In my opinion it’s a troll post. It doesn’t even remotely resemble the the tone and use of the English language that we’ve seen before when ATM/FOO would post here, and it was the first post ever for that account. I could be wrong, but I believe an imposter got a lot of people riled up.

Since Anet has never acknowledged the server lag issue I have about zero hopes that they will do anything to fix it. I would expect that their solution will be to add more maps so they can spread the load of a server tier to several instances…but besides that i don t see them doing hardware or code fixes for this.

I’m not 100% since I can’t find the source but I think they said it was completely a hardware issue (on there side) and the only way to really fix it with out dropping population caps would be to throw money at it.

I knew that. If it makes you guys feel any better we hit Hills again when we saw Orange swords at Bay to force SoR to make a choice. It was an easy choice of course and we knew that. Dunno what to say about your spawn tower though. I think the commander just wanted to keep the pugs engaged as we didn’t have the numbers to do anything of significance at Hills or anywhere else. The tower dropping was good timing actually as EBG needed help so we went there.

Oh before I forget, I had a good chuckle on SoRBL last night watching what went down while we were there. SoR trebs our spawn tower from Hills, and when the wall is low JQ sets up Catas to finish the job. Before coming in SoR comes over and wipes JQ. While that’s happening we dump supply into the wall. So SoR sets up three trebs to work the wall down again. So the JQ zerg comes over and smashes right into the SoR zerg. As they’re clashing I see one single /shrug emote from an SoR player lol. Cracked me up.

We lost the tower in the end but it was fun to watch from the battlement. JQ’s goal was a BG tower (probably because we kitten ed you off for flipping your spawn tower) but nobody can say they don’t hit SoR. Then again, I think Joker from [Pro] was tagged up so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

From an outsiders impartial perspective, SoS might be your best best. Good peeps, they need NA and still have a decent amount of Oceanic from what I understand.

Yes they do, as do we on every map that MERC isn’t on during Oceanic, yesterday we were “Outnumbered” on BG BL with MERC on map till SoR’s NA logged out.

They are ticking 300 because they’ve logged from EU to NA held their T3 objectives meaning they can go on the offensive. It stays at 300 ppt because HiRE, TW et al can waypoint into a t3 keep or continue to push a map zerg onto our paper keeps in our home bl / 1/2 offensive bls (usually) that is why it stays at 300 ppt, numbers isn’t everything in WvW, SoR can survive its apparently “weak” timezones due to having t3 with map zergs inside, but if you look at ppt today for example, SoR’s NA pushed into oceanic and held 300-400 ppt. SEA rocks round we flip all their wps and bring them down to 95 ppt but that doesn’t last long as we spent all sea getting them there then bang, EU hits our SEA logs out SoR’s ppt goes back to 250+ and BG+JQ do not have the forces to keep pressure up that SoR has through KISS, IRON, LUN, TW and their massive EST NA presence so that our BG PST logs in after 4-6 hours of SoR being able to t3 their bl and thirds ready for NA.

Also our NA fights bloody hard anyone calling them weak, I’d love to see you push back from SoR’s EU/EST domination on days that HB/RK do not raid, SoR can’t deny that from EST NA they have all their maps covered. BT is our only 100% EST NA guild.

Irregardless of the forum barking, I don’t think anyone can deny that this was a pretty exciting match this week. The score difference between 1st and 2nd was 4k when the clock turned over into reset day at 12 midnight. I can’t remember a T1 (yeah I still use tiers big whoop wanna fight about it?) match ever being so close less than 24 hours to reset. Great fights this week to everyone involved and here’s to bags and brags next week.

A couple of nights ago we tried to get JQ to 2v1 SoR with us in EBG. It actually seemed to be happening a couple of times but every time we took Jerrifers then went to bang on the Keep, the JQ commander hit Durios, 3 different times. Anyhoo, my point is, 2v1s are going to happen, but not all the time, and they tend to be isolated to certain time zones on certain maps and on certain days depending on many factors. As others said earlier, BG dealt with a 2v1 every single night in EBG a couple of weeks ago. The TSYM commanders love to initiate it on EBG when they smell weakness, and many on JQ love to kill BG (SF and SG in particular – still, much love guys), so there it is.

Cry all you want but the fact remains that we’re all going to get 2v1’d at certain times, and it’s best to just try to deal with it as best you can and wait for it to pass. This goes for my team as well.

The fact is we created this issue as a whole when we asked Anet to turn off culling (Arguably a silly mechanic). We wanted to see the zergs coming at us in it’s entirety, not just the 20-30 who rendered. As a result of that the problem of skill lag (previously a non-issue) has reared its ugly head. You could shrink the server size in WvW to smaller a number or even cap the tier it wouldn’t help. The issue is Anet server side when 100+ people group up in the same location to fight whether 2 or 3 sided. Until they figure out a way to solve this we have to soldier on through it. This is not a tier 1 issue or a NA/EU issue this is a WvW issue across all servers when people have large scale fights (notably SM since its usually a good 3-way).

Telling people when they are is just silly, as is having this discussion in the recruitment section, this post is an issue on WvW not a recruitment. As such I request a mod to move this to the WvW discussion section thank you.

Actually, Habib, the programmer who worked on WvW, stated emphatically that skills lag has absolutely nothing to do with culling. Also, skill lag started to become an issue a good bit earlier than when culling was removed, dating back to around the time they introduced the server guesting system.

My opinion regarding skill lag is that Anet cut back on server overhead to save money and they’ve since been trying to optimize their game engine to work within those lowered limits. This is total speculation on my part though and not based on any facts.

