OP, I see where you learned “Zojja’s Claymore (Ascended)” in your chat log. In the Crafting SEARCH window, type “Zojja” and it should show up for you to craft it.
GL!
change true to false, or vice versa – fix?
Hahaha! ikr!
On the surface, it sounded like a boolean issue to me too! But after 2+ weeks of my minions (err… “pets”) still doing whatever the hell they want when set to avoid combat, my guess is that the boolean var is working fine; it’s the code reacting to it that’s severely hosed!
/shrugs
you just hacked your self arena net are you stupid
I lol’d
I did too…LOL.. because he’s right! With this “joke”, Anet probably got more people to NOT play GW2 today than many hackers who have attempted to do the same! (Look at the forum postings for evidence.) That’s sad.
I play every day. And tonight I logged in, tried to WvW and it was horrible. So I came back to the forums, found how to turn the sepia off and kill the annoying idiotic, drunk/stoned sounds my toon was making and tried battling again… but it was still bull-kitten. So, yeah, I agree with Merciless – self hacked.
I tested and you can only see names through walls with postproccessing on low or high. ‘None’ does not enable this bug.
Hmm… Looks like there’s a bunch of enemy players in Danelon camp. I wonder if any commanders will use this April fool’s x-ray vision bug as a WvW exploit.
It’s not like it’s obvious to anyone that’s looking for bugs within this patch or anything. /sarcasm.

Ranger pets are slowly being turned into minions… just a theory. hahahahaha
Ok, for those without empathy…
I would have appreciated the time spent on this “March 31st” joke to have been spent fixing some of the kitten-ton of bugs that remain broken. Heaven forbid Rangers get the class mechanic of being able to set pets to Avoid combat/Attack fixed after two weeks of being broken, or the GWAMM situation resolved, or the other 2 dozen bugs/issues to be given some attention. -.-
I’m sure it probably was planned well before, but it was “implemented” TODAY! Which didn’t have to happen.
HoM is disabled too. Just farmed up my 10 HoM points for the fire sword and can’t get it. Pretty mad actually… Idc about titles but I earned that god kitten sword.
Photon, I hope you and all the other GW1 patrons get your due justice… and soon! I’m sure Anet shut down the HoM as a damage control measure, just like they did with disabling golems in WvW when it was exploitable.
Try to hang in there for your fire sword. I’m doing the same regarding the issue with ranger pets presently not being able to be set to avoid combat. Perhaps we’ll both see some fixes this week.
sold some ectoes at highest buyer earlier and didnt receive any gold; tried selling something after and it Errored out.
can i get a refund or something?
Yes, happened to me too. Relog and your gold will show up. It’s hanging on the sale for some reason. And until you relog, you wont get your money. This just started happening since the server wide DC about 1 hour ago.
Edit: update – looks like they’re having another sever wide DC right now.
(edited by Krypto.2069)
Personally, I’d have no problem if I never saw another golem in WvW. This is one bug that I hope NEVER gets fixed! (Or it at least becomes one of those bugs that Anet sweeps under the rug for years.)
Hey, man, I feel your pain! It’s bad enough that the Guard/Avoid Combat option is NOT able to be “HOT KEY’d” so you have to click the kitten thing with your mouse button, but now it’s not able to be toggled at all.
And this isn’t fixed yet??? WT… -.-
bug 1:
When I slide field of view slider to maximum view, upon returning after log out, FOV resets to normal view unless I slide the slider again to maximum.
Yup, I can confirm bug #1. After restarting GW2, the FOV is reset to “normal” pre-March 16th view. However, for me, my FOV slider is visually all the way to the right in options after restarting. To get the actual FOV back to maximum, I had to move the slider to the left then back all the way to the right.
NOTE: I must do this every time I restart GW2.
I concur! I’ve experienced this pain the kitten situation often times on the Borderland WvW maps, particularly at the SW and SE camps. I main a ranger and it’s been a problem… forever. With that said, I have seen some improvements here and there, but it’s still an issue for sure and need more attention.
This “Avoid Combat” Ranger bug is another casualty of the March 16th patch.
Anet, I mostly play WvW. And pets like the Red Moa, Blue Moa, Brown Bear, Fern Hound, Pink Pig and Siamoth I regularly keep in a state of “avoid combat” because their special abilities are beneficial to me/the player.
