priority order? If not I will get it done.
Chris
Well done to everyone involved! Thank you, John, for the storytelling and clues and supergratz to those who figured things out the answers.
Enjoyable all the way around
Although I can understand how distressing it is to see posters that are purposely trolling the forums with misinformation and negative hype – you know the ones I mean, those that keep pushing their sales agendas for other games, cross posting their negative stuff from here onto other gaming sites and such – I firmly believe that Mark and krewe made the correct decision about this. There’s really no viable way to do it in a game with no subscription fee and they need to keep channels open for useful feedback and returning players.
We just need to be vigilant against such posters, if they are being incurably vile simply report them. And as tiresome as it can be to argue with trolls, post useful and correct information when you can. Don’t make yourself crazy over it, walk away when you need to.
Teaser image on the official facebook and twitter, when will we get the actual teaser page?
It appears that there might be an issue with the way players are loading into this map.

Also, I made a post on the bug forum:
For now I recommend using the LFG to taxi into an active map.
They are already going to change it. Gaile posted this a couple hours ago:
Here’s an update for you:
It’s clear that quite a lot of you would like to have greater flexibility in using the Currency Exchange. Our intention when we designed the new interface was to streamline large volume purchases, which make up the majority of transactions.
In light of your feedback, we will update the Currency Exchange so that you can decide how you want to use it. We will keep the new streamlined system and also offer a new “Custom” button on the panel that you can use to exchange any increment of gems or gold.
We anticipate rolling this out soon. Stay tuned!

Sorry for the delay in posting this, but out of respect to our international community, we wanted to be able to post in several forums at once.
So before jumping back into GW2 once again, is it worth it? I guess what I’m mostly looking for is:
Good sized community with people to do events with
Continued WvW competition
Exciting, non-repetitive events and quests
I’m going to caution you to take these reddit posts and forum brouhahas with a grain of salt, the game has been under intense attack recently (mostly due to the impending launches from other games).
As far as your questions:
1. Good sized community – yes, it’s one of the busiest MMOs on the market.
2. Continued WvW competition – yes, we just finished the 3rd WvW Tournament. Some weeks are more competitive than others but there’s always some matches that are neck and neck right up until the end. Tons of players everywhere, whether you are playing offensively or defensively on any given week.
http://mos.millenium.org/na/matchups/
3. Exciting non repititive events – they continue to add Living Story events, we are currently in the middle of Season 2 with the most recent events being Dragon’s Reach and the addition of the new zone, Dry Top. The next episode starts on November 4th.

Well worth jumping back in
Confirmed just last week that there is no Diminishing Returns in the game.
Still catching up, but I wanted to stop to be clear. No to this. This doesn’t happen, it’s a cognitive bias. There’s virtually no DR active on any given day.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Level_rewards
As you level you’ll be able to see and use more and more items.
It appears that players are not loading into active Labyrinth maps, it seems to be capping out at a very small number of players. Two or 3 will load in and then the map stops letting players join naturally, we need to ferry players in with the Join In party function.
This may be completely way off in left field here, but thinking about the self referential “locked thread” for hint #2, I tried a Spool of Silk Weaving Thread – no dice. Of the other vendor sold threads, only Gossamer will go in the forge. There’s currently only 1 known Mystic Forge recipe that uses Gossamer thread, that is for the Malice focus.
There’s always a spike in the gems/gold conversion when they add new items to the gem store. Always. Players cash in their excess gold to get the new items. This isn’t the biggest one, not by a long shot:
Biggest spike was over the 10 day 2014 anniversary sale when they offered these items:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gem_...niversary_Sale
Things they added today that would have spiked the conversion are the Noble Count outfit (the vampire/mesmer attire which was looked forward to by many), Phantom’s Hood, Devil Horns and most likely the Foil Wrapped Candy.
Seems work towards rebuilding LA is underway, there’s new locations near the Canal Ward Waypoint on either side of the portal to Gendarran Fields.
So we’ve got 4 hub spots in LA now, I haven’t had a chance to run around and see if any other changes took place. If you find something post it here!
Twice this evening I attempted entering a door portal a number of times and only got loaded into fairly empty maps before I used the LFG to get taxied over to ones with activity. I agree, something seems off with how the system is placing players into maps. It’s like it’s reading them as full when they aren’t since no new players join those mostly empty maps.
Watch this:
You see you have to wait for the 2nd pass at the window, when it’s broken.
Are you ready?
The EU players get the patch at the same exact moment that the NA players get it, it launches across both regions at the exact same moment in time.
So although calendar-wise the EU players may feel like they are getting it later, they also get to play it longer calendar-wise since the next patch will launch across both regions at the same moment in time.
Why is this such a hard concept to grasp?
Uh Zommoros told you a secret and you believed him? Allow me to let you in on a well known secret. Zommoros is a demon! You know, those beings of the underworld that should NEVER be trusted. Look at the poor souls he has captured at his “Mystic Forges” mindlessly standing around because he, Zommoros has promised them a precursor! Anyone that first listens to and then believes a Demon should be put out of their misery as the promise of gold and riches is a highly contagious disease. The symptoms usually manifest with wild speculation and soaring hopes.
Beware when you converse with Demons!
I grew up poor, living on the streets hand to mouth. Every day was a challenge, but like I tell my ol’ buddy Quinn, “If it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger”. I’ve worked hard to change my luck but I’ve still got a long way to go.
My sister was a Seraph. It was rumored that the centaurs killed her while she was out on patrol. They never recovered her body and it has always bothered me.
Recently I’ve learned of some that through an unfortunate sequence of events have gotten trapped inside the Mystic Forge. We only know this tale from one who made her escape during Wintersday when the Forge was transformed into a snowglobe and she jump puzzled her way out.
She says they are starving in there. I make it a point to donate food when I can since it’s possible that my sister was not killed by the centaurs but in fact has been trapped in the forge with the others all this time.
Guys, you are so mean! You should be locked along with Mad King’s son.
Let’s throw four complainers into the Mystic Toilet and see what happens.
I think you’d only get junk
the ability to throw in essence of luck into the forge to increase your chance of getting cool loot?
I love this idea!
I’ve made 7 precursor in the forge using the random rare weapons method. The whole concept behind it is we know on average that you get 1 exotic every 5 tries and that the exotic has a small chance to be a precursor. Sell the exotics! (I also sell the expensive rares that I get rather than throwing them back in).
By throwing in an armor piece, you get a chance for the result to be armor. So if you get an exotic armor, that’s taking away one of your small precursor chances. Personally I would not do it.
I only do mixed groups with 3 pieces of armor and 1 weapon, as weapons are more valuable to group together. If I’ve got 2-3 weapons left over, I’ll usually just save them for my next forging batch, unless I have a ton of armor to use up.
I was putting in bids for rare weapons, bought literally 1000s of them over a course of a month or so. It made more sense to do it back when you could pick up cheap rares for 16s a pop since although the price of very desirable precursors like Dusk have risen, we have not seen a proportional rise in many of the less desirable precursors (for instance I made a Chosen and sold it for 400g, it’s only going for 452g now while the cost of each “chance” has almost doubled).
If you hit the jackpot, great! But the risk/reward is greater now using the random rares method.

