I WANT THIS! HAhahaHaha
You want to maintain your position in the PVE world, you take your chances and go here :
Make the Obsidian Sanctum the WvW lobby, add the craft station there. However, I wouldn’t make people immune, just for the fun of it since the map is a pvp jumping puzzle/gvg/duel map. You gotta fight for your privilege to use the stations! lol

Great Post, EremiteAngel!
I loved the creative story and the videos. I was really rooting for you when you fought that one Chrono that moa’d you twice - you stuck with it, came back, and killed him! BRAVO!
Very cool post you got here! Oh and I loved the music in your vids! (You make me want to create a Reaper!)
All Hail Aberration – Demon Possessed!
I’m annoyed.
Good now that we got that out of the way, I’m personally only really running into Thieves, Mesmers, Engineers and Rangers while I roam. I do run into other classes, but so far in my experience I get into the most fights with these 4 classes. And I could possibly actually kill them if they didn’t have so much stealth. It’s aggrivating when you have your opponent almost downed, and BAM they have stealth and run away.
For those asking (or not) I play a Necro, we’re slow by nature. I also understand that each class has to have a foil, a hard counter. But I have the biggest issue with the large amount of stealth each of these classes gets. They get to heal up, and I’m stuck with half hp or no shroud left.
I’m also specifically talking about 1v1 fights, big groups it’s fine. I’m also probably in a minority that feels this way.
Hello Karnasis
I don’t play Necro/Reaper, but there’s a guy in the Necro forums that recently made a post that showcases his “8” Reapers. He’s Very POWER oriented (but I don’t think exclusively).
He has several videos on the below post where he’s doing a good amount of 1v1 and often time versus stealth classes – Dare Devils and Mez/Chronos. Some he wins and some he loses. Check out his style and approach as it might help you with dealing with the stealth classes. I enjoyed it and learned some stuff even though Necro/Reaper isn’t my thing.
Oh and he gives info on his builds and a bit of creative story to his post too!
Like many of us, I WvW every day and I craft every day in our Home BL. With that said, I made it a point of NOT doing so when we were being assaulted by a large enemy group and we more than likely (or definitely) had a queue. But I know that’s not the case for everybody that used the crafting stations on the Home BL’s. (Just read some of the comments in this thread for proof. )
About a month ago, there was a post regarding this topic of removing the crafting stations from the home BL’s. I stand by my comment then as I do now even though I’ll miss the convenience:
I concur – the crafting stations have no place in pvp zones. I mean… it is a nice convenience and allows WvW’ers to stay in WvW if desired when they need/want to craft, but it’s not worth it when ppl are using them when there’s a queue and more fighting bodies are needed.

Thanks, Anet! The loss is worth the potential gains imo!
Anet,
Tonight, the skill lag in the SoS/SBI/JQ match-up is really a joke, and it’s a bad one. You either need to limit the maximum number of players on a map to a quantity that your servers CAN HANDLE Effectively or vastly improve your hardware and/or software. Three to five second skill lag, if the skill depressed even goes off at all, is on the edge of unplayable. At some point you have to accept that your hardware and software have limitations and modify the game mode so that those limitations are not exceeded in order to provide the participants with a fluid and enjoyable gaming experience.
I usually WvW for no less than 8 hours on reset night and sometimes twice that amount of time. Tonight, after more than an hour of a 3 way in SoS keep with laughable lag, it’s proven to be more frustrating than fun. So…. sadly, I turned it off. :/

I’m going to miss being a part of the Sea of Madness! It was Hella-Fun being paired with you, GoM!
Take care! And may the earth behind you always be soiled with the blood of your enemies! o7
Council – you have been caught in the act of capturing the camp without permission, what do u have to say
Me – I just wanted some supplies to finish the cata to retake durios
Council – there was a vote of 3-2 for you to to not solo retake that tower because we needed everyone to run yaks
Me – but but…
Council – silence! You shall be punished, your sentence , 300 yaks to be escorted to the keep
Me – nooooooooooo alt f4
Council – rage quitting is an act of treason, you shall be banished to scout the DBL when the map returns
LMFAO …. this just made my friday. I will have a pint and relish this brilliant post.
Hear, Hear!
LOVED IT!
