I think this might just make the whole thing worse. Now we’re going to have zergs that hunt people instead of towers and it’s basically just going to be a big gang kitten to get more points.
I don’t really have any ideas for solutions atm, but I imagine someone out there probably does.
What’s wrong with this? Not everyone plays WvW to flip keeps and towers.
Easy to fix: Give tons of points for flipping or defending stuff but few for kills.
Kill trading is pointless if you can joikittenerg and get 50-100 or more kill credits per hour.
If people waste supplies on purpose its griefplay and should be send with screenshots to the support. We have that case on German servers regulary and the GMs will act if enough screenshots reach the costumer support.
Zergs are good. I prefer leading a zerg of 50-80 people in WvW than a small group.
I hate WvW guilds who think they are worth more than a large zerg. A good amount of commanders on our server are zerg commanders and it works well. We are currently top 5 of EU servers.

What about people without guilds? You can be a good WvW commander without having any serious guild.
I am against requirering influence or something similiar for commander tag. Most commanders on our server are leading the mass of randoms with teamspeak on our server without making use of guilds.
They should sell an upgrade for commander for like 5k honor badges. It would make you a High commander and also allow you to remove badly placed siege equipmnet from the field or unclaim keeps from guilds with no buffs running.
Also give priority in the queue for commanders, its annoying if theres 1h+ queue and no commander can join the field
It was never instant die if you get hit by it. My guardian could easily tank it with berserker armor before AC rework.
You are doing it wrong, we managed every path in under 30min killing everything with a group who didnt enter AC after rework.
sorry but 478 yellows is nothing. come back when you used 4k.
I think fear should be removed from the game, it ruins any kind of heroic feeling if you fight against an enemy with fear.
On the german forums is an official response saying max players per zone got reduced to combat lag.

I like ambient killer, even if I am not having it as a daily I kill all ambient stuff I come across to level weapon achievements.
AC is still short and easy, less than 30min per path even if you kill everything you come across.
I agree, getting full exotics is too easy, yet there are many lvl 80s who are too lazy to get even one character into full exotic.
I’m pretty sure explorable dungeons were advertised as hardcore dungeon content for coordinated groups, not casual pugs.
I am suprised too. Dungeons in this game are bad joke difficulty wise. WAY TOO EASY. Rarely ever any strategy needed except going full DPS and pressing V every now and then.
All dungeons are too easy, even the new AC
119g is too cheap, it should be 300g or more.
One hits are all easily dodgeable so they are a good mechanic to punish lazy players.
Well I got about 1700h clocked, I am an active pve player with legendary but never saw a key dropping. Only got them from map completions and personal story so far.
Now that AC was needlessly ruined, what’s a quick and easy dungeon to grind gold out of? I used to run all three paths of AC in about 30-40mins for about 4g each run, but now it’s taking that long to just run one path.
Talk about a phenomenal failure… Sorry, but huge, ridiculously long lasting and ridiculously powerful poison AOE does not make the spider queen more fun. Glitched out Stalkers who get long periods of invulnerability are not engaging. Cave troll fearing you off a cliff, then resetting is not more challenging.
Each and every single one of these things is plain old arbitrary. It’s like it wasn’t even tested – just plugged in and go!
I will mention that the boss fights are a lot more entertaining, now… when they work. Ghost Eater is buggier than that one scene in Indiana Jones.
Anyway, where are you guys going to grind cash now?
You must be bad, even if you kill all silver dropping bosses and troll it takes less than 30min per path.
Same problem exists in WvW stone mist castle fights when theres zerg vs zerg vs zerg with 50+ people each. Its horrible.
Its too easy now. Tried it with 5 people who never tried after revamp and it was too easy.
I feel sorry for the people who searched for it so long and now it is worth less than 100g and tanking.
Someone just got it from Shadow Behemoth on my server. Mystery solved.
Anything that makes the game more challanging is welcome by me. It is too easy still.
Anything would be better than the current situation.
Why cant we get amulets and accessories by doing fractals? I dont want to do the stupid laurel stuff.
I am from Elonareach [DE]. Last night was fun, because frenchmen thought they were smart when they took 2 of our t3 towers of us. We took sweet revenge with an army of mesmers and golems (both alphas and omegas) and destroyed their t3 fortress and 2 t3 towers in the eternal battlegrounds.