In WvW there’s often spontaneous combat with enemy players, and it’s essential to have as much control over your beast as possible. (It can be the difference between dying or surviving an encounter.) And now it’s harder to keep the above list of pets at my side to aid me in combat.
Please fix this bug that the March 16 patch created ASAP. Thank you!
…I am nervous as hell, when HoT comes out the amount of issues and bugs that will be there…
This^ … a thousand times… THIS^
OP, I share your concern.
Guys, I had a similar error/issue 2 weeks ago. And, yes, for me it was on Anet’s end, but Support got it all cleared up and I was able to buy gems afterwards. (It was about a 24 hour turn-around to get it resolved.)
I encourage you to put in a support ticket if you have not done so already. GL!
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Buying-Gems-in-BLTC-error/first#post4807742
Yup, same here, Whisper.1627. About 20 to 30 minutes ago, I started getting serious skill lag and rubberbanding in WvW. It’s been pretty fine all weekend for me until the last 1/2 hour. 300-400ms latency.
Same issue here on three different computers. Please let us know what they tell you.
I did get a response during the afternoon yesterday from a gent in Support, saying that they’re researching it. I told them about this thread and linked it in my ticket submission. But I would suggest that you (and anybody else with this error) submit a ticket too if you’ve not done so. That way they have your experience and data directly.
Final UPDATE:
Ok, I got very positive news:
Support came thru for me! Within 7 hours of submitting my ticket, I got a human response. Within 24 hours, Support wrote back saying the following:
“Thank you for your patience. I have reviewed your account and cleared any restrictions. You should now be able to make your purchase(s).”
And I was indeed able to purchase gems in game, no problem, after getting this email message.
In my book, a 24 hour response and fix is good, quality service.
Thank you, Anet Support!
I hope you have the same luck, guys!

I’ve purchased gems before in the past and never had an issue. But today, I tried buying gems for the first time this year and I’m getting the same error as the OP: “Unfortunately an error has occurred. Please try again later.”
This problem is something on Anet’s side of the house. /shrugs

Zekk, do you play any other MMO games graphically comparable to gw2 that you can load up and test to see if you get similar fps results? If possible, log into another graphically intensive MMO game with the settings on high and see if you have the same low fps. This could help determine if the issue is on gw2’s side or not.
And if you’re tweaking things in gw2, try turning down (or off) anti-aliasing and shadows. GL!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention… if the other game runs fine, then try repairing the gw2 client files. Heck, try repairing them anyway. Perhaps your gw2 client files are corrupted:

I would hate to be A-NET… Don’t do something = they don’t care. Try something = they fail. No matter what they do or do not do they are doomed.
No, Anet’s not doomed if they don’t half-kitten their approach to WvW changes. If they were going to give scouters tools, like flares or air support as some people have mentioned. And also implement a reward system for scouting…. say if you’re a scout and you set off a flare for a structure that gets attacked within 300 seconds and it’s ultimately defended successfully, then, as the scout, you get a reward chest. Now we’re talking!
Anet’s only doomed because they said they’re planning on doing what I see as essentially taking one of the tires off the car then trying to run it around the track to see if it’ll get a better lap time! That’s just madness! And so is what Anet’s looking to do with no-white swords without adding scouting tools and a proper reward system.
Anet, don’t half-kitten it!
/throws mic down!
Hey brother, I don’t think you’ll get that message once you’ve gotten all the pets charmed. I haven’t see that charm message for ages.
But you know what would be funny? For one ranger to be able to charm another ranger’s pet in sPvP or WvW… and then Sic ’em on his former owner! hahahaha! xD
Anet, seriously… BRAVO!!!!
I can really appreciate you putting in a feature that some people might find useful but others could easily find annoying… AND you implemented a way to turn it OFF (or ON) from the start! That’s what I’m talkin’ about!
If some people don’t like the feature for whatever reason, fine… no problem. Two clicks and.. BAM! Everything is back to the way it was. NICEEE!
Please keep this kind of implementation up!
Thank you!
CLAP, CLAP, CLAP!!!!
Heck, I don’t even mind being a “pet class” and having my pet take up X percent of my damage ability. As a ranger, I feel that’s par for the course. So I’m cool with that.
My problem is the fact that…
The Stow/Activate button cannot be mapped to a key!
… (and let’s not forget the Guard/Avoid combat button’s inability to be mapped as well!)