I would love to see a 1 Day/24 hour Gliding Event where gliding is allowed… FULLY with a kitten-ton of LAUNCH PADS and absolutely NO gliding restrictions on all 4 WvW maps. And for kicks, if/when you get hit while gliding, your glider closes and cannot be reopened, so you take the fall damage…. Hahaha! Adds a little risk to the equation.
It would be just one day where we could tear loose and have something of a party in WvW.
(Emphasis on the “1 Day” part. A week of it would be over doing it, I feel.)
It could make for a Saturday of PURE CHAOS… and FUN!
Just a thought…. now back to our regularly scheduled program!
Anet,
Speaking as someone that is WvW Rank 3029 with presently 37K BoH, 6800+ hours of play (90% of which has been in WvW) and who has 12 legendaries… how YOU decided to communicate this GoB acquisition change to the GW2 community deserves a grade of a “D-“ IMHO. This change doesn’t really affect me, but I feel bad for all the PVE’ers that are being shafted. Just reading some of the heart felt (and/or justifiably angry) comments from long time GW1/GW2 patrons that feel extremely let down by the way this change was poorly communicated and how it affects them is unsettling and upsetting.
To my fellow WvW’ers:
This kind of thing can happen to any of us (PVE’ers, WvW’ers, sPvPer’s, Dung/Frac/Raid runners, etc) if this kind of communication approach is repeated with something of this magnitude. As some of us have been doing I’m sure, try to be compassionate and help the PVE’ers when you see them in WvW working on their GoB. We all know what it’s like to do a game mode that we don’t really care for. But it’s that much easier, and can even be made “fun”, if we’re offered a helping hand from the Knowledgeable Community. Be that Big Brother/Sister for them!
And, Anet, for the record – yes, technically, you did notify the Community prior to the GoB acquisition change going into effect via the release notes in April – buried in sub-section “WvW” in paragraph 42, line 317. However, I would suggest using a much more visible way of communicating changes of this magnitude in the future, such as on the client loading screen (as others have mentioned), or my all time favorite — the IN-GAME Mailing system. If you would have sent a letter 1 to 2 weeks prior to just the accounts that had any BoH’s, it would have made many people in this 12 page thread aware of what was happening and when imo. And perhaps this is the kind of change that should have gone out to everyone… period. Like how you’ve sent out letters to everyone in the past when new content is released, containing a link to an NPC. (It would have been really NICE to have linked the GoB NPC in an official Anet letter to the Community.)
With the above said, I think the proper thing to do now would be to first address this thread (there is nothing here presently from Anet), and then provide the GoB NPC vendor for a limited time, which is then communicated via the IN-GAME mailing system so your patrons have a decent chance of knowing what’s to come regarding this situation.
Thank you, sincerely!
I play on SoS, and this week we are against maguuma and FA while losing pretty hard. For the first two day (Friday and Saturday) we hung in there, but by Sunday the server had apparently given up and the past two days have been totally dead. Nobody ever thought we would be competitive in the matchup and this has caused most of the server to take the week off.
Two days of action and now apparently 5 days of retaking towers when the other servers are done with them. And that’s boring.
Alpine is less roamer friendly than Desert, so even that’s boring.
Wasn’t the idea of server linking to put most servers on at least an even footing? The numbers game here isn’t working.
I’m on SoS/GoM, too, and have noticed as of Sunday the drop in our paired server’s participation. I’ve actually seen more familiar faces from GoM lately than the larger SoS guilds.
Perhaps when the smaller incremental scoring is implemented and servers don’t end up as far apart and have a chance at catching up, and the night-capping points not being so lopsided, then it might keep players interested in continuing the fight rather than giving up once a 20-40k point spread exists after 3 days.
pretty sure many SoS players don’t like being paired to GoM and simply don’t play or afk in spawn until more SoS commanders show up.
Synergy, I’m a SoS player and although I can only speak 100% for myself, I believe the gist of what you say for many is incorrect. I personally GREATLY appreciate all that GoM has brought to the table since the pairing – with commanders and players.
And as a matter of fact, I’ve been following GoM commanders almost as much as SoS commanders, especially lately. And, I agree – for the last 10 days or so, there seems to be more GoM commanders tagging up. Some of these fine folks I know are GoM commanders; others are unknown names to me, so they’re either new to commanding and/or could be from GoM. (Note: I’ve been on SoS for over 1.5 years, so I know most of the regular SoS commanders.) Regardless, I think we’re missing people on SoM (SoS/GoM) as of late due to other games being in beta/general release. (Some folks have told me that’s what they’ve been doing.)