takes a drink If you didn’t leave it for last, you wouldn’t have nearly the issue with it.
The only person with any right to gripe about this is someone on a server that never wins in WvW. In all other cases, you’re looking at this from the wrong perspective. Mapping anyplace in PvE is a job for an hour. Mapping in WvW is something you should PLAN on spending a few weeks on. Week to week, your server’s color and starting position should change. This will give you better access to different areas, often ones you couldn’t get into the week before.
The color your server is assigned is based on how well it did the previous week. So if you’r server always wins or always loses… well, you’re stuck if you can’t get a group to knock in doors with. Otherwise, go do something else until the weekend rolls through.
Good advice except for the part about needing to be on a winning server
Reset night is a good night to play WvW for map completion since there is a lot of "flipping* going on back and forth, supply is very limited then since it hasn’t had a chance to build up and you’ll even see keeps changing hands many times over the course of a few hours until servers have a chance to build up defenses.
Also, do not limit yourself to your server’s “third” of EBG – there is always a tug and pull for the towers and camps along the edges with big “pushes” for more strategic locations as your server builds up resources.
I’m thinking of writing a guide on WvW map completion for the uninitiated since there is a lot of misconceptions floating about. I’ll put something up later this week.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Reward_track#Match_Rewards
40k rank points to complete a track, total rank points earned for each match depend on what mode and if you win or lose.
There are a bunches of rewards along the way also. Make sure to open the chests on a character with as much magic find buffs as you can put on it since MF does affect PvP reward chests. I keep one character to open the PvP chests, save all the chests and open them at once.
Not interested in gear treadmill games where every couple months everything I’ve worked for becomes garbage and I have to start acquiring new gear all over again. No thanks, been there done that got the T-shirt. There’s plenty of those kinds of games on the market if that’s what you like.
I prefer getting better at my game, not my gear getting “stronger” (which is fake anyway since those kinds of games increase the monster’s and player’s health).
You may want to post your thoughts on this thread where they are gathering feedback.

Big thumbs up for Rocket Mage!
I’ve been toying around with the idea of a steampunk-ish look for my female human ele and I always go to those boots.
Btw, there is another PvP only set out right now – the Glorious armor set. You can preview it in your wardrobe and you get one piece for every Glorious Reward Track you complete.
Try going through this:
https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/27698133-Connectivity
If that doesn’t sort things for you, check the Tech Support forums or put in a ticket.
It was in the game for about a year and a half, you needed Wolf rank in PvP to get it. I got it back then and made a number of posts encouraging others to get it before it was removed since they did give us plenty of notice.
It was removed when they took out the PvP Mystic Forge earlier this year. Grouch said then on a Ready Up livestream that it would possibly come back as a Reward Track reward, I’m thinking we haven’t gone far enough into the Maguuma Jungle to see it. Maybe watch the livestream tomorrow to see if he discusses it again?
I’m shooting for a full stack of Siege Commander spoons. Up to 7 so far.
Made mine in the Mystic Forge – around 200g worth of rares for Spark.
Any word on the wings for this set, Gaile?
