That is one sweet looking blade
Yes, World 2 completed on normal mode.
I don’t get all this p2w nonsense talk for a convenience item you can purchase with ingame gold. If paying 30g for a convenience item freaks you out in this game, I caution you to stay away from games like WoW where you have to pay thousands upon thousands of gold to unlock flying every few levels or special mounts that carry repairs and other necessary items for your characters.
Where’s this new content you speak of?
You should be getting an ingame mail that alerts you to new areas and new activities.
Or you can check the splash page for recent releases:

And you can find the game release notes here:

All free
You guys work so hard to keep pumping out content for us, and it is 100% free. I mean seriously if this was EA every single new patch probably gonna cost 10$ each already. So thank you for that, seriously.
I agree, best MMO I’ve ever played.
I may not like every single patch, but in 2 weeks there’s another one…then another 2 weeks there’s another one, then another, then another. At this rate we will have 26 content patches in the time it took my last MMO to release ONE (at $15 per month).
Just before the patch that launched the Aetherblade jumping puzzle I was scouting out in Gendarran Fields looking for a vantage spot to get a peek into the puzzle. I came across a gravedigger in a graveyard just outside the Ascalon Settlement that cautioned me about unusual activity after nightfall.
Curiousity piqued, I stuck around until night and watched the events unfold. Brilliant little easter egg, a prize for those who look for such things.
I’ve been playing pretty hardcore since launch and still discovering things like this everyday. It’s an amazing world we play in and it’s easy to see how much love was poured into it
It’s 5 am PDT. Devs are still sleeping
Squads are both PvE & WvW. Up to 30 players.
They have not disappeared. If you have a ticket you can still purchase or preview them from the vendor.
If you don’t have a ticket you can look on the Trading Post.

According to the item on gw2db.com:
Double-click to separate a transmuted item into the two base items it is made from. If the target item has been transmuted more than once, only the current appearance item and the current stat item will be recovered.
It lasted a month last year (with weekly updates), safe to assume that it will last a month this year as well.

As far as Scarlet having a role, it’s anyone’s guess.
Also they’ve said that they will add new content this year in addition to last years events.

Be aware that it is against the User Agreement.

Also please don’t compare him to Vayne because that guy actually makes some sense in his posts.
Oh, I do group them together, they are peas in the same pod. It’s a fairly common, transparent tactic on internet forums “White Knight vs. Black Hat”. They bump their posts and threads back and forth, keeping arguments and negativity on the front page. Our “white knight” will bump a controversial or trolling thread from 3 pages back under the guise of “defending”.
But on topic – Yay!! Nice looking LFG we are getting
Sparkfly overflow incomiiiiiiing!!!!
I got a Flare dye – woohoo!
(my favorite gold color <3)
Try exiting the game completely to reset your Trading Post.
It’s like asking “Which is better, sugar or salt?” or “Which is better, movies or television series?”
They are different games in different genres. I like MMOs so I like GW2 better.
I think it’s great that they are continuing to support GW1 for those who prefer it even though very few people are playing it these days.
My wild speculation guess is between Devon’s teaser about the PAX announcement and Hugh’s teaser in the livestream the other day, that the big announcement will be…..
GvG
I think the Krait Witch scared everyone out of the water.
:X
Smashing success. Take that 460k peak concurrency number and compare it to WoW’s peak concurrency of 1 million after MoP launched with 10 million subs. And GW2 has not launched in China yet.

I have not tried Fractal of the mist, what is it?
There are lots of endgame options in GW2, this ain’t your grandpa’s endgame
WvW is considered endgame by many. Many guilds refer to their WvW nights as raid nights, they min/max everything to try to push their server to the top spot on the Leaderboards. You earn ability points as you go which make you stronger. Working with your entire server, coordinating on teamspeak adds an epic level of endgame not seen elsewhere.
The endlessly scaling dungeon, Fractals of the Mists is considered endgame by many. Very few have reached the highest tiers.
Obtaining Legendary weapons is considered endgame by many. Now this is a weapon that is truly legendary since it is not something you grind out only to have it replaced with the next patch. It gets upgraded to the highest tier, you get the freedom of changing stats on it at will, it will always be Best In Slot.
Earning a spot on the Achievement Leaderboards is considered endgame by many. With the amount of content and achievements released every 2 weeks there’s always a new dungeon to beat, a new boss to conquer, a new game to test your skills, in other words, always something to strive for.
https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/na/achievements
For instance, most recently there was the Queen’s Gauntlet, an extremely difficult challenge only completed by a handful of players which rewarded a prestigious item to show their skill. You can continue to add gambits to the boss encounters for even more challenge.
PvP endgame can be seen as acquiring the rarest of ranks, currently the Phoenix (no one has Dragon yet)

