Can someone explain how stacks of dishonnor disapear ?
I understood the more you quit the higher it is and the longer you wait…but are the stacks slowly disapearing in time ?

Ther is a hudge issue in might stacking ability…I agree.
Reducing the number of stack per blast finisher is however not the solution as it would impact other classes that have few blasts.
Solution is to remove blasts finishers from ele (and engies).(how many ?…let’s avoid a hudge change first and let’s remove 2 to 3)…if not sufficient…let’s continue.
No class should be able to climb to more than 15 stack by itself on long term.
In top of that blasts can be used to clean co dition which is also op when comparing to other prof…
So simple….one must be ele not to see this option.
In fact unlike other esports..it is the game who makes kings…
Have two ubber op professions …and us gets world champions…the same that got wrecked by tcg in the previous meta.
This could only be esports if players actually are able to switch easily from one prof to another
Solo is not possible anymore…80% of defeat (was 50% (what it should be as average player) in solo before) …(close to)never a game with only solo players…always organized synchro team (at least 2 or 3 players) agaisnt solo players.
No more solo queue means no more pvp for me…(or build a team..which I have no time for).
I have no fun being cannon fodder for player having more time to participate in a team.

Ok i have always problem at night with gw2 connection, only with this game so it’s not a connection problem. Now i’m trying to play since 10 minutes but everytime i log in and press a button, start to lag, i can’t write in chat, change map, use skill, nothing! Then send me to select character window with “client lost his connection and bla bla bla”.
Checked connection everything ok, no problem with other game.

you will see that you have plenty of packet loss at a stage when trying to reach anet servers…you can have a perfect connection for dozen of servers…the path to anet servers can nevertheless be misworking.
Again the issue is that anet server locations is not reachable to an acceptable level for an important amount of players in Europe.
Some vpn have been used in a large way to find workaround to the usual network path.
Are european servers in Europe Anet?
When I “whois” the server the server is identified as located in Austin….I believe the EU servers are located in Germany. Last I heard the login has to do with the Austin servers that is why that comes up. But just due to the latency difference you get between the two regions I’d believe the US are here in US and EU are in Germany.
The /ip command in game give the auth server adress ????

It would mean there are one different auth server for each map you come in…I can’t beleive this.

Very fragile class and no…clones do not confuse very good player at all.
Many times are a server issues, not players issue.
I don’t see why a player needs to be punished if many times the main problem is the server and not the connection.

Exactly, people just like to make excuses.
There are people with bad connections, and those people RUIN the game for everyone else and do not deserve to play competitively, especially with people who do not agree to allow a “sketchy connection person” on there team (If I had an option, if you have bad connection, you get off my team).
When I lose games because my team is down a person due to them dcing or logging out, its very frustrating. Especially when you know you could have won and that your also on a massive losing streak.
I’m all for anet punishing people with bad connections, and am all for anet punishing them harder.
People don’t realize that we live in a time where we have smooth internet, but if your one of those people still living in weird conditions where you cant get smooth internet, than its your fault, not anet, its your fault. We don’t live in the 90s anymore, no more dial up. We are 24 years from the 90s.
Simple minded? Think about the impacts of having someone with poor connection on your team. one, your team lost because of that person. one person could be on a huge lose streak and quit the game because stupid stuff like this happening. one person could quit tpvp because stupid stuff like not punishing those people with bad internet. other two people, who knows, probably play another game and sooner or later will stop pvping because of it or quit the game too. The other team could have been the losers of the game, and because of poor connection guy on the opposing team, they got upscaled in rating and later on face many loses in a row because improper upscale and thus quit the game because losing consecutively game after game (IT AINT FUN LOSING 5+ games in a row).
Those preppy popular kids, they don’t lose 5 games in a row, so they wouldn’t know the feeling. That’s why you cant always go off there ideas, they only experience the good side of tPvP, they don’t experience loss after loss after loss, frustration after frustration after frustration.

Sometimes I even notice that dodge does not consume endurance. 30 sec later I am disconnected.
Now I can reconnect without waiting and on 10 sec I am back on server.
This means the following points:
- for a particular reason connection between my client (game on my computer)and the server is lost(I suspect high packet loss due to unaccessibility of Anet server in Europe)
- for an unknown reason the client is not able to reconnect to the server and it is not a pure network issue as relaunching the client make it possible to reconnect immediately.
I think something is also wrong on the client losing connection and unable to quick reconnect.
How to win ?

If you do not succeed time your spam better…and spam more.
Tested other professions…while I can do some nice burst…mesmer survivability is just sub par…look and compare helseth and sizer to get an idea…
They should dishonor people for dcing.
If you have bad internet than DONT kittenING PLAY period.
I hate matches where I lose because somebody “sorry guys I keep dcing”.
Don’t kittening play if you have bad internet it ruins the experience for your team. I play against good players constantly, I don’t have time for somebody to be dcing. Get your dishonor, stop playing the game if you are a dc freak.

Issue on connection is not only from internet connection quality of the player.
It is (and I think in Europe it is the most frequent case) anet server accessibility from some region of the worlds (country) can be awfull (read unacceptable).
People can dc from gw2 while in same time ts discussion continues without suffering any issue.

