You have to craft exotics to reach 500 so just salvage those. They seem to have the same drop rate as named exotics. That is, once I salvaged a couple and got nothing, and another time I salvaged 4 and got 9 ectos and 9 dark matter.

Level up magic find and they drop everywhere and off everything. Maybe I’m just having a lucky day, but they were dropping today like T5 mats used to drop with no magic find. Killed a blue ooze and a tiny blue ooze in the Frostgorge jp and got two T6 mats, just as one example. 94%, can only imagine what this is like when it’s maxed.

And the dragons/temples give ore to each level 80 character every day.

They are far from 100% with a BL kit. I salvaged a pile of exotics and got one inscription. Didn’t keep track of how many were weapons, but at least 10.

I go in every day. I finished the achievements for World 1, played through World 2 on infantile mode and now I go back to the first two zones of World 1 every day to dig and loot the chests (=farm). Two main reasons for it. First is that the chests drop tradeable skins which are worth a couple gold on the trading post. I’ve gotten three so far. Not a bad return on the time investment considering I only do the fast and easy routes. (Did King Toad on normal once for the achievement and never again.) Second is with how long it takes to get the bubbles, I want to have some stored up for when the box returns with new rewards.

I don’t wvw so often, but when I do I notice that everyone completely ignores the pet. And no wonder, they don’t drop a loot bag or xp so there is no reason to waste time attacking it. It once glitched into a tower while we were breaking a door down and I got off two rounds of F2 reef drake skill (not sure what it was hitting, but I could see the numbers through the wall) before anyone bothered to attack it back.

People do karka queen on other servers? I may have to start guesting somewhere when I go there for my daily wood run. I always see other players, and they are always doing exactly what I’m doing: running around alone collecting mats.

Edit: and opening the easy chests/jumping puzzle for those new shards.

It’s not that hard to get karma. I don’t do fractals, blew ALL my karma on boxes the day before the update, and have still earned 200k since then… (not counting my 5000 point 5 jug reward karma).

I play a lot but I wasn’t deliberately trying to farm karma in this time. And I did buy the karma infusion the day after patch. Definitely recommend it if you are worried about your karma. Only 10 laurels.

Just did World 1 Zone 2 on normal and didn’t get the achievement. Yes, I used a guide. Yes, I killed the boss. No, I did not leave before the timer ran out. I bought a life from a shopkeeper (and used it), maybe that was the problem?

This is my very last one before I’m done. Really annoying. I don’t want to do it again.

I’ve been opening tons of chests for the fragments and I’ve gotten one tiara and one continue coin.

At about 72% and had a rare and an exotic drop today within seconds of each other. I love the new magic find. Noticeable difference in rare drops already, not just that one time. I went afk and came back to a proud pet standing next to a chest with a rare in it. Love it. I never used to get rare drops.

I check the AH first but if no one has a buy order in for more than 1 s vendor price I just salvage it and eat the luck myself.

If you don’t like the recoloured skins why do you care about Tribulation mode? That’s the only thing you can get out of it. And achievement points, I guess.

Not into the Box at all (loathed this style of game when I was a kid, and still don’t have much patience for it), but I like the way they handled this update. Working on World 1, have no intentions of even setting foot in World 2 after what I’ve heard about it. Do a little every day and should have the title by the end of the month.

The one slightly critical point would be that Infantile Mode is not easy enough. Take out the jumping and leave the stupid enemies, which are the actual challenge? Can only assume it’s just meant to be a joke. Other people were saying they got the achievements in IM, but it really isn’t any easier. Might as well just do it on normal and get the reward.

Yep. Before GW2 I was playing The Secret World and I quit for two reasons: that game is seriously heavy on oneshot mechanics and everyone was absolutely obsessed with DPS. Do a dungeon, and someone will run a dps check on every boss to see how everyone is doing. Every time. No, I don’t want to practice my godforsaken rotation and improve my dps, I want to play a game.

I got to the 11th boss and just got fed up with the whole thing. Not a good feeling. I know I could have gotten through the whole thing, but the time it would take and the cost (and stress) is just not worth it. I don’t care about the mini that much, I’m missing so many of them that I’ll never notice it’s not there, but I’m noticing an intense focus on DPS in the last few events and it’s starting to get uncomfortable.

I was pretty sure I’d done all the maps but not completely sure… but it was confirmed when the 13/13 finally popped and I got a single shoulder scrap as a reward at the same time.

A different achievement that bugged on me was in the Queen’s Gauntlet. Killed the slime at the very last minute and got credit for the boss fight daily, and the the quest updated as succeeded… and I got teleported back to the announcer after getting dumped, but I didn’t get the achievements for gambits. Had to do it again.

I tried Protect Me and it never ever worked. All that happened was that when I went down my pet had no health left so I had no chance to recover. I assumed the skill would only absorb so much damage before it came back to me but I guess it’s working for other people? :s

As soon as you get into the bubble, run straight to the middle. He summons the circle with you in the middle. It is MUCH easier when he is also in the middle of the circle rather than outside of it for several reasons including you get a better view without the dome giving you weird camera angles.

I saw those videos too, and this “go left go right go left” business… just run to the middle, then you can just circle around him like normal.

Just did a jumping puzzle (King Jalis’s Refuge, if it matters) and got a support token. The vote is over, isn’t it? Would have much preferred a Gauntlet token, those I need.

Nevermind. I found the magic order that worked for me.

First mate → AoE Guy → Healer → Captain

Need help. Couldn’t find any other topics about this fight.

Up to this point it’s all been relatively easy but I just cannot get this one. I always time out on the last guy and get my kitten dumped out of the arena. I tried to kick up the DPS and they killed me. Everyone says to kill the captain second, but after I kill him it seems like 50% of my attacks stop hitting the target. I watched two videos, they both killed captain second… and got NO EVADES on their attacks for the last two. Like, absolutely none. How did they do it? What do I need to change? Is it precision?

Seriously stuck.
