Actually. I am a PvE player. I’ve said that many times. When I go to WvWvW I am wearing my Magic Find gear. I’m just too lazy to get a new set.

I go to WvWvW maybe once or twice a week. Just for a change of pace.

So you can take your generalizations elsewhere as they don’t apply to me. The difference between you and I is that I am objective. I play both sides. I am a PvE player who partakes in PvP every now and again.

PvP zones are what they are. They are NOT PvE playgrounds. They have vastly different rules and no safety net.

Pennry you seem to be under the illusion that I go there. I don’t go there nor will I ever. BUT Jumping puzzles are by the very nature of them ARE players VS the enviorment the devs built. To say otherwise is lieing. Spvp is pvp and ONLY pvp. The enviorment is just there to make it more “fun”. wvw is both pvp AND pve. Hence why there also events in wvw and you can use you pve toon and gear there. Which you can’t do in spvp.

There is no PvE in the PvP zones. By definition a PvP zone is designated as PvP. Of course you can do non-PvP things there. They didn’t take away emotes so you can dance at the waypoint all you like but it’s still PvP.

This place has NO effect on the battle WHAT SO EVER. So there is NO need to capture it AT ALL. The only reason people would do this IS to grief people. This is what happends when you have open pvp. This is why so very few people like it. Most pvprs are incapable of beating anyone in a fair fight so HAVE to take advantage of anything they can. So they can actually get kills for thier achivements.

And this is where you are DEAD wrong. The rewards from the puzzle are badges of honor http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Badge_of_Honor tells you that you can use them for Armor/Weapons and siege blueprints.

As well a blueprints which are used to build the siege.

All of which makes a HUGE impact on the game. Without siege blueprints it takes eons to break down a gate.

So the reason that they do this isn’t to grief you and your PvE sensibilities. It is in fact to prevent the enemy from obtaining things that make them stronger.

You don’t need to complete the jump puzzle for 100% map completion. I don’t know why people keep bringing that up in a post about “Griefing the jump puzzle.”

Umm…..they never “removed” Jade Quarry/Fort Aspenwood in GW1, in fact that added new forms of PvP in GW1. Anet likes PvP content.

WvWvW will never be removed. As a PvE player myself. I wouldn’t want them to.

Personally I believe they should probably change things a bit in there in regards to siege, but definitely not remove WvWvW. Improve it and don’t destroy it.

The wvwvw parts are the ones that suck for 100%.

With many of the matchups being severe blowout matchups, that’s what’s stopping me from completing.

I only have Stonemist castle, and the locations in the SW corner of eternal battlegrounds left to complete 100%.

Of course, Dragonbrand hasn’t had a matchup that hasn’t been totally 1 sided against us in over a month now.

GW1 didn’t have a free trial till…..5 years after release?

It’s not impossible at all. Many of the achievements Give points eternally. Such as salvaging (Agent of Entropy). You get 2 points every time you hit that, and there’s more where that came from.

Tirzah want’s a cheezeburger.

You could level up and wait till next year to get the higher level book.

Or find a group of people willing to escort and rez you the whole way through.

I don’t want to see PC → Console ports till they fight as hard as us PC gamers had to fight to get Dark Souls ported to PC…

I was just in an overflow and everyone left. It was late enough that no one ever filled it enough to join me.

If you have 4/5 then you aren’t bugged. You don’t need the fix.

The party has not occurred yet.

The Lunatic Court game is different.

I finally finished the tower tonight. 4:58 A.M. in fact.

I really really don’t do well with “THE FLOOR WILL EAT YOU! JUMP TO THIS TINY SPOT!” but eventually I was able to do it. 12 hours and a billion tries later. (Over a few days…)

I’m glad to have finished. I will never go back. Good riddance.

However, I wouldn’t change a thing about it (Except the crowd of people. It’s difficult enough already without all the distractions as well.)

It took me about a billion attempts. At least 12 hours over a few days. And most importantly being on an overflow server that eventually left me as the only one trying.

Took me 3 hours when there were NO people before I finally got it down and done.

Would be nice to have a recipe for the mystic forge of “Tot bag”, “Rune of what size you want.”, Candy Corn, nougat because there should be a nougat in there somewhere.

If you spam the F key you will loot it without waiting for the timer bar….

You end up dropping on top of it later in the puzzle.

They won’t lose me over the clocktower. I am however disappointed that I simply can’t do it. I’m just too slow. Reaction time is not enough. Not even close. I have made it to the first “Gear”, but only with the ooze right on top of me and never farther.

I spent 5 hours trying.

Maybe if there were nobody else trying at the same time as me I would have a chance, but I’m just too slow. So that achievement will sit there forever taunting me and preventing a 100% =(

Umm…

Killing random creatures with peach tarts (+30% gold from enemies), I get more than the 3 silver it takes me to port to the farthest places in just a few enemies for the most part.

