Nothing surprising about that. There are worse things that haven’t been fixed yet.
Speaking of which I was in a squad and we got the dragon to half health but it bugged out on us and transported us to an empty map
I was just there to finish the story but was lucky enough to get a good map so I ran with it so my total EXP was more than projected for that timeframe but still, would have been great to finish it.
Yeah … it looks like the game doesn’t know how to count. “This instance has 10 people and that has 100, obviously we should close the one with 100 people and move them to join the 10.”
? They can be bought with laurels once you have them unlocked.

That event also seems to have a high chance of breaking so that is another issue. If you are on NA I can open it for you though not right now. I have two of those crystals sitting around my inventory.
Come to think of it, waypointing is itself an exploit. You don’t see the natives doing it. They’re forced to walk around everywhere. We’re subverting Tyrian society and flaunting the immigration laws of the various regions by teleporting in and out without going through the TSA (Tyrian Security Administration) checkpoints.
Pocket raptors use waypoints. Even while they are in combat.
This issue didn’t exist until about a year ago? maybe 18 months?
Actually, it has been there since the beginning (and has been complained about many times already).
Good that QA was finally able to investigate it and prompt a fix to be worked on.
It’s… surprising that they haven’t heard about it before.
Heh I remember the time when it took something like 3 hours for an item I moved out of the guild bank to finally appear. The additional annoyance with these limbo items is that they don’t show up in the guild bank but the move is also not reflected in the log until the move completes.
The “Mission Slot PVE” upgrade gives missions with random difficulty.
Puzzles and challenges can also be done with other guilds but that requires a bit more setup than before they became instances.
Define “highest”?
To figure out the hightest, we must first define what constitutes altitude. Are you talking about highest altitude compared to sea level? Or highest altitude in terms of how far you could fall/glide down before hitting “bottom”?The fall in Drydock Scratch is pretty darn far.
Also, are you looking for the highest point you can get without void jumping?
Goemm’s Lab is probably highest but unless you run into the bug you generally can’t fall the full distance so that is something else to consider.
The OP is still hung up on two points that are already well-established:
- Death rushing isn’t specific to glass canon builds — anyone can use it in the open world.
- ANet doesn’t care — they have specifically mentioned the tactic (not by name) and added hard counters to it for instanced content (notably: raids and the HoT story’s final fight), added soft counters to it for some (but not all) boss fights (long distances between WPs and fights in HoT, silverwastes), and left available the possibility in most of the rest of the game (including, notably, the revamped Shattererererererererer fight).
I think you missed a third point.
- only people in glass cannon gear die which is not true but OP seems to be implying it from the first post

Also increased the distance from the nearest WP for Tequatl by making Splintered Coast Waypoint contested.
….holy crap on a cracker. Ok well than…I got a big decision to make tonight.
If we sold the deldrimor I have right now, I could get around 240g off the TP, minus whatever taxes, and we have all the other mystic forge gifts already, just dusk is holding us up…plus I still need 500 weapon smithing to finish it which will cost a nice chunk of money too. Ugh this is so hard. >_<. Realistically I’d say my group could get 6 deldrimor a day from crafting and buying off the TP.

