so im playing soloque and my team is winning 370 – 60 but one of our teamate got dced or whatever suddenly we got redirected to lobby wtf! no reward chest or anything

i hate all this sync queuer bragging about their leaderboard standing when people around them know how they get it. and when u play with them in tpvp they play like bunch of spvper -_-

i have few advice for you, but first of all rank doesnt matter like literally in pvp i seen it so many times how low rank playe better than high rank players. anyway unto the advice.
- never fight someone you cant win. you see 2 players rushing to you, feel free to run and get other node instead.
- never ever double cap with someone unless you see opponent coming to fight for it.
- defined your role, if your a bunker then bunk if your a roamer then roam.
- Always fight on point meaning stay on the circle/node only leave it to dodge big attacks the go back in right away. unless your out gunned so better run away, live now fight later. your better for your team alive than dead.
- be flexible/resourcefull if your team has no bunker, try and bunk and never assume your team is going to do the right thing. " do it yourself if you want things to get done right!"

good update even though i dont play hotjoin, ithink it force players to play different roles and also try to win, instead of zerging around mindless try to get most points. now every one will share the glory and promotes team play.

Incentives is always the key! its a motivating factor that all human understands.

1. reward and progression
2. balance
3. game modes

now why did i choose that order, very simple even if your game is not that perfect with good enough incentives to play, players will still play it. when you have lots of players playing thats when you rolled out the balances because by this time your getting all the feedback from all your players new and old. then you add game modes to spice thing up or change a bit. still i want to say and please take a consideration.

1. remove hotjoin spvp for it award bad gameplay.

2. give solo and team arena the spectator just like the gw1 days where we can watch the gvg or in this case arena match.

3. removed current glory rank attain through spvp and award arena players rank base on their wins or their champion title.

lol so you want to be the toughest class and be able to dps -_- then why not roll a warrior for dps. thats what i did. i dont QQ in forums, i understand that a guardian must be different from a warrior or else what’s the point of making different class who does the same.

removed soloque leaderboard in arena. this is what they do to get top on leaderboards. and punish those who abuse it.

the only way you can do better in solo queing is by syncing que with your friends and then if you end up in the opposite group, you quit so that your other team member can win the vice versa. well thats what at least what others i know do. thats why they on the top of the solo que ladder. but in reality those players suck, which falls back how broken solo que is. the fact that you can leave match at the beggining because you dont like the make up of your party without penalty is really bad. it makes others who love this game quit. i used to play tpvp a lot before they called it arena. because your chance of winning is way higher if you play good. now even if you play well you will surely lose because someone left in your team or decided to afk. now i play soloque to do my dailies. win or lose i dont care aslong i finihs my dailies. (i still play to win though) but without high hopes.

its a buff that spawn on the bottom area of the map inside the cave. it allows whoever claim it get all points/nodes for their team. buff called tranquility.

I admit I am not good at 1v1 so I play WvW. Sorry to disappoint you. I’m keen on upgrading our towers than dueling.

Coming out of a tower to fight someone 1v1 is not wvw, but coming out to gank someone 3v1 is wvw.. I see, I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time how silly of me.

Yeah you are, it’s numbers game in WvW. Maybe you can try PvP arena or something. I’m sure they fill in equal numbers in there (not sure, I don’t do sPvP).

it will be nice that the legendaryy weapon you work your hardest to get can be shared with all your toon in the game. also with the ascended items coming pls make ascended gear/weapons tradable. or atleast make exotics upgradable to ascended.

I don’t believe anyone does tpvp for dailies. Those people with high achievement points should know better than to have a bad pvp record of doing tpvp to do daily than lose on purpose.

Accusing people of doing dailies and quitting in tpvp is stupid, nobody does that.

People just get upset you didn’t rez them or all yall got your kitten wooped or you guys ran away from the fight and left him to die so he gives up. Some people just have low anger issues or whatever its called when someone gets mad because you didn’t do something right.

I do my dailies in SoloQ, but i still play to win. and sad to say even though i want to win in every game i play, i dont care about my leaderboard score.

i just want the open world pvp, gvg, and mounts idea of the game.. thats how i invision gw2 when they first anounce it (charr vs human) open world pvp like the pvp servers of wow, where you always have to be alert cause you dont know if theres some high level player trying to kill you. GvG once of the best idea ANet came up with in Gw1. Mounts the ultimate trophy/cosmetic. comeon if you have a nice ride im sure you want to show it to people. tired of peeps dancing with thier legendary weapons as a way of showing off ( j/k i do that also)

i only have 1 suggestion and its what most MMO have and kinda a norm. “MOUNTS” i know Anet already thinkered of the idea. heres are some already ingame mounts in gw universe. all you need to do is make it happen. sell it on black lion, it will be the ultimate cosmetic.

