Also on a side note, before this kind of set design, the AP set was like the best set to go for and it also showed status, pride, dedication, investment. Now with the release of this kind of armors, the AP set is completely redundant, unrewarding and completely misses the mark on what it’s supposed to be..and that’s “the best thing out there to RIGHTFULLY brag about and show that you literally did everything this game has to offer for multiple years”. That’s sad. I wonder how many of u will ever get to have 30-35k AP before you quit this game, or in how many years. And no, i am not QQing because i might have the set done. I am actually 1k behind getting the pants, so i am still far away from finishing it considering they added a backpack also.

Hell..even some BL skins look better then what should be the testament of your playtime in GW2…stuff you buy instantly from the gemshop with close to no effort at all besides a few clicks.

I agree they will need to rework the AP armors. They take much more effort than the legendary armor and should be at least on par in terms of looks and effects if not even be a quality level above legendary (such as mythic or apex maybe)

If you spent 600 USD on primers alone you cannot be poor. Plus primers are a waste of gems. I cannot think of any food where it is profitable to use primers.

So why should Anet provide permanent ones if they will make more money in the long run with consumable ones?

It is not possible to implement with the current dye system.
It simply allows one color per channel by the RGB system (256³ possible dyes)

Law of large numbers definitely does not apply at 100k bags if there are drops that have around 1 in 100k or lower chance.
It would barely be enough to verify items with 1 in 10k chance

bauble infusions are one (one red, one blue) per account from tribulation mode achievements, they arent buyable. People who have duplicates cheated the customer support

It was obviously intended, same with condi cleanse on going downed. Otherwise really heavy damage spikes would make you skip downed state.

Only the legendary insights are from raids, the rest is from HoT maps and the usual stuff you need for legendaries such as t6 mats and clovers.
It will cost seveeral thousand gold to craft in addition to 150 legendary insights per set.

The original WvW developers probably had good reasons to never implement cannon blueprints, mortar blueprintss and repair hammers.

Cant take that much timing if I get finished with the thief elite several times per evening.

I still see people looking for only 4 necroes and druid for t4 fracs. So nothing changed?

It is a terrible change, it makes rezzing even harder in this aoe spam madness.
Not to mention the thief elite skill which skips your downstate and some other skills are even more OP now.

People who fractal all the time have far too many research pages.

Incorrect in my case. I do fractals daily and never get a single page because I only do T4. Now that research pages are actually valuable in that they are needed to buy ascended chests, pages should be awarded for the same fractal in each tier. Even though I could use a couple more pages to be able to buy a chest, no way am I going to go do a T1. Screw that!

Be glad, all the stuff you can buy for pages is way overpriced

Not everyone belongs in legendary – it should be hard to get into.

GW2 is the most grindy MMO on the market currently. At any moment you can lose 6+ months work due to “balance”. A single set of gear costs 1000’s of gold and respeccing it costs casual players months of play time.

It is much easier to gear up in WoW or SWTOR or similar MMO’s. Unless you have 4000+ hours in GW2 or a lot of money to burn prepare to spend months and months grinding for gear that could be rendered useless at any moment.

This argument is silly because light armor guardians exist in other games as well. Templars from Dragon Age wear robes. Mages (Arcane Warriors) have heavy armor specifically made for them in the first game. If Anet thinks making new armor sets is too time consuming, allowing each class to wear any weight armor is an easy way out for a while.

But this is not other games.

It is entirely possible to get full ascended as a casual player. And even if you are too lazy for ascended armor, exotic armor is good enough for raids. Ascended weapons and trinkets give the best boost.

I think you can afford to play those ~8 hours in WvW

Another idea to get easy class wins: When you are winning (at around 400-450pts, depending on your loading speeds) a match relog to the class where you need the class wins. That way you can play on your best class and get these titles.

Just soloQ it in unranked. Game forces you into 50/50 winrate anyway. You will barely save any time by paying people to carry you and probably spend thousands of gold.

200 wins * 9 classes * 50% winrate = 2800 matches to play
Even if your carry service would have 100% winrate it would be 1400 matches. So you are looking at minimum 10000 gold if they want fair payment for their time, since even at 100% winrate you are looking at minimum 450 hours.

Maybe he crafted ascended instead of using mystic forge.
Commander recipes alone cost in the area of 50g each because they only drop from specific noxious pods (like 10% of all pods available on DS only).
So he could easily have spent 300g on recipes alone

It does not punish you for anything.
If anything daily AP punish you for doing many of the more difficult/time consuming/expensive achievements because the effort vs reward is completly out of whack.
It is such a joke that getting legendary division in PvP is only worth half a daily. Or all those collections which only give 3 AP. Or getting 5 legendary items is only worth 25 points There are a lot of examples.

I wish all crafting materials and trophies would be valuable. There are too many “junk” materials barely worth more than a few copper/silver

the dps loss is not worth mentioning considering most of the time you finish raid bosses with minutes to spare

It will mainly hit guild groups. Public blobs rarely have any boon sharing mesmers (at least on the server I play on)
