They also fixed the preview of special effects on weapons, at least for priory weapons they did.

I do my rez daily by rezzing npc’s near the nebo terrace waypoint, but I don’t see any problem with people jumping from vistas killing themselves.

Sounds like it would be hilarious to watch.

Never Doing Dungeons: WvW Still Viable?

I don’t do dungeons either, and yeah, it’s possible to get exotic gear without stepping foot in a dungeon.

My main way of making money is pent/shelt, dragons, and occasionally selling crafting materials I don’t need. Since I don’t have a black lion salvage kit, I usually just sell my rares on the TP, sometimes I’ll salvage with a master’s kit if I’m feeling lucky.

for about 20-30g, you can buy a full set of exotic armor, prices have gone up though due to ectos going up in price by around 8-10s in the last week, along with some other crafting materials.

If you happened to level your armor or jewel crafting up to 400, it may be cheaper to craft your own stuff, which is what I did.

Not sure about WvW since I have yet to participate in it, but that’s how I got my stuff in PvE.

Q: About the new Dynamic Leveling "loot"

Seems to be the same to me.

I was getting level 80 loot in Queensdale before this patch, because I do remember getting some level 80 stuff a while back, and thinking to myself, “I thought we weren’t suppose to get level 80 loot here.”

Interesting thought….

One toon I play is a Mesmer, with no regenerative healing. If I am downed, I am dead unless another player steps in to help me.

I wonder if Anet realizes the fact that they just made it benifical to other players to let me die so they can to their daily……

It still counts if you revive someone from being downed. Unless the people around you don’t realize that. :X Then I guess they might let you die. :o

You don’t have to be in an actual group. I was on my ranger in Queensdale, and only had two after roaming around, so I got on my 80 warr, equipped a longbow, and went to pent/shelt.

I just spammed F1 in the crowds of mobs to create a fire field whenever I could, after two rounds of pent/shelt, I got the last 8 I needed.

I still think it’s slightly annoying, but doable. /shrug.

Why not to let us take off soulbound?

If you make them account bound, then players would just give their old equips to other characters on their account, so you’d still have rapid loss in value because you’d only be buying equipment once for all of your characters until they need lvl 80 gear. With soul binding, you have to buy the equips for each character, which creates more demand for them.

Not if it cost x amount of gems to make an item account bound. It would be handy for items like Infinite Light, and other similar items.

But then you’d have the same situation described above, but with high price items instead.

I honestly don’t think very many people are going to go out of there way to obtain multiple copies of an expensive weapon like Inifnite Light, so I don’t really see much harm in being able to use it on different characters on the same account.

Though, I think the option to make things account bound should only apply to certain items.

^ Of course, the keys words in the above is “I don’t think”, I could be very wrong in my assumptions. :P Though, I’ll never have any expensive items like that anyway, so none of this applies to me. :x

No longer able to ress in combat?

in gw1 there were missions that required some research especially for bonuses… yeah its gonna be harder for pugs, but common ppl, use wiki, watch some youtube videos… think about build you are using.

on the build thing i see the only problem… it is impossible (well maybe not impossible but hard) to change builds since stats are on armor. change this pls, or im gonna have to have 8 sets of armors for each character for each dungeon.

New Player here, and I do this, but the combat in gw2 is different than that of gw1. I was watching videos of AC explor even before I got the game, it was one thing reading “make sure to dodge Kholer’s attack” on guides, and watching video’s of it, but it still took me a few runs to get to the point where I could dodge it each time with no problem.

Watching videos and reading guides help, but I had to actually experience it myself with all the spells flying around, possible lag, and Kholer occasionally being out of my line of vision in order to get it down.

AC is the only dungeon I’ve been in so far, I’m level 80, but I’ve stayed away from dungeons since my 4th time in AC explor because I had a bad incident in path 1, lol.

Is this going to apply to story mode as well? New player here, I probably would have been in AC story forever under the new system, can’t comment on the rest because I haven’t did it yet.

Crafting exotic armor vs TP

Lambent.6375

Edit: Just saw above post, ty.

This is why I was wondering if my math was off.

This is what I got when I added up the material cost. (just typed out simple stuff in notepad and copypasted)
(based on current TP prices)
Chest plate – 22s 4c

chest lining (spool) 64 copper each = 1s 92copper + gossamer(1) = 7s 65

Insig

ecto(5) = 1g 41s 95copper

gossamer(5) = 38s 25c

spool (20) = 12s 8c

Powerful blood (5) = 51s 5c

= 2 gold 76s 2c

Crafting exotic armor vs TP

in Crafting

Lambent.6375

I’ve heard from a few people in game that it’s better to just buy the armor off of TP, but when I do the math it seems that it cost around 2.7-3 gold to craft a pair of zerker exotic heavy armor boots depending on current mat cost, but they cost around 3.3g for you to straight up buy them.

Maybe there is something I’m not accounting for? (not all that great at math)

Explain Level 80 Zones to me.

Well, I hope they do something to bring population back to these zones soon. Kind of disappointing to rush through mid level content because there are no other people around, and finally make it to the 70 – 80 areas only to see that those areas are dead as well. Though, in my experience so far they aren’t completely dead, there have been enough people around to do some events so far, but not a lot. This is in the straits of devastation, haven’t been to the other zones yet.

The dimensional anchor seems to randomly vanish when I’m using it to attack, and I’m unable to finish the quest. This has happened twice so far.

At first I thought I must have dropped it on accident, and it spawned back in its original location, but I looked all over the instance and couldn’t find it anywhere. Same thing happened today during my second try, I was working my way back down to the basement then the anchor up and vanished on me. Maybe it has something to do with me having a rifle equipped before I picked up the anchor. /shrug.