GoM – Hat’s off to you! I’m glad we’re paired! And I’ll follow your commanders into Mag’s garri… any day of the week! (And I promise to “try” and stay on tag!
)

I just don’t know about you kids anymore……I grew up in the 80s where our heroes were Rambo and Ice Man. What in the mother of hell is that thing in the picture?
I’d like to know what that thing is as well.
But also, I grew up in the 80’s too, and who the heck is Ice Man?
Well… he could be talking about the Ice Man as in X-Men. I loved him in the comic books too. Or perhaps he’s referring to Ice Man from the movie Top Gun. (Maverick, Goose and Ice man. I loved that movie! )
Like you guys, I’m of Generation “X.” And I when I looked at that pic I thought, “What/Who da kitten is that?!?” too! LOL!
As far as the OP’s topic, yes, I believe Anet said in the current (or last) polling thread that they have plans on implementing some kind of in-game survey notification to WvW players in the future.
Now that there is queues sometimes in wvw can we please move the crafting stations to edge of the mists instead or the pvp lobby? When you have big fights going on and your back up is stuck in a big queue and you see 20 people at crafting stations this isn’t cool =(
( Especially on reset night ) No offense but crafting stations shouldn’t be in wvw or if it is it should be in EOTM where it won’t count towards server population numbers on the map. They don’t need to be in any pvp zones at all.
Great idea from OP and expanded on by Swagger! I concur – the crafting stations have no place in pvp zones. I mean… it is a nice convenience and allows WvW’ers to stay in WvW if desired when they need/want to craft, but it’s not worth it when ppl are using them when there’s a queue and more fighting bodies are needed. (I’m also down with adding them to guild halls.)
Anet,
If you’re willing to remove the crafting stations from the BL’s, would a quick fix be to just disable them for now? (I’m guessing removal will take more time and effort.)
Thank you for your consideration.
If you don’t like the time slice scoring and prefer another method then don’t vote for it, vote for one of the other points options. Get your guild and server mates to vote now or forever hold your peace.
1. Modify objective scoring to be relative to upgrade level
(Medium time frame)
-T3 upgraded structures will have a higher PPT.2. Rebalance scoring for actions that are not included in Points-Per-Tick
(Small time frame)
-Increased points for PPK and killing yaks and sentries.3. Implement scoring for objective capture
(Small time frame)
-Points for object captures, more points for a higher tier structure.4. Adjust scoring to be relative to current activity and population
(Large time frame)
-The skirmish time slice scoring and possibly the controversial action level change.5. Provide features that increase a team’s ability to recover from large point disparities
(Medium time frame)
-Last Stand catch up mechanic.6. Change WvW Tick timer to 5 Minutes
(Small time frame)
-More ticks, more points.7. No preference
-You like chocolate frosted vanilla cake with colored sprinkles.P.S Am I the only one who has a hard time noticing new sticky links on top of the forums? Maybe new red links should start with a sticky and then later placed up there after it’s been a few days, I’m sure it would get enough bumps to stay up. I just tend to ignore that small top part for some reason lol.
+1
Xenesis, thank you for your post! It helps with tying the bullets point in the “Let’s Talk Scoring” thread to survey choices available!
Many thanks, brother!
Quality of Life improvements did not win the vote, so we have no immediate plans to work on something like this. Also, while it might not seem like it, this problem is non-trivial to solve cleanly.
Tyler,
Although this pop up is only on the screen briefly, it really becomes a Serious Problem in Large Scale Fights, i.e. – a 3-way battle in SMC Lord’s room.
It’s hard as heck to try and deal with the plethora of enemy players (particularly in a small area), red circles, our commander(s) movements, and just in general trying to survive. And that’s when such a pop-up like, “Golanta has just been flipped by Green Team” or whatever, really becomes extremely untimely and unwanted. NOTE: I do agree that when I’m scouting, it’s really nice to know this kind of info via the pop-up, but that’s not the case for most players most of the time, especially those zerging imo.
I think the moral of the story here is:
For future features like this…
…if you’re going to implement something that adds obstruction to the player’s viewing/playing area, especially for WvW, at the point of implementation:
1) Make it so the feature is able to be toggled On or Off.
