And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
Okay, round 2, EU! Got an Occam’s weapon chest from the 49 ^^
Update:
So far for our NA We’ve got:
Lilith
Colesy
Xsquared
Xallever
? <—— could be you!
Usually don’t see posts here because I just get PMs in game.
Well excuse me for observing the formalities.
<3 no for the EU one I’d love the names up here so we can get started quicker. ILY Cotser!
While I think it’s awesome you are looking for fractal/dungeon buddies on the forums, I am curious to know if you even find any? I would love to, but I’m in NA, AND at work when I’m on the forums. Usually if I’m on the forums, I’m not in a position to be able to log on and play. I would think that many others are in a similar position.
I actually do, every time.
Usually don’t see posts here because I just get PMs in game.
@Chef <33333333333333
Come one come all! Time for an NA high level Fractal with Lilith and afterwards, a low level EU fractal with Lepton! I need me some party mates, so LESGO
Just wanted to say good luck to the amazing [Noob] mentors participating in the tournament this weekend. I wish i could have joined you, but the next tournament I’ll be forming an RP fashion team so, be prepared
Good luck and may the RNG be ever in your favor!
[LuPi] has quit the tournament because they are upset that I re-seeded the brackets after their opponent dropped out.
Hell, my team got a much tougher first pairing as a result of the reseed, but we’re totally still in even if we now might get knocked out first round! We’ll definitely show and try to bring our best to the table.
That said, if people want to drop out, that’s on them. They aren’t doing anyone favors by joining, they are just forfeiting the possibility of rewards over some notion of self-pride that ultimately doesn’t mean anything. Others are still going to compete for the rewards and the prestige regardless. If they were really mad at you or the tournament, they’d redouble their training, beat everyone, and then walk off at the end with the big rewards laughing all the way to the bank.
Still, Tree, I don’t think you should call them out or name/shame them. That’s uncool, and lowers you in many ways to their level. Just let them do what they want to do and keep going regardless. The rest of us are still 100% behind this.
Personally I think it’s totally absurd. [Noob] didn’t drop out when they were going to be facing rT. To think that a serious dungeon guild would leave over something so petty? They decided to throw a wrench into the tournament. Of course they deserve to be shamed.
Utterly pathetic.
I think this thread has gone full videogamermike.
Anyway I like playing my guardian. I’m not very good at guardian. When I miss an obvious wall placement or forget to slot SoA, I get blamed. But I have to say, my screw ups are usually always blamed on the necro, ranger, engi, or mesmer in the group. In that order. If none of those classes are there… then they’ll blame the guard ^^
Agreed. It’s indeed a pity that Gw2, like other games, has very static and predictable dungeons that make speedrunning very viable after a while, with so many walkthroughs and vids on wiki’s and youtube.
Every PvE content is predictable, due to it’s static nature. It’s an MMO, not an FPS multiplayer game.
I’m always hoping some game developer or other designes dungeons with randomized groups of mobs and bosses – to make it a different challenge every time.
One can hope …So you kill AC troll with every random pug whenever it spawns? Sure.
I think the idea of the OP is that things like ignoring the Troll don’t happen. I’m sure ANet didn’t create the Troll to be ignored and to be honest, it is quite a fun fight. Pugs used to stack and dps usually get killed and don’t want to do it for just a green and a blue so they just run pass him. I’m always down for killing the troll when it spawns.
Great for you, glad to hear it. I’m not sure why you keep trying to convince everyone of your moral superiority because you always kill an optional boss, because I don’t know a single person who cares.
People in this game and specifically on this forum do things for the challenge. Look at the solos, duos, naked runs, etc. The pug community might only be interested in speed (this is not my experience, though) but really… that’s not indicative of the rest of us. Meet me in an AC pug (well, okay, I never run AC because it’s not worth my time but let’s say I end up in your AC pug). Troll spawns. You say, let’s kill the troll. I say, sure, but why don’t we do it after the instance is over if the rest of our party mates aren’t interested, that way we are doing something we find fun without inconveniencing our party mates. However, if 2 people in a party say “let’s kill x” the rest will follow like the lemmings they are. Human nature, brah.
Haha why not, but congrats to anyone who gets it!
Also my Ele is doing things to Gabe with her eyes.
Literal Lupicus faceplant.
Get used to it. People don’t do the dungeon cause they enjoy it. They do it just for the gold behind it.
You will run, skip and spam 1 on white globes full of colored light that hides 5 players and a boss in it.
I’m not even sure why people like you keep commenting. It’s obvious that you guys don’t understand that not everyone plays for the same reasons and not everyone takes the game as a “MUST STRUGGLE FOR GOLDZ!44!!” and actually play it because they enjoy it.
Because its not the experience you get in game. More than 50% of the times, as soon as ANYTHING goes wrong or is not in the right amount of speed, people starts leaving the party or suggesting kick to the guy who took the wrong way or is playing with a different weap/skill set. I really don’t get the feeling people enjoying the dungeon. Actually, its hard to see that when most champions inside dungeons are just ignored.
I really wish what you say is true, but it only applies to a minority, at least at the time I’m on.
50% of the time… wow those statisitics.
I just don’t know what game you’re pugging in. When I pug and things go wrong people don’t leave or get angry. They laugh the first time, try again, if fail, reevaluate tactics, try again, if fail, try again, if fail, THEN the anger and frustration happens
You really need statistics to be perfectly accurate? its just a way of saying it anyway. You knew what I meant so I take your reply was kind of childish to be honest.
I don’t know what kind of rainbow game you play in. Yesterday I had 3 people left the party just because one guy had to travel from Hoelbrak, to LA, to BC, to enter Ascalon map to join in AC story mode while playing one of my lowbies alt. Not 1, but 3 players left in that period of time because, waiting for someone running to the dungeon is such a waste of time… the community in this game has its ups and down, but the trend generated by the meta is moving players to the down side.
No offense but if this is happening to you in multiple parties it might not be them.
I don’t ask for speed runners or anything so I don’t even screen for players of any caliber. My experience with pugging is exactly how I described.
And yes my statistics comment may have been childish but to put a number on a fact that you’re trying to use as proof of concept that is obviously inaccurate rather than saying “I’ve plugged 18 dungeons this week and 9 of them had x happen.” Just exudes hyperbole to me.
Empower is 10s, Blast is 20s
Empower’s reuse is 20s base, Blast is a combinations of blast finisher and fire fields reuses.
Empower locks the guardian into using staff which means he’s not taking better weapons like GS/S+F/Hammer(hammer does light fields which makes it hard to mid fight might stack) On top Empower has 3s cast time so really just hurts the guardian big time to use in combat.
Always default to fire fields if it’s an option, which it should be.
Yeah thought so, thanks! I mean I did have staff on me for running through the blossoms but I then switched it out for S+F.
Be my pug, baby.

