I mean that from your post I believe you are expecting more out of having 150% magic find than actual truth would get you.

You are not bugged. You just overestimate the value of magic find.

I can actually get behind this idea in PvP areas.

If you are downed, you can still be rezzed. Dead you lose vision (Any of the above suggestions to remove scouting). Stomped and you are forced back to respawn.

There is nothing automatic about their bot bans.

Dragonbrand used to be rank 7. We are now rank 16 after weeks of being obliterated after many wvwvw focused guilds left for the greener pastures.

Finally this week, we have had really impressive matchup. The day game is truly a blast with back and forth combat between Dragonbrand, Northern Shiverpeaks and Sorrow’s Furnace. The only inequality is that Dragonbrand has a stronger night time presence.

It’s almost perfect in where we are now. The matches are great fun. (Maybe I am a little biased since we are winning overall, but even when we have lost locations I had a great time…)

They have stated multiple multiple times that they will not refund purchases from player mistakes. Heck, they would not fix mistakes from their own server issues such as the BLTC breaking.

If they gave you back your 12 gold, there would be a wall of people asking for theirs back. That’s Pandora’s box at this point.

We will find out on the 15th.

It’s actually so much better not to release them till then. The forums would be full of whining about how they are all going to reroll to XYZ class because of a change.

Imagine if they had posted the Guardian GS changes before hand? Imagine the level of whining that would have happened without seeing it in game. Just look at what we had after the patch let alone weeks before hand.

That’s not even to mention the pure chaos that certain things would cause to the economy.

Nope. GW2 does it right. The game that shall not be named should follow suit, but they are too entrenched in their version.

Just because a player spent in game gold to get an icon does not mean that they are more important and worthy of playing the game than joe schmoe who just wants to play.

If this was true, I would have been banned.

I have reported a billion bots. Some of which I reported daily for about 3 weeks. (I’m looking at you Frostgorge grawl bots. Yeah, they finally got you!

And yeah. “I was just in a dungeon when I was banned for botting!” is not how it works. Not in the slightest.

Someone who is reported as a bot is not banned on the spot. They are banned (Such as in the case of the Frostgorge grawl bots) 3 weeks after the fact.

So if you were banned (Innocent or not) it wasn’t for what you were currently doing at the time it happened. (Necessarily.)

What the person is doing by refusing to demote himself says a HUGE amount of their character.

You would do well to understand what is happening here. If you ever get him to demote. The next step is to remove him from the guild.

There is no excuse he can give at this point that is sufficient to defend his lack of action.

If he doesn’t, then it appears that you have little choice it seems.

Yeah, this weeks matchup is rather good.

Daytime is rather even matchup. 1st place income switching rather frequently. I just wish Sorrows/NSP had a stronger night presence to make it more even at night as well.

That’s the only reason we have as large a lead in points as we do. Night time dominance.

Having siege blueprints is good because they are leading a zerg. Many of which will be new and not have any blueprints. Reminding people to grab supply when they take a camp and so on so that they can effectively siege a location is good.

Trying to get a small group to run supply while a siege is happening so that more siege gets built before the enemy can respond is good. A ballista that is half built is no defense.

I had a blast! Was a pretty even matchup. Then everyone seemed to go to sleep and Dragonbrand woke up…

This was my first time being present at the beginning of a matchup. Surprised we didn’t have a post yet from any server.

I had a blast. It was very back and forth till the night crew happened. Dragonbrand seems to have picked up significantly in that regard. It became a bloodbath at night.

Going from quite even to Dragonbrand holding almost everything.

Hopefully it gets back to a more even matchup tomorrow. That was too much fun.

Score currently as it is before I go to sleep.

I wish they would deny those who purchased their games at shady as heck websites in order to save a few bucks.

This should have been a $35 life lesson…

I can definitely get behind this initiative to a point.

There are so many things that the tooltips lack. Most notably are changes due to traits.

That being said. I do not agree with the final statement. They can add content all they like. Just make sure that things like this are improved as well. They have more than one dev. Content can be created parallel with fixes such as this.

No one defends poor behavior here.

Every last person so far has stated that what the guild allegedly did was over the top and reporting the actions was correct.

What I have a personal objection to is making a mountain out of a molehill. The initial action. Two people dropped some mobs on him.

He decided to take it upon himself to talk to the guild leader instead of just moving on with life. Additionally whatever happened between him and the guild leader was ludicrous enough to cause the entire guild to rally and harass him.

Who does that? It’s hard enough to get 5 people to agree on a dungeon path let along agree to “Kill” another player. Something which is a minor inconvenience at best.

Having mobs dropped on you is a pathetic excuse for even confronting someone. It’s petty beyond belief. You can just move 20 feet away and reset all the enemies. It’s a minor inconvenience at best. Something that you will have to learn in Orr as the sea of enemies makes this a constant occurrence.

Nothing in guild wars is awarded to players that are “Good”. Every last bit of the items are awarded for perseverance. Everything.

That’s one of the good things about Guild Wars.

Content isn’t really locked because you don’t have the “Sword of Doom”. You can use the “Sword of minor inconvenience” and you are just as good as the person with the later. It’s the exact same sword. They just look different.

Could things be better? No one denies that. However people who state that “Legendaries are too much of a grind” are simply looking for a reason. It’s not a real reason.

Do them both. The wonders of GW2!!!

That is the rules of conduct for Guild wars 2.

The closest you get is “harassment”. And the only proof of INTENTIONAL training is that you say so. The subsequent stuff from the guild as has been said by everyone was unwarranted and should have been reported.