Highest Tier is any Rogue with Signet of Shadows and boxing gloves.

Movement speed means no one can escape. Block ability is near invulnerability. Works also with Mad King and Witch(The one with near permanent fear)

Signets should not work when in costume =(

Only Perception.

Options > Control options.

“Nearest Enemy” – Bind this.
“Next Enemy” – Bind this.
“Previous Enemy” – Bind this.

Will help you out quite a bit more.

I have to take exception to this. I soloed Kol in Harathi Hinterlands. He’s abysmally easy to solo as long as you have even a slight tiny amount of knowledge. The only thing you need to know is “Dodge Roll”.

Run to his feet. Attack his feet till he lifts his leg. Dodge roll back when he stomps. Run back to his feet and continue hacking away.

He has a ton of health (Being as he’s a champion) so it will take quite some time but he is FAR from unsoloable.

I dislike the concept of free trials in MMO’s.

Mostly because it becomes a vehicle for the RMT/Botters to bypass the issue of account bans without having to shell out money for new accounts.

Neutered accounts for trials also have people saying “How can I possibly get a feel of the game if I cannot talk in chat channels or buy/sell on the trading post, or send mails” and so on.

In this day and age where you can watch live streams of the game for hours on end, read a billion reviews, read a facebook page (Ugh.), watch a twitter feed (Ugh.), or discuss everything to DEATH on forums and talk to friends who play to get almost 100% accurate opinion on whether you will like the game or not…

I feel that trials are obsolete for the most part.

This isn’t a fail on the OP’s part. This is actually a known bug. Preview on certain cultural items actually purchases the item instead of previewing them.

It’s stupid, it’s broken, it’s been quite some time and still not fixed and the inability for them to reimburse for the games issues is frustrating to those who are affected.

Sorry that happened to ya OP. You will not get your money back so look into the option others mentioned about transmutation.

We only have 10 mails that we can keep from players before our inboxes are full. I would be irritated at a guild that wanted to spam me in addition to the gold sellers…

If you look at the sticky above about issues getting into dungeon instances you will notice a common theme with the Arah dungeon….

Mostly that it doesn’t appear to work on most servers =(

I have about 215 chests sitting in my vault. I’ve looted ~5 keys over the life of my character. Even in Orr.

One just the other day.

The easiest way to get keys as far as I know without buying them on the gem store is to make and play a character to the level 10 storyline, rinse and repeat.

I get frustrated with changes that do things like moving skills on my bar but I get over it. Changes in skills? Well, the change to symbol recently (Guardian if not obvious yet) had me move around traits because the value of many of the traits I had chosen lost a LOT of value.)

I’m good again though.

So, minor changes and a couple major ones in my playstyle but I didn’t rage too much (Except for the moved skills….that was aggravating. I jumped off many a cliff for the last few days till I started getting the skill order memorized again.)

Ego.

I’ll share my experience last night.

I was in Straights of Devastation. Just finishing out the map. Up in the upper left there is a skill point, and there was an Avatar of Lyssa there.

I tried to solo it a couple times and died. On my third try there was a mesmer that also needed the skill point. After we cleared a path to the skill point the mesmer asked if I we would like to do the event and take out the Avatar.

We accomplished that task. I then needed to head south and mentioned that to the mesmer. Together we traveled south to the area with the NPC’s and 2 tanks. At that point we parted ways.

Thank you for the company Ms Mesmer. It was enjoyable.

After that I ended up with a ranger near the Temple event. We fought our way to a few skill points and POI and worked to try to get the pact into the temple thing. We ended up failing, but we had a good time.

Thank you Mr. Ranger for your company. It was enjoyable.

Then I headed off to do more of my personal story after I snagged a POI that I missed.

Didn’t need to be grouped at all, and communication was at a minimum as we simply did what we needed to do. Killed things and kept each other alive. When our paths diverged, that was it.

Till we meet again…

So it may not be social/anti-social. Some people simply aren’t talkers. Others are talking already for example with an entire guild on Ventrilo/Teamspeak/Whatever. Perhaps they are chatting to guild members in their guild.

I prefer being “solo” in so much as I have a goal in my head and it’s easier to simply do that goal instead of having to worry about also helping some random person you have grouped up with. You can accomplish that goal and if there is another person or persons around that are also trying to accomplish the goal then great! Work together and keep going till we part ways.

Falcon NW is by far the “Best”…..but if you thought buying a mac was expensive…

It’s painfully obvious when you are using melee. About the only way to fix it other than getting lucky and finding that ONE SPOT where you can hit the object is to move around. For some silly reason that seems to allow you to hit somewhat. (Still some misses, but you hit much more often.)

It’s highly annoying.

I am having this issue.

I just moved and have a new ISP. I currently have access to my previous email, but that will be short lived (Actually surprised I have that access right now.)

The knowledgebase states that I can change email under “Account Name Field” but the only option is to change the password.
