It was pretty a pretty small LS episode, even if you do the achievements you can easily do it in one evening. I do not have any guides for this, but finished most achievements already. Replayability is zero and any map specific reward is a huge grind because there is almost no variation on the map. Definitely preferred SW and DT over this.
Did not try the fractal or pvp map yet
Also very disappointed that we do not have any progress on the legendary armor

I’m still 0 for 21…. really? 7 weeks of this….. it’s why I don’t play this game now, except on weekly reset.

Getting a set of Ley Stone armor was never hard, even before they made it easier with the April 2016 patch (in worst case rushing 18 times through the story mode, so like 40 hours in total). So it looks obvious to me, that you only get a single piece of ascended armor from it.
Actually I am even suprised that the Envoy I collection gives a free set of ascended armor.

Just go to character selection screen if there is no queue on map. Should be quicker than bleeding out if you have a SolidStateDisk.
Make sure to be in a town to save waypoint cost to resurrect yourself for free.

I disagree with all your suggestions. Legendary Insights should stay 1 per boss per week in Forsaken Thicket raid only.
The masteries sound pretty stupid, too. Just water down the game even more.

Considering population balance is a bad joke at the moment especially in EU below your precious T1 zergfest OP, no, let’s not have a poll wasting a full week of my time and the time of the 2000 more people that play WvW.

Which by your maths would be 2000*604800s = 1,209,600,000s wasted.
Which is a staggering 38.35 years by your math!!

Siege disablers have:

  • a supply cost
  • a radius, so space the siege apart and they won’t all be hit
  • a proximity requirement, so the person using them is likely to be murdered

I don’t know how many times I’ve cleaned up after a 50-man mag zerg attacked something to see 10-12 rams all on top of each other. Building that close together should have risks.

It is already discouraged because all sorts of aoe and sieges can destroy the rams easier if you stack them.

k-trainers get mad when their siege is disabled by 1 defender.. how dare that 1 guy keep wasting supplies and disabling siege when he is going to lose the tower anyway. how dare he lower my karma per hour and slow down the train.. shame shame shame

1 person shouldnt be able to waste the time of 50. If you manage to use 2 siege disablers you wasted 50*2*35s = 3500s. So 70 seconds of your time wasted almost 1 hour of other peoples time. Its not like siege wars is already the most boring and tedious part of WvW, things like siege disablers and shield baubles make it even more boring.
All I am asking is a poll about this, then we can see what the majority thinks.

I guess I give you a scenario. You’re a roamer, you see 5000 JQ coming to bay and your home BL is dead and you know the ktrain is in EB. You can buy your server those precious few moments to disable, whisper the EB commander for help and give your server time to respond.

My question is why remove the siege disablers?

One player should not have that much impact. Map jumping needs to be discouraged.

If you ask me WvW was a lot better before things such as WvW masteries and siege disablers were introduced. The downfall of the game mode started with it.

I doubt if a siege disablers poll would succeed right now, especially with the addition of repair hammers and cannon blueprints in open field.

Repair hammers are mostly useful where you would be unable to hit with siege disablers anyway?
Not that I support repair hammers or cannons, I think both are stupid ideas.

I am very unhappy with bringing it back. Ruined the efforts of veteran players like me, because it is much easier to get now and also no longer a symbol of being a veteran pvp player.

And yet players had all or parts of this armor, previously, without ever setting foot in PvP. Gotta love the old Achievement Chests.

I am pretty sure the achievement point chests gave skins from paid tournament reward chests and not from specific rank x chests. So Tribal armor was not amongst what you could get from achievement point chests. Same with skins like Infinite Light which came from r70 chests (or at the end you could trade glory for cultural armor to salvage for r70 tokens and try your luck with a pvp mystic forge recipe)

Hey guess what? I’ve got great news for you! You get to keep all that stuff that you earned! No one is taking anything away from you. At. All.

