The strength of the overgrowth keep lord is definitely more than that of Frostreach or Badlands.
I’d like to see the latter two increased in difficulty to match just for balance sake.
They have not had a Ranger overhaul yet. They have had a few tweaks that make them better than they were, but they are still absolutely the bottom of the barrel.
There is a reason they got the most votes in the CDI that polled who needed the most help. Rangers were on top hands down.
Strange enough, Red is always seeking out engagements. Even against the stacked servers. I have enjoyed wiping out OG and FR many times. Especially surprising them while they lemming into a keep. It’s glorious to see all the bags.
The way the servers are grouped IS completely stupid though.
They should match a Green, Blue, and Red server together on BL, another Green, blue, red on FR, and another Green, Blue, Red on OG. That way coverage wars is negated a bit.
But being outnumbered does not mean you are unable to engage. You just need to do it smart.
The healing aspect works fine. You can’t become a “Healer” but you can most certainly do healing.
Guardian dodge rolls, water field blasting, elementalists dodging, Regen…
Plenty of sources.
Wvwvw relies on such healing. Blast the water fields!!!
Right. You retained 100% map completion. You did NOT have the waypoints.
No you didn’t. They did not retroactively add them. You didn’t lose 100% complete, but you didn’t have those waypoints.
This makes no sense.
How do those other characters know information just because someone else learned of it?
It took them a month to reinstate Scarlet chests. Don’t hold your breath for this update.
Guild Wars: Ascended
Bind mouseclick to your scroll wheel.
Dragonite, Empyreal. Very easy to get in edge/wvwvw. Especially Edge. You get a chest every time you take an objective which drowns you in empyreal. You get dragonite when you take keeps (Towers too?)
Bloodstone dust rains from the sky as every champion bag pretty much drops it on your head and you kill a bunch of champions.
I wish it was just as common in PvE as it was in edge/wvwvw. But I suppose if that was the case I’d have far more than I already have.
There’s already far too much account bound garbage going on as it stands.
There are pros and cons to the megaserver.
The game is fully populated now. New players are always able to find other people even in places that never used to have ANYONE in them.
The grove for example is teeming with players now. It was an absolute ghost town before that.
Orr is populated with players as well.
Unfortunately, people feel more free to be jerks because they have no loyalty and will probably hardly meet the random people they find in the game. So the jerks are jerkier than normal.
Additionally, the RP crowd of TC is mixed in with people who ridicule and berate their gameplay choices. Alternative view is that they creep out other players more often now.
There’s good points and there’s bad points. I think the benefit of having a populated world outweighs many of the negatives. New players get a good feeling about the game now.
I think the options were this or server merging. Think about which of those you would rather have?
15g? Where can I turn in skill points for 15g? I have 1500 that I will trade for that much cash.
23 gold seems like a good profit for 30 coins. Sounds like more value than 1s each.
Am I still missing something?
What about making something like Firebringer and selling that? Even if I bought all the materials it looks like I would be making about 50g?
Is my math just really off or something?
I have a ton of these things, but can’t figure out what to make to get the most bang for my buck.
Anyone got opinions?
This might sound a little insensitive, but get over it. Did your parents not teach you about sticks and stones when you were a kid?
Here’s the solution: Every time someone says the word that really upsets you. Put them on block. Turn off map chat. Minimize your exposure to the world around you. You will NEVER be able to be completely free of it.
And to have specific windows remember location.
I want that merchant window in the same place ever time. Same with Hero and BLTC windows.

That has 1 rune, one of the livestreams showed a couple more. There isn’t a full list anywhere that I am aware of. Just snippits from different streams/releases.
In WvWvW (I don’t pvp so milage may vary) I generally avoid mesmers. They seem to be the hardest counter to at least my build. After that is the condi necros and engineers.
Pretty much everything else is fair game. Especially delicious delicious Rangers. Poor things.
Congratulations. Quite the Legendary Journey to get such a legendary weapon!
I might be mixing up my signets, but the one with knockdown is a decent option as a wvwvw roamer. Helps to stick to targets if you can knock them on their kitten at the right time.
Scepter can be quite useful in a zerk meditation build. Especially if combined with a focus for doing Focus 5/JI/Smite bombs in which you switch to something like GS for pull so they stay in smite.
Best? Not always, but it does have uses. As said, it’s the only real answer we have to wall defenders/siege.
We may be in a good place right now, but with each patch to other classes, we are losing our foothold on “In a good place” simply because we aren’t moving where others are.
% of toughness to power makes toughness armor better than it looks on the surface.
However can you really make calculations assuming 25 stacks of everything? Seems a bit….optimistic.

Make your report there. They are actively looking for information.
People have been playing for 1.5 years. 3 months is a drop in the bucket and not really a gate.
Additionally, there are people who already have 8000 skill points. Let alone those who have a billion scrolls from the champ trains.
On top of all that, the traits are meant to differentiate each player. Not make everyone the same (As it would be if you were to get all traits.)
