It was working fine on at least one overflow. People jump the gun on “Broken”.

It takes time for him to reset. Then you have to talk to him. Get him angry. Kill him. Talk to him again. And then get the mail.

Many many many people don’t do all the steps. Or they can’t wait the time it takes for him to reset (It’s not short.)

For the Myani scavenger hunt, she used to spam you every time you zoned with mail with a "Show me " button that showed you on your map the location of all 3 parts of that scavenger hunt.

You get a mail that tells you to go see Canach. Miyani directly SHOWS you where to go for that scavenger hunt…

You have 2 of one scavenger, and 1 of the 2nd scavender.

You need Canach for the ellen scavenger, and the Largo’s Shell, and……the hylek’s potion? for the levvi scavenger.

Most pugs have gotten used to “Everyone dead simply waypoints” and doesn’t rez. This is a new thing. Stack that on top of the lots of generally bad players already and you have a recipe for mouthbreathing.

So time to train everyone. “Don’t stand in the fire. Rez the downed asap…” etc, etc.

I finished the scavenger hunt for Ellen Kiel.

I got my jug of karma.

However I still have the Mysterious Soggy Bag, Map fragment, and Map of Southsun Cove.

Unlike the Levvi scavenger hunt where she took the items.

Is that supposed to be that way? Hard to tell with all the bugs all over.

Bugged on Dragonbrand.

I while back I had to have my game email changed. I had to contact support and it took three days for them to update my email.

I have been telling people in this section of the forum the correct procedures when they ask about it since the support knowledge base has 100% incorrect information based on how it used to work before they removed the ability to change the email yourself.

Today one of those threads where another player asked how to change their email was locked by a moderator. This moderator sent me a PM about locking the thread telling me what I need to do in order to get my email changed. Which is great except that I already knew that answer and they should have PM’d the original poster. Not me.

After that however I looked up at the top of the forum where it shows my account name and right under that is my email…

Maybe I am just now noticing it since the PM I received was from a moderator who didn’t even bother to actually read the thread they moderated but the email is the one attached to my account before I spent 3 days getting it changed.

Now I have to question.

How do I change my FORUM email connection. I log into the forum and game with email #2 (The one that my account was correctly changed TO.) but under my name it shows email #1 (The one that I no longer have access to and the reason for the change in the first place.)

In order to have the email changed they have to submit a support ticket and give details about the account. Serial number among them.

Sounds like you were either REALLY compromised badly or you bought your account from someone and they reclaimed it. Or you bought your account from a disreputable source…

Support ticket time for you.

24 hours to 3 days for response. If you don’t get a response in 3 days, there’s a sticky for you to post in about it for escalation.

Submit support ticket. That’s how you do it. You will need all the information to prove ownership.

When I did it, took 3 days.

The infractions often make no sense. Perhaps simply stop posting. When I get enough to be suspended I will just stop posting here.

FYI, this will be infracted for discussing moderation.

Zoning and PATCHES cause it to reset at 403,458/500,000…..

When I had to have my email changed, I had to submit a support ticket. Had to verify ownership, and support did it. Took about 3 days.

Knowledge base doesn’t reflect the fact that they took the email change out of Account management….

This needs to be addressed.

Alt + F4 should keep you logged in, and sitting in place. Costing the player both the repair, and giving the rewards that they should have given in the first place.

Someone with a bad connection or just bad luck? Yeah, it’s bad luck, but the abuse is just too much.

Yeah. You get karma rewards for taking lonely veteran guard posts.

You get rewards for taking the camps.

But something as important as protecting the actual supply you get nothing? That’s no good.

Making it less value than the other events? I don’t have too much of an issue with. As long as those who do it get SOMETHING. It gives the solo/duo’s something that they can do that both helps the server and rewards them for their contributions…

The fight between DB/The giant grub thing/NSF’s Keep was….interesting.

Between the grub damaging us, and NSF defending their keep and coming out to try to stop us from killing the grub. It was quite an interesting fight.

The time it took to take out that grub though? Wow….I did not feel the 4 badges the chest gave me. Not in the slightest. Heh.