Yes, stealth is OP in wvw. Often I see a small group of like 3 thieves play tricks on larger groups of like 15 people for extended periods of time because of stealth rezzing and stealth stomping. So even if you kill a thiev they often succeed in stealth stomping or stealth rezzing. Now while its partially a l2p issue, wvw is with randoms and so you have little influence on the people you play with.
This is why an inspect feature needs to be added. People like those deserve to be kicked.
Lol, most guilds which deserve being called a guild have everything maxed for months already, so I dont understand the fuss.
If your guild is too small just buy influence from the NPC.
Digging up a 4 month old thread, still no progress on this front xD
anet works slower than officials in europe lol
I fail to see how implementing a better squad management (UI, invite, etc) takes more than like 25 development hours including testing.
Its really annoying squad only works with selfinvite, why cant I invite players myself?
Why can’t you just let the matter be, fight the boss with 4 people, most likely defeat him and carry on.
Or, even better, kick him, and invite somebody else to join youI don’t much appreciate being used in such a way, and find the behavior rude to just shuffle the responsibility off on someone else while sitting on the sideline making other people carry the load. Especially when you’re fighting a boss who has an enrage mechanic at lower health, increasing his difficulty.
Typically we do end up kicking the person and restarting the final boss, and completing it. I’ve been kicked as well for not participating when people do those things, and that’s fine – that’s their choice, and they got the votes. It could have been a premade group with the intention of doing that, and I was just the fifth man who wasn’t informed. Just dust myself off and move on.Point being, if you don’t like the behavior, don’t support it. I don’t foresee us being able to stop the behavior from a developer perspective, but I’m a designer and not a coder.
EDIT
They’re not going to be able to catch everything. It’s the nature of software testing, even my software testing professor has taught me that. The content was probably a lot more bugged before its current state. It can only get better with more iterations, when people spot something that was not caught before.
I think it’s also important to note that we learn from our mistakes and try to pay extra attention to things that have been exploited when we build new content. Our testing pass and development of salvageable crafted items will certainly get a bit more attention for all our new content being built as a result.
Mistakes happen, but I’ve always held the ideal that you only truly fail at something if you keep making the same mistake over and over.
Hopefully you punished the people who kicked you for not taking part in an exploit
Normalize all races to max norn size in pvp, problem solved.
In Guild Wars 1, you had instanced areas, not persistent areas. It makes all the difference in the world. Because enemies never spawned in Guild Wars 1, they couldn’t patrol. Naturally, in instances in Guild Wars 2, like dungeons, enemies do patrol.
But when you add in the respawn rate in the open world with what a patrol would do (hint: people already complain about the respawn rate in certain areas), then patrols are much harder to predict.
At any rate, there are some creatures that patrol, including the giants in Orr.
It doesnt. GW2 was advertised as a living, breathing world. It isnt. Just a few scripted events here and there, nowhere near enough to give that feeling.
The meta events in this game are terribly boring. I am pretty sure you can solo every dragon meta event if you bring enough time and money for waypoint costs.
If anything dungeons must become harder, they are a whole new tier of boredom if you run them more than once.
I prefer my Norn with juggernaut. Metallic effect looks awsome on t3.
You cannot be sure of anything in life except death.
I am still very annoyed by this. If I ask people why they dont try harder to win I usually get the answer, that the game will end sooner and will give them less glory points.
Solution: reduce glory and rank point reward by 50% while your team is not leading the match.
Robert you should transfer to european servers, so people can meet you there, too.
I live in Germany, and I can tell you its looking worse every year.
So is everyone making a new thread with boring text and screenshots for their legendary now? You arent even first to have 4 legendaries.
Atleast make some more interesting screenshots than just showing the mystic toilet.
(edited by Malediktus.9250)
Lol, european people are getting poorer at a rapid rate thanks to incompetent politicians. Only a small percentage is profiting from EU. So I doubt there is a major purchasing power difference between US and EU.
Even t3 armor is cheap. 119g for the most prestigious armor? A bargain.
Question: On Arah path 4 there is a bonus event with several legendary giants after highpriestess Simin.
Does finishing it give a chest?
Final Rest looks ugly, so I would probably salvage it or use it in the mystic forge if I would find it.
