Tri-chest. Which requires three keys, for which you can also barter with Marjory.
And then there happen to be three weapons wielded by Marjory and her little helper Kashmere which have been found in the game data.Coincidence?
Three keys, three weapons…Tri-chest….Triforce…Half-Life 3 confirmed!
When I saw that Immobilize stacked, I realized things were going to be bad. No matter how many condition removals I run, I can’t get rid of it in a zerg. I think it would be better reclassified into the stuns, dazes and knockdowns category.
kitten they need to do something, I mean transferring to SF costs the same as a transfer to SoR
That’s because of the PvE population, not the WvW population. The achievements were good and we got a lot of people involved in prior weeks, but since then, I think everyone got their achievements and no longer care. Oh well.
You gotta make the op and title cooler bro, this is the bronze league! THIS IS THE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND ONE!
No QQ this week, have fun.
Edit: Sorry Madora its not you its me, ill have to post in the thread with the cool title from now on
Sorry dawg, I didn’t know what to put down so I kept it simple.
Awwwwww snaaaaap, here we go! Hope everyone’s got it together this week because it’s about to get reaaaalll!!!!
I mean, why not just get a Searing Cauldron (we found one in Orr, and there’s one in Ascalon as a commune point, I think) or build a huge Megalaser to just take out the tower with minimal risk? With any luck, we could take out that invasive weed too while we’re at it.
Oh well. I’ll wait and see.
We used it in Orr because nobody goes there except the Risen and we didn’t need to worry about collateral damage. Though, I wonder what happened to that super amazing golem we had during the story, the one that shot the laser.
It’s to ANet’s advantage to have a high gold-to-gem conversion because:
1. It suppresses gold farming by providing a better value to Players trying to buy gold
2. Reduces the ability to buy gems using in-game gold which results in more players buying gems with RL money.I imagine there’s some ceiling where it starts to become disadvantageous. Example: If you get 1,000,000 gold for a 100 gems then nobody would need to continue to buy gems to get gold because you get so much gold in the conversion. However if such a ridiculous conversion was in place then the economy would probably be in a horrible state due to inflation.
[/quote]
If it’s 1,000,000 gold, we run the risk of going all Diablo 3 and having a broken economy.
SF still welcomes new and slightly used players alike !!!
As of Nov.7th 2013, our usual que situation is as follows:
Fridays at reset and N/A prime time – expect ques up to 1-2 hours for EB, 5-20 minutes on remaining maps. This tends to die down around 7-8pm server time as our East Coast players start to log off.
Weekends and N/A prime time in general – EB has a small que around 5-15 minutes, remaining maps no que or a small que if we decide to focus on a map.
No ques whatsoever in off-peak times.
Except EB during prime time, but that’s another story.
the price of gem doesnt go up. its the gold value are going down.
its take 20s to buy 100 gems at release and now it take 7-8g to buy 100gems
unless anet make gold crazy hard to get , otherwise , gold price will continue to go down and it’ll be harder to buy any others items, not just gems.my prediction it’ll hit 10g =100gems soon and continue to like 100g =100gems
It seems people have forgotten what inflation is and I’ve got to hand it to GW 2 for allowing inflation and deflation into their economy. I mean, the company needs to make money somehow and if inflating the economy eventually gets people to buy into the system, well, so be it. If you guys want gold prices to go back down to 20 s = 100 gems, you need to convert gems into gold rather than vice versa. It’s simple, really.
Goodness man, 22 pieces of siege? You seriously wasted a lot of time, effort and supply that you didn’t need to waste if you knew you didn’t have that many people around at night to defend it. I mean, you should have used your common sense and realized that.
Like the game, like the way balance and collaboration is going now. Shows promise.
Dislike the story, and can’t wiat until Scarlet’s a thing of the past. Still find it funny that Mad King Thorn and his son are better developed lorewise in a single patch than Scarlet over the course of a year.
Even if it was just barely. A paragraph of dialog and that was it.
Join the club, they completely ripped the soul from Halloween, and I didn’t think that was possible.
I have actually thought about this….
This could be a race thing…
For example:
Charr… Making sort of a tribal dance taking a Deep breath and the Breathe Life onto/into a fallen.
Asura… Pick out some hight Tech gear to move/hover over the fallen bringing them back with chrystal energy…
Human… They could call upon any of the 6 gods tp help ressurect a fallen…
Norn… They could call their stotem animal to help ressurect a fallen…
Sylvari. They could make lifegiving vines come up from the ground providing Life for the fallen… Almost like in “Avatar”..
What do u Think?
Fix’d, but these are all good ideas.
The guy on the left of Scarlett looks more like a minotaur or an Axon (The demons near Shadow Behemoth) to me than the molten berserker if you ask me, I mean, look at the horns. Then you’ve got the Clockwork Nightmare on her right. I get the feeling we’re going to go to her secret base and find out the real secret behind everything…or maybe A-Net will leave us clues to find and when we do discover the real secret, it’ll be something big.
