I noticed a FPS drop as well. The drop becomes worse when you increase the FoV and zoom out your camera. I wen’t from running the game at ~120 FPS to now sitting at ~35 FPS in the city hubs such as Lion’s Arch and Divinity’s Reach. I’m not very happy with this. You’d think my PC should be able to handle at least 60 FPS.

8GB Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
I’d use MSI Afterburner to see my VRAM usage, if i were you. A lot of the new options might raise VRAM usage by a lot. And the GTX 970 was advertised as a 4 gigs VRAM card, when it in fact it have 3,5 gigs. If the VRAM usage goes above the 3,5 gigs, you will experience performance drops.

Why people always talk about warrior, when rangers have a weapon that root them into place as they main, spammable skill.

Directx 12 is actually around the corner, now. And yes, having a DX9 only game in 2015 is atrocious. And it is the same company that updated their GW1 directx 8 engine to directx 9 when Guild Wars Factions came out. Directx 9 is so ancient, now. It is 11 years old.
Ranger might be the only profession that have rooting on it’s auto attack and is a good way to get finger arthritis because you have to do your own attacking. It is still one of the best ranger weapon, thought.
I cannot wait to destroy revenants like people destroyed assassins back during the first few months of Factions.
I wasn’t that interested in getting ascended gear, but now i have all the ascended medium armor except the helmet, all ascended accessories and three ascended weapons on my ranger. And i consider myself to be quite poor, i never gotten above 200g in gold.

Ranger’s highest dps right now is a lonbgow barrage + rapid fire + one handed sword + axe offhand. You can use longbow most of the time in general pve. Just don’t use longbow skill 4 when there is people around.
There will still be people, since you can get 50+ champ bags in a ridiculously short time on the map. (Bandit keys + Vinewrath + Nightmare Chest + the champions that spawn after Vinewrath)
Not really. If i use them to level up a character, i still have to buy that character’s traits, despite the fact that i already leveled up five characters.
During that time, in the same amount of months, Guild Wars 1 had three chapters + an expansion,
*Hundred of new skills, dozen of new PVE only skills,
*Dozen of new non cash shop weapons and armors,
*4 new classes
*Two new continent to explore, Far Shiverpeaks, Charr Homeland and new parts of the Maguuma Jungle to explore,
*Hard mode + vanquishing,
*18 dungeons, 8 elite zones,
*New guild halls,
*New PVP modes
ETC.
Thinking about it, i am a bit depressed, now.
Takes me about 5 minutes to complete for 10 AP. Sometimes i get it done with one pvp match. Beats when i needed to do all ten achievements to receive my 10 daily AP.
Easiest way to get one is from the PVP wintersday track. No wonder why the pvp lobby is so full right now and no one is camping the Dolyak in DR anymore.
Oh joy, a mount thread. I can pet a 25% faster run signet and run almost as fast as that 30% mount.
400 gems is too much for an item that was free in Guild Wars 1.
2015 is Guild Wars’ 10th anniversary. It would be professional suicide to not having anything special in 2015.
You might want to use a scepter or a lot of blocks and blind, since most types of mordrem are not very melee friendly.

In Windows 7 and 8, you can configure your keyboard to act as a mouse. It would save your poor left button.

It takes about 10-15 minutes to get the three achievements needed for the daily, and it gives a free 10 AP, instead of grinding 10 achievements to get the 10 daily AP. Are we seriously kittening about simplified dailies that take less time?
After two years of no new skills outside of an universal healing spell that have no need at all and niche healing spells for all professions, the chances are very low that Anet will ever give new weapons to all professions.
And yet, people are still running in circles in Frostgorge and Cursed Shore instead of doing stuff in the silverwastes.
It is hard to be excited about anything since Anet is so secretive about the future.
It is easier to share boons when you are in a full party during events.
There are people in Dry Tops? Last time i went there everyone was in Silver Wastes.
You want to change it for what?
Conditions are garbage in pve due to the fact that players does not get personal condition stacks, due to server cost.
PVT is almost useless against most lvl 80 bosses,
Healing Power is garbage in pve,
That leave us with killing the fastest way possible.
That sounds exactly like Arch Age Online, where a lot of my friends went to play for one week, then came back to GW2.