Anyone who threatens legal over it will lose. Handily. Anyone who is currently studying law will tell you that. (If they are passing. Or even paying slight attention.)

I like Dulfy’s guides and such. But making this post here really doesn’t serve any purpose. Dulfy has to go through support just like everyone else.

You never stop getting skill points. Eventually you will get enough skill points to buy every skill, and then have hundreds left over to purchase items used in the mystic forge.

They don’t do refunds for player mistakes. Let alone game errors.

So just go out farmin’!

I wish they would just make lemons sellable for a day.

There’s no alliance. In fact DB focuses mostly on SF.

We don’t forget about you though, and we do attack and take locations that we think we can add to our empire.

If you are less players as you mention, that’s why you see us taking your locations. They are less defended and more easily taken to add to our score/supply/strategic locations.

You would have had to have an account in good standing by Nov 6th to get invites.

Why am I here? Because I want to stop people from spreading rumors as to what is causing the bans for botting.

Some examples:

Farming causes you to be banned!
Using a high end keyboard and you are banned!
Standing anywhere near a botter gets you banned!
I was doing a dungeon and was BANNED!

Every last bit of that is ludicrous and simply panic driven rumors.

There are people that are farming and not banned.
There are people using high end keyboards and not banned.
There are people who stand near bots that are not banned.
There are people in dungeons who are not banned.

No one dismissed your issue. In fact, since you have a support ticket, you are the very definition of not dismissed.

Then its a combination of things/criteria. You dont have answers you dont what the criteria are sir. How can you say it is or isn’t?

What do we know? We KNOW people are being banned in these areas doing similar things. I can’t speak for anyone but myself but I don’t use a macro keyboard, third party program.. nothing. never have…and I am not alone.. this thread and the main thread is FULL of people of people being banned and being unbanned for the same thing. Some unbanned in 12 hours..some still waiting after a week.

Also do we really think it is coincidental that so many ppl that play long and or do these events possibly going afk in between are being banned? All of a sudden? or farming Plinx or doing whatever they feel like?

Logic says im right or close based upon the sheer amount of us. There is a program and it is flagging us

If your criteria was accurate, I would be right here with you posting about my issue as well.

The thousands upon thousands of others who are doing exactly the same thing as you describe would absolutely drown out your issue if they were to post “I was not banned”. Except they are too busy farming the DE’s that you suggest are the cause of your ban.

The anti botting program is running amok and all by itself terminating good peoples accounts constantly. We need to be heard. Theres ALOT of us getting lost. This has been happening I bet since the bot war ANET waged on the gold farmers.

The people in the merged thread have alot of differant issues. This one is a stand alone and very prominent one

The problem with information such as “I was camping a dynamic event” is that it is meaningless. You are not banned the moment you “Bot”. You are banned for something weeks or months previous to the actual ban.

So you are part of the “in error”. Your being banned while you were camping a dynamic event was simply coincidence. You could have just as easily simply been looking at your bank vault or dying your armor and been banned at that time. That wouldn’t mean that people would be banned for dying armor…

The method required for me when I moved and had to switch providers was to open a support ticket.

They then required the information to verify ownership and then they did it for me.

Their support knowledgebase still has the old instructions. Which doesn’t work of course since they removed it.

It’s as simple as that. Open a support ticket. (It took about 3 days for them to get around to it…)

Or maybe not. What happened to the Dragonbrand night crew? SF stomping with outmanned.

although it does suck, getting un-rightfully banned for no reason a few days right before the lost shores update, ^^ so much for looking forward to it

Seeming and actuality are two different things entirely.

In the few instances I have had to utilize support. It has never been anything but the 9-5 style hours for actual responses.

Terribly bad idea.

Tiny group could capture a keep. Just make sure it’s not guarded (Like deep in enemy territory.) Throw up the ladders, rush the lord. Cap the keep without the need of time to break down the door.

Just not a good idea. The whole point of the doors/walls is to allow people to mount a defense. Ladders would simply bypass that entirely.

Just look at people complaining about hidden mesmers causing flips to occur without the possibility of defense.

Nope. Nothing new here. These aren’t the droids you are looking for.
