Yes, it affects everybody because Anet would have to dedicate resources to implement this. It is probably hard to implement it while also making sure you get no reward chests.
They are over 90k accounts at gw2efficiency. That is almost 1/4 of the HoT sales. I would think its representative of people who play the game for a long time.
74% (38,5% even at least 5) of the gw2efficiency users with more than 4k hours played have more than 1 legendary. I think almost everyone builds several legendaries if they play long enough.
With 10 legendaries I am barely in the top 2000 of legendaries on gw2efficiency.
I think Chak Eggs are easy to get. I already have 107 of them, sometimes you get 5 or even 10 eggs at once from the Chak Gerent meta chest. Plus a chance to loot them from the caches.
No changes required at all. You will easily have 90 eggs (to make all 3 sets) by the time we can finally build it. If anything reclaimed metal plate and auric bars need to be changed because they are a joke (as in too easy to only require 30) to get.

Sadly people still have their non earned illustrious legend titles as far as I can tell. Moving it to historic didnt fix the issue.
So when can we expect a fix for this?

If anet is going to create a sink at least make it worth while… the tittle is meh and so is the AP. Personally its not worth the 1000g. Its like they don’t even care.

I have to wonder why you didn’t wait the 10 days (each) for the discount. You would have eventually caught up on the measly 5 AP. Of course, with 30 accounts, I suppose Gold is no object.
I did not buy the Carnival weapons, I bought the patronage. They are different things from the same NPC.
At the moment Carnival weapons have no collection, so I will not spend 1360g (with vouchers = 160 days time gate) on them.

If anything they should add a way to trade ascended armor and weapon boxes from fractals for gold relics or weapons. I am drowning in ascended items

If you buy the Carnival Greatsword with Festival Vouchers, it is significantly cheaper than other 2h weapons. See screenshot. Might become an issue in 7 days when people collected 10 vouchers.

It’s still way out of proportion. Assuming you do all of your fractal dailies for a year, you might be able to get 150 decorations…
150 sounds fair, it is a guild hall after all. All guild members are supposed to work toward it, not a one man show.

You are usually the first person to claim, that making an object less rare (or just obtainable in any way, after the previous way is no longer available) devalues the item, and thus should never happen. Why this sudden change of heart?
There is a difference between the rarity we have in the game so far and straight up limiting it to 5 people per season. There is no hardcap on people being able to get Chak Egg Sack, legendary items or Lightbringers Staff.
And considering that armor sets seems to be the hardest thing to implement to the game for Anet, it is also a waste of resources to limit it to a handful of players per season.
Thats like saying each legendary should only be allowed to be build 5 times per month by the total playerbase, after that you are out of luck because you didnt grind fast enough and have to start over next month (season).
I have no data on how many people achieve legendary division each season, but it is probably 1% or less even before it becoming harder in Season 5. So if you gate it behind having legendary in the ongoing season + have enough tickets, it would be still the rarest armor in the game without putting hard caps on it.
Most of those sound like really good ideas for achievements. I think that the AP awarded on a lot of them is too high (500AP for collecting all of the core legendary skins, on top of the 210 AP from getting all 21 legendary skins, on top of 60*3 = 180 AP from the 60 collections would be almost 1,000 AP alone for legendary collecting). But most of them that award 20-25 AP I think are in a good spot. Good ideas here, supported
Yes, the values are high but reflect the amount of effort to get them. If Anet would start awarding fair AP to all achievements we might actually reach 39/42k AP before the 4th expansion of the game.

We can remove the Primordus weapon collection and the Gold Fractal weapon skin collection of the suggestion list now. I am just disappointed that the gold fractal weapon collection turned out to be so lame and only worth 10 AP for a lot of effort. Anet is really stingy with AP again
The Primordus weapon collection awards the destroyer scythe but only 3 AP despite the huge amount of resources involved — should be at least 10 AP also.
I also have a new suggestion for an achievement:
Name: Carnival Weapon collector
Prerequisites: None
Goal: Collect all 16 Carnival weapon skins.
Reward: 25 AP, Title: “Ringmaster”, maybe a fitting backpack skin.
The carnival weapons cost tons of gold, so it would be a good opportunity to incentivize this gold sink.

I am also very sad that it has no collections or AP tied to it in any way. Greatly reduces the incentive for me to go for building it.
It makes new legendaries quite a bit less legendary. They are just even more glorified exotic skins now.
I dont think the vulnerable to chill makes a difference. The trash mobs die so fast already if you play berserker stats. They seem to have low health/toughness. Even the champions die fast with the exception of the jade armor boss

I think the poison trail instability totally ruined fractals. It is even less fun than the old stabilities.

Why is there no collection for buying the circus weapons? I need a little incentive to buy them all. Would be a great gold sink for the game, too. Maybe 25 AP and a title? Ringmaster maybe?
It seems like people still have their Illustrious Legend title without having actually earned it? When will it be fixed? The correct data for everyone should be there considering you can view previous season standins in the API.
On the topic of drinkable things from fractals. Now that we have infinite potions, can we get something to do with the off/def/mob potions that still drop from daily chests?