Yes, the prestige was taken away. The only reason to use these armors because they look ugly.
Having something noone can get anymore is a great value.

I can confirm the achievement chests gave the PvP exclusive armor. I know because I got Stalwart armor from them, and this was back when I seldom played PvP (certainly not enough to get those sets in any case).

Aside from that, the fact that you’re admitting you’d wear armor you don’t like just because of the prestige associated with it is kinda sad. As mentioned before, there are plenty of other ways to show prestige than through an armor set you hate, such as titles or rank finishers. Frankly though, I think you’re just being overly selfish over what ultimately amounts to digital items in a game that is meant to be fun for everyone, not just for a self entitled minority. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it makes business sense for ANet to cater to the majority.

Stalwart armor was not from Rank X chests, so it was a possible reward from achievement chests (but it was also available from personal story in pve)

Hey folks,

It’s been a while since we’ve commented on leagues, so here’s a brief update.

There’s definitely room for improvement in the league system, and it’s safe to say that it’s the team’s highest priority now that we’ve signed off on everything going in for the July release. It’s still a bit early to talk about specifics, but I do think we can talk about some of the goals we have for the changes:

  • Improve match quality
  • Make divisions more reflective of player skill
  • Make leagues feel more rewarding after you’ve placed in your appropriate division

We’re still determining the scope of the project, but I do want to be clear that it’s unlikely that these changes will be in for S4. Once we get a bit further in the dev process I’ll see if I can give an update on our thoughts/direction.

I prefer grindable seasons like season 1 over your plans wich usually make things worse than better. Season 1 was by far the best season so far.

I know it is still quite a while until someone can have this, but I rather suggest this early than too late (since the opportunity to have a collection for the all the unique raid drops was seemingly wasted).
It would be nice to receive the title “The Envoy” for crafting all 3 armor weights of the legendary armor. It does not give any advantage, but is a nice proof of dedication.

I think it should be 100 LI per piece (so 600 per set) to make having a full legendary armor set truly prestigious and a rare sight.

it wouldnt be more prestigious than if it required 10 per piece. either you can do the raids or you cant, the perception of any kind of prestige here is very binary.

we only had to beat liadri once, yet “the blazing light” (or the mini) was probably the single most prestigious visible thing in the game up until the 2nd release of the pavilion.

The title “the blazing light” was part of the 2nd release of the queens gauntlet, not available in first release. And it was easy to cheese with retaliation/life leeching if I recall right. The title should have been for the harder 8 orbs achievement if you ask me.

Having rewards for AP and cap for them makes absolutely no sense. Issue with people wasting hours and hours daily was solved long ago.

Says someone who has maxed the AP he can get from dailies. If they really are so trivial and don’t deserve to reward AP then you shouldn’t care if ANet retroactively removes all AP everyone has gained from dailies right? So 15,000 less AP for you, you lose all the rewards you have gained from those chests and then everyone is happy because we don’t have to worry about daily AP again

Joke is on you here. Deleting daily/monthly AP is something I suggested before. Though I suggested doubling AP of all permanent achievements in return (would put the current max possible AP at ~36k)

If this requirement was made 4 years or so ago people would all be like “I thought you said no grind philosophy?”

These days its “Everything has a price, grinding doesnt matter”

Personally I’ll be glad if can finish the bosses once. Getting it done so many times after that effort feels like a cheap way to keep people playing.

The onus is on ANet to create armor that is legendary and isn’t tied to raids.

If ANet actually made another legendary armor set that’d just be a win win for everybody. Raiders get their set, no change. Other people who hate raids, get their set. 2 different sets, different skins, different playstyles.

Trying to settle for less LIs as a lesser option would probably cause more harm than good in the long run. You should be pushing for ANet to add non raid legendary armor instead of trying to get LIs nerfed.

If Anet would make a new set for non raiders, it would either look “worse” or the raiding parts like 150 LI would get replaced by another immense and probably time gated grind. People would still complain for sure because it wont be less time consuming to get.