2) Make it able to be moveable and resizable like the chat window and mini-map.
By doing the above when a feature like this is implemented, it eliminates such issues as what we’re experiencing.
Please make some adjustments to it when you can. Thank you.
(edited by Krypto.2069)
I’ll have to agree with the OP and previous posters… 10PM Eastern Time is painful. (NOTE: Friday night reset is better than “anytime” Saturday imo!) But it would be nice if reset were at 9PM or even 8PM Eastern.
Thank you for your consideration!
McKenna and WvW team,
I just want to say a BIG – THANK YOU!!! for being so kind and asking the WvW Community things like this on your forums and using the polling method.
It really makes me feel like Anet and the WvW Community are on the same team now! This is GREAT! The sky’s the limit on what WvW can become!
Thanks, again!
PS – I love the WvW Rewards Track, and I have voted via the polling link.
I did some roaming on my Druid main tonight on our ABL and JQ’s, and I had a BLAST! I found some solo roamers, some two-men and three-men groups – both ally and enemy running around engaging in spontaneous skirmishes! Roamers were out and about and having a ball on the ABL’s. I won some battles, lost some battles… it was great!
Mannnn… I farted around with this 4 man group for about10 or so minutes, pew-pewing them from a safe distance and being a nuisance. >:) Then they messed around and got too close to our garri south of NET and jumped down the cliff. Well, that’s when some of my people showed up and we “laid the wood to them!” Ahhhh… such occurrences were not as common on the DBL’s.
Roaming was very fun tonight! Thanks, Anet!
(edited by Krypto.2069)
with blowouts so prevalent, maybe they should be 1/2 week matches……
Yeahhhhh… it might be something to try!
A 2nd reset on Tuesday at patch time sounds interesting and the SEA and Early EU folks would probably love it on the NA servers. Also it could give us two different server matchups a week. I personally like variety, but the only bad thing would be interruptions due to additional patches on the Tuesday reset if done at patch time.
Possible?
Match 1:
Friday @ Reset – Tuesday @ Patch time
Match 2:
Tuesday @ Patch time – Friday @ Reset
(edited by Krypto.2069)
Oh yeahhhhh, they did…
See you later Mag/DR and SBI/CD. It was fun!
The campaign starts NOW!
The Alpine maps are too small, simple and boring. Please can we have the Desert maps back?
You do know they’re going to come after you with Torches, Pitch Forks, and Tar, right?
Seriously, though… it would be nice imo to see a rotation of sorts. DBL one week or month, ABL the next.
Anet,
Others have expressed this kind of idea as well. Maybe after the WvW community has had a little time to play the upgraded ABL map, we can try a rotation?
If server is full, for whatever reason, you should not be able to transfer there. There is no real reason guild would want to join Full server anyway as they would simply spend hours sitting in the queue.
I have already argued that high population servers probably had many old players returning to WvW and many new players trying it now with many changes that have nothing to do with server linking. To get them down from Full status players need to start transfer off first (or stop logging into WvW for next month) to make room for new players to join them.
They’re full because the servers are locked, not because of a huge influx of returning players.
Towelie, you seem to have it backwards.
Fogleg’s explanation makes perfect sense in my mind as to why all of the hosting servers have become “Full” since the linking.
Edge of the Mists is the PvE version, lol
LOOOOOOOL!
ikr!
I cannot express how pleasing it is to battle for 8+ hours straight tonight and know that I didn’t miss picking up a single loot bag thanks to WvW Autoloot! The fighting is so fluid now; no more pressing keys to try and pick up my stuff during battle, or worse – trying to run back to “get your bags”, or even worse still – just leaving my bags behind! Those days are GONE, baby!
Nownow, let’s not get too excited. It can still be improved. I have lost SEVERAL bags already this week when I die and bags appear next to my cold dead body.
Yes, if you die and “lay there.” Don’t do that. If I’m not mistaken, when you respawn, your bags then immediately resume being autolooted as your team kills the enemy and you “run back!” to the fight.
I think that the autoloot not working when dead is a good thing overall. It encourages people to respawn and reengage. With that said, I know it’s good to lay dead and gain useful intel sometimes (and for other reasons), but often times your team needs you MORE to respawn and run back. So I’m cool with Autoloot not working for a dead toon.
If I only had a gold for every time one of our commanders on TS said, “If you’re dead, respawn and run back!”…I could afford that new condo in Divinity’s Reach!
