I was in a pug AC run last night and this War had 3 legendaries(2h and two axes). He also had the rest of the high gold items like full t3,commander title, and Infused Quiver. The best part was he got kill more then the level 43 Ranger and was the worse in the group, but he thought he was the best in the group trying to talk down to people making excuses why he was dying so much.If you have a Legendary weapon that’s cool, but don’t act like you are the top dog at the game.
I really hope the next set of legendaries that come out are harder to get and at lest take some skill to get, same with the commander title.
Skillless trading post players own most of the legendaries. Does not suprise me.
Not going to work.
You can easily spend 1000g on mystic forge without getting a precursor, unless you mean buying it from TP.
Oh I use the TP common to sell all drops which sell for more than merchant +15%.
Some legendaries don’t required lodestones. Wait till you have to make one that required lodestones, there’s no way you can farm that even if you want to.
You can farm any lodestone required for a legendary, even if it takes lets say 1000 runs of CoE. But precursor is impossible to farm, pure luck or give in to manipulators on TP.

Your idea is no scavenger hunt, it would be just another crafting recipe which would take anet 3 hours tops to implement.
And I dont really care how many legendaries I have and when I get one. Eventually I will get one and know I earned it fair and square.
X = (4 * Rare weapon value)* 1000 – 150 exotic rare weapon value- ( X * what ever the drop rate is for the Large chests/ the amount of precursors the chest can drop) – (X * What ever the drop rate is from mobs/ the amount of the precursor the mob can drop)
If you assumed The value of a rare great sword was .25G and the value of a exotic greatsword at 2.5G the estimated true value would be <625G. With so many moving parts including existing supply and demand its difficult to pin down a fair market value on any item.
They are worth less, because dozens of people get precursors by pure luck from drops, chests or first try mystic forges and in result dont have to worry about the theoretical mystic forge value.
Upgrades always get lost when you throw equipment into the mystic forge. Also fractal relicts are extremly easy to get. I got 17 stacks in my bank and nothing to do with them.
Not really, I have no luck with mystic forge or drop luck anywhere. I already wasted at least 750g on getting dawn or dusk or colossus out of the mystic forge.
You could just of had bought them off the Tp for that amount of money …
I am not going to pay hundreds of gold for a weapon (precursor) which does not even come with an unique skin.
I will rather keep wasting hundreds of gold on the mystic toilet gambling than rewarding market manipulators or lucky people.
Most I would pay for a precursor is 100g, maybe 200g for the more demanded ones like dusk and dawn.
But always when prices are low (eg Karka event) I had no gold avaible. At the start of the game I had other goals than legendaries.

ITT: People who want everything handed to them with no effort at all.
Buying gold takes effort folks. You’ve heard it here.
The sooner players like you realize that players like me want longer quest chains requiring more effort than just farming or buying gold, the sooner we can move past silly comments like the above.
The fact that players had legendaries in the first month speaks volumes as to how ridiculous and unlegendary the entire process is.
It took me 4 months of legit play to finish my legendary. Farming gold is not legendary. I’m sorry, it’s not. Any system that allows a player to buy their way to the top, be it cosmetic or not, is terrible.
Right, let’s give everyone one long quest to get their legendary so that everyone will run around with one.
You happy about that?
I actually wouldnt mind that as long as the quest would take a reasonable time (100h+) and has a big difficulty (harder than soloing giganticus lupicus).
Sadly all the “end game” goals are tied to wealth. T3 cultural armors, legendary weapons, a lot of mystic forge recipe exotics (Mjolnir, Infinite Light and many others), collecting miniatures and more.
You are unlucky, I get almost every time at least some t5 poison and 1-3 t6 poison. You cannot judge drops from just one run.

Market manipulators should be permanently banned, no excuses.
The trading post in Guild Wars 2 is a prime example, why a free market wont work out well in the long run. Rich get richer and the people who actually play the game get poorer.
I got 1200h+ played and no legendary yet, but it doesnt bother me much since I dont exploit or rip other peoples off on the trading post.
Exactly that, if you take the easy route you dont deserve any respect. Where is the achievement if you just buy your way there.
Sorry, I cant respect your legendaries if you used “trading” to “earn” them.
I dont see this game becoming an esport. I find the 3 daily games for the achievement a chore already because its so boring and unbalanced.
(edited by Malediktus.9250)
I wouldnt mind trinity back, but I also wouldnt mind if Anet would improve the current combat system. Its indeed very boring and its hard to find any challange after you mastered giganticus lupicus and priestess of dwayna
Looks like someone is relisting all colossus at around 450g lol. Buy offers still less than 300g.
Well if someone is willing to sell a colossus for a decent price contact me. I am tired of the mystic toilet, wasted 750g on lvl 80 rares with no luck.
Not going to happen because it would mess up your personal story.
I started to add all people who I see selling spots to my block list, to make sure I never group up with them by mistake.
colossus went up from sub 200 to 450g in like 2 weeks, alone last night it raised from 330g to 450g. The market manipulators need to be permanently banned. It makes many people quit the game.
you sir are a complete and uter kitten kitten you want the smart people to get banned because you were to stupid to invest in something god idiots always want something Go study up in economics
Its not smart, its asocial to do this. But I guess I will also have to blame Anet for designing faulty mechanics which give asocial people so much power over the economy (of rare items).
Yesterday I saw a dead bot teleporting around, it was hilarious.
This story does not sound very believeable to me. If you believe you got incorrectly banned, please contact the costumer support.