All we have to go on is your word that 2 people trained you on purpose. Personally, I don’t see it. Everything you have posted gives me the impression that there is far more to the story than you have posted. Especially what you had to have done to get an entire guild to come after you like you insinuate.

In the end this is all that matters: If you feel like you are being harassed. Report the player. Taking things in your own hands is just a bad idea. Especially if you have the uncanny ability to aggravate an entire guild to come after you because you suggest that two members might have dragged some mobs to them.

Nov 1st is the day that the servers stayed “Full”. Instead of changing at odd hours.

The reason is that people are staying put instead of jumping to the winning WvWvW server for a day and back.

Now they are afraid that they will never get back “home” so they don’t move.

That’s my take on that. I highly doubt they have lowered server caps.

That’s the ultimate goal. Not the “I need to do this in a week” goal.

Anyone who uses that as an excuse isn’t playing guild wars. They are playing E-kitten wars and losing.

In Guild Wars 2. If I see someone wielding even a Foefire Essence I am impressed. Sunrise/Twilight? I’d be envious. Eternity? I’d follow them like a puppy.

Why? Because it’s rather special. Even months from now I don’t believe there will be more than a handful of them per server.

That’s rather impressive and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I still want mine, but I will earn it in time. Till then, I am just as effective in the game as anyone who would indeed weild Eternity…

Legendaries are not required. Not in the slightest.

Anyone who uses that as an excuse not to play doesn’t comprehend Guild Wars.

They are indeed flashy, but they are most certainly not required. I have been using a Seraph Greatsword for the last month or so. I don’t function any less than a player with Eternity would function.

There is indeed grind available in the game. Guess what, they have grind in WoW, Rift, and any and all other MMO’s. The difference is that the grind in GW is OPTIONAL by far. You can play all content without having to first grind out dungeons. You don’t even need to set foot into a dungeon to reach “Max”. Can’t really say that about the other games. You are sub-optimal if you don’t have the uber sword from dungeon XYZ.

I for example am maxed out. My armor is as good as it is going to get. My weapon is as good as it is going to get. My skills and traits are where I want them. I can play in any location I desire. I can WvWvW as much as I want. The only place to go from there is to add flash.

I am not excluded because I don’t have Sunrise. I have a sword that is IDENTICAL other than the flashy looks.

Grind is only where you seek it.

Report inappropriate behavior. However from everything you stated here, contacting the guild leader to complain was in fact quite petty.

So some random people dragged enemies on top of you. Suck it up buttercup. Flee for 20 feet and come back.

You stated however that you went fully out of your way to contact the guild leader and whatever happened between you and that guild leader caused the entire guild to drop whatever it is they were all doing to UNIFY and harass you.

So it makes me wonder what the kitten you did to piss off an entire guild to the point that they would drop their farming in order to kill your character. A feat that is nothing more than a pyrrhic victory.

Actually, as a former guild leader and having guild leader experience since eq1 was released, and having many many guild leader friends, there is nothing petty about reporting people belonging to a certain guild to their leader. I myself have had people in my own guilds that were reported to me from other players. I’ve never once (nor any guild leader I’ve ever known personally) been rude or confrontational with anyone having a problem with any of my members ever. I’m sure it’s not unheard of.

Well with the very limited information we have in this post, it’s petty. All the guy says is that some random players dragged enemies to him. I do it all the time when I’m traveling from one place to another and not bothering to kill enemies on the way.

Granted I attempt to avoid others, but sometimes I’m not paying attention. Other times it’s enemies resetting to their “home” position after I have dragged them all. Most notably the wolves when traveling from Starry to Slough waypoints to gather orichalcum in Frostgorge. There’s a good 20 wolves in that one passage and I just sprint past them. If someone follows behind and stops to fight, they will end up with the 20 wolves following me on their head shortly. I’m sure I’ve dropped on others just as often as people have dropped on me.

I don’t go seeking out the guys guild leader and complain enough that the entire guild drops whatever they are doing to retaliate against the complaint. Something doesn’t jive here. There is most certainly something being left out of the equation.

People play the game for enjoyment and to get away from their crappy hum drum lives. If someone were making it a point to make someone else’s playtime suck, I wouldn’t deem the person being messed with petty for complaining about it.

I deem it petty based on the distinct lack of information. Especially on the forums. It’s his side of the story. Most assuredly it’s exaggerated and definitely not all the information.

I’d love to see metrics on the gem store sales.

The only things I personally have bought with gems (Transmuted gold) has been bank slots, and the halloween mini’s (x2 since I wanted the chainsaw skeleton).

I’m sure they have sold the keys and lots of the costume stuff.

I wonder if they sell any of the rest of the stuff however.

Someone else can chime in but I believe that Tarnished Coast is the official unofficial role play server.

Sometimes that is the sort of thing you need to seek out these days. If that’s your thing. Obviously it’s not for everyone, and you still have to be very tolerant because your idea of role play is going to differ from almost everyone elses.

Whining to the guild leader because someone dragged mobs to you was petty on your part. The response of the guild was equally petty.

Sounds like pettiness all around.

Contact support. Plead your case. No one here can do anything about it.

What will really get your goat is when you preview an armor piece and it buys it for you…

Except that I’m not in game and I looked instead on the wiki. I clicked on the eldritch scroll and saw soulbound and made an error applying that to the weapon. Forgot that I looked at the scroll.

Aren’t mystic weapons soulbound? Guess I misread. Or perhaps just a wiki error on the one I looked at.

Hardly profitable since they are soulbound.

Defrauding a player is ban worthy and with a giant 24 hour window of the “Buyer” getting screwed you run a rather high risk of having your account banned.