As a customer, you can tell them that you want nothing with it by not buying an gemstore items.
Remove as many rewards from capping objectives in EotM as possible and maybe EotM would be a palatable replacement to WvW. Probably not, since organization would still be nearly impossible and it would undoubtedly be incredibly zergy. Roaming would be fine, but say goodbye to small scale. 15v15 would turn rather quickly into 80v80, and that’s just a lagfest where one group gets 1-pushed by the other.
Fact is, no one goes to EotM for the fights except guild groups looking to troll the EotM ktrain. So unless they closed the distances and removed all the champion/karma/experiece farms, it’ll still be a place for ktrain pug zergs that utterly avoid each other as much as possible.
It sounds to me that you want to turn it into Guild Wars 1’s Alliance Battle.
I don’t trust Anet on their words. They already said that the NA version won’t be like the Chinese version. Now, the game is level gated like the Chinese version. Flip Flop, Flip Flop.
What were they thinking? Why making it like the Chinese version of the game? Are they seriously holding our hand , as if we were in kindergarten?

There is a little game called Guild Wars 1.
People hate time gating. Time gating basic game features that have been around for the last two years is not a good move.
Turning off sword auto attack is like putting a plaster on a bullet wound.
One vulnerability stack is now more effective than Frost Spirit.
The removal of dyes from the drop tables has to be one of the worst decisions ever made by Arenanet. It is mind boggling that they would make so many decisions that are meant to assist the new player in other areas, but then take out one of the most enjoyable and fun things for anyone in game.
Its like someone came in and crushed all your crayons. I have been in game for 2 years and this decision makes me sad for new players who do not have the joy of getting a new dye. On the days when I was having extreme bad luck and poor drops, a dye could make my entire day.
I don’t know what is worst: the removal of the BLC keys from the drop table or the removal of dyes.
It makes me sad, comparing the first two years of Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2.
Guild Wars 1 had:
-3 main games released,
-New pvp modes,
-Dozens of new armor and weapon skins available in game,
-Hundred of new skills,
-Three campaigns with their own stories, and their own missions,
-Underworld, Fissure of Woe, Tombs of the Primeval Kings, Sorrow Furnace, The Deep, Urgoz’s, Domain of Anguish as elite dungeons / zones, always available.,
-New guild halls,
-More patches and the devs actually talking with their playerbase
For Guild Wars 2 we got:
-Main game released, two living stories
-No new pvp modes after two years
-One universal healing skill, one healing skill for each professions, 6 new traits, no new weapon types
-Some backpieces available in game, one new armor set available in game, some new armor skins hidden behind RNG
-Most weapons and armors skins are in the cash shop
-Wurms and new Tequila
-No guild halls
-A lot less patches, devs hiding in fear from their loyal customers.
-More and more devs leaving the ship / getting pushed out of the ship
I think i know what happened between 2007 and now. Anet was replaced with shape shifting, mind reading lizard people.
Anet PR is horrible,
The game is shifting more and more toward Chinese players (Canthan decoration in the Cliffs, Monkey King tonic, datamined armor is a Chinese armor etc) ,
Be happy it is not the 50% damage nerf on ranger pets and the ranger great sword auto attack nerfed by 50% during BWE2 the rangers suffered. A 5% damage reduction is a small slap on the wrist in comparison.
I don’t know how you guys are getting 10+ foxfire per hours, or i have very bad luck, since i am getting three foxfires per hour, farming the three Orrian maps. I chopped 250 elder woods once without any sight of foxfire.
Prebuilds always have low end hardware. That Intel HD4000 is not good for gaming. It’s good for office work, since prebuilds are usually used for office works, not gaming.
People are too busy cutting wood in Malchor’s Leap and Cursed Shore to go to Dry Top.
The drop rate is about 1/50. You need to cut about 3-3,5k logs to get all the foxfire you need for the back piece.
What i fear is not the lack of expansions and other things. What i fear is the NA and EUR players becoming second rated citizens now that the Chinese market is opened. See monkey king tonic, new back piece hidden behind jumping through fiery loops to get it, while previous back pieces were easier to get, because Chinese players lik that kind of overly complicated stuff and, of course, Chinese decorations at the cliff, when we never got the DR Canthan District.
Drakes are very good, and as Aomine said, most pet family are lackluster in PVE. Pets getting a certain percentage of their master’s stats and aoe reduction would make pets 100% better in pve.