Rangers should have the option to map these buttons to a key and not have to resort to old school mouse/pointer clicking to use the Stow/Activate (and/or Guard/Avoid Combat) buttons, which is a pain in the kitten to do I might add!
There are times that I stow my pet just before I go invisible as to not give my position away to the enemy in WvW. It would be really beneficial to be able to hit a button on my keyboard or mouse to do so.

OP, I’d like to direct you to what one of the GM’s, Michael Henninger, said about how to report hackers/cheaters in a post about 1.5 weeks ago. Below is the thread and the quotes:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/Ingame-GMs-do-they-exist/page/2
[tl:dr] Use the in-game botting option when reporting the perpetrator. A GM will come in game to observe the act in question and move forward from there.
I hope this helps!
-Krypto
All of us (GMs) have character names starting with GM (GM Proheals, for example). We are online 24/7 and responding to reports sent by you via the in-game reporting system. 98% of the time we’re invisible clearing bots and the like.
To remove someone using hacks (teleports, speed, etc) we have to witness the act in game so you must use the in-game reporting tool. The only exception is if you can point us to chat where the player cheating has said they are using a 3rd party program.
Hope this helps, I’ll check in later for questions.
Later he added…
I can’t speak to tools. I can tell you that using the ‘botter’ option is indeed sufficient.
As for the exploits are ANet address, this isn’t a Customer Support address. Exploits is more of a ‘I found a way to cheat here’s how to do it’ thing and Quality Assurance reviews those.
GMs don’t belong to a server so wondering if you’re server has a GM is futile. We’re everywhere.
To further clarify – exploits@arena.net is not used for reviewing reports of cheaters. This is for notifying us of found exploits so that QA can work on reporting fixes.
In-game for botting is always the right way to go. This is (generic, I understand) a report that a GM sees and responds to by going into the game. I am looking at new ways to let players report but I’m going to need a few days to poke holes in my methods.
EDITED for clarity.

Anet, that TSR-80 server, IP 64.25.38.162, needs to be taken out behind the shed and dealt with… if you know what I’m sayin’. I seriously think the time has come for its retirement. And then please assign a more robust server to handle the WvW maps.
If retirement is not possible because you’re short on servers or something, can we perhaps have IP 64.25.38.162 assigned to a map that has absolutely nothing to do with competitive game play? Perhaps assign 64.25.38.162 (and 64.25.38.161... if it’s still breathing) to a city map or something if it/they must be used somewhere, but please keep them away from competitive game play maps.
Thank you!
It’s comical that people take “working on stuff” to be anything more than batches of LS updates.
Just look at Gailes posts in the communication thread. Basically she implies thar LS IS the meaningful content that they are and will be delivering. Further, when anything like traits, more skills, more weapons, more races was brought up she re-listed “but don’t you think that LS counts?”.
No, it takes far more than 20 people to deliver LS. Maybe just writers and planners for one chapter that is about to go live.
Petespri, I couldn’t agree with you more. I noticed the same kind of tone in Gaile’s responses too. Yes, the “stuff” is more LS content, I believe. (They probably have the LS season 3 stuff pretty well sewn up right now! haha)
When it comes down to it, LS is mostly what GW2 is about when you’re talking about moving forward with content. I think they do a decent job at it – LS, but for many of us, I think we want the kind of MMO updates that typical big time MMOs put out, like many of you fine folks have pointed out. If LS is your thing, then you might be happy with the regular LS updates that pop up every 2-4 weeks (or whatever).
Personally, I love the WvW aspect of GW2. It’s my “end game.” GW2 seems to have the best version of this game mode… still. (So I’m here until some other game trumps them in this area.) The dev time that we’ve gotten in the past 2 years for WvW has been ok/decent imho. Stuff like – the WxP system, WvW seasons, traps and tricks stuff, revamp of water area of the BLs, BL bloodlust, Obsidian Sanctum, EoTM, world match making modifications, etc., have been changes that at least showed an effort from Anet. But I fear they’ve run out of dev resources for such things now. And it now looks like they’re putting most of their eggs into the LS basket for the most part. (And too bad EotM wasn’t living like LS. It CAN/could have been adapted to make it more WvW focused and meaningful.)
Will we see a real expansion full of new/non-LS things in 2015? Like many have said – I hope so, but I doubt it. But I think it’s good to keep talking about the “stuff” that we want here in these forums just in case Anet shifts gears on where GW2 is heading. (You never know… companies reevaluate “direction” constantly with their products, so anything is possible!)