The legendary has no collections. Only recipes. They are in the 4th tab of the NPC.
I think the loot is very good considering each mob can be looted by upto 50 people.
My problem is not how the loot is aquired, it’s the quantity and quality of it. I think having 50 people loot the same mob and get equal loot is great and one of the best features of GW2, but it is spoilt by the amount of worthless feeling drops you can get.
If you improve the quality then quality becomes standard and feels worthless again. Scarcity creates value.
If you reduce quantity you need to make sure not everyone gets loot. If you improve quality you have the risk of making quality feel standard and it soon feels worthless again.

In other games if you kill a boss only a handful of people even get loot at all. That makes the loot of course more interesting in itself. But Anet decided against it because they dont want people to compete for loot in PVE.
Yes, I think the living world is dead or at least only exists if you view the game in a time lapse. But that is something I can live with, until AIs can create and improve games, it will never be possible to make enough content for everyone (while also being profitable, maybe if Anet would hire thousands of additional devs it could work).
But other than liking the crown pavillon and its rewards, I also have a special reason to want it back. It is impossible to be #1 of AP in the long run if you do not have all historic achievements and Liadri with 8 orbs happens to be the only one I miss. First time it was around I was too bad to get it and 2nd time I focussed on playing Wildstar since I assumed this would be a yearly event anyway. I guess it was my fault for putting too much trust into Anet. They specifically said that Queen’s Gauntlet would be a recurring event with Liadri coming back every time.
For permanent achievements I only have 3 things left to do: 250k WvW kills, 5/10k pvp wins and sclerite weapon collection left

I don’t understand the 1k fee to make a pvp prestige related lengendary. I really don’t. When your most limiting factor for a pvp backpiece is a pve requirement then you’ve lost me. Also the argument that PvE does it goes not up, should the pvp legendary be buyable on the trading post?
1k gold is still 1k less than the PvE backpack. So Anet was generous
I am aware that they probably need to change some stuff, but it should be easier than creating completly new content. The content is there, the rewards are there. It just needs to be adjusted to work for the current game build.
And the demand for this also seems to be there considering how often people ask for old festival content to reappear. The OP even promised Anet to buy 100€ of additional gems if they bring it back.
I don’t understand why they don’t make events like this seasonal. I want dragon bash to come back.
Only Anet knows. I think it is a waste to not use this kind of content as fillers during content draughts. It would give many people something to do.

Me and others are unable to join WvW at the moment, it says WvW is unavailable while matchups are being updated. Yet people who are already in WvW are still playing.
We cannot join eotm either.

Daily AP should be removed from the game. Dailies are the perversion of achievement in GW2.
You have only speculated what might happen because other raiding MMOs have had this issue. Other Raiding MMOs had an expiration date on when their raid content becomes obsolete, GW2 does not.
This is a valid point, however considering how raiding works in other MMOs GW2 will have entirely different issues compared to them. Let’s take a look at WoW for example. With every new expansion they release a new set of raids and they try to spread the minority of players intrested in them. Since the number of raids could be considered a constant they don’t need to worry about trying to spread the playerbase too thin.
Right now with every new expansion the old raids become obsolete. If that wasn’t the case and they would raise every raid’s level they ever released to the maximum they would have an insane amount of raids people could run. I doubt even WoW’s raiding population would be enough to support that. Not even half of it.
But this is the case we have in GW2. No matter how many raids we will have in the future it should be expected the old raids to be still runned, because the nature of GW2 doesn’t make them obsolete. The number of raids isn’t a constant here, however the playerbase running them could be. If we don’t make changes to existing raids to make more people intrested at the same time we get new raids , sooner or later the playerbase won’t be able to support the amount if raids we will have.
Considering a good raid group will clear all 3 raid wings in less than 2 hours it will take at least 18 more raid wings for this to even become a problem. I for one would welcome having enough raids to have one to clear each day of the week.
Considering how powerful these tactivators are, these upgrades should be expensive. It is an additional incentive to defend your objectives.
It is also more satisfying to reset an object with expensive upgrades. Since upgrading structures to t3 costs no gold anymore, removing expensive tactivators is the main motivation to flip it now.

sPvP/tPvP is for small scale pvp
there is a non rng method to obtain gold weapons, but 10 gold relics is ridiculous with current drop rates.
I’m sitting on 45 golden relics and don’t know what to do with them after having all golden skins. I agree the drop rate of golden fractal weapons is way too high.
Sounds like you got lucky. I think I have 2 golden fractal skins, 7 or 8 relics and the choice chest from doing 75-100 fractals.
Since you are a fan of rng in games like GW2 everything is perfectly fine for you in this case.
I am not really complaining, I just stated you got overly lucky
95% of the game is so easy a caveman could do it by keeping 1 key pressed to win.
Only 1% is actually challenging (not hard), the 3 raids.
Hopefully future content becomes harder

I get taffy everyday it seems from all the items that break down bloodstone dust, dragonite ore, and fragments. So there won’t be a lack of taffy, just no where near as abundant as candy corn.
There would be a lack of taffy. I got like 10 taffy so far from the bloodstone, dragonite and fragments eaters. Thats barely anything considering how much time passed since their introduction.
