Just add an aoe w/ 2 additional targets to #1 and 2.
Deathly Chill is perfect now. It was nerfed in the area where it was overpowered (pvp) and buffed in the area it was underpowered/useless (pve). Those people complaining are always going to complain until they can kitten on necros without taking any damage themselves.
They don’t need to add new weapons, just skins for current ones. A greataxe skin on a greatsword or hammer would do perfectly. We have scythe skins for staves after all. In fact, the Mordrem Axe used by Axemaster Hareth was going to be a hammer skin but got changed for some reason.
I haven’t much experience in post HoT pvp, but from what I’ve heard Necro gs is laughable bad as a pvp weapon.
I’ve always said they should just change corruptions so that all conditions attached to the skills are inflicted on the foe to begin with.
E.g. Blood is power – Inflict 4 stacks of bleed + 2 torment if traited. Nerf the duration a bit if need be.
While many of you may say “well we have condi transfer”, this would be like having a Mesmer or Mallyx Rev inflict boons on their foe, just because they have a large amounts of boon strip.
There is a great animation I had in mind for a leap on #3. For those of you that have done the “not so secret” jumping puzzle, if you use one of the devices that propels you forward with a drawn greatsword, it looks amazing.
The only time I used a shield is for pvp on all the classes that used them however I am using the shield for my mesmer/ chromancer in PVE.
Granted I haven’t used my Mesmer properly in PVE but I do intend to do his HOT story in the near future.
Technically the shield on Revenant is handy in PVE too but again I haven’t used her in HOT story yet and I generally have her offhand a sword just for the extra damage and the dual trait (I mean skill 4 and 5 are not too useful in general PVE per say).
The dual wielding trait just means have 2 one handed weapons. I’ve tested and you gain the bonus from using a shield.
We have reversed mentality. Instead of us going after the target, we pull the target to us. In theory its all fine and balanced, but ff course movement skill is more useful in general.
Guardian GS has both a leap (probably the best leap in the game) and an aoe Pull, which can be used for pure dps instead. Just food for thought.

Suggested Buff: Grant all 3 boons (protection, regen, swiftness) instead of 1 randomly.
Reasoning: Other similar elixirs grant all of their respective effects. Elixir B grants 4 boons but its toolbelt version grants 1 random boon + stability. Elixir C converts all conditions into boons but its toolbelt version converts 2 conditions into boons. Elixir H on the other hand only grants 1 random boon when its toolbelt version also grants 1 random boon. Additionally Elixir H is a vastly underused heal and needs a bit of love.
I would just like for them 2 speed up that auto attack on GS… Everything else is fine for me
And maybe lower some of the CD’sPersonally, I like the speed of the auto (it makes the reaper unique compared to other melee-gs professions). However, I would like the damage scaling of it to be greatly increased to compensate. And I agree with lower CD’s (at least on 5).
But dagger auto is better dps’ than Greatsword auto. Buff to 1/2s, 1/2s and 3/4s cast for the auto chain. And Gravedigger needs to be buffed to 1s cast time and remove the excessive aftercasts.
You basically put your trust in the wrong person unfortunately.
I’m fine with keeping the current effect but adding a leap to it, similar to Warrior’s Savage Leap.
Add an aoe 3 target to the auto and #2. And yes a blast to #3.
At this point, I purely use Lich Form for the Mark of Horrors on my condi Necro. Though I would be very sad to see that go, I would love the idea of an elite party buff.
Sunrise. The chain on Foefire’s Essence ruins it for me. Also big projects like Legendaries make the game more enjoyable imo.
Is all bullkitten ofc they can do it we already have enemy ridin a raptor and more ofc they can do it
Yes, because comparing a limited amount of mounted of npcs to a maximum of 100 – 150 mounted players is valid.
In this case it’s not an issue of if the engine can do it, but how much processor power is required. Playing the game at 1-5 frames is not something a developer aims at.
We already have a “hidden minis when there are too many people on the map”. We can have the same for mounts.
Screw Jalis. I just want Glint underwater for those dank boons.
All I ask for is change the kittening Sword animation. No one likes the terrible trust attack that has that can’t hit foes to the side of you for kitten. And make the 2nd attack in the chain have a 1/2s cast like the rest of the attacks.
Devastation: Vicious Lacerations, Assassin’s Presence, Swift Termination.
Invocation: First trait optional, Invigorating Flow, Roiling Mists.
Herald: First trait optional, Shared Empowerment, Elder’s Force.
Main weapons: Sword/Axe (axe has CC and a gap closer making it the better of the 3 offhands).
Second set: Hammer for range or Staff for breakbars.
Berserker armour + scholar runes + Force sigil (I prefer to use strength for my 2nd sigil to trigger Shared Empowerment on cooldown).
