Its capped to not devalue permanent achievement points. A lot of difficult achievements give less AP than 5minutes of dailies.
Like getting legendary in pvp season is only 5 AP (so half a daily), 250k kills in WvW only give 51 AP (5 days of dailies).
So 10 easy AP per day is way over the top already. I wish Anet would delete daily/monthly AP and rework permanent AP.

4 months is completly fine for 6 legendaries, I am suprised the rest of the legendary is so cheap, too. It should have been 100 crystalline bars per armor piece and not for the whole set for example
Why is it too much? Any legendary item should be a longtime goal, and given that wing 3 is so easy and i think pretty soon in a puggable state, with bandit trio and valeguard this makes 5 legendary insights that are really easy to get per week for everyone who is willing to put at least a little bit of effort into the game and knows a bit more than what skill 1 on his bar does.
No legendary item thus far requires 4 months of time gated activities with no missed bosses per week. If you were to do only 5 bosses out of the 9 it would take upwards of 7 months just for this part of the legendary! I have no intention of belaboring the point beyond this one post, but the tediousness of collecting just this one element is incomparable to anything else in the game (even the PvP legendary requires at most 2 months of time-gated dailies!). I say all of this as someone already over 100 LI’s and well on my way to the 150 mark; it’s just too much.
A set of armor is 6 pieces. So its not 4 month for one item, but 2,66 weeks per legendary item.
for players using the lfg to find people to raid 150 is a far bigger mountain to climb than it is for those in organized raiding guilds, and is way out of proportion to any other task required for any other legendary. How meany fails does the average player using only lfg have before they get one kill and one insight?
Raids were never meant to be done with LFG, the lfg category was only added because people insisted on pugging raids.

They do, but we are just getting from 1 content draught to the next one. Because after that expansion we will be in the next content draught unless Anet hires 150 new devs.

The matchmaking is disgusting. Almost impossible matchups for low MMR players and free wins for high MMR players (see all the screenshots with 20-40+ winstreaks on these forums).
MMR dont exist in this game, only Division.
Sure it exists. I can notice the quality of people in my team going down if I loose a lot and going back up after winning a few matches in a row.
2-3 months sounds too long to me unless each update is really large with a new map and all. A sure way to make all the casuals unhappy who have been waiting so long.
Also 2-3 month wait time hardly feels like a living story/world.

As someone who cant do the raids(age,disability’s etc)i just hope the 35k gold i got from gem purchases is enough to buy 125 insights i still need and finish this armour.Was it set at 150 to make it very costly for people like me? buying runs is a long standing tradition in guild wars,and like it or not it is allowed and was going to be used by some to get this armour.

If you find a guild which accepts you as their regular buyer you can probably get 150 LI for 15000 gold or less.
Buying raid runs is a perfectly viable option to get this set of legendary armor without needing to play any raid stuff yourself. So everyone who prefers farming open world over this should farm the gold and buy the runs instead of complaining.
Yeah, and again nobody is asking for an easier option. It should still take time and effort (but if so I’d like to get started on that time and effort now rather than months down the road), just time and effort spent OUTSIDE of raids.

150 (25 per piece) is very fine. No changes needed. After all a set of armor is 6 pieces and should take a lot of effort to get 6 legendaries.

Just had amber+ saphire and 2 thieves in my team, needless to say we lost. They already started rushing lords when we had like 100 points and enemies tri cap. It was utter crap, no idea why this is even allowed and why I can loose pips for it.
Give us a true soloQ again with profession based MMR, because this is quite frankly unacceptable.

Thats 4 months minimum,if your killing all 9 raid bosses a week.what sort of tinny fraction of raiders can do that? 150 insights is probably more like a year+ to MR average.
and that 150 insights will do more to put people off raids than any thing else.
And putting people off even trying raids dont do the future of raids much good.
Its not like you have to spend 150 LI at once, just build one piece at a time.

No I didnt. If someone went to the same mechanics / same RNG to get the tonic, the rarity or prestige was not negatively affected. It is only is negatively affected, if the means of aquireing the item was changed to make it faster/easier/more reliable to get.

Legendary armor is not in it seems. At least was not data mined. Pretty disappointing that Anet splits every little thing in several pieces. We waited for legendary armor since HoT release and now this. One of the two major disappointments of the patch.
You really find this surprising? Most people did not get upset about the immortal weapons being tied to those package bundles. So this was bound to happen. Once again the lead of the micro-store wins.
I did not get upset about immortal weapon set because they did not give a collection achievement. This privateer weapon set gives a weapon collection.

This is plain ridicilous. I thought Anet learned from the first BLTC sets which started untradeable but got changed later.
Now we need to gamble real money to do achievements (pay to win!). I demand this to be changed right now.

The pip system from season 1 was good. -3 to +3 per match depending on team score and win probability
so i need to party with ruby players to have shorter queue time ?
wont help because it uses the highest ranked player in the party. If you are legendary, your ruby player will counts as a legendary, too
Its not awful. It is just another carrot to convince you to keep doing fractals. Just like people play the lottery with a 1 in 125m chance to win.
If anything Anet should add more items of similar rarity into the game for all kind of contents. I cant think of any reason why there should not be extremly rare cosmetic items. Noone is forced to get them, but it makes people extremly happy if they manage to get one.

I have trouble keeping 50% winrate in diamond, even if I tryhard I cannot fix all the stupid mistakes other people do. Its suprising how many people in diamond dont have basic map awareness, run useless builds or refuse to relog to a different class if there are too many of one class (say 3 thieves for example)i’ve won matches with people on my team who dont have map awareness, i went on huge win streaks using builds that people like you call “useless” and i’ve won matches with 3 thieves on my team and lost vs a team of 4 non-premade mesmers
so im gonna risk saying that its probably your negative attitude and lack of game knowledge holding you back rather than anyone’s mmr carrying them

Yes, matchmaking is terribad. Just had a duoQ in team again with saphire+diamond and we had to fight against a full premade. Needless to say we lost.
I love when people who got carried by their absurdly high MMR post their screenshots. If you have such high MMR you can literally go afk on close whole game and still win most of your games.

If you have high MMR it tries to put you in team with other people with high MMR. If you have low MMR it tries to put you into teams with other low MMR people. So the end result is low MMR vs high MMR matches because the pvp population is too small to offer high MMR vs high MMR matches