Maybe the artist is just very patriotic. No matter how you dye the glider you’ll always have red, white and blue on it.
Well another problem I see is this
from the defeated Ice Elemental summoned by the Svanir Shaman
In the three years and thousands of hours I have never seen the Svanir Shaman actually summon an Ice Elemental. This includes the time I had solo it before they added the daily reward chest.
Based on Brogun’s speech an elemental should get summoned if the timer runs out but I’ve never seen Maw fail.
I’d say, give it a week or 2 and see if people addapt or if it is an actual problem.
This. People just need to learn the mechanics. Instead, folks look on ways to bug things out or just complain it is too difficult because they cannot faceroll the content.
Rather sad.
The problem with many encounters in this game is that many people do NOT want to learn the mechanics. Instead they want the mechanics to be about them and their build of choice, instead of them adapting to the mechanics. Which of course doesn’t make any sense. The player adapts to the content, not the content to the player…
Thats maybe what happens if people only hearsince 3 years :
go zerker, use metabattle build, DPS is king, nothing else matters ^^And if he is beatable without breaking the bar, i have my doubts that people will learn, since most still don’t even know the double damage spot at Clawmag .. even after years and i posted it in chat hundred times. So far in all those years i have only
twice seen it that we got to phase 2 after 1 icewall.
The double damage spots probably shouldn’t exist. At least not in the form they are now where you can deal damage to the enemy before the enemy is there or after they flew off.
Could be mixed with this suggestion https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Suggestion-Dungeon-tour-book
Turn in a book for one of
- pile gold
- pile of tokens
- some ascended thing
Rank farm or daily custom arenas are probably a lot more efficient than actually trying to play PvP if your goal is just the tokens.
On which class and how many targets around?
It is probably similar to items in other collections. You double click on the jar before the fight and it should fill it afterwards assuming it gets killed within 15 minutes which shouldn’t be a problem for Maw.
You can do that. The only thing to keep in mind is that it will have to be done on which ever character it gets bound to. That isn’t a big deal since the other 3 items are account bound.
It sounds like you wandered into a god statue AOE and got the debuff from it. Either that or you encountered a bug no one else has ever seen, in which case it should be reported.
there was a bug a long time ago with risen squires applying extremely long duration cripples so that wouldn’t be a bug no one else has ever seen :P
I have two characters with map completion. I still need Central Tyria Mastery points to complete the legendary mastery line that requires the Central Tyrial Mastery points.
I have all the skill challenges in the Central Tyria maps done, so its not about the challenges, it appears to be about “achievements” that specifically offer the red mastery point. I have almost all the achievements done except one last Dive Master point which I have failed every time I’ve tried it.
Some of the Go for the Gold badges and lost coins are still unfinished, but for the life of me, I think the numbers associated with them are not the same ones Dulfy has listed. From what I have discovered, those numbers don’t match up exactly. I am searching now for a posting that I saw showing a match up…but until then, I am at a stand still.
There are a few others that I am not able to obtain because I rarely do fractals or dungeons and I don’t pvp or raid. Surprisingly, I managed to get the Emperor’s Cloths by accident….I wasn’t even trying for it so when it popped up I was startled to see it.
Several of the fractal ones are extremely easy. Out of Cluck is probably easiest.
I just want an alphabetical option instead of the current inconsistent rearrangement.
I am still working on the the voodoo dolls for whoever implemented all these stupid confirmations that are already in the game…
That looks like a useful reorganization. But one thing that makes it handy is that it is alphabetical. I may be missing a sorting option (and shall facepalm if so), but when I’m looking to see how I’m doing on various machined weapons as I work towards profession elite weapons, I would vastly prefer scrolling to the “M” area over the current scanning a random jumble that re-sorts as the amount of completion changes in each collection.
There is an alphabetical sort option but either it doesn’t do what I think it does or ANet has a very different idea about the ordering of the English alphabet than I do.
Machined weapon collections doesn’t seem to show up if you try to filter the achievement list either. Unless it is completed. I have the greatsword completed and the staff unlocked but typing in Machined only shows the gs and back before I finished the gs typing in gs showed no results.
Has anyone gotten Airship Cargo Strap lately?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I tried that many times this weekend but I guess I was not lucky enough to look at the correct time. My attempts to taxi people in was even less successful.
Around 30 minutes from now should be a good time to check LFG.
Here’s the thing. If they wanted to limit waypointing in open world encoutners, they could. It would be easy to:
- reduce the amount of waypoints or make available waypoints contested
- disallow waypointing while other players nearby are still in combat
- remove contribution from players who waypoint
There is also the VW/Marionette approach. You can WP if you want but you won’t be able get back into the fight.
Heh, well that’s interesting.
I knew free accounts can’t select a specific server, but you can pick which region you’re in so I assumed the transfer option would still be available. But I just checked on my free account, even deleted my characters to start over, and I wasn’t able to transfer.
I assumed since you can pick a region (and since it restricts who you can play with) it’d be possible to transfer. It seems like an odd thing to stop them doing.
It does allow selecting server.
The chests resets one per day.
Free accounts can not transfer worlds.
There’s also the fact that picking up ice bows and fiery greatswords is a lot more painful when there’s a bunch of dead bodies lying around that you might start ressing by accident.
People calling for dead to wp is simply just because people being dead on the ground are irritating to everyone still alive, and don’t contribute anything. Not because it’s an attempt to game the system in some way.
They contribute negatively for getting other downed people killed because I couldn’t res the right person.
The game time is on February 1st already (reset was a few hours ago). So, that’s why the February brew is out now. And, as far as I know, you can’t get past brews if you missed the time period in which it was distributed. :\
You can, 11 months from now.
Essentially it’s a system which encourages you do login at least 1nce per month for 12 months straight.
I guess login rewards weren’t a big enough carrot.