When i put my 3 on guardian staff I have immediately a first speed buff.
When i put nullfield with my mesmer first conditions disapear immediately.
I have been told a cele ele is strong against anything..maybe I am misinformed.

Frozing someone is a very bad idea which would be the base of tons of exploits…
(choose a 4v4 or 3v3 strong comp or dc as soon as strategical player is dead)
I feel the problem is simple :
remaining people should benefit from the ratio of time they were not at 5 in term of ladder evolution. A mix of their score at the end of the game and this ratio time.
Points lost = Standard point lost × team score/ennemy score × teamates cumulated time played / ennemy cumulated time played
Another nice tool would be a kind of pause for 50 sec max in case of a dc. Once reconnected everybody respawn (with a nice alert message before) at the position they were when dc was detected with same state (hp cooldowns score conditions…) . Of course only one chance by player to zvoid exploits.
I have been playing thief ever since this game came out. In fact all of my character slots are different variations of thief, this way I can immediately chose what I want to use without re-speccing my build.
What i am becoming frustrated with is the fact that we continue to be nerfed after each patch.
My choices are limited at the moment and I feel forced to play s/d , d/p or p/d… Literally any other build is completely weak against 90% of classes.
At this rate… one more nerf and im pretty much done with guild wars 2.

Go play a mesmer 2 weeks and then enjoy coming back to your spammy broken profession.
Even if we consider everyone who suffers from the terrible lag problems are at fault for having a bad connection (tho I still think a lot of the cases are sever side and A-net is in denial)
This just means DDoS attacks are going to be more effective, everyone in queue is a target to not only get trolled out but have it actually affect their stats.
Servet lag issues are due to two reasons:
anet server location (anet responsibility)
your provider decision to limit bandwidth to particular location
for instance because youtube generates lots of network data exchange on the network…some provider decided to limit bandwidth to some us server when you are in europe.
this could be managed by using a vpn making you go through other server than the limited ones

Providing a game hosted on us server is however anet’ s fault.
It is often claimed that server are in germany for Europe but network traceroute says it is us.
What is the issue these decisions are supposed to adress ?

Saying that..I am sorry to be rude but the decisions Anet took are just plain kitten.
1) It encourage people disconnected not to reconnect
2) It will do nothing on people intentionnaly raging and afking
3) by being disconnected (it happens frequently and it is a Anet server accessibility issue) you will be punished twice: you loose time making it hard to win the match and if by miracle tou manage to win…you loose because of dihonnor.
Meanwhile …people angry will just start to dance at spawn instead of leaving and same problem will continue.
Would really love to see how they think what theses decision could help. They should have some arguments ? Aren’t they ?

I personally would prefer not to destroy my tpvp stats anymore when I just want to play with a friend. But tbh I fear that non-ranked will turn into a troll-queue for fun builds with teams who arent really interessted in serious gaming.

A lot of games which had similar features became extremly boring just because only 1-2 maps were played over and over and over and over and [..]. Seing you makes me belive that mesmer can be a threat and has its place in meta while I see helseth (a very good mesmer) having the worst difficulties to survive and sometimes being shut down by a good thief focus the entire game.

macro would make you benefit from stow but latency should make it unoticable as the always 0.425 sec between your aa and your stow on your computer will become sometimes 0.450 or 0.400 or else depending on the network latency on server side.

Maybe macro can be detected if they catch the local(client) time of the event in the messages sent to the server…but I would be surprised they anticipated this.
First…I agree it needs to be fixed. One must be a macroer to find so dumb arguments not to do it.
Second … detecting macro is not obvious…because you have network latency which leads to variation of elapsed time between the two event (attack & stow) at server side while the elapsed time is perfectly the same on the client side.
Detecting macro would then imply catching all these events chronology on client side and send them to server for analyzis…likely not close to happen.
4 ele in each game at high level should show that something is wrong….and no 1v1 should tell the contrary.

No one class should be able to dominate several other classes in a game that values balance , in the majority of common settings.

Thief wouldn’t be viable without trickery. It has been designed for 1v1 so its normal to not have counter play. I agree about passive engi and necro though . IP , nightmare and repear all need a nerf.
Medi guard is an OK 1v1 spec but has mediocre mobility so its not a big deal. I’d say only engi and ele are OP atm just because of celestial .
Thief has been viable since launch and back then no one went past 15 in Trickery, the standard was 25/30/0/0/15 (this was still common for a long time after the class line changes). When Mug was nerfed ANet buffed a lot of other traits to compensate, naturally being ANet they went way too far with Trickery XII so we’ve been stuck with it until the next flavor of the month (Panic Strike) rolled around.
Steal in general has been revamped and buffed to the point where it suffers from serious bloat once traited, it’s not uncommon (even on DA/non-Trickery) for steal to do ten different things. Now this means that landing steal is critically important for said specs, but steal is 100% instant cast with zero warning… yes, the class mechanic can end up being countered by completely random dodges or evades. How in the world anyone thinks this is healthy or intelligent gameplay is beyond me. It is pure feast or famine based on the worst kind of randomness.
Personally I don’t think any of the classes are really balanced, they all have too many frustrating or silly aspects to them when abused properly.

But beign unkillable jungernauts is not their fault…it is simply in class design. When you start the game it is written : Wanna be highets burts highest survivability highest mobility highest stealth highest spamming machine ? => go to thief…it is in class design.