(edited by Krypto.2069)
I noticed in the latest Guild Chat that Tyler seemed really glum, almost as if he expected all his recent work to get torn to shreds by us.. Afraid of the torches and pitchforks we’ve brandished so commonly since launch.
Well, that’s not the case from me at least. I can say I honestly feel like a new era has dawned, and I very much look forward to seeing what they do next. My personal boycot of the gem store is over, my faith is restored, I’m willing to invest in the game’s future and have an outlook on the future that faded way back in 2013.
Happy workers are good workers, let’s give the guys something nice to read for a change.
Hear, Hear! +10
Well said, LetoII! And I 100% agree with your stance and feelings towards WvW with the latest patch (Spring Update) and the direction Anet is moving in with WvW and the game!
Tyler and Anet WvW staff,
What you’re serving up now is Top Shelf!!!
And it’s so incredibly nice to be able to have a Reward Track and look at all the cool skins that I’m earning. And the Quality and the Quantity of the LOOT!!! OMG… DA LOOT!
(Did I mention “the loot?” LOL!) Folks were getting ascended stuff left and right tonight! And the other night I got an exotic that insta-sold on the TP for 10+ GOLD!!!! (Man, I’m getting paid so well now in WvW, I haven’t run any PvE events since the Spring Update was released! HOT kitten !
)
And there’s a bunch of more stuff like the polls and communication with the WvW Community from Anet! The server linking, which has imho, been a very positive experience! The Permanent Portable Provisioner is the bomb; it’s saving me gold! And many other WvW improvements! It’s ALL so refreshing!
TL;DR:
In short – Tyler, you’re THE Man! Thank you, Thank you!
heres a tip, no queue involved
dont worry its not PvP, PvP have queues too you knowits WvW
Norbe,
That picture is just EVIL!... Pure EVIL! Omg… LOL! >:)
(I love how you circled it in red. :P)
BUT… You know real WvW’ers don’t want to go in there, man. Not unless they’re leveling a new toon, K-training, or because they enjoy… “ganking the under-powered masses for fun and profit” (words from a thief friend of mine). LOL!
Krypto , how long did it took you to get in wvw ?
Usally I’m at my PC and spamming the map window to enter WvW at reset. But this reset kicked off so quickly after Anet booted us out of the old WvW match up, that I missed the maps opening back up by like 30-60s. (I was in the john… LOL!)
EB had a queue immediately, like 40 some people. The BL’s didn’t, though, so I went to our SoS BL (no wait/queue), and then I queued for EB. It probably took about 45 min for my EB queue to pop, but I was having such a great time on our SoS BL (thanks [Rx] guild, GoM folks, and our enemies! ) that I decided to stay there. And I was there for 8 hours (til about 6AM EDT US time). Then I went to EB, which had a 1 person queue at the time. And the battling continued!
I was willing to go wherever to get my “battle” on. The DBL’s when full of people make for very interesting battles. Loved it!
NOTE: per our people talking on TS, EB’s queue got up to 100+ and the BL’s queued up too shortly after reset time – 40/50 deep, I think. Not as bad as EB, thankfully.
Conclusion: On reset night, if you’re NOT there at reset time, it’s going to take awhile to get into WvW, especially EB. For at least right now. With all the positive changes Anet made to WvW in this patch, old vets are returning, new PVE’ers are trying it out, and, heck… Anet even made me break out with my warrior due to the stab changes. Was great fun!
(edited by Krypto.2069)
Anet,
I agree – you did a Great Job reviving WvW with the current changes put in place in the Spring Quarterly update! I did WvW for 15 hours straight since reset on Friday night! LOL! :P (I had several.. and I do mean several cups of LARGE COFFEE!) It was So Much FUN and such a Constant BLOOD BATH!
I also enjoyed the server linking as it allowed me to see some old faces and some new ones from my days on GoM. (I’m on SoS and have been for about 1.5 years now.) We had some EPIC Fights on the BL’s and on EB during my 15 hour stretch. It really reminded me of how WvW was a couple years ago or so. It was very nice!
