There is no actual value to the skins. You can’t sell them. Legendaries, by your definition are devalued now that any one can make a precursor and don’t have to rely on a infinitesimal drop.
At this point it is not even worth discussing with you anymore. Rarity and demand makes value. Value does not have to mean gold. Since you are after these skins they are obviously valuable to you, too.
So your true motivation was you don’t want anyone else to catch up, which goes against ANeT’s stated reason for the cap in the first place. Which of course with the current cap policy no one will.
You would not catch up with me with infinite daily AP, too. I have the ability to play every day and backup plans for broken computer or internet outages.

With 120 unlocks for 30k I would have everything the chests currently has left to offer me. But I guess for the effort you need to get 30k AP it would be a fair reward.

Just so you know what you think isn’t true for everyone either. And I’m sure that once people who start hitting the cap begin to realize that they are now limited they’d want the cap lifted. Probably more than don’t.
I am sure there are also more people who want free 1000 gold daily handed out than not even if it would ruin the economy.
I’ve reached the cap and am extremely thankful that there is a cap. It means that I don’t have to chase some infinite AP source if I want to remain competitive on the AP leaderboard.

Anet obviously considers it some sort of competition else your AP would not be visible to everyone and make a leaderboard for it. “this isn’t a competition” is entirely made up by a specific group of players. Noone is forcing you to play it as a competition, but currently it is set up in a way that lets you play it as a competition. And for quite a few people that is one of the main reason to play every day for hours.

Their description is nonsense. First of a lot of rare or less skins are missing from the unlocker. And on the other hand there are exotic items in there such as Mini Karka.
Achievement or loyality rewards should never be in there. Especially if the achievement is not historical yet such as the Mini Clockheart one.
The item color is not even a good criteria, there are green items worth thousands of gold and exotic items worth 2g. It means nothing.
Note: I am not suggesting to remove the thousand+ gold items, they serve as a fair jackpot.

No, they should have spent more effort on choosing and not randomly skip things for no good reason. If you go on account with nothing unlocked you can see what a mess of choices it currently is.
According to your own rules of achievements being worthy or not, you did not have the luck, dedication or persistence to get the scarlet items when they were available.

The thing is all the stuff I listed is still available on the trading post. Anet just discriminated randomly between what gets in and what not and it feels like it is stacked against what I already have unlocked.

If the account/wardrobe progression was guaranteed, then I would feel better about acquiring keys. Isn’t it just more RNG to get it to come up?
If it would be guaranteed (either getting one each key or being allowed to pick) it would be way too good considering the value of the contents.

You are wrong. Look up the definition of achievement, even trivial stuff such as killing ambient creatures can be considered an achievement. Trivial does not neccessarily contradict the meaning of achievement. Mind you I am not against adding (more) harder achievements you can be proud of, I suggested that many times. It is just Anet that chooses to keep adding 95%+ trivial achievements. There is definitely something wrong if Anet releases a living story episode (for more hardcore people this extends to raids, too) and you can complete everything in one evening.
Mini Karka (and some other possible unlocks) prove you wrong. It is an exotic worth 3k gold
So the “Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock” seems to give a chance for many of my most precious unlocks such as Mini Karka, Scythe Staff, Ghastly Grinning Shield and more. And overall I am ok with it since the chance to get them is relatively low (and expensive) unless you are a veteran with all the cheap stuff unlocked already.
But now my real gripe is that it does not contain a lot of the items I am still missing such as Decorative Molten Jetpack, Zephyr Rucksack Skin, Scarlet’s Rainbow, Scarlet’s Kiss, Monocle plus more I cannot think of right now. I think items like the invisible boots should also be added to it.

Raids are still about the same apart from some small tweaks and profession balances/meta changes.
It depends how much you already have unlocked. For my account it is about 1 in 100 chance to get a specific item. For new accounts it is probably 1 in over 1000.
You can get them from the guranteed wardrobe unlock item that drops about 3-5 times per 25 keys. It will unlock one random unlock you do not already have from a wide list. Preview the item to see which one you can still get.

Can you unlock “Mini Mushroom Stomper” in the API? It is currently only available via the auto unlock from the new black lion chest item, so it might skip the whitelisting process.
You can get them now via the wardrobe unlock from black lion chests. Chance becomes higher as you have more stuff collected already.
Really should be able to buy Brews you may have missed. The thing is for sale at any time so being punished for spending that gold on it in June or something by having to wait even longer is silly.
The whole point of the collection is to encourage you to login at least once per month for a year

I already collected 20 gift of battles, all 18 pieces of triumphant armor and all hero weapon skins (minus 4 from WvW tournaments) since the introduction of reward tracks, so getting a single reward track done for a gift of battle is not too muc to ask for. I did NOT use the exp booster for faster reward track.

Legendary should denote mastering the game at the highest level in all aspects – including PVE, PVP, WvW, Raids, Fractals – even stuff like jumping puzzles. Creating a legendary should involve reaching the pinnacle in all of these game modes. Otherwise, what’s the point?
Tying it exclusively to raids was a mistake.
You are contradicting yourself. First of you only need to raid for the 150 insights and the collection. The rest is the usual PVE grind (tokens, t6 mats, clovers etc) any legendary consists of.
Second you say it should involve reaching the pinnacle of the game modes. Raiding is currently by far the most difficult, measureable goal, the game has to offer.
Fractals are a joke, lvl 100 is easier than 50 pre HoT. Open world is a joke. WvW is mainly dead karma train and zergs trading kills. PvP has a tiny competitive playerbase, so you most of the time you just meet achievement hunters or reward track farmers.
Downstate would be useless without the health bonus
Server pride is useless, the community behind a server is what matters. On dead t7 servers there are no people so no community either. So it is just a waste of server resources for anet to keep dead servers alive.
Glad you found it, I am always worried about bugs that make unlocks vanish from account after noticing a random dye (4s value one) missing from my collection one day. So far I did not encounter such a bug again.
It could also be because greatswords are forged more often than staves. If more people forge greatswords the chance for a skin to appear increases.
Also the scythe is probably more sought after than the greatsaw.
The thing is Anet is really inconsistent with black lion sets, sometimes they only stay for 2 weeks at 1 ticket, but 6 or 8 weeks happened also.
I wonder why Anet can not just tell us how long the BLTC sets are going to stay at 1 ticket in the patchnotes.
Will they leave at the end of Halloween or stay for longer? Sadly it says nowhere if these are intended to be Halloween exclusive skins.
It is an estimate, we have someone in our guild who gets countless precursors per month from mystic forge but I never saw him report a Halloween skin. So I am quite sure it is way more rare.
There is no way the scythe skin for example would stay at 4k if it would drop with the same chance as the staff precursor.
Of course they could not drop at all anymore, but I think Anet would have told us about it.
But I can confirm that aetherskins still drop from mystic forge. It would be weird if they removed halloween skins but left aetherblade in.

I guess I’m the only one who’s happy with it. The less attention they pay to EU the better chance we can quietly revert back to the way it was pre-linking.
Then the NA kids can have all the shiny new “fixes” and EU can carry on as before.
I dont want that we go back to before server linking, I want Anet to go a step further and merge servers instead of linking.
It is dead in tier 1, tier 1 at the moment is like tier 3 or 4 a year ago

They are more rare than precursors, at least a whole magnitude (eg at least 10 times more rare) of more rare. If that wouldnt be the case the price would have dropped to 100g or less alrady considering how many precursors get pulled out per day.
