Pure speculation based on what people read here. Lots of people who weren’t there last year and didn’t bother to research properly believing misinformation on the trading post forum. At least, that’s the only explanation I can come up with.
Maybe, but if so it would probably be more aetherpath-like stuff.
I don’t miss this path. Wouldn’t miss its replacement either to be entirely honest. Or cof 3. Or arah 1. All the paths I’ve done either exactly once or never. <3
Well you could keep playing until you literally can’t any more (months, weeks?) And live with impaired function in your arm for the rest of your life.
Or take a break for awhile.
I know I’d try playing one hand myself first though, haha. Especially if I was off work, boring days without the computer. But if I couldn’t do it or it just wasn’t fun to play that way, I’d stop.
Don’t do it, you can get a mini cat with 75 laurels!!!
He is wearing a little bowtie and a bowler hat.

A tool which shows what/how much stuff you need along with current costs on the tp for any legendary.
Oh oh does anyone know if deleting a character causes you to lose race based personal story achievements?
Oh god why did I make my heavies a female sylvari (have yet to find heavy armor that flatters her body type) and charr (I think she’s lovely but from lurking I know the judge don’t like charr).
Zodiac fits pretty well with blue skin! http://prntscr.com/2tu11h I suppose if you’re going as far to change skin colour you might want to get a sex change too xD
She has blue skin, but the problem for me is every leg piece makes her butt look huge. Which combined with her tiny upper body… bleh. Would have to try it on for real to test it but still looks like this set has that problem. I even used a makeover kit to try making her more proportional, nada. I think it’s also part just the way sylvari run. :X I already have a male sylvari, if there was more than one voice for each race/sex combo I’d consider that.
I’m fussy in some ways though, kind of like how asura dressup is totally ruined by their toes sticking out of the boots. And not even all their toes, just the ones other races don’t have. OMG. It bugs me way too much. (I know there are some sets that don’t do it, but but my options. I want them.)
I love my Charr, not sure what counts as fashionable, but I love her and her looks, so she’s in my submission. For the other two, it was hard to pick just one. The wardrobe update has been great, been grinding dungeons for skin unlocks and almost all chars got a makeover. (Or two. So far.) All of my submissions are wearing at least one piece of dungeon armor.
1. Heavy – Twilight Arbor
2. Medium – Sorrow’s Embrace
3. Light – Caudecus’s Manor
I did not crop, that is my actual resolution. -_-

It depends on my mood. When I create groups, I usually take on anybody within the dungeon’s level range and who is willing to learn, if they’re new. That also means I have to spend more time teaching possible newbies. Sometimes I don’t have the time for that and would rather just join an existing group who already know what to do.
It’s exactly this. I have wondered about why. Why can someone else make a group and end up with a smooth run but if I try making a group with the same description I usually end up with a less than stellar mix of players.
I have a theory. It’s because other people who start groups often have a partially full group already. So 2-3 people who know what they are doing right of the bat, or newbies with friends who knows they are new and prepared to help. I was in a group like this the other day, joined 4 guildies, 2 under 80. I was a bit skeptical but decided to stay and it was just fine, some explaining but on the whole fast and smooth. And I personally didn’t have to explain anything. ^^
Also I find it easier to be picky when I join and can just leave if i see something that turns me off rather than make the group and have to reinforce my preferences by kicking. I hate kicking. File it under conflict avoidance.
Just buy the legendary you want and be done with it.
And if anyone has been playing since game launch and does not have at least 4k gold, either in gold or mats/items to sell by now, you have been doing something very, very wrong.
If blowing all my gold in the cash shop is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.
Most of the people in lfg are nice and competent enough. No, really. You just remember the annoying ones more.
I use lfg because I don’t want a dungeon schedule, I want to do the dungeons I want when I want. You sound more tolerant of scheduling fun than I am, but I’ll give some tips anyway for good experiences, though bad experiences are unavoidable for the truly lazy, I’ve had good luck with the following:
Join neutral-sounding groups. Stuff like noob=kick is to be avoided, always. If nothing else, it’s a troll magnet.
Ideal descriptions are p3, p1 + p3, p1 only 80, or p1 experienced.
I personally try to avoid any group that asks for specific gear or specific classes (especially if it’s like 1 mes 2 ele…) The rumors of pugs in clerics come from people joining these groups just to troll them. Most people use power gear/builds. It is very rare to get a group that has just plain awful damage.
I do join ap req groups. In my experience it is irrelevant if they ask for that or not.