Some things that I think would be nice to change would be to do something to Maintain Server Identity. Maybe a short term solution would be to have the hosting server’s name be used one week, then the visiting server’s name be used the next, since you’re planning to have the pairings maintained for awhile. So this week, we’re all – SoS, but next week we’d all be GoM. This could help with giving the visiting server glicko points too. (NOTE: I do like some of the creative combination names I’ve seen floating around on the forums – Gates of Sorrow and Sea of Madness both ROCK!!! )
Also, I saw a few posts about having dynamic maps based on population size. I think this would be a great idea to also employ. It could help with queues and keep people on a true WvW map rather than going to EotM.
Oh, and I almost forgot… the DBL’s, when full, are Hella-FUN! When Alpine returns, please consider a rotation of the ABL and DBL.
Thank you, Anet!
Haha, that was a long time ago. Good game _ ^ sorry toke me 3 years to reply.
Hahahaha!
Ok, that necro’d reply was soooo worth it!
I initially said to myself, “That looks like the Alpine map! OMG… is Alpine back already?!?” Then I noticed the date of the original post. (Laugh of the Day right there! Thank you! )
My autoloot isn’t working in WvW. I have all the points invested in the mastery required (the wvw one and the pve one) and it’s not working.
Am I missing something? Is it not entirely working? I see a few boxes to tick under options and I have them all ticked.
Melanion,
My autoloot works perfectly. I posted a screenshot of my Options config and WvW points screen while in WvW and posted it here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wuv/Auto-Loot/first#post6106250
Perhaps if you make your config the same as mine, yours will work too. (NOTE: I don’t have AOE Loot on Interact checked.)
Anet,
A possible solution… when entering WvW after such a change, give the players a Pop-Up option to:
A) Reset All WvW Points
B) Do Not Reset WvW Points
And if you want to be nice, put a check box at the bottom that says:
*Check here to apply the above selection to all characters on your account.
Can someone clarify;
If you are very high rank and have many left over WvW points you can get the entire track done with them?
Sorry, currently don’t have internet so can’t play the game, only phone.
Hi Zephyra!
I’ve attached a screenshot of my Options config and WvW points screen so you can see what I have while in WvW. (As you can see, I’m at our DBL’s spawn in the SS.)
Now when I kill something in WvW and there’s loot to be obtained, the loot instantly and automatically goes into my inventory. I do not have to click on it or hit any buttons. (I do see the loot briefly show up above my mini map as it’s being auto-picked up.)
NOTE: I DO NOT have Advanced Logistics completed in the Central Tyria Pact Commander Masteries. NOTE 2: I didn’t have to check the autoloot boxes in Options. They were already checked when I looked. (But I may have clicked them in the past and don’t remember.)
I hope this helps.
how do you unlock it?
Just put 10 WvW Rank points in the Provisions Masters WvW mastery and then buy the Permanent Portable Provisioner (vendor token that sits in your inventory) from any outfitter merchant, and BAMM!!!! You’re good to go!
Sweetness!
This is a wonderful and very unexpected WvW addition! And I can pop the vendor and buy them on the fly – anytime and anywhere! How cool is that?!? HOT kitten !
Anet,
There’s a lot of delicious WvW candy in this patch! And I love the flavors!
I’m very glad to see that you’re walking the talk and back in the Shipping business.
Bravo!
I can’t wait to see what reset is going to be like!
Thank you, SINCERELY, for the plethora of positive changes to WvW!
PS – now just throw a couple devs back on them there legendary weapons, and, “Woahhh, Nelly!” LOOK OUT!!!
… for the love of the game nuke that DH invisible fence!
^This
Hunter’s Ward... AKA -Longbow 5... AKA- Invisible fence – NEEDS To Be FIXED!!!
IT’s BUGGED!
My experience with it has been that at least, and this is no exaggeration, 50% of the time it’ll land on the victim, and Hunter’s Ward is Totally Invisible! No glowy chains, no red circle – NOTHING! IMO this makes it quite a serious bug that’s exacerbated for an already OP CC skill which lasts 6 friggin’ SECONDS. You know?!?
Anet,
Quite frankly, this is the kind of bugged situation that Should NOT have to wait for quarterly updates to remedy.
I wonder if that’s the best meta-joke of the post or if they genuinely forgot us…
I’d bet on the latter.
If it was the former, they’d write something like “Everything’s fine.”
Hmmmm… idk! But the more I think about it, perhaps leaving us rangers totally out of the April Fool’s Joke list was the joke indeed! Because we are historically so devalued when compared to the other classes. (Other classes always does whatever we do… better. Right? Or so they think. )
Like you, OP: Avian 3 Mini Pack – contains Mini Raven, Owl and Hawk.