From the perspective of large group WvW play, Power > Conditions from my experience, primarily due to a lot of condi removal around as well as tons of people running condi duration reduction food and runes.

Ahh yeah I forgot about that. Short term PvE events are always a variable.

I think some players are simply trying to wrap their head around the sudden drop off in participation from SoR yesterday, as it was pretty atypical. And it’s not just about the SEA timezone and internet issues. SoR numbers were lower than normal from early NA through early Oceanic when I went to bed. I can’t remember the last time SoR was outmanned in EB during late NA when I play, but even though I can’t see the buff anymore, I’m certain you were. EU was understandable. HB was out yesterday. But after that, what I personally witnessed was not the SoR I’m used to. So, outside of the claims of intentionally taking the foot off the gas, that leaves us with 1) random off night (we all have them); 2) TW busy with GvG; 3) burnout; 4) other unknown factors.

Whatever the reasons, it was not a normal day for the tier from what I saw.

The whole Shazbawt thing continues to confuse me. When I heard he was an Anet employee my jaw hit the floor, given what transpired in EB a couple nights in a row. I was there the first night, and while things were a bit odd after he tagged up, nothing was overly out of the ordinary other than having a silent commander who seemed to be struggling with his push-to-talk button on TS. I only read about the second night though, which I guess was a much larger affair.

Still, I don’t know if a pet name like that, while probably meant in jest, is very helpful.

Honestly, just use orbs. For the PVT build you are running, there aren’t many rune sets with much utility. Might as well just go for maxing stats instead.

This is my opinion as well. You’re already pretty tanky with full PVT, and you get a huge amount of stat allotment per Ruby Orb. I personally think you’d get more out of the damage Ruby Orbs will provide over time vs. the defense/utility of a Rune set. To each their own though.

It’s only ok when BG is ticking at 450+ during SEA while SoR is ticking at 50ppt.

Any other time BG isn’t ticking at highest ppt, it’s PvDoor.

I play SEA every day on my server and the ppt is never extremely unbalanced. At least not since we used to lead tier 1. Don’t try to defend what is obviously unbalanced.

That’s quite a statement considering what I stated happened today. SoR was ticking a 50 for quite a while, while BG was ticking over 400.

I drew a line for you just in case you require visual cues. Notice how two servers took one server’s PPT during Oce/Sea, and how one server took two server’s PPT in EU/Early NA. Maybe let that sink in when you reply to people commenting about pvdoor.

CA is a guild that formed on BG a bit over a month ago. It’s an international guild but most of their players are in the SEA timezone from what I understand.

Meh everyone has a right to speak their mind IMO, as long as it’s as respectful as possible. This is competition after all and emotions can run high and personalities can reach hulk-like proportions, video game or not. I know what Kaimick was getting at. I made a similar statement at the end of last week’s match thread. As long as I don’t have to read anymore lectures from certain SoR forum goers about pushing potential transfers to JQ for the greater good then I’m cool.

That tower has a gap over the gate, which AC operators can use to get a target inside, right about where those circles are hitting.

As much as I dislike SoR right now. Past 3 days have been BG doing this nonsense. You two servers need to go make your own tier. Yesterday, BG ticked almost 400 for 12 hours. It was silly.

“Okay we have too many Staff Eles” said nobody, ever. Staff Eles are one of those classes that you can stack onto a balanced zerg and make the zerg even stronger. With Water and Static Fields, good CC and good AE DPS Staff Eles offer a ton of support to the balanced zerg.

What proffesion isn’t seen in zergs the most but extremely useful to have?

This is a tough one, but I’m going to throw the Engineer out there. A well played and properly geared and specced Engi can really wreak some havoc on a zerg’s back lines using the Bomb kit, Throw Mine to strip boons and they have a huge water field when destructing the healing turret.

First of all im not an offical IRON spokesmen im just 1 of the players who “glitched” through the gate. I did it 3 times in about 2 min.

So this video shows pretty clearly what happened, and you can hear clearly on it that I am telling people to report the issue and to not attack anything inside, to jump out and get back to me.

The issue we had was that when at the water gate of any keep on EB you can’t drop siege, tried rams and golems but couldn’t drop anything for a large radius. So we just ‘facerubbed’ the gate down. We weren’t aware that it would cause people to teleport through the gate, if I were aware of it I wouldn’t have gone near it. We kept on the gate as by the time people starting porting through the gate was already significantly damaged and all of my members were leaving the keep if teleported to the other side.

We here in IRON don’t like exploiting / hacks and actively kick / report people who do resort to these lames ways of play. We prefer the head on approach of face vs zerg.

That being said, if you ever do have concerns with any member wearing an IRON tag feel free to give me a poke and talk about it.

Also, nice fights today in every borderland, and nice work from all the Rallians that hung out with us.

Was so happy I took SM for JQ. BG stole my first attempt, but then we ninjaed apaper SM. Still worked out well. I’m a rather rookie commander, so this was my first SM cap. LOL

Right on man. It’s always great when new commanders are willing to step up and lead and learn. I don’t have the time or tolerance for it, but I have a lot of respect for those that do, on all sides. Congrats on leading your first SM capture.

Acs don’t have LOS, so if you can see it, you can hit it.

That’s what I meant, just bad choice of words. I mean, is it getting a target via a viewing angle down the tunnel? From the placement of it in that video, I don’t see how that’s possible, even with eyefinity or window mode stretching. Maybe it is I’ve never tried it, nor would I as I think it’s stupid.