Just ran into these as well. They exist in my transaction history but items wasn’t returning anything.
There are around 18 extras. Not having LS2 does reduce that wiggle room by quite a bit though.
1 in 12 isn’t correct since not all of those are mutually exclusive but I don’t think that is important. I think what is more important is that HoT maps are just crappy to go gathering. The fact that the main item gathered from these is Cassava Root which is only used to create account bound items doesn’t help.
If you have the ability to check another window, you can use http://dulfy.net/2015/11/09/gw2-hot-maps-timer-famme/ to know when night is coming/when it is gone. The VB Nighttime is global in the game’s open world.

This issue has been brought up since the introduction of Dragon Ball. Any reason to think there will be changes?
Things can be a bit weird. Did two JPs yesterday with no issue. Tried to charge the key at Fire Elemental it keeps deploying at inappropriate times.
Yes, that’s my experience too. I lump it into the lag problem of the game. Laggy areas, more issues.
The jumping problem has been there since gliding was introduced. People complained, rightfully, the it sometimes the glider did not deploy in time to save a glide and they died or fell too much to make the landing point when it finally kicked in.. ANET changed deployment to accommodate the various lags in the system (lumping them all into network lag) and the chute deployed in a better fashion, but the jump problem was now exacerbated. We all have different lags: our own machine, the internet ping, and the server lag at ANET, so we all get different results. Then various places in the game are more laggy than others.
Jumping upward doesn’t seem to have issues. Any long flat jump, where the character is dropping the 2nd half of the jump, and at the limit of the characters jump range, seems to be a lag dependent item as to whether the chute deploys of doesn’t. It’kitten or miss. Compound it with a need to stick the landing on a small column and it’s curtains.
I’d be happy with a toggle off/on, just as walk/run toggle.
Well I DID have 150 ping while trying to charge the key versus my usual which is closer to 85 but I thought the latest patch made glider deployment client side so ping shouldn’t matter.

Don’t care about either right now.
Make them glider skins? Well that might be hard to resist.
If you had it, applied it to items and then salvaged the items before the wardrobe was introduced then you might not get them unlocked.
Requiring “Use placeables” would make sense. Placing a decoration doesn’t permanently consume the decoration. On the other hand using the decoration as a crafting material would permanently consume the decoration similar to placing a banner permanently consuming one banner in storage.
Not sure which Red Lantern you are referring to but the one bought with essences of luck is also a decoration.
The dailies list won’t show automatically if you have other achievements selected/tracked.
Are they actually in storage? If they have already been placed somewhere in the guild hall it probably won’t count that has having them.
You can also get to the axemaster PoI in the day time with updrafts and maybe lean techniques for the additional endurance.
What people miss is that daily AP devalued real one time achievements.
1-3 AP for [insert random hard stuff like gold medal in a difficult adventure] – 10 AP for 2 games of skyhammer server a day.
What some people miss is that many people don’t care if it devalues “real one time achievements”.
Hint: those “real, one time achievements” are nothing to boast about. Try telling someone in or out of game that you got one and see if you get more than a blank look. It’s only the hard core achievement hunters who care even the slightest.
WHAT?! You are not impressed with my MAD SKILLZ at F’ing all those posts in Wayfarer Foothills?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO! A big resounding NO!
As I mentioned on my January 26th feedback thread, this is one of the “perfect” world events in the game. The Karka Queen? Seriously? What’s challenging about it? The fact that you are waiting for an organized map is a problem with the community not even bothering trying TT without the familiar commanders. Anyone could command it once they know what to do. Players can also contribute when they know what to do, the necessity for chat/TS use decreases with experience.
I mentioned the Marionette in comparison to Triple Trouble. I am not sure you played it when it came out. The Marionette failed almost every time in the first days and the rate of success was almost 50% by the end of its life. But the players still came to try again and again. God, I do miss those players…
Good times.
Marionette also had too much RNG in the mix. For something to be hard or challenging luck should not be such a big factor.
What RNG? Practically everything followed a set script.
Distribution of people on the platforms.
And? Is that really “too much RNG”? Practically every class combination that I saw were able to beat any of the lanes. This was pretty much a DPS& mechanics meta event.
It is too much RNG if you want to make any attempt at organizing the thing. Sure ideally everyone in the lane would be equal but that is not reality. There have been runs where one platform breezes through and another already fully wiped not even halfway into the fight. At that point it was already a guaranteed fail for that attempt.
You can’t consider disparities between player skill levels as RNG. Otherwise, everything in this game is “too much RNG”.
It is not player skill disparity that is the RNG. It is the inability to organize. There isn’t even a choice to organize. You just take whatever random distribution you get. I am not sure if it ensured somewhat even numbers between platforms. I remember there were platforms with 5 people and then the one next to it had 1.
