As far as being an RP server, you can’t just ‘claim’ RP status, RP has to be happening there. Host RP events, post them on the In-game Events forum and other forums (reddit is awesome), get the web radio stations involved like Gaming World Entertainment Radio @ gw-en.com, record videos of the events and post them around, things like that.

Host other kinds of events – map clears or guild missions or jumping puzzle extravaganzas or a day on a particular achievement category with instructions/help on how to do it, contest/giveaways, etc. Don’t forget to advertise everywhere

Fall of Abaddon is so 7 years ago.

I started my legendary in November and just finished it last month. The only CoF I ran was to get my tokens for the Gift of Baelfire, otherwise I just played the game

I’ve got an ungodly amount of hours clocked but love playing my elementalist so much that I haven’t made time to do much of anything else. I’m starting to like the mesmer though

Being able to do this while moving is pure magic!

Ugh, I played a warlock in WoW and that felt like pure frustration to me every time I had to STOP to cast – 2 sec shadowbolt fillers, fml. I don’t know, maybe it’s a limitation of their engine or something.

I play an elementalist now and love the freedom of being able to move while casting. Never could go back to that old style.

The patch notes clearly state extra achievement points (which is what we get).

Players can locate a handful of kite baskets at the top of several jumping puzzles throughout Tyria and open them for extra achievement points.

As far as wondering how many players understand the reference I saw one video of it where they thought it was a nod to Mass Effect

Best MMO I’ve ever played

Thought I would post this since we need weapons for our Zenith skins and some people may not be aware that cheap exotic weapons and armor are available in WvW.

For instance, a zerker staff costs 5.4g on the trading post, 4.2g to craft, but you can purchase one in Eternal Battlegrounds for 1g + 170 badges of honor.

I have no problem, I’m happy for the challenge and the fun

I’ve died more times than I can count in the new zone, by either hitting the wrong action key at the wrong time or aiming my camera in the wrong direction or misjudging how far or how high I could jump or any number of reasons, all in the pursuit of chasing down those elusive Sky Crystals (without using a guide).

But I’ve had more fun here than any other patch to date. Last night I hit both meta achievements simultaneously with the capture of one last crystal and couldn’t feel more happy and satisfied. Well done, ArenaNet, on such an enchanting and fun zone!

Open your achievement panel, any skins you’ve unlocked will be at the top and you can use them as many times as you like on as many characters as you like

I think you can only loot the random baskets throughout the world, the achievement baskets in the puzzles are not lootable.

At least that’s how it works for me.

Don’t panic, you just withdraw it on the character you want it on

This is my favorite patch so far. I love this zone, the music and the movement skills (which I’m still mastering, but having lots of fun trying to find the sky crystals without a guide)

IMO It’s a fun game, but it doesn’t last. Hope you like DPS and dodging, because that’s pretty much all you’ll do PvE wise. WoW is better. If you don’t count the LF-whatever, WoW is actually far more challenging that GW2, but can be an easy walk in the park if you stick to its dungeon/raid finderr content. GW2, on the other hand: Just learn to dodge attacks that will otherwise one-shot you; that’s what the fight mechanics amount to. It’s pretty much hack and slash.

GW2 is well worth $50 or $60… whatever it costs now.

WoW isn’t better. WoW is different. That means what’s better is a matter of taste….

That…. ummm, is kinda obvious, Vayne. That difference is what makes it better for me. It’s an opinion.

All hidden behind this phony ‘but I loves the game even though I can’t barely bring myself to play it and everyone is going to quit’ nonsense.

I’ve been playing since launch and I can tell you that although you’ve missed some truly extraordinary content, there probably isn’t a better time to get in the game. Us launch folks helped iron out a few of the wrinkles and ANet is really starting to hit their stride with adding content and features to the game.

It’s an amazing experience and the best MMO community I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing with – glad you joined us

The zone is gorgeous, the music is beautiful and immersive, the movement skills are omgfreakin amazing, the racing game is So. Much. FUN!!

I think this is possibly my favorite patch so far and that’s saying something.

Are you seriously using F6, F10, F12? Or is that for some other combination of keys? :O

Lolz, no. G510 keyboard. I can 10-key faster than anyone I know, my brain just flips it around to do 18 keys with my left hand. For some reason I haven’t cared enough to fathom some of the G-keys show up as F-keys.

From Dulfy’s guide:

1) Account achievement rewards

• Every 500 achievement points, you hit an achievement milestone and get a chest with gold, laurels and account bonuses etc. (You do not spend any achievement points).

• Milestones that end in three 0s will give you Zenith weapon skins and those Milestones in high tiers will give you 3 piece armor skins (helm, gloves, shoulders)

• For each milestone you chose which skin to unlock. Once unlocked, you can withdraw and use that skin infinite amount of times like HOM skins.

• All of the armor/weapon skins are animated

That site is not an adequate solution. I run into more pugs that aren’t aware of that site than are.

Oh, I agree it’s not the only solution. But it’s a very good substitute until we get one in game.

And yes, I’m sure there’s a lot of peeps that don’t know about it, something like 95% of players never look at forums or fansites. So spread the word

But I don’t see it as that critical, I mean look at WoW – they went something like 8 years without one and grew their playerbase just fine without it.

They said they had to rework the mob and npc models so I imagine as they get each zone finished they will disable culling on those maps.

It is so frikken amazing, if you get the chance go check it out!

There is no ingame option to report scamming. Create a support ticket with the screenshots, name of player and server and approx time and they’ll deal with him.