As for Abaddon, the human gods did disappear and the High Priestess of Lyssa even claims the gods themselves were consumed by the elder dragons. With the absence of their power, I’m sure any form of evil could return and begin corrupting the world.
I run with Deth, but I can also tell you about how we farmed CoSA and StaR constantly in our BL, in the water camp and in our bay most of the time,
>Neglecting to mention that they have to rally all the troops from EB to wipe 30 SF with 50 FC.
Classy.
Does the boon Protection work against siege damage? and just to make sure I do not think Retaliation works on siege damage? Please correct me if i’m wrong, I am curious and not a lot of people knew atleast about the Protection boon.
I think they only work against ACs and cannons, but that’s it.
Perma stun makes warriors ez mode and 80% of the Zerg. All I hear now is calls for hammer stun. Lol.
That’s the worse part about fighting a zerg mostly composed of warriors, whoever has more wins usually because of the aoe stunning. With massive damage to boot. and for whatever reason every single one of them takes forever to kill even with 20 people on them i can see why most zergs are composed of mostly warriors but it gets old.
Haven’t you guys heard of a thing called stability? You won’t get stunned and if you guys can burst them harder, watch them crumple like the ’zerk warriors they are.
Month-long, like Flame and Frost. Hopefully, we get quality too.
I was going to say, use the copper sickles rather than Ori. You don’t need to waste your money like that. Not only that, but you don’t need to get all the sigil or rune recipes because it’s the same recipe for each profession. Come on guys, work smarter, not harder.
I’m not going to rag on Anet like so many players do about every little thing, but I do dislike Scarlet, and if she ends up disappearing off the top of the tower in a puff of smoke again just as we’re about the fight her, it will be quite irritating. This seems like such an epic development in the story, and the perfect time for a monumental, climactic moment for her…and by that I mean her death.
Or, she unleashes a horror much much worse than an Elder Dragon while being mortally wounded. We snag her, drag her back to Lion’s Arch and beat the nectar out of her until she cracks.
Or, during our next encounter with her, the elder dragon Mordremoth comes crashing down out of the sky, landing directly on Scarlet, with an army of plant minions, killing her instantly, and thus allowing us to get back on track with the real lore.
I was thinking more sinister like a demon similar to the one in GW 1 (I forgot his name because I haven’t played the game). But, you can still opt for leaving her there to die/spiking her for the lulz.
I thought that quip was pretty funny because of the character, rather than the race.

I want to see that fight. WHO IS THE BIGGEST MARY SUE!?
Threarne
No, clearly it’s Patrick.
Fugg it, make siege permanent and indestructible, but it takes up a slot for a player.
Ele’s really useful, but I think most people find their role/play in group pretty boring compared to other classes, so we’ll be lucky to have 3-4 staffies in a zerg.
More like water field dispensers.
Engineers have several uses against zergs, but I find them hard to 1v1 people because they’re a mix of classes yet lack durability. An excellent second-line class, but don’t expect them to tank damage.
When a thread mentions this thread and things are conveniently necro’d. :p
Is anyone else noticing that whenever you run into a zerg about 80% of it is usually composed of warriors, guardians and necros.
Warriors making up a huge chunk of it, guardians following behind warriors and necros following behind guardians. Then the rest is like a small amount of everything else. Just wondering if anyone else is noticing this? I’m facing two of the zergiest servers atm so maybe thats why but idk.
It’s mostly warriors because warrior is the most-played class. Seems kind of obvious. Necros work well against other zergs, and guardians support huge groups. It makes sense to me.
We got shorthanded when Tybalt died and Trahearne lived during the battle of Claw Island via order of whisper story arc. I haven’t continued passed this yet, but I guess this is where the personal story took a dive …
Spoilers ahead… Sorry, but I couldn’t get the stupid spoiler tag to work. ><
This aside isn’t completely related to the topic at hand, but was I the only one who expected Zhaitan to zombify your order’s mentor for the player character to kill at some point? I thought it was even kinda hinted at when it was revealed that Zhaitan knew the whereabouts of your order’s HQ because he had turned “someone” who did. I mean, I know that there are plenty of other candidates out there in the wide, open world for him to get the information from, but having that presented to you so quickly after your mentor died at Claw Island just made it seem obvious. I was really disappointed when it didn’t happen.
I mean, I love Tybalt as much as the next guy, but imagine the drama and suspense of having to put him down, especially after the sacrifice he made.
There is an event like this in Bloodtide Coast. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kill_the_Risen_commander_to_avenge_Tybalt
i’m a customer, usually big company spend alot of money for know what customers want, i tell him for free
I’m also a customer, and bought a lot of Gems with money. So if I say things are ok the way they are, my opinion holds more weight. How? You give yours for free, while I pay Anet for mine.
This is how the business world works.
I bought A-Net stock because investing in gems seems to be a good idea. Since I am an investor in the company, don’t I have equal say if not more say than the rest of you?
Its a waste of time responding to them Cantur
It’s a waste of their time responding to Cantur, so who’s trolling who?