Personally, I am ALWAYS wishing for those 10 more points for skills I want but can’t quite reach, but all of them? Nah.
Zerker is the meta in PvE.
Soldier’s is a solid choice (I mix in a couple pieces in my gear) for WvWvW where health totals make a big impact.
Every new character I make get an in-game mail with the Digital Deluxe edition items. (Bank Golem/Hero Band).
So I would suspect the Heroic stuff to work the same way.
Take a step back. Grow a spine.
I wasn’t insulting you saying you were an angry mob. I simply stated that we have only seen 3 rune sets, and they have specifically mentioned making new runes for stats that are not/under represented.
They also specifically mention the 2×3 that people use.
So no use getting into a frenzy over something we know little about and they seem to actually be aware of.
Heirloom and belonging vendor was removed. Scarlet’s lair is still available and you can use your keys there. No other use for left over cyphers. Blade shards are still used and for the back piece and still drop from aetherblades as well as from the sprocket generator.
A vendor is supposed to be coming that gives further use to blade shards but no more word on that yet.
Shhhhh! You will have people yelling that Anet should have posted this to the forums, linked in the launcher, posted to facebook and twitter while sending in game mail to each and every player about it!
They are reworking the entirety of the runesets. They are moving the higher bonuses to the top of the 6, they are increasing the value of some parts (Like on hit %’s), they are adding new runes to represent stats that are not represented.
They know that people are using 2×3 for boon duration.
Hold your pitchforks till we know more. We have only seen 3 runes that have been redone.
Needs a confirmation dialog.
1. Open Wrapper.
2. Eat Pop-Tart.
Because someone in the world ate the foil wrapper.
We do not need more pop-ups. We need people to suffer the consequences of inattention so that they learn not to be inattentive in the future.
Unfortunately language issues are going to happen.
This is a game created in the US. It’s official language is English. With game translations into other languages. It’s been like that for many other games. (Not all, but many.)
If you play a Korean MMO, you will have the same issue. Everything is in Korean and there is no translation available.
As much as it would be nice if the stuff was translated, it pretty much requires your player base to do such communication. The cost of translating absolutely everything would simply be too much.
That’s simply the cost of playing a foreign produced game.
They are redoing all the runes. Some are getting changed completely, others simply adjusting the bonuses to the top of the set bonus. Many of them are being improved.
In such a massive sweep of things, there is bound to be change. You may find that they will have a new rune that will do what you want even better after it is all said and done. They have only shown us the 3 runes. Wait till all the rest are visible.
You can most certainly re-rune transmuted items.
My guesses:
Removal of the loss of guild vaults when moving/guesting servers (a la China.)
Removal of soulbound/accountbound nonsense.
Removing character bound dye.
Removing the inability to sell/salvage/do anything with items such as fractal rings.
I’m sure I will think of more right after I post this, but good enough.
That’s simply the personal storyline. Something you do as you level up and explore the world.
As a sylvari if you want to be story driven, we as a race are innately drawn to exploration. We are curious about everything. It’s in our nature to explore all areas of the world.
So now you have a lore excuse besides the practical game excuse. If you are adamant on not leaving the starter areas then you had best get to grinding by killing enemies and doing the dynamic events because it’s a long haul.
You are meant to travel to all of the starting areas. There’s plenty of hearts to get well above the level of the personal storyline. But it does require travel.
Submit support ticket with all your proof. You will not get your money back, but you can have the hollow victory of giving the scammer a 72 hour suspension.
Yeah. The giant is soloable. In fact it’s a good place to practice dodging and mitigation. The only problem is that like most champions it has an overinflated health pool.
Casual and endgame are mutually exclusive concept.
For a casual player to obtain endgame content, it takes them a LOT longer. So keep saving your coppers. Maybe one day you will have enough to buy the skin you want.
Why do I dislike rangers.
Mostly because the players are taught bad habits as they level up. They are not challenged by any enemy in the world. They stand in a single spot and shoot a bow at something while the pet tanks. If the monster aggros on them they run like a chicken with their head cut off without regard to positioning because the game never teaches the necessity.
And Point Blank Shot makes me want to punch a baby.
Then when you go to WvWvW you notice how awful the class truly is. They have no damage output because much of it is tied in a pet that will never hit it’s target.
It’s not a coincidence that Ranger’s won the “What class needs the most work” CDI poll hands down. They are the bottom of the totem pole in their current state.
I played a Ranger in GW1. Good class. Quite capable. It most certainly isn’t the same in GW2.
They also said they are adding rune sets in compensation for stats that aren’t represented. So I’d wait on this particular issue.
The only one that sounds remotely interesting is Communal Defense.
It depends on how fast the Aegis effect is added to your allies. Does it reapply fast enough that Shelter would become essentially 3 seconds of immunity for your party if you are blocking something like a 100b or flamethrower?
Still, it competes with AH and MF…
Got a 20 seconds CD I believe they said.
Utter trash then.