Good luck
And if it’s not back? Eh, I’ll get over it. I managed to beat Liadri the first time around, so I’m content with that. I probably could have gotten it if my characters were properly geared at the time.
I didn’t get it last year. Had only one lvl 80 at the time, a ranger, and lacked the skill. That update is actually what pushed me into trying zerk gear. I never even tried Liadri, got fed up with the gauntlet at the boss right before her. Confident now that I can do it and will probably even try for the orb one if it’s still there.
One thing that occurred to me, I really hope they change the setup and put it in an instance or SOMETHING. With MegaServer there is going to be a permanent giant zerg in the Pavilion, which leads to massive problems for most people.
It’s just a skin but it’s a very nice skin. I do enjoy the game more since I made mine tbh. It’s just so pretty. Better than I was expecting, at least on one character. Other one has horrible clipping issues when stowed, but most gs clip horribly on female norn. (bought pre, never had one drop)
But the rose is currently very pricy, and originally linked to content which is coming back in a few days. There was an account bound version you could get trading fortune scraps (?) and tradeable one from the race. I remember it very clearly because they added it to the scraps vendor after I’d blown all mine on rng boxes, was very annoyed.
Yay, can’t wait! Finally get to finish the gauntlet now that I got geared and got good. I have like 400 entrance tickets I’ve been holding on to.
Quite a few, but nowhere near what I could do before MegaServer. Lyssa especially, though I really didn’t bother with it before the trait unlock and once I’ve unlocked it on all my characters I will stop bothering again. (3/4 characters that I play have it now.)
Why does it all have to be on one class/char? The gear costs the same whether you are buying 3 sets for one or one set for 3. Plus with diminishing returns being at least partially character bound, playing just one will net you less rewards. Finally, playing different classes is fun.
I am really missing that white champ box he always used to give me, siiiigh. Have really only been doing world bosses when I happen to be on the map at the time, the zergs are just too big for it to be fun anymore. Did do dwayna with 5-6 other people early last Sunday morning, that was really fun.
I don’t get why this one is so popular, is staff really a good weapon for any class?
I dump ascended armor chests that i don’t know what else to do with on my necro. Got a dire chest and cavalier legs so far.
:D
BEAR APPROVES OF YOU! I CAN FEEL HIS LITTLE TAIL WAGGING IN MY HEART!
I cracked up, then checked Google. Yep, some npc actually says this. *wipes tear
Most annoying for me was the bank npc in Lions arch. “What. What. What. What. What.” Every time someone talked to her: WHAT. Fortunately nuked with the rest of them.
It took some time to figure out, maybe 5 min. Not so much broken as tricky.
That’s how I feel, too. Honestly, until I started PUGing CM p1, I didn’t even know people just skipped that part/let a thief solo it. It always just went so fast with my guild groups. But after some of the PUGs I’ve been with recently, I can understand why people want someone to solo it.
Most pugs don’t skip that, or didn’t anyway. Only recently I’ve been seeing it. The big problem with this logic is then everyone has to get through the net turrets, etc. which is way harder than just killing them. I have yet to see a group where the thief helps, everyone is just expected to get through on their own. I leave these groups now as soon as I realize it’s a skip group again. Skipping only makes sense when it actually is faster.
Doubt it, at least as far as dates go. If it were coming that soon, they would have said something more than “we are working on new stuff but can’t give a timeline”. Unfortunately. I want new stuff too.
I used them to level crafting 450-475, but if you don’t want ascended probably you don’t care about that either.
What top is that? I’m guessing it’s a gem store thing.
Do you have the sprocket node in your home instance? There’s a chance to get 1 blade shard every time you mine it. So max 3/day.
Or you can borrow someone else’s instance to mine. If you are eu you could use mine. Keep forgetting to do it, good reminder.

So, based on your advices, I used the beloved /kick command.I created that LFG, said zerker meta builds only for a full run of AC. I didn’t care for the profession, just meta-build.
Do you know what I got? Dozens of guardians with staff. First pug to join, a necro zerker, a real one! God bless him! And then the journey into oblivion started. Kick over kick. The staff guardians aligned to join, I kept asking to ping their main weapon, all of them were staves. So that was a real kickfest
Awesome, please keep using “meta” in your group description so I know not to join. Not being snarky, that is one of the key words I look for to know not to join. Other words that keep me out are gear ping and speed run. I want fast, but I just don’t take it all so seriously.
Cause if they knew what they were doing they’d bring a different class, and necros who don’t know what they are doing are always fearing the boss out of the corner. I’m not picky, use full zerk myself but don’t expect it from everyone, don’t care if it takes an extra 5 min for whatever reason, laugh off wipes, but I avoid joining a party if I see they already have a necro.