You’re better off with Berserker runes if you’ve got 100% bleed from other modifiers.
1289*200+185=257985 salvages. 8664 hours over 1362 days.
Unless you plan on using it in WvW, go with Vipers. It’s far cheaper and is far more useful in all pve situations.
They nerfed it because it was a kittenty idea to begin with. It was completely unreliable because it was constantly being overridden when anyone else applied chill (which was all too common). I can only think you’re talking from a pvp perspective. From a pve perspective, it is the best thing ever.
Soul Eater
Reduces recharge on Greatsword skills. (20%)
All attacks whilst wielding a Greatsword cause Life steal. (50 damage/40 healing)
Greatsword attack speed is increased by 15%.
My suggestion from a few months back.
I mean I know the old one was still inferior to its counterparts. But it granted life steal on all attacks whilst using a Greatsword. This + vampiric/vampiric presence and vampiric wells could rack up a nice amount of sustain and additional damage. Not amazing I know but it was fun as a gimmick.
Does anyone actually use this trait? At least in it’s original beta form (~50/40 lifesteal whilst using a Greatsword) it could be used by those of us who like Life Steal. Please either revert to its old form or buff to something useful. Currently I would rank it one of the most useless Elite traits of all 9 professions, if not all other traits too.
It’s a shame we can’t choose which faction we join. Inevitably we’ll get Lazarus the Dire as the final boss in Raid Wing 3 and we’ll end up defeating him and the remaining White Mantle.
Always Necromancer.
Why on earth do we need the shadowstep back on this skill? Can’t we just have a 600 range pull with chill? This is a fine example of “Just because you are different, doesn’t mean you are useful”.
And Anet wonders why no one runs duel axes on warrior.
I managed a max of 49 bleed stacks on my ranger. Shortbow, krait runes, and all the things that do bleed.
After the utter disappointment that was Revenant Sword animation, I’m glad to see how good the new sword animation is on Ranger. So much so I’ve started to play my Ranger again. Kudos Anet.
I think you are remembering wrong. They would have been a great way to gain life force pre fight in pvp.
No. Clone death traits were cancerous and required no skill. That coffin should stay shut.
But yes the outfit is pretty good.
Necromancers have a better current condition build to Berserkers, without using any burning. Just saying.
But more importantly, why does it require a target?
Because, before the change, you could spam the skill in order to recharge Astral Force / Celestial Avatar while out of combat.
But later they changed it so that you only gained Astral Force if you actually healed an ally, rather than from just using a skill that healed them, making the previous change pointless.
With the rotation you still have a 100% upkeep on the boons from the facets, but with the addition of Quickness from Impossible Odds.
Destroyer pvp scythe skin. Look it up in the wardrobe. I wants it!
They were the best thing Anet has added, aside from the Elite specs.
Bumping this to show how much can change. With the current necro condi meta, the old Beta “Rise” would be amazing. 5 extra Jagged Horrors every 24 seconds.
While I know this would never happen, I would love if Anet reverted “Rise” to its early Beta form. Summoning Jagged Horrors instead of of Shambling ones, with degen instead of a built-in death timer.
No no no. Capes in gw1 were horribly clippy and nasty. And that was on humans. Imagine Charr. Just no.
Slothasor without reflects/projectile blocks.
I’m In for that but I want a a new race with the expac or the Dervish profession from gw2 to return
Until then grab your Daredevil or Revenant, put on the Arcane outfit and equip either the Halloween Scythe or Final Rest skin.
Pvp Destroyer Scythe (staff) skin. I would pay out the kitten in gems for it.
I think its unusable under water because of Facet of Elements flip skill.
Like wells and banners, it could target your current position.
I mainly want it for Honor of the Waves. While Anet mostly killed dungeons with the gold nerf, there are still many of us who either need the dungeoneer title or who are helping friends with it (of which I am the latter). I understand having Jalis and Ventari stance underwater wouldn’t work mechanically but we can already use Herald’s F2 ability underwater, which is mechanically the same as all Dragon Stance skills.
What does flashing shroud mean?
It is where you pop into shroud and out again immediately after. It’s usually to trigger a lot of “upon entering shroud” traits such as Weakening Shroud and Furious Demise. It saw a lot more use pre HoT when our shroud was inferior dps to dagger because it was a ranged attack. Now we have Reaper Shroud, it doesn’t see as much use.
One suggestion for Putrid Defences would be that whenever they hit you with an attack they are poisoned, in addition to the current damage reduction. That way it would be useful even if you had no skills that inflicted poison. It could have an ICD per each foe but the duration of the poison could last as long as the ICD, therefore allowing you to permanently keep up the damage reduction. Maybe even double it to 20% while in shroud? That might be too much though.