I made Nevermore, so it would be nice to have the Raven mini.
while at WvW
we kill / down this player
he was still able to get back up
heal himself , took no damage
got FULL HP back
WTF ?
is that any class skill ?
when you die in wvw u can heal without taking any damage for 3 of us ???
and got FULL HP back , FULL HP
after that I message him , he told him im reporting him for using hack
he said , cussing then said ANET dont ban they dont care ?
so anyone can use hack and they dont get ban for it ?
Keviin,
I’ve seen what you’ve described a couple times now. I saw it for the first time last weekend — Dude was in the downed state for 2 seconds after1v1 combat then got up and started running! I was like, “WTF?!? o.0 That’s new…. HAHAHA!!!” So I put a few more arrows in his behind and downed him again, then staked his Freddy Krueger kitten! LOL!
NOTE: He was NOT a warrior in Vengeance and there was no one else there or anything else to rally off of. It was either a weird new bug or, more than likely, a new hack. /shrugs
Hey guys…
…we have a couple questions first…
Tyler Bearce, I want to sincerely thank you and the WvW staff for considering to change the reset time back to Friday’s. Although it’s not the most critical issue that’s been plaguing WvW since HoT’s release, it has been important to many of us, especially our SEA and OCX folks.
But what I really want to emphasize here is why this communication from you is even more important than what the communication is about.
1) Someone from the Anet Staff came to the WvW Forums and posted… anything! You didn’t do it on Reddit! You did it here on your own Official Guild Wars 2 Forums Bravo!!! )
2) BEFORE implementing a change to WvW, you came to your WvW forums and Asked the WvW Community in the WvW Forum their opinion on the possible change! (Quite frankly, I’m shocked. Happily so, I might add. )
It’s this kind of approach – coming to the Official GW2 WvW forums and asking the WvW community their opinion on something – that’s been so desperately requested by the WvW community for a very long time. And I love how you did it… the verbiage, “Hey guys…” and “we have a couple of questions first...” This approach makes me feel like a welcomed and valuable family member or friend being asked his/her opinion regarding something important to us all. This is a VERY BIG STEP in the RIGHT Direction for the new WvW leadership at Anet!
Please keep up this kind of approach in the future days and changes to come to WvW. The WvW Community really, really desires to be “part of the process” that helps evolve this incredible game mode into what it can become!
I salute you, sir! o7
(as we WvW’ers do in game )
Thank you!
PS: I like Friday reset at its old time, which I believe was 8PM EST/5PM PST (9PM/6PM would be my second choice.) Thanks again!

I’ll keep this short…
Anet, talk is cheap.
My suggestion…
Put the Test Dummies/Golems on the BL’s. There are no stat bonuses to worry about and plenty of space. Plus: if they’re on the BL’s (and maybe exclusively), it might attract more people to the BL’s, which is usually needed in most tiers.
I’m enjoying the changes to reviving people. The servers or guilds who depend on numbers to fight can get whittled down until they wipe now instead of downing/killing some then watching as they get speed resd.
Amen, brother bloodletting wolf! I’m loving the change, too!
Now I feel that if we just hang tough and keep at them, we do have a much better chance in a 10v30, for example, if our team has the better tactics! This change makes your kills actually count… MORE in a large battle. Sure the fallen can respawn and run back, but that’s a heck of a lot better than being speed rez’d on the battle field in mid-fight. I can’t tell you how many times over the last 3 years, I would put some dude into his grave only to be kitten-off soon thereafter when 5 of his buddies speed rez his kitten dead body in mid-battle. GRRR! And I’d say to myself, “That was TOTAL BS!” Thankfully, this is a thing of the past now.
And it gets even better when some dude tries to be Capt’n-Save-A-Joe and rez a downed buddy only to get downed and KILLED himself. TWO FOR ONE, Baby! There’s a large risk and cost to trying to rez someone that’s downed now when you really shouldn’t.
Oh yeah, and no more rally-bots for the masses. Only one person can rally now off a single enemy death!
Thank YOU, Anet

Thank goodness, my thief killing guardian was ready to file for unemployment.
It will be great to see some thieves roaming again.
Hahaha! That was a good one!
IMHO, this is a learn-2-play issue (and I don’t use that term often).