Remember this is a fantasy MMO and not a capitalists wet dream.
I see no reason why dungeons should be a business opportunity outside of the tradeable loot.

The colossus went from 330g to 450g in one night. Two weeks ago it was under 200g. This is redicilous.
The only way they are going to fix it is to put some decent loot/drop rates on mobs .
Considering Anet does nothing but nerf loot/drop rates I don’t see that happening anytime in the near (or far off for that matter) future.
This is a symptom not the underlying problem.
People skip everything they can for a reason. That reason is, they are tired of doing boring gameplay (dumb-as-rocks mobs with kittentons of HP) for pretty much no reward. Which is not limited to just dungeons btw.
So what kind of new loot would you suggest? More silver drops? Increases inflation. More t6, rare and exotic drops? Will reduce their relative value. It would end up being the same as now.
Please remove the stupid combat slowdown. There is no logical reason why you are automatically “walking” when you happen to be in combat mode. Especially when you are full health and have no conditions on you.
Either remove it or change it to a gradual slowdown depending on your remaining health.
Its a stupid mechanic which should have no place in competive pvp modus. Remove it.
Especially finishers shouldnt work while in stealth.

I would not risk it.
the problem still persists
@Malediktus:You do realize that the gold people get for trading Gems into gold doesn’t come from the game? And u realize that this Gold is GENERATED additionally to the money “earned” by players doing events, dungeons and dropped by monsters?
Bying Gold for Gems is not taking ingame gold out of the Game A ALL. It is always an addition to the Gold ingame. Both is harming the ingame economy the same way, except that one is unwanted (botting. goldselling) for a reason, and the other might be unintended (buying gold via gems, Arenanet might have not been aware of some peoples behavior not knowing limits).
But to stay on Topic:
Can´t come with further more reasons. I just don’t feel like i want to play. And one big reason is that playing feels like work being incredibly unrewarding. So i am mostly just reading from now on. The game used to be great, and i hope it will be again…… soon.
Your logic is flawed. More people are buying gems for gold than selling gems for gold, or gem price wouldnt go up. Additionally buying gems has 30% tax. So a lot of money is leaving the economy.
I got 10-12k health more than in glascannon setup and a good amount of toughness, too. I think its worth it more than doing crits.
So Eternity appeared on TP, but i cannot leave buy offers. What is bugged this time?
I am playing power vit toughness guardian.
Giganticus Lupicus isnt that hard. I can easily stay alive while the rest of my group wiped and runs back.
Gems to Gold doesnt add money to the economy. It even takes 30% money out of the economy, because you get 30% less gold for your gems, than people have to pay to get gems
Seems like you’re just mad you don’t get a easy ride because you can’t afford it. If I wanted something bad, I’d pay for it. 15g isn’t a lot.
Lol, 15g is not much to me. I got 1200h /played so I got plenty of money. Its just that people dont deserve tokens and achievements if they cant beat a dungeon.
I am only getting about 20% of what I used to get on the krait fractal. Did 5+ runs to make sure I am getting less.
Ever thought the other fractals might be too easy? I think grawl is just fine, but some other fractals way too easy.
No we dont need heroes and henchmen.
Gold shouldnt be able to buy you success. If you are too bad to beat a dungeon, you dont deserve the rewards no matter what.
Found another seller, look screenshot from gw2lfg
Yes, they invite 4 people right before the last boss, so you only participate like 5min of the whole dungeon run.
I mostly run fractals so being the kind soul that i am i just choose to stay behind and solo all the mobs if my party decides to skip – That way if anything goes Pete Tong while i’m doing my solo run someone either has to come back and rezz me, continue with 4, or ( in a few cases) kick me and start over.
None of these bother me to be honest, feels good to know that you have wasted someone’s time who is trying to speed run a dungeon – As stated, people run Dungeons how they want, the way i want is killing mobs – so thats how i do, if the remainder of the party dont agree they know where to go.
My biggest gripe with this is that speed running is now the ‘norm’ – often i will get inside a dungeon and just see my party run past mobs with no forewarning, i then usually recieve a torrent of a abuse for staying and killing the mobs… I’m sorry, but isnt this how they are SUPPOSED to be run? Rather than joining and just assuming that everyone has the patience of a 2 year old child.
If you wanna speed run, do it with other people who want to, if those cant be found thats tough, you run it the proper way or not at all.
As stated, the fact that speed running is now the norm irritates me to the very core, this is why i do my upmost to irritate those ‘skippers’ the best i can.
I agree with you. I am often doing the same.
Why does this bother you? You do not have to participate, it does not constrain you in any way, why do you want to restrict the freedom of others?
Don’t try to impose your vision of “proper gameplay” on everyone else.
It devalues Dungeon Master title.
Also if this is ok you might as well make dungeon tokens tradeable.
