When you leave a dungeon while dead, you appear where you were when you entered the dungeon, which may or may not be at the dungeon entrance. And while loading screens may not be a problem for uber computers, it’s still an annoyance and makes this functionality you speak of more of a pain than it is worth. Once you get back into the dungeon, if your team is in combat you can’t use WPs, and thus have to run to them. There are very few encounters that could feasibly be zerged in this way.

Furthermore, I don’t think it’s a fair solution to say that you can’t enter a dungeon while your team is in combat. What if I just start a dungeon and haven’t joined yet, but a couple people from my team are fighting the Spider Queen from AC without me? Does that mean I am disallowed from joining, helping, and being rewarded? I don’t think your proposal is a fair solution, and addresses a problem I’d hardly consider a problem at all.

Thats a team spirit problem if people start before everyone is there, not fault of the game.

1) True, but thats not always a problem.
2) Not if other people are waiting infront dungeon instance willing to rezz.
3) loading screens are no problem for people with SSD

This exploit would be easy to fix by disallowing to rejoin the dungeon while someone inside the dungeon is in combat mode.

You should hold with the respawn changes until you got the additional Waypoints ready…

Turning off res rushing was a programatic thing to do. As a designer, I spent the entirety of this last patch’s development tuning and ensuring encounters could be accomplished without res rushing.
When you see the patch notes, you’ll be more aware of how much work went into making the anti res-rushing fix not a punishment or an increase in difficuly, but rather a solution to a problem.

I hope you dont forget the exploit people leaving the dungeon when dead, rezzing outside and then getting back in.

I have a question. Ignoring that you were adamantly against selling spots, and flopped to the profit bandwagon after finding out you were wrong for singling out the people doing it; how do you manage to get past the ‘last player gets kicked from dungeon if all the other members leave’?

The game, for some odd reason, recognizes solo began instances, and group began instances differently. If you start a dungeon without a party, then invite someone to party, you’re kicked. Likewise (from my experience) if you start a dungeon with a group, and the rest leave, you are also kicked.

Why should I leave the business to other people if I can do it myself and make nice profits while doing it. It would be nice if it would be fixed, but as long as it works I will probably do it.

Mad moon shields look like a good investment. Only cost like 20% of their crafting costs.

Played to 33 as a guardian with no agony resist, could have gone further but I gave up 0 agony.

You must be doing something wrong. I got 500+ fractals done, a lot of them with pugs from gw2lfg and never got kicked ever.
And I played upto lvl 33 with no agony res.

Well I asked other people if they could see the metallic effect when using that bug and they all said no.
How do you reproduce the leak? I have it happening randomly but it stops as soon as I use another skill.

Yes, the game is not pretty enough. Art style is nice, graphics are not. Even if I use supersampling and 25% downsampling the graphics are still bad. We need MSAA so we can force SGSSAA if we wish.

Look at the snowflake exploiters, most of them played for months.

That being said, I seriously doubt anyone is getting banned for kicking griefers.

If people get banned for silly reasons like kicking griefers, then yes they should get all money for the game and gems refunded.

As I said its not only for better performance, but also for better anti aliasing, which is quite frankly horrible compared to what other games offer.

Snowflake exploiters got refunds too without lawyers, so why shouldnt we if what you say is true?

Whatever, if they would ban me because I kick someone who wants to leech a spot I will request a refund and anet looses a lot of money, so will the other people in my guild if it happens.
I dont let us get blackmailed by people who want to grief our service.

GW2 will get DX11 when they have nothing better to work on. It’s low priority, I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Considering working on the engine is probably a seperate team I dont see how it can be a low priority for a game released in late 2012.

Typically its a guild run. 4 people leave at endboss to invite 4 costumers. Money gets divided by 5 for everyone who did the run.