Stand right on top off him so the “talk” option shows instead of “open crafting station”.
I dimly remember being new and leveling my first character. Pretty sure I just used whatever stuff dropped while exploring and doing hearts. Didn’t craft, didn’t buy karma gear, didn’t use the tp (too pricy for me).
If I’m going to use a black lion kit, I’m going to want to get mats back from it. Come on, stop asking for “no mat” salvage they might actually give it to us. They have enough info now to know that making all gear salvageable will not break the game. Buying and salvaging wvw gear for example would give a very low profit in the absolute best case scenario, which you rarely see, otherwise no profit.
I won’t play another sub game again. It doesn’t matter though because they would never do that, suddenly ask for sub fees after like 2 years without.
I also made a gs two days ago (or is it 3 now?) and have decided that my next legendary will be an underwater one. Pretty much settled on the spear, which is used by most classes including all my favorites and second favorites. It’s really the same logic I used to pick gs for the first one. If I’m going to put so much into one thing, it’s going to be a thing I use a LOT. All other choices are theoretically possible on multiple chars but realistically would only be used on one.
The free trial is something like 14 hours over a month, not a month of unlimited play.
China, that’s what there was. China is pretty big, just not for us.
Yep. Just have to wait for China to get settled, then we’ll get new stuff again. Just hoping we won’t have to wait for them to get through the whole living story to date before we get anything new.
I’d like it to come back for a bit, just to have something, well, not exactly new to do, but different. Also I’ve been working on my jumping/general gameplay skills and maybe want another crack at World2.
I bought some faction armor (Vigil) for the skins and despite being crazy expensive (almost 9g for a full set of rare pieces) these are not salvageable either. Seriously what the heck.
I bought Dawn for 730g. I can’t speak for anyone else, but the reason I did it now (well 2 weeks ago. Ish.) is primarily because they are now account bound. Before it was just an insane resource dump into a pretty shiny thing for just one character, now it’s still crazy expensive but at least I can shuffle it around. Other reasons were that there is just nothing better to do in the game at the moment and I had pretty much everything else I needed for Sunrise. I’d imagine that the other people buying them are thinking along the same lines
Sold one, bought a different one.
Add me to the list of people missing living world. The break has been nice; got to level a new character, grind dungeons, and make a legendary (first one). But I’m starting to wonder when the next bit is coming.
I disagree on your second point though. Basically you said you like getting things for free : “I’ll only come if I can get silvers and tokens”. Which means you get payed to be rewarded. There is a problem here. Someone sells you tokens, they don’t give them
Well, they don’t do it anymore. I don’t remember the exact numbers but it was something like you’d get 3g76s and 60 tokens for “completing” the dungeon, and give the seller 3g50s. The only reason not to buy it every day was if you wanted to run it yourself, which I didn’t, and still don’t. I think I’ve done a total of 6 legit arah runs, that was enough.
176 runs done… still going there. That’s all i got to say. Aetherpath is awesome
And to the guys that said slick and sparki are a DPS race, they are NOT. I’ve soloed that fight once and it took me about 20 minutes, all you need to know is about the mechanics of the fight.
How many of the rare skins have you seen drop?
I don’t do this path because I only do pug runs and it’s just way too daunting to pug this one. I don’t want to spend two hours in a dungeon and maybe not even finish.
I made a new character to try it out. When he hit 80 he had 12/65 traits and I actually kinda was trying to get them. Working on the story dungeons now and it’s been pretty painful. Not everyone is as sensible as me and waits until 80 to do them. xD
I am very grateful that my pre patch lowbie alts do not have to do all this, and that I had most classes already.
The number of selling posts in ac is annoying, sometimes they completely overwhelm the pugs. If ac wasn’t so easy, you know, I’d be all over that but it is super easy so I don’t get how there can be such high demand.
I bought arah paths before and yes I have 9000+ AP and just wanted the tokens. That was back when it was cheaper, there was one path that was sold “at cost” so it was 60 tokens plus a handful of silver for free. Haven’t seen one of those for awhile, or I’d still buy them.
The only thing I’ve noticed is that you now get bags of coins from the chests instead of from the bags the bosses drop.
Do it soon, please. Was trying to adventure in gendarran fields and it was like MegaServer doesn’t even exist with everyone afking by the Mystic forge. Will just go back once this char hits 80 and can easily handle everything alone, but it was disappointing.