Only love we get is the tough kind.
OMG…hahahaha! Ain’t that the truth! xD
This post appears to be blasphemy! There are no “fights” in EotM!!! And I’m pretty sure you cannot even target other people in there… let alone kill them! :P
But if it’s true, perhaps EotM can be salvaged after all! One can only dream…
…. one way of attracting new players to WvW or “rallying the troops” was by calling out to players in Lion’s Arch.
To the OP, dude, you are so right! I have done that! Sure, I would have to dodge-roll the rotten vegetables and fruit that some strictly PvE’ers would throw at me, but in the end… some people did come and help the team! It was successful when I was on GoM and on SBI. By the way, much respect for KWBH! I salute you guys!
And if Anet doesn’t like the LA separation from the megaserver idea, then, as some have said above… a server chat channel would do the job too!
+10!!!
Update on the SOSBL…
The server IP address for our SOSBL is now 64.25.38.113. I’ve been battling there for the last 2 hours and it’s been lag/latency free since it was moved off the bad IP ending in 161. I spoke with a YB player on our SOSBL and he said they’re lag free too. Thank you, Anet. (I assume you actively changed the SOSBL server IP address.)
Now, EBG for Tier 2 NA (SOS, YB and DB) is still assigned to the other bad IP – 64.25.38.162, which is still full of lag. May we please have it changed to another IP address as well?
I cannot put into words how much FUN it is to play w/o the crazy lag and know that when u kill someone it’s not due to them lagging out or vise-versa.
Thank you and please help us with EBG.
Does no one at anet work on the weekend? Why can’t you guys look at this or atleast acknowledge the kittening problem… Some people have dc’s in pve after a patch and it get’s fixed right away but stupid WvW has issues has issues 2-3 weeks in a row with certain server ips and you can’t bother to respond….
Oh, Luvpie, yes they do – Anet works on the weekend. It’s just things like WvW’s problems such as extremely lag/latency, constant disconnects, and WvW being down right unplayable for a couple of weeks on certain BL’s and EBG’s do not warrant the same respect or even a response from Anet… unlike things like wine, ale or steak collections having issues:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Broken-Collections
Anet, I think a rethinking of priorities is in order here. Not that wine, ale and steak collections don’t deserve some feedback, but kitten, I’d say WvW connectivity/game unplayable issues deserve some feedback too during the weekend.
What say you, Anet?
Where’s our QA for these debilitating WvW issues?
We feel like Rodney Dangerfield over here! And that’s no joke! :/
One thing I’d like to add is about music. GW2 has very good tunes by Jeremy Soule
and the new stuff from Dry Top and Silver Wastes is quite good too but XIV just blows GW2 out of the water in terms of sound design. In cities you can hear progressively louder crowd chatter if you are around many other players. When moving you can hear cloth leather or metal rustling depending on what you are wearing and the boss music, oh the boss music!
Listen to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZZDnlAg3Pk
then tell me it’s not one of the most epic boss themes in any MMO ever.
Same goes for Garduda, Ramuh, Shiva, Leviathan and many others. Boss themes there have real character and are epic; the make you feel like a hero while in GW2 music is just so incredibly generic.I really hope this is something where ANet plans to step up their game.
I’ll agree, the score by Jeremy Soule is awesome. But here’s what we’ve gotten lately as far as in-game sound enhancements from Anet:
“Boing.”
“Faster. Faster!”
“Turbo—mode—engaged!”
I don’t think they’re stepping up their game at all in this area.
They seriously need to retire the two TSR-80 servers – XX.XX.XX.161 and XX.XX.XX.162.
Coopziana, Thank you very much for your post! It is much appreciated!
+10
EBG and SoSBL in unplayable in T2 NA matchup. Skills doesn’t work properly in a fight, there’s always like 4-5 second delay and it always ends up being d/ced.
C’mon Anet!
^This
Just horrible :/
Hell yes!!! I can finally play as Commando Class!
(Still wish I could mix helm skins with outfits ;-; I wanted the new mask)
I must say, your toon does look good wearing this! Very cool looking!
Who on SBI kittened off the devs?
Seriously though, the match-making system in the middle tiers is not okay… Can we fix this? Kthnxbye
Oops, my bad!