Jeans … now that’s something I need for my norn thief! But more modernish pants for light classes would be a nice change, too. My only human (mesmer) is currently wearing a totally uninspired winged top/skirt/boots without gloves or shoulders, but then she’s got the added restriction that the armour needs to look ok on the green sylvari elementelist, too. Good thing I prefer playing dress-up with my Asura anyway
.
The rascal pants (medium) are wonderful if you dye them right. They’re like modern jeans.
Very pretty, Lilith. I really like the new outfit more than her former one (but then I know my taste isn’t representative anyway
).
Thanks, totally agree. I really didn’t like the flame kissed leggings or the incarnate bra. Lol. They just… I don’t know. Didn’t work well together. My only problem with the current outfit is the leggings. They’re the only pants I could find, so I tried to work the outfit around them to make like a sorcerer genie. But I would have preferred to just have some freaking jeans. Lol
Hey, I thought I’m taken by his guard? Boo!
Pretty sure he has dozens of ladies. Dozens.
secretly kidnaps your ele then
He’ll never notice.
buahaha stockholm’s immediately
Hey, I thought I’m taken by his guard? Boo!
Pretty sure he has dozens of ladies. Dozens.
Can I marry your EU ele?
She’s taken by Gabe’s Guardian (She’s secretly part of his harem)
But, maybe we could, share? ^.^
My EU Ele had a change of heart. I like it. What do you think?
(edited by Lilith Ajit.6173)
I think I prefer red. The colors just go so much better together and I agree with kirin. Thanks for the help all <3
Which one’s better? I think I prefer red.
Gotcha. I’m not sure then. There’s also the coat Kiel uses which is shorter than most coats (personal story reward)
Try strider armor in the gem store ^^
I’m not sure if you know this, but they are also extremely rare drops. You could run SE 50 times a day and not get it. It’s the luck of the draw. Rng!
Good luck in finding it though ^^ I personally only have the cof p1 recipe. However 3 weeks ago I did see the TA forward recipe drop for a party mate
I think most MMO gamers understand GW2 is pretty much a clusterkitten of spamming skills with as little coordination as possible and still be able to get the “job” in decent timing. This game is a boring DPS race no matter what, with a meta it’s just a boring fast DPS race. I don’t think many people care about this stupid tournament that proves nothing other than I have gud muscle memory.
Can’t wait to see your team compete. I’m sure you’ll rock our world with your clusterkitten of spamming skills with as little coordination as possible.
Oh snap what a Bright burn that was.
:D
I vote arah leggings personally
I’m rooting for… Noob, but I’m betting on rT. Haha
Sorry I just hate the starfish hair. Lol
I woulnd’t say hate, but i’m not a fan. My favorite is the shoulder length frizzy hair.
but, I’m not a fan of brahms chest either. It just doesn’t look right to me /shrug.
That’s also my favorite. I like the Braham’s chest but it’s tough to find leggings that fit it.
Sorry I just hate the starfish hair. Lol
I thought is was unique and neat looking. :P
Unlike human T3 heavy with starfish hair.
Buahaha <3
Honor of the waves with a couple Braham pieces might be good. Although vigil might go nicely too.
I love the second set.
I’m currently leveling my eu accounts fracs so just hit me up if ypu see “Sunshine Lepton” on.
God kitten $!/##$$
@$!!
I hate flight delays because people are freaking inept! Did general discussion non skip stack kittens get a job directing my god kitten plane today?! GODCAT THEM
I’d second their point if it had any basis in reality.
Let’s say my first ever fractal is a level 50. My final reward is from my prl. I get empyreal shards.
If your prl is up to 30+ you have at least 1 ring and most likely at least 20 pristines. Come the crap on guys.
/grumpylilith
How is our sentiments NOT based in reality? Removing the ring drop completly is an idea not based in reality if anything. It really is more of a non issue. Many players already think that the reward system is broken, and is horrible, removing a drop because fractal frequenters have multiple rings is just plain lunacy.
I’m saying the reality is that ring drops at 38 has absolutely no purpose. Literally no purpose. You gave a crappy reason, I gave the reason why it’s crappy. I’m grumpy and sick of people not seeing logic. Please. Please. See logic.
So why do ring drops at 38 have no purpose? It’s a reward, the ring can be equipped, it’s accountbound so even if that character can’t use it, an alt might be able to. I don’t see how my reasoning that those who run fractals often and getting multiple rings as a reward is any reason to remove them as drops. That is a very logical reason. Just because some people see rings dropped at level 38 having no purpose, and thus should remove them as a drop is not logical.
P.S. Cheer up. If you are in a grumpy mood, coming here on the forums isn’t going to help. It WILL cause you to be more grumpy and start throwing things. :P
They’re account bound. You only need 2 rings. If you do wvw, 4 rings. If you like to experiment I can see 10 rings (dps set, condi set, soldier set, healing set, variable set).
If you would rather have them drop at 30+ than say something better, I think you’re insane. If you need a ring, you can do 10s and 20s if they changed it. If you don’t want to do 10s and 20s, which take a fraction of the time, you have the token system for rings.
What the rings do in higher level fractals is they show Anet “well, they’re getting something!” And do nothing else for the player. If your prl is in the 30s, you have the rings. Only rings you might be missing are ones you can easily trade for pristines. Why do they need to take up a reward slot? Why not replace ring drops in high levels with accessories? Or amulets? Or anything else that would be more useful than my god kitten 10th Ettinbrand Ettinband.