I would actually be ok with fused and sclerite weapons coming back.

but you missed your shot, clearly you don’t deserve a chance to get them.

i WAS all for prestige, PVE and PVP had relics of the past, long unnobtainable rewards,
but now that the PVP rewards have been rereleased it is only fair that the PVE ones are rereleased too.

I am ok with those (sclerite, fused etc) coming back because because they added achievements for them after removing them from aquisation. Its not compareable to the items.
I love people picking quotes out of contest. Your rhetoric tricks do not work on me.

And of course I defend my interests, why should I care about the interests of people who are in no way affliated with me? “Let the devil take the hindmost!”

30 Li is MORE than enough. I ignore any groups with stupid requests for LI. I once made the mistake of joining one where the leader had 60 li. He kept missing the green on VG.

LI is NOT a barometer of skill. It’s like the old days of people looking for 5k ap for dungeon runs. Just ignore them.

LI are an indicator of experience and not of skill. You dont need much skill for these raids anyway, experience is more important.

30 is definitely not enough to proof experience, thats just each boss 3 times

So getting each boss down 3 times is not enough to prove experience? LOL. Well how many is..10..20? The example I gave showed a guy with 60 li’s couldn’t even repeatedly make it to the green circles on VG, causing the rest of us to wipe several times. As far as I’m concerned if you get the boss down once successfully, that is experience enough.

The idea that 30 LI’s is not enough to show you can succeed is absurd. They should be taken as a simple indicator that you have reasonable experience at encountering the fights. But to dismiss someone for simply having 30 LI’s is ridiculous and that is not a group I would want to play in. Not only that, people can post LI code links in chat that are complete BS. Hence 9/10 I make my own groups and get all the bosses I attempt down.

Well no offence, but if after 500 kills, you still don’t have the bosses down to a tee, I think that says more about your own personal experience and skills rather than the raiding community at large. Maybe not everyone needed that level of repetition that you did to gain a comfortable level of experience.

Not really, even people from renowned guilds like SC and qT fail sometimes. There is always stuff that can go wrong that you can improve on. So I can only laugh about people who think they are “kill everything on first try” material with less than 100 LI.

People have different skill caps and learning speeds, yes. But being able to call yourself experienced after just 3 kills of a boss is just nonsense.

that is crazy talk. plain and simple. your view is skewed. you’ve done whatever you’ve done and it feels normal to you, but it isn’t normal, it’s hardcore. and you feel that “experienced” must be something more than what you think is normal when in fact the only thing more hardcore than doing what you’ve done is going for records.

It is not crazy. It takes me less than 10 hours of raiding per week, even most people who consider themselves “casual” play more than 10h per week.

30 Li is MORE than enough. I ignore any groups with stupid requests for LI. I once made the mistake of joining one where the leader had 60 li. He kept missing the green on VG.

LI is NOT a barometer of skill. It’s like the old days of people looking for 5k ap for dungeon runs. Just ignore them.

LI are an indicator of experience and not of skill. You dont need much skill for these raids anyway, experience is more important.

So getting each boss down 3 times is not enough to prove experience? LOL. Well how many is..10..20? The example I gave showed a guy with 60 li’s couldn’t even repeatedly make it to the green circles on VG, causing the rest of us to wipe several times. As far as I’m concerned if you get the boss down once successfully, that is experience enough.

The idea that 30 LI’s is not enough to show you can succeed is absurd. They should be taken as a simple indicator that you have reasonable experience at encountering the fights. But to dismiss someone for simply having 30 LI’s is ridiculous and that is not a group I would want to play in. Not only that, people can post LI code links in chat that are complete BS. Hence 9/10 I make my own groups and get all the bosses I attempt down.

3 kills per boss is definitely not enough to be considered “experienced”. 3 kills per boss is what experienced people do in a single week
Personally I probably got more than 500 raid boss kills so far and still not perfect