Back in 2007 an Anet employe promised that GW2 will have an DX10 mode. Betas passed, several month after release passed and the game still only got a DX9 mode.
Now DX10 is outdated for a while already and even old games like WoW received a DX11 mode. So when will GW2 will get a DX11 mode? It would be really helpful to use MSAA instead of FXAA for example, since GW2 uses deferred lightning.

As I said, my guild sells Arah path 4 slots before endboss. We advertise the costs on map chat and gw2lfg. We let people join to see endboss is ready to get killed and ask them to fork over the money. If they suddenly dont want to pay they get removed from the group again.

If you bug the metallic effect its only displays for you (client side bug). So other people only see the Sunrise effect.

I never heared of this. If people advertise the slot costs 15g and people refuse to pay, they can either go leave and make their own group or should expect to get kicked. Pretty funny if people feel entitled to a free ride at endboss.

Imo its griefing if you join a group knowing you agreed to pay 15g then refuse to pay and not the other way.

I find 1-5 a day.

There is no grinding in gw2.

Of course there’s always a possibility of scam because it’s no official game system and it shouldn’t be. (Paying half before and half after the service should be safer for both parties)

My guild tried the half half system, sadly it turns out people leave and block you instead of paying 2nd half. So we charge 100% upfront now.

I dont see how its illegal to kick you from a group if you refuse to pay the money. At least if its one of the services where you join before endboss and not stay for the whole run.
Anet could and probably should fix selling dungeon slots, but as long as its a fun way to make good money people will do it.

How is 15g too much? I make 5-10g a hour farming dungeons. So selling 90min-120min of good play for 15g isnt too much.

Too bad this stupid Aegis effect always ruins the look.

Pretty much random stuff, lvl 80 rare greatswords and hammers, lvl 76-80 exotic hammers, random exotic items I found with little to no value.

I finished farming for my T3 cultural today and here are some pictures.

The bug still exist. Example: I get ~200 damage at 25 AR, while someone else got ~600 with 30 AR at lvl 28. Health about the same.

If you want to nerf our defensive skills, buff our offensive skills in return. A warrior can easily do 2-3x the damage of a guardian, while having more health, even in the most offensive builds.

Mixed, but the precursor came out of 3x 76 exotics and 1x lvl 80 exotic if I remember right.

Every weapon does horrible damage when you aren’t built for damage. So yes, that would be why you think scepter is bad. It isn’t.

If you build for damage you need the reflects and shields even more. Guardians have the lowest base health of the game (among elementalists).

It does horrible damage. But maybe thats because I have 4% crit setup usually.

I got 1394 hours played on my guardian. I dont even do 3k hits with greatsword auto attack unless I use a crit setup.

Its allowed to sell dungeon slots. My guild sells Arah path 4 slots for 15g each frequently.

Guardians need these walls and shields because they suck at ranged combat.

Changing would be redicilous. Way to go to make the game easier every patch. Most people of our 240 man guild are very bored by the lack of challanging content.

Because its a MMO, if I want to solo stuff I play single player games.

Are you sure they are? Are only new ones not soul-bound or ALL?
Because I still have a (never used anyhow) Major Rune of the Monk/ Noble, both soul-bound. And I received a new Superior Rune of the Monk (combined 4 major runes in the Mystic Forge), that is soul-bound, too.

I used the mystic toilet, costed me about 780g in total.

Its not a bug. Transmuted items will always get the quality of the item you take the stats from.

So my guild did the event and the worm died before it finished spawning. Noone got event constribution and the chest because of it. Please make it invulnerable before it finished spawning.

All rare and exotic dungeon specific runes are account bound.

So to the people who dont believe people pay money for this. My guild group does arah path 4 with no skipping, exploiting, portal cannon or stealth kits in less than 90min to endboss.
We tried this twice now and managed to sell slots quick and fast for 12.5-15g each, so a healthy profit for everyone.
Now I still dont like it and I think it should be fixed, but I guess my guild group will try to do this 1-2 times a day for quick and easy profit.