I highly recommend Nevets. It’s a Saturday which means there’s no way I’d be able to be on. But maybe the next one.
If you get kicked that often for your mouth I have zero sympathy.
Don’t rework the lfg/kick system. Rework your attitude.
If someone in my party is being a kitty, I kick them out the window. Bye bye! See you later! Glhf!
Edit: if your comments are getting you kicked from multiple parties it’s very likely you and not them.

I’d go but even though I’m not a full member of DnT I’m pretty sure I can’t
Serious note: If I fractal and I see more than one guild member, I screen shot all account names. Also I screen if anything funky happens in chat. I’ve not once been kicked, but I am ready for it. I never do this for regular dungeons, but fractals just eat up so much time it’s foolish to not protect yourself. I also usually start my own group and instance. These things can prevent getting kicked and losing progress (unless anet wants me to lose progress)
Make sure to announce in team chat that you’ve screenshotted all party members as well and will be filing a ticket if anyone is kicked on the last fractal
I wouldn’t do this unless there starts to be problems in chat as it would likely cause tension in a potentially problem free group. And as for whether the screens matter, I’m not sure that’s the point. You want to be able to remember their names for reporting purposes but AL SO blocking purposes.
That’s a she, a fearless battle maiden :>
Ahh. With the eyes covered it’s near impossible to tell!
Very good.
I like the wind catcher. The other doesn’t stand out quite as much. He looks “Cool” with the wind at his back
She/her?
Wasn’t she a she?

On occasion I’ve had a PuG remark with surprise, “Oh, you’re all from the same guild!”
To which I reassure them, “Don’t worry, we’re not like those other men.”

Elitist mathematicians ! Nerf calculator exploit gear!
Since the last patch didn’t really change anything for me (and as it seems not for most of you either) there is a stranger somewhere inside me, madly laughing at the real me because of my vein effort.
After the patch the rng was really nice to me and rewarded me with a fractal short bow, which i didn’t have back then. And about two or three days later i was rewarded again! … With a fractal short bow again!
I can’t remember how often this happened to me. I’m doing fractals since almost over a year and i got about seven times the same fractal weapon.
However… after those generous rng rewards i mentioned i didn’t get anything ever again.
I do as many fractal runs as i can, mostly four runs a day, for every lvl-tier one. This really needs a new solution. And as the poster above me said, the relics-exchange is the most obvious one. I bump that.
Ya know, your veins put in a lot of effort keeping you alive.
