Actually the sonic periscopes (and their associated events) remaining behind is just a bug, and a fix was authored for it the day after the last build went Live. However, as sometimes happens with these things, hat particular fix was delayed and will get rolled into the May 28th build. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I’ve received a few exotics from jp chests. Not very often, but it’s nice to get them
If you fail the puzzle you don’t get the rewards. It’s that simple.
They’ve lifted the server caps so many times since launch I’ve lost count.
The pattern I’ve seen is they let ~1/2 the servers get Full so the others backfill, then lift the caps on all. Not saying that’s what they will do, once I saw all but I think 3 of the servers at Full status and another time it was just maybe 3 or 4 Full when they lifted.
Hope your friend gets in to play with you soon!
Here’s the video btw
Try joining a guild that runs Orr events. This week will be light on Orr participation because of the Southsun patch.
The fact that it was so popular with players could also indicate how little else there is to do. Two sides to every continue coin.
Oh jeez give it a rest.
It’s popular because it’s fun and has that whole quirky retro feel to it.
You’re doing a great job with this Grouch – looking forward to the tournament!
You can have someone put the target symbol on you so you can see your name and title.
From my experience, sub games have horrendous gear grinds behind onerous time gates, before you actually get to play to keep players paying the fee longer. Things like weekly instance lockouts or weekly caps on points you can earn.
I almost forgot item levels :P
In sub games you cannot play content until you’ve grinded for some months to attain a certain ilevel. This ilevel is of course gated behind RNG and the aforementioned weekly caps.
Ridiculously horrendous style of gaming.
Southsun Cove is the place to be right now, plus it gives +200% magic find buff. Talk to the Settler Negotiator to get the buff.
Dungeons and Fractals are really good too.

Most of them have vanity cash shop items also so it’s the same thing as a B2P game.
Never again paying a sub fee.
I cannot stress this enough – find others that enjoy the same types of things that you do and play with them
Was looking through some screenshots and remembering How! Much! Fun! the Super Adventure Box is – any word on when we will see the next incarnation?
Omg where am I what’s going on why am I tied up is that a Shark??? HEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

Southsun Cove (multiple overflows)

Meta events (new API was just released)

Dungeons and Fractals (millions of groups forming within 2 minutes)

More people than ever are playing.
What server are you on, OP? I’ll show you where everyone is
The Battle in the Vaults meta event is the zone’s world boss event, isn’t it?
That’s a good event
That gave me chills <3
Go to Southsun Cove – massive farming going on there now and ANet even gave us +200 Magic Find to help
I think the B2P model is the best I’ve seen. I am never locked out of my account for lack of a sub fee and I can choose to purchase gems when I want to show my support for what they are doing with the game.
It’s the only way to play MMOs now
They fixed an event that was being exploited.
Nope. Are you doing events or just renown hearts?
Every MMO I’ve ever played has some form of dailies. This game by far has the easiest and least intrusive daily system I’ve yet seen.
What I do when I jump in game is do the thing I’ve been wanting to do (say a fractal or a dungeon or some world boss hunting or whatever) and when I’m done with that, if I haven’t completed my daily by then (it generally gets finished in the course of regular game play) take 5 minutes to wrap it up.
You just need to remember it only takes about 30 people to make a mess of a forums and that there is certain vested parties that are less than thrilled with the success of this game.
When you see someone with 30+ pages of posting history about being disappointed for instance, writing books and reams of slander – dedicating their waking lives to making derogatory remarks about the game, it’s clear to see there is a different agenda than customer satisfaction being served here
Cheers!
I haven’t received anything fantabulous out of the crates yet, but one of my friends got 2 Lord Farens and gave me one <3
Been getting scads of rares and t6 though – those Heavy Booty Bags, yummy.
One of my guildies got a precursor off a mob in Southsun Cove this week – does that help you? XD
I wish we could see the white kitten because I want to buy one of these pets but want to see the kitten first and don’t want to miss the chance on the others if I don’t like the kitten as much <3

Mark KatzbachWe’ve updated the game for routine maintenance only. No content changes were included.
Short answer – YES!
Long answer – ABSOLUTELY!!
I can confirm Chantry of Secrets does not show in the total on the Bloodtide map, yet does count for the 100% complete total.
I did mine quite a while back but I saw someone post not too long ago that just using your mouse to hover over the zone isn’t always accurate, that you need to go to the zone itself to see.
Hope that helps!
There is a 5% listing fee, then when the item sells there is another 10% transaction fee deducted.
in Straits of Devastation. Need to free that little fella so we can buy Quaggan tonics
Ty.
Very soon – Colin posted this 2 days ago
This makes Roleplaying/Open World PvE Horrible, When will it be fixed?
We’re working on getting over-all game performance with large #‘s of players/mobs on screen running better first. Some improvements were included in the last release, a number of additional performance improvements will be included in the release next week. Once we’re up to performance that can handle the transition to include mobs in the more advanced culling system, we’ll pull the switch, hopefully not that far off but I can’t give an ETA since we’re still doing extensive testing on performance.
As a bonus, the perf fixes next week should also help any location with lots of players and very few mobs, hello WvW.
You can also transfer your account for free if you delete all of your characters. The server transfer fee is for moving all your characters. If you have no characters, you can move for no charge and everything in your account bank will go with the transfer.
That’s quite a bold claim. Can someone confirm this please?
That is correct. Here’s the link to the dev post:

Mithril can appear very white on certain armors
Just remember it only takes about 30 people to turn a forums into a mess and that there are certain :ahem: vested parties that are less than thrilled with this game’s success.
Risen Priest: All your screenshots are belong to me…..photoBOMB!
I think with all the WoW vids in Dontain’s channel we know exactly where this piece of propaganda is coming from

I believe there is a bug with the music, it wasn’t like this when the game launched.
gw2stuff.com is now utilizing the new API functions that were just released. Timer trolls are now out of business
How does that site/ the API function work?
Here’s the forums for the new API.

Haha, I hear ya.
Well it didn’t take long for someone to tie it in to the wiki. The wiki is now dynamically linked to the game for dynamic events – the “Fetch” link pulls up a list of all servers the event is active on.

If this is legit, sweet ^^
I just used it for the Fire Ele in Metrica – it was accurate to the second.
Great video on all the changes we’ve seen since launch. It kinda creeps up on you when you play every day but they’ve done A LOT with the game

You’re right, Ayrilana – I guess we were being a bit impatient. First world problems I guess, so many people in this game haha. We identified 5 separate overflows in Southsun alone!
Tonight we were doing our weekly guild missions and kicked off the Guild Rush and got Crab Scuttle in Southsun Shores.
Half the challenge was getting everyone onto the same overflow server. What we ended up doing was having our Guild Leader party with the commanders in the guild, then the commanders would repeatedly try to “Join in Southsun” onto our Guild Leader’s location.
After they were in they would drop party and invite other members into a new party and those members would do the “Join in Southsun” until they got in.
We did this over and over until we finally got all 65 of us on the same overflow server. It was rather frustrating as it took many attempts – it took about 15 minutes altogether to get us in. We also tried relogging without dropping party to see if we could get in.
Anyhow, we finally made it and even with all the extra mobs for the Southsun event we successfully completed the challenge with only one person not able to complete it.
Just wondering if you fine folk at ArenaNet have anything in the way of a more elegant solution for Guilds trying to get their missions done on overflow servers. We really like the missions, it’s great fun for our guild – keep up the good work
We know at least 37, the cap has not been identified yet.

Got my money ready right here, folks.
