The Beyond the Veil – jagged horror mark buff would be crazy to abuse. 5 jagged horrors every 30s or less. That would be even more broken than the Viper Horror adrenal mushroom abuse on Sabetha, that was nerfed.
Go with Vipers. While expensive, it will also allow you access to raids. Necromancers are also currently top tier for fractals due to their ability to tank a lot of damage through skills like “Rise”, shroud and a high health pool, without having to put anything into vitality or toughness.
First off I’d like to say I absolutely adore Raids now. At first I was a bit put off by them but once I bothered to learn the raid mechanics and meet a few like minded people, we manged to clear the first wing and have just managed to killed Slothasor and the Bandit Trio last night.
But to my main point, I dearly hope to see Lazarus the Dire as the final boss in the 3rd wing of the raid. Since that fateful quest chain in gw1: Eye of the North, I’ve been awaiting the day we get to see him take back in action.

Yes, it only takes into account your precision from gear. Outside sources like banners, signets and food do not contribute.

Shroud flashing came to prominence mainly because baseline shroud wasn’t as high dps as dagger, back in the day. Now we have Reaper’s Shroud, it seems a waste to flash shroud.
No it does not crit. But life steal is a special damage type which will go through anything. It can even hit certain objects that cannot normally be targeted (WvW supply depots).

The only SR traits I do not use are Fear of Death and Unyielding Blast. Both have low value compared to the other two choices.
That’s why Dhuumfire would be perfect for joining with Unyielding Aura.
I like the idea but it effects way too many things to be called balanced. “Weapon skills that generate life force are faster and deal more damage” includes greatsword, staff and dagger auto attack, axe #2, gs #3 & #5, sceptre #3, focus #4, warhorn #5. That alone would seem a bit too powerful but then you have the addition of the spectral grasp aspect. That bit seems far more balanced but the only problem is it seems to be very similar to Grasping Darkness (GS #5).
I think Reaper’s Onslaught should be moved to Master tier so you must choose between Decimate Defenses and it. That way Death Perception will become a worthy choice again since DD kind of screwed it over big time. Then maybe buff Soul Eater and move it to GM?
The problem I have with the Shroud grandmaster traits are that Death perception is kind of useless now we have Decimate Defenses. And Dhuumfire seems to be the go to trait for power reaper builds just because it is the least useless trait to take. I would love to see Dhuumfire and Unyielding Blast merged and then add a new trait. Something that adds quickness on crit maybe? I’m not too sure but the suggested idea above seems way too overpowered.
Good idea for Flurry. Needs the locking removed too. The only skills that should lock you are incredibly high hitting ones (Meteor Shower/Hundred Blades).

lol you dont need mushrooms to be good dps. condi reaper has good dps without mushrooms. you need mushrooms and heals to be exploitative.
take a viper horror build into fractals and watch how hard it carries. you can facetank anything and it makes even lame 80-100 fractals easy.
Whether or not it’s a viper horror or just normal MM, it makes high end fractals easy (2 man level 85 easy).
Yes, nerf it for PvP so it becomes useless in PvE again.

Yeah but Necro support should be more than just 1 skill. The problem is not skills it’s that most PvE mobs don’t use boons. Necro is a debuff class so now that we’re good in PvP we suck (from a support stance) in high level PvE. If Anet would make more bosses and Champ lvl creatures really use boons we’d be in high demand.
What I’d like to seen in an elite well is something that gels well with some of our best builds. of course as a PvE WvW Wellomancer any decent elite well would be good for me but I’d like to see a well that MMs and Condi necros can use as well(No pun intended

Very interesting suggestion, right now this trait is useless compared with the other options. The Life steal. (50 damage/40 healing) wouldn’t be that bad if you consider that GS can hit 3~5 targets, even if is slow. But what really would shine is the CD reduction and 15% atk speed.
Also, the Life steal could trigger with any skill while GS is equiped, something like Zealous Blade trait of Guardian (would work on utilities).
Indeed, even as a source of sustain it is totally inferior to Chilling Victory/Blighters Boon combo.
And yes the “all attacks” did refer to every attack made whilst wielding a greatsword, not just the greatsword attacks.

The effect itself would grant a green fire effect to weapons of those it effects.
This would grant Necros a nice party buff which could be useful to both condition and pure damage builds.

Yes please. This was one of the few things I loved in WoW. Have a bunch of pvp servers and make it race against race. You could have raids upon each others capitals and suchlike.
When Anet first introduced the Black Wing backpiece, it was love at first sight (well in gw1 but also gw2). However since then the wings have been updated to the point in which they ragdoll more than goat shouted off the top of a mountain in Skyrim. With the addition of the more solid golden and hawk wings, I would like to request that Anet update the old wings to match the new ones.