Some people consider maxing their gear endgame. There are a myriad of ways to do this with more opportunities as the game evolves.
The list goes on, but hopefully you get the idea. It’s different from what you’re used to, but this game has endgame in spades.
There’s no denying their success and I think they’ve really hit their stride with 2 week updates.
They get a big thumbs up from me for giving me the most innovative, fun MMO experience I’ve ever had. Just looking at the sheer number of players everywhere, overflows on top of overflows and continual expansion of server and map capacity, I’m not the only one that’s thrilled to bits with this new direction
Just want to say Thank-You for a fabulous year of gaming and big congratulations to the ArenaNet team for their success!
You folks have created a masterpiece of a game, we love what you are doing, keep up the good work and take good care of yourselves
They released a high peak concurrency number in November of 400,000, so the 460,000 number is since then.
The trinity is training wheels for those that can’t get out of the fire.
I get the feeling he hasn’t attempted 6 gambit Lliadri
I have a feeling I’m going to need more coinage.
If you’re going to go there, SAB looks most similar to early 32-bit console platformers, e.g. Crash Bandicoot.
But I think that’s missing the point. If they really wanted an authentic 8-bit experience they would have done up SAB as a camera-locked 2D side scroller. It’s a tribute, not a simulation. The graphics only need to be “bad enough” to stand out.
You mean like this?

Hey all, no worries, we got you covered.
Weapons, armor and trinkets with magic find will become account bound, lose their current stats and will gain the ability to be double-clicked to select one of several stat options depending on the item.
For example, if you have an Explorer’s Pearl Staff, you can now double-click it to change it to any other crafting stat.
We will have a blog post about it with more extensive information as well, keep an eye on the website.
Hey Martin, thanks for the info!
Any word on how MF food will be handled?
Achievements from World 1 Open Again?
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School

I remember them saying yes to achievements in future releases, should be somewhere in the archived forum.
Go to the graveyard just outside Ascalon Settlement in Gendarran Fields. Talk to the gravekeeper. Wait until nightfall.
Find a Keeper in Mount Maelstrom. Kill it.
Complete the Flame Legion Battles meta event in Diessa Plateau. Enter the flaming portal if you dare!
Think of Hearts like bread crumb quests. They lead you into an area, but it’s the dynamic events that unfold there that’s the real meat of the game.
There’s all kinds of ways to gain experience:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Experience
And as Hjorje pointed out you are not limited to your starting zone. The game is not linear that way, you can level almost everywhere, including WvW.
I will NEVER pay a fee just to log in a game again. GW2 has proven that you don’t need sub fees to maintain and grow a MMO, heck they are putting out more content than sub based games.
Today some players found a bot in Queensdale. Some Mesmers ported it onto one of those balloon towers and because it auto "f"s constantly it took the balloon to DR. That was pretty funny.
So much win
I got one from the Pavilion.
Thank you for a fabulous year of gaming, ArenaNet! Congrats on your success
I believe you must do the instance. You can join in it with others, you don’t have to spend 6 hours unlocking it yourself.
This is correct. Party up with someone who has the instance portal and complete the dungeon and the pavilion and gauntlet are open to you again
You should have seen it before they nerfed it

^^
One thing I did was on launch -3 was flash create all my characters to reserve their names. I then went back over the course of some weeks and re-created them to customize their looks, maybe you did something similar?
I dont know how fansites such as Dulfy come by such vast amounts of information a day or so before content release, but please stop providing fansites with information before the content is released.
Let’s see, they made Dulfy a boss in Fractals and you’re a daily forum complainer – let me know how that works out for you
I finished map completion I think about 4 months after launch, a good size chunk of it after I hit 80.
It’s easier now with WvW since the starting areas change every week. I think the area that gave me the most trouble was Orr and some of the higher level areas since the mobs get pretty difficult.
This is the scaling feature, your life scales to what area you are in. So if you are lvl 11 with 916 health and you go to an area with lvl 2 mobs you will have much less health.
Not to be a party pooper, I love SAB, but there have been at least 4 threads that said the exact same thing in the last few days
The excitement is in overflow! \o/
Thanks for the gift!
