What is the difference in offensive and defensive? Aren’t the stats the same?

If you’re doing fractals it won’t matter because that will be for your agony resist infusions. Just remember that you cannot equip 2 of the same rings or accessories (so no 2 red rings of death or 2 magister field journal)

You can craft expensive infusions that find +4 power of whatever but they’re not all that worth it. Offensive slots can have a power precision etc infusion while defensive have toughness and stuff

As if damage needed to be nerfed anymore than it already has.

All they really had to do was add a tradeoff to the damage, like scholar runes have. The 7% damage is basically unconditional because of many options for might there are.

What they should have done was have it provide you damage based off of how much might you currently have. For example, 10+ stacks of might 5% damage, 20+ stacks of might 7% damage… etc.

Too many words and we know that reading is an exploit. No go.

I’d say if you’re not opposed to fractals, do fractals for the rings… much easier and less expensive than the laurels. That’s my opinion.

Also for backpiece, the quiver of a thousand arrows is a cheap one to make for berserker stats.

Hey folks! I’m interested in seeing all of your potential submissions but I feel like this may have fallen into the depths of the trash can during the tourney and such. Would anyone like me to extend the contest a few days or a week? Or do you think you wouldn’t get a chance for your submission anyway?

I love this idea and mentioned it in a previous thread about a month ago. At that price however, I’d love to see it also have unlimited hair and make over changes. But I’d still get it if it didn’t.

Lol yeah that math will not take more than an hour to determine… and I don’t think that’s the reason people thinking about participating want to know. Frankly, it’s very confusing. As Spoj said, most people want to know what the heck it is they’re signing up for.

As for accessibility and AR, it isn’t about the competition. There’s no contest in the world that would incite me to begin the grind that is ascended armor. Until 51+ is opened there is no need or reason to me, so I’m not going to waste my time farming dragonite. I’d rather gouge my eyes out. Anyway, the rules of the tourney may not be up for discussion, but I think that’s flawed. Even DnT considered suggestions. They didn’t talk down to people like they were children.

I have to agree with Fror.

The idea for a Fractal tournament is a good one. I myself would have loved to participate, but there is a stubborn lack of information, a very sad exclusion (level 50 fractals) and a very obvious lack of wanting to listen to legitimate concerns.

Personally, a tournament with no rules against exploiting or cheating is not a good one. Especially when these runs will be streamed… and for the sake of points it will be encouraged. That in itself seems suspect and not good.

Anyway again I wish you luck… but it just seems like this should have thought more about certain things and taken more into account.

I think that the cost of these is fine, considering that these are basically a net’s primary source of gem purchases. (Well, these and armors). I would not mind there being more ways to get then for those people who don’t like map completion, key farming, pvp, etc but I really can’t think of a good analog to it. Maybe every 5 dungeons completed (with hobby dungeon explorer) gets a charge? I dunno. I can’t really think of anything else.

This seems really awesome! Good on you guys for organizing it.

I don’t think I could fractal that long… so I’m out unless a team desperately needs me (Lol) and I don’t much like 50s due to the lack of attention you have to pay to the agony attacks given the amount of AR you have to run, but I will definitely watch with interest!

I just realised something. I have yet to see the changed dredge fractal. Haven’t got it even once since the last changes.
Good thing we have a dungeon mentor in the group for me I guess. But even independently from that I’m looking forward to maybe learning a few new things since I’ve only run fractals with basically the same people since the very beginning. Hope that doesn’t disqualify me now.

Well guys, we’re all noobs apparently. Our dungeon events don’t consist of 1111111111 and “FITE ME IRL – I mean WvW!” And we have no talent and killing dungeon bosses requires no talent and if I have 4 good friends who I want to guild up with we aren’t a guild.

Plus some of us have grammar which makes us auto fail.

I agree that naming and shaming is not great but we aren’t talking about a team that backed out because of personal reasons or they didn’t want to go against the powerhouse that is [Noob]. They backed out because they felt entitled to a free pass into the second round and 30g per teammate. Entitlement. And I find that pathetic and worthy of shame given that this tourney is in its most delicate place at the moment. They put it in jeopardy and makes our entire community look like entitled bhbs.

This was my first thought lol.

I like the idea but of course there would be issues with it (as with everything). I personally don’t want my display name up on a leader board for anything… I feel like it targets my account in a negative way, but I can see how some don’t mind that. So it would be nice to be able to opt out of it. Additionally, people who don’t play that much would not be able to get on it, but tbh I don’t think this is an actual problem, but maybe the real problem is that if you come in late to the game there’s no way to catch up even if you play your heart out. So maybe this could be solved with “gatherers of the month” or something similar.

Yep, I got LW at 500 (crafted one spinal blades backpiece already). Got enough blade shards too. So I’ll just buy the back skin.

The Dwayna back however, must be crafted as there is no other way to get that skin.

The dwayna thing I think you’re referring to is the wings and feathers of dwayna which were both super easy to get in pvp but enormously expensive in pve. These are bows with the blue body and the golden feathers that tumble off of them.

But I’d also say that you can make the quiver that let’s you choose stats, with vicious claws iirc. I made it last week on my alt account, so this still works.