As mentioned:
1) Try using the other exits Often that’s all it takes.
2) Go out en masse (larger groups). No walking out alone if you’re frail.
3) Use your skills and talents to escape or “fight back”and kill the enemy. Like Maximillian intimated – there are money making opportunities here!
4) Use situational awareness. If you’re at spawn and your keep is contested, assume there are thieves, mezmers and the like hiding in the bushes out front. You should assume that anyway, but definitely under the above circumstances. (WvW is a PvP zone, you know? )
Don’t get me wrong — I have no profound love for the thief profession and I absolutely hate mezmers. But they are doing their server a service by keeping the enemy’s reinforcements from reaching their militia, and they’re having fun and getting paid (loot bags and PPK). And if you’re oblivious (or lazy) enough to go lolly-gagging out in the great wide open like you’re in Queensdale and you get ganked, then you deserved it (as would I).

The ideal system would be a fixed upgrade path as now (no trolling), with zero cost to the player as now, with X number of dolyaks required but triggered by player interaction at each location.
Agreed. When a keep reaches 20/20 dollys for T1 the counter stops and no dollys count (but they still add supply). A player would go to the lord as say “Yes, upgrade to T1 now please!”. Then its T1 and the next counter to T2 start.
+1
I concur! This would be sweet what you two guys have said above. It would create opportunity for the defender(s) to scout and report the enemy if spotted, and/or get into a confrontations on the way to the tower/keep and call in for back up, which means more fights! And all of this creates an atmosphere where if you put in the time to watch over an asset and see it thru to fortified, you’ll be more apt to keep an eye on said asset. And it’s another reason for the enemy to want to take if from you! And… having a “set path” for upgrades makes trolling a non-issue and promotes more people willingly kick-starting the upgrades because it’s free and they’ll have no fear of screwing it up.
Anet, you’ve taken some good steps in the right direction, please consider what the community has said above for implementation. Thank you!
I HAVE QUESTIONS.
What did this help with? Also, it’s still doable if you hit jump and ancestrals at the same time as you would with jump-dodging. But again, why?
If you want to see why Anet took the mid-air use of Staff3 – Ancestral Grace away from the Druids, just do a youtube search for “Druid WvW – Invis Walls Needed.”
Basically, some of us Druids didn’t know how to respect the freedom/the privilege we had with using the skill in mid-air. Therfore, Anet did what was necessary – they removed its mid-air use. (It was the obvious and easy fix.)
And, honestly, I don’t blame Anet one bit. After watching the video, I don’t think most people would blame them either.
Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. /shrugs
Now GW2 is also crashing spontaneously and often (like once every few minutes) when moving around in EBG too. I am also on SoS.
I’m sending out an SoS to have this fixed… lol. Seriously, WvW is presently unplayable.
Then there is also a third thing. The exit button in the WvW-Dialog. This seems to be a bug to me. While the map-buttons are dimmed and are not usable during combat the exit button remains usable. I think it should be dimmed and unusable during combat like the map-switch buttons.
After 5 month finally fixed. Is it just my impression or does the WvW-bug-backlog really get shorter

The “Leave the Mists” button no longer functions when dead or in combat.SFR ganker trash rejoice.
What is with all this ganker BS? It’s not even about ganking or being ganked. (I surprise people and get surprised all the time. Sometimes it’s 3v1 in my favor or 1v3 in theirs or 1v1 and we duke it out; WvW is chaotic like that and I love it for this reason.) For me this issue has always been about how a toon exits out of WvW while in combat and what GW2 does next.
If you get attacked and don’t want to “finish” the fight, fine — Alt+F4, Hit the Leave the Mist button, yank out your Ethernet cable… whatever. I really don’t care. But Anet should have Hot-fixed MONTHS ago the issue of GW2 not producing the loot bag (and also PPK now) universally, regardless of how a toon left the game.
Anet, Finally you fix it. But stuff like this should not take so freaking long! You know?!?
What the title says. We can’t rezz dead people anymore and points seem to increase in/after fights.
Really? Although it’s probably a glitch in the Anet Matrix… but… THANK HEAVENS!
I’ll take it early! And now we just need those WMD’s (nuclear warhead banners) reduced to rubble and maybe we can get back to having skill and tactics decide who lives and dies.
Shut up.
No! HAHAHA!