Many players from our community asked us to create SoloQ to give players from hot join a next step up into how competitive PvP plays. For many people who only know the less structured mode of hot join this will be a training ground to develop them into competitive team players.

The best thing that you guys can do as our more advanced players is to help coach and guide these raw recruits with some strategy tips in team chat. Have patience with them. I’ve been playing this morning and have seen some amazing players really step up and do this. Our community never ceases to impress me with how awesome you all can be.

agree 100% but please can you give soloQ a requirement to enter like lvl/rank 10+ at least get thier gladiator title, so that coaching them inside the game wont be a bunch of gibberish to them when i tell them to get far, go mid or help home. its either they are ignoring me or they have no clue what im saying. or worse they have no idea what they are doing even if someone is coaching them.

Conquest does not encourage fun for many people because rather than combat it emphasizes certain build elements, like builds who can bunker and outlast, and the extreme builds that can debunker. Most importantly, you can win most team matches and still lose the game because conquest is about rotating players and neutralizing/capping nodes.

Other formats like capture the flag or death match emphasize other aspects of combat that tend to be fun for most people. Death match in particular.

Conquest also creates a lot of 1v1 scenarios, and this game is horribly balanced on 1v1. There’s no way a necro or ranger will kill a warrior. There’s no way a mesmer will 1v1 a competent thief. There’s no way an elementalist can win against a warrior or s/d thief or necro.

In death match classes which are not good in 1v1 don’t get penalized.

Would anyone mind giving a detailed explanation on what exactly makes a Bunker so valuable to a team, what to build for when going bunker, and why a team doesn’t simply run 5 bunkers and be done with it?

What is it that makes Rangers, Engineers, and Guardians such good bunkers compared to other classes? What separates them from eachother? What class makes the “best” bunker?

so Bunkers main job in pvp is to hold a point. bunkers dont have a lot of dps so a bunker must be good at CC, using defensive cooldowns and dodging. by this time your ally prefer a dps roamer should have come and assisted you if your outnumbered. if your a bunker and 1 dps or any class is trying to take your point from you and you feel you can stay there and not die. i just simply dont ask for any assistant.

your 2nd question, guardian are the most viable bunker in the game because of high toughness, lots of healing ability, CC and damage negation boons. also it gives stability to team and retaliation.

+1 for race change… i think this can be implemented and very possible.

dont think this will happen, though like a DUEL within pve world would be nice. the only chance you can do this ingame is make a pvp arena, or you and your firned on diff. server in wvw whos currently against each other. or que in tpvp and happens to be in both sepearate team. but right clicking someone and ask for a duel would be nice and will promote players to not just Pve all the time but also try out pvp aspects of the game ^^

+1 for capes make it a legendary with special effects too

I was playing a game but got disconected in the end because of the weather but we won, it gave me a chest wen i logged in but in the leaderboards it registered as a lose. should not registered as a lose coz i win the game.. not fair

hahaha adik ka king certified… sometimes the ladderboard doesnt update right away so you have to wait for your win/lose to register.

warrior i there with necro and spirit rangers as the most common class in solo que, at least you will see different kinds of warrior, bunker, 2 sword pressure warrior and hammer CC warrior. cant say bout the necro and ranger they all run same build atm.

hope legenary armor requires every peices with gift of exploration so that players will do explortion again and populate other area of the maps.

whenever i play solo que pvp i just dont expect i would win. i still play to win but lately i hop on my ele again so i can roam around kill people, so even if we lose i still have 150+ rank points accumulated lol

why do they think all [TRBO] members have legendaries? only half of us do and most has 2 or 3 legendaries lol. and yes we dont WvW, badges just magicly appear in our bags

The problem with players playing pvp is that in the conquest map there’s basicly two roles you can play a bunker/tank and a roamer/dps…. bunker are very defensive players with lil damage because its thier job to hold the points till the backup arrives/roamer/dps. if your a descent roamer you can kill a bunker before someone come and help him this is not impossible. bunkers are not OP. now as a roamer its up to you to judge if you see a bunker guarding an area, if you can kill him quick enough or you just going to waste your time when you could be helping other areas. same goes for bunker if they will stay guarding or help thier team by leaving their area and pray no one comes asoon as you leave. i play both roles and understand the difference in play styles.

i did tell them what to do, but since they played spvp prior in trying out tpvp or arena they just wont listen and want to zerg around and want to kill everyone they see by fighting off cap area. they basically have the mentality the they are good players if they can have lots of points. i played lots of solo que before and i think the pairing of players wasnt that bad. i fought with premade groups and still won many times with pugs. but since the update my experience becomes worst with pvp so i play to finish my pvp dailies and thats it.