I ran into two or three of said patches wandering from Timberline Falls and Mount Maelstrom. I had no idea what they were because I was too busy mining platinum, but now I know. This isn’t an awful grind, it’s pretty easy if you ask me, just go look for the clusters.
Your first sentence confused me a bit, but I get the overall message. I don’t mind groups of players participating, it’s just that we need to be more spread out.
Certainly would give people incentive to protect dolyaks and to upgrade things…but I would double the WXP rewards.
Seems like people really don’t have a problem converting gold into gems, that’s all I have to say and I know it’s frustrating to get an answer like this, but just about everyone I’ve talked to does this. Perhaps they should have some items you can only buy with money, but keep them relatively inexpensive.
Nope, we should instead jump on the person to revive them.

I stopped caring when we had to fight robots that were shaped like Destroyers. Just kind of meh now because I do the LS to level characters.
Dude, you’re selling so fast, Mother Nature said ’Sllooooooowwww dowwwwwwwwnnnn"
Think about it. He’s got a cool sword, he’s in Destiny’s Edge. He can kick Logan’s butt. He even pushes around that one girl from flame and frost. Is there anything he can’t do?
He’s such a Mary Sue.
Logan’s such a Mary Sue, he’s got cool armor and a sword, plus his hair makes him incredibly handsome, more handsome than that stupid Charr. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was actually a vampire that sparkled in sunlight.
Yeah that has never happened to us whilst fighting Kaineng, only SF people do that.
Also I know we are all just super broken up about your use of emotes (well those of us who haven’t turned them off the first week we had the game), I for one, will be crying specifically about it tonight.
In other news, I hope to have more of you rage-PM me tonight it gives me a chuckle. I think I get more PMs from Kain than I do from anyone else.
You only get /shrug out of me.
I don’t really care to lose, but seriously, why duel someone only to gank them when you’re losing/lost? Throughout the months and months of playing GW2 WvWvW, I’ve only experienced this consistently this week. Sure there have been isolated situations in the past with other servers and i’m sure KN does this as well, just saying that this is a consistent scenario night in and night out and only with SF players (not all but most) that I’ve dueled in this match-up. AR players that I’ve dueled have yet to do this.
@King Amadaeus.8619, no I have not dueled your entire server, this is simply my impression of the ones I’ve met and have had acknowledged duels with. It goes to all servers, Kaineng included, don’t acknowledge a duel and proceed to gank the guy when you lose.
I don’t duel because I know the weaknesses of my class. The way I build is that I’m more of a second-line player, where the frontline guys take all the damage and I’m not being focused. Granted, I’m sure people will jump you because they see a downed friendly (This happened to me) and they rush in to help. I wouldn’t be surprised if half of the people ignore the down’s pleas of ’Don’t kill them, we’re dueling.’ and simply go for the easy kill with that group mentality. I’m just going to say it’s sheer numbers and bored people roaming/trolling.
I think that A-Net should learn from this Halloween of what not to do for a holiday event. I hope they do because if this same thing happens for Winter’s Day, expect most of the fan-base to quit the game.
in-game tag Oakvenom of SF
Had a nice time dueling you bro. You definitely know how to play your ranger. It was very hard to close the gap against you. we’ll have to try again some time. Stay classy
Oh yeah he is good
We dueled like 10 times…I only managed to down him 4 times I believe. You can tell he does his homework on the strengths of the ranger class. I left the duel thoroughly impressed, not only by his class, but his skill as well.
Edit:
After countless “acknowledged” (/bow) duels turned ugly by sore losers, I was convinced there were no classy players in SF. I haven’t had one duel (until last night against Oakvenom) where I didn’t get jumped and ganked by the losing guy/girl’s team mates after downing the other player. This has led me to start /point and /laugh or /dance on all downed opponents before stomping them in the open field. Not sure if these guys were just PvE pugs that came to get achievements (from some of their rankings, i doubt it) but none the less, I will stop the emotes for nowYeah that has never happened to us whilst fighting Kaineng, only SF people do that.
Also I know we are all just super broken up about your use of emotes (well those of us who haven’t turned them off the first week we had the game), I for one, will be crying specifically about it tonight.

I’m at 99% right now, I think, but I haven’t been crafting/salvaging seems how I lost quite a bit of money that way.
Since they put the same PvE kitten into WvW, it is still same.
Are the PvErs on your server that dumb ?
Maybe they like WvW, ever think about that?
Been dead for the past two weeks. We can keep hoping A-Net will take this lesson to heart and change things, but it seems unlikely.
Well, they saw the huge amount of inflation that began with Queen’s Gauntlet (Mainly from people farming claws) and decided to nerf drop rates. The only thing I use the LS for now is to level alts and AoE mobs for dem loot bags…
Well, we did advertise free ice to everyone, maybe that’s what drew them in?
Problem is, they ARE squishy. It’s just, in my opinion, a colossal waste of time.
Then keep bursting them down. They do die if you keep hitting them, like in WvW too.
You know what also sucks for this event? Underwater missile reflect that is extremely hard to see for classes that only have missile weapons.
Guess engineers are kind of screwed, huh?