The secondary effect of shouts and GS trait is currently a regular abysmall lifesteal.
Ive always voted for shouts STEALING 1 boon, to not have another corrupt AND the whole up line of reaper traits is meant as tanky brawler. It works with blighters boon.
I would definetly put something boon related to gs to further fuel that theme.Beside boonsteal, maybe each gs skill generating a specific bbon? Might stab fury prot swiftnes. On 1-5 for example all short 2s
Well you could change it like that. I was just thinking of keeping it similar to what it is now (as Anet intended) but with a much needed attack speed buff that everyone has been wanting for Greatsword. Also I’m a sucker for life stealing.
The life steal itself could be more valuable than you realise, if they make it scale right. The only reason why life stealing is pretty terrible (it pains me to say) is because of bad scaling.

Somehow I believe, you haven’t realized still, that buying thigns of the Gemstore is for every player 100% OPTIONAL.. You aren’t forced to by anything god darn it EVER from it, so don’t make it look like, that suggestign things for the gemstore to improve the game is just putting wood into some kind of evil scam fire..

I hate this mentality that because you’ve bought the game, everything added should be free. At least Anet allows us to buy with in game gold instead of just making it a real money only shop.
Aye as I said it was one or the other, not both. Honestly I’d prefer the former (all the current conditions inflict upon the enemy instead of ourselves). And remove that kittening vulnerability (and traited blind) from Consume Conditions. It’s supposed to eat all the kittening conditions, not give us them.
Reduce Well of Suffering and Corruption’s cooldown to 30 seconds.
Add bonus damage to Corruption if no boons are removed (+50% or so).
Buff Well of Blood since it is currently outmatched by Signet of Vampirism.
Another projectile destruction would be great, especially considering Corrosive Poison Cloud’s horrid self inflicting weakness (changes to Corruptions are for another topic).
And yes, as spoj said, pulsing stability on Well of Power.

To all the idiots that don’t see the satire, he is making fun of Blood is Power and corruptions in general due to the fact that they are the only profession skills in gw2 that harm the user.
What Anet needs to do is cut out the middleman (condi transfer) and just make it so the skills apply all the conditions to the foe instead of to you. BiP looks a lot stronger when you are inflicting 4 bleed stacks (and 2 torment when traited) instead of having to apply 2 bleed and 2 torment to yourself then send them. Either that or make all corruption skills grant you 1 or 2 seconds of Resistance.
I wish they’d do the same for Mesmer greatsword #3 and Guardian #4. Rooting should only occur on incredibly powerful skills like Hundred Blades or Meteor Shower.

Reaper is awesome but that is about as far as I would go on describing how great elite specs are. Even for reaper this is primarily for a power build. If I was going for conditions I probably wouldn’t care as much about reaper.
I haven’t found the rest to be especially compelling. That is not to say I think the rest are bad. They are different but not required.
Looks at all the condi reapers doing 20-30k bleed ticks on raid bosses.
That does require the healing of the Lich minions though. For general play, Viper Horror isn’t that great.
QQ’ers think that the more they say “gw2 is losing its player base” the more real it becomes.
If you wanted to implement this, Thieves would need to have a second health bar.

Well Thieves are only getting the health bar, not the additional skills. But stealth and evades on my necro sounds pretty kitten good.

I’m back to running dungeons again now that I find HoT meta events tiresome (and I have my Hope/Nevermore). I always enjoyed their so called “failed” content more than the stuff they have added with HoT.
Change Soul Eater so it adds +10% damage to your auto attack damage, life steals on all attacks (including utilities and suchlike) whilst wielding a Greatsword and the 20% recharge on Greatsword skills. Then switch it to Grandmaster, whilst Reaper’s Onslaught goes to Master.
Axe falls into the same catagory as Warrior Rifle and Thief Pistol/Pistol, though both of those got buffs recently. They’re all inferior to another weapon due to the fact they are mostly single target weapons.
This may have been already answered but does anet have any intention of adding autoloot to WvW? It seems like it’s the one place where autoloot should have been added.
TL:DR. Zenith didn’t look at the warning when he attached the sigil and now is mad about it.
At this point I’m not bothered by a lack of build saving. Most builds I use I can remember.
Thief: Zerker sword/pistol, with invigorating precision and signet of malice. Spam Pistol Whip/Black Powder and you will not die.
Necro (Reaper): Zerker Minion master with all the bells and whistles is near unkillable. The damage mitigation from “Rise” and the sustain from the minion life steal (and your own) is rather amazing.
I’d say these two are far more sustainable than any other class in zerker gear.