Yeah, I guess SBI and DB are joined at the hip or something. /shrugs
Usually, I experience the occasional lag spikes here and there. But for the last few hours, I’m getting constant bad latency with GW2. (Other games are OK though. )
Hmmm… this bug thread that I posted will be hitting its one year anniversary in about a week. However, so far I’ve seen no changes regarding this bug. Maybe since there are more people playing ranger now, we’ll see some positive traction soon.
If you seem to run into this problem often, you can try to avoid it by not interrupting Swoop until the animation is completely done (let the skill finish before doing another skill). If someone interrupts your swooping, which may not be possible anymore, but if it does happen… get your warthog pet out, have him drop some gunk and throw it in the perp’s eye!
We’ll see what happens and try to stay optimistic. C’mon, Anet, show us some Swoop Love!
GO, GO POWAAAAR RANGERS!
(edited by Krypto.2069)
Again. This is frustrating. They don’t only took every thing, but WP EVERYTHING.
Hahahaha… IKR!
See my post in this below thread about an hour earlier. I feel your pain, brother!
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/How-many-are-fed-up-with-WvW
The “Target Nearest Enemy” function is not a “Target the enemy that’s in front of me” button.
Ok, fine.
Anet, please give us a “Targe Nearest Enemy” function that targets just about anything regardless of where it is just as long as it’s the ‘nearest’ thing to us (essentially what we have now).
And also please give us a “Target the Enemy that’s In Front of Me” function (essentially what we had pre-Sept patch), so when that enemy warrior is coming directly for me during a WvW zerg battle, I can EASILY hit my key bound “Target the Enemy that’s In Front of Me” button and knock him on his behind.
Anet, is that too much to ask? (You already have the code for both functions, just expose them to us in the interface so we can key bind both of them.)
It’s all about having “choices.”
Thank you!
(edited by Krypto.2069)
Not that our 7,11,13 NA match up wasn’t a foregone conclusion on Friday a few hours after reset, but hell, I just logged in at 11:00 AM EST to try to have a little fun this morning in WvW, and this is what I found… (see pic)
Not only has the dominating server taken everything in EB… they’ve WAY POINTED EVERYTHING!!!
I love the WvW game mode, but man… I doubt this is any kind of real fun for anybody.
I fear that WvW is on life support and will depart if something significant isn’t changed soon.
Oh, and Anet, just in case you were unaware, removing white swords is NOT the kind of change that’s going to help this situation.
(edited by Krypto.2069)
Yeah, but here’s the thing… the owner would still hear it. And he’s the one who bought it. If the rest of us really want to hear it then we can buy one ourselves. Some people though don’t WANT to hear it.
And I WANT others to hear it. Its part of the fun of this item.
As previously stated…
" Not everyone that buys this thing is a griefer, but just by reading some of the above comments, this can be (and is) used as a griefing tool."
You cant grief with this. Its limited to one line per 30 seconds and selected by the game. Its not any more annoying than hearing “For greater justice!”. So I am highly amused by people complaining about it. Makes the 500 gems well spent.
You can grief with it because the player’s actions cause it to say certain things. Taken from the wiki:
If you cast swiftness, it says one of the following:
“Faster. Faster!”
“Turbo—mode—engaged!”
“You—can’t—catch—us!”
Bottom line, I don’t want to hear that kitten. But I don’t mind hearing other NPC conversation dialog. I want a volume slider to turn this back pack, like player instrument volume, off.
But hey, if we’re going to grief, kitten-it, let’s do it right – Open World PVP!
You know, I’m starting to think that Open World PVP wouldn’t be such a bad idea.
(edited by Krypto.2069)
I’d like to call it the “Grief-o-Tron.”
Selling pitch: " Hey… Do you like griefing? Well, son, you’ve come to the right place!!! You too can be the kitten-hole of your group! That’s right! Buy one of these and immediately start Griefing your own community TODAY!"
And for those of you who think this thread and others like it are not warranted… there is a reason why Anet created the “player instrument slider” – to keep people from hearing unwanted “noise” if the player hearing the noise didn’t want to. Not everyone that buys this thing is a griefer, but just by reading some of the above comments, this can be (and is) used as a griefing tool.
Anet, can we please have a sound slider to deal with this? (Preferably, exclusively, but I’d go for throwing it into the player instrument slider as opposed to the dialog volume slider which it is a part of today.)
I don’t think that’s too much to ask.
