I have a problem with “Craze’s Folly Feasibility Report”, reached (without mesmer portals or anything like that) the end of the JP and looted the chest, too. It didnt unlock in the collection
I tried relogging and rerunning the JP from scratch. Nothing helped.
On the side note you can pick up the Crimson Sunflowers (I finished the collection related to it) at the JP chest each time you relog and it is worth like 2 silvers. Not sure if it is intended.
Rerun it again after daily reset on a fresh new map /ip when Shatterer spawned. Still not working. So I guess I am stuck on this collection now.
-snap-
As for SAB skins, it finished all 4 sets this time, so if you can only get 3 out of 68 skins in 20 days you are doing something wrong. I also got the moto backpack and the blue sab cover.
And that’s the kind of attitude that just doesn’t belong in GW2.
Stop and think. YOU actually have NO idea, why someone wasn’t able to get more than 2 SAB skins this time around. To make this clear: I am NOT talking about myself here, all good with my SAB skins.
There are literally thousands of reasons why someone might have not been able to do it. Or anything else in the game. Just because it was easy for you doesn’t mean everyone else was “doing something wrong”. I am so sick of people not even realizing how unbelievably privileged they are at every single moment of their life without even realizing it.No item in a game should be unobtainable for a certain group of people if a game truly wants to be community oriented. There are plenty of elitist “prestigious” (again, such thing doesn’t exist in a game as a fact but plenty of games have communities which happily make up prestige in their game because they need it to be happy) games on the market. I am SO glad GW2 isn’t one of them.
Well then there are thousands of reasons why they should not have those skins. There are 3800+ skins in this game, no need to make all of them easily accessible or cheap. If you want everything last skin (instead of being happy with a selection of skins the 85% of the easy skins) you better are willing to spend 200k+ gold and 10k hours on this game.
Not everyone is a winner in life or in games. People nowadays are so spoiled and entitled by bad parenting nowadays.

Did that include the Destroyer Scythe? Seems it popped up for some reason.
The pvp destroyer scythe was most likely a manual whitelist (or a GM playing around). It cannot be from mystic forge
Should any skins be exclusive?
Yes, they should be exclusive skins only available from and or during certain “events”.
Dungeon skins are exclusive to players who play the specific dungeons, nobody is complaining about that (yet….)
Karma vendor skins are also exclusive.Annual festival skins/minipets are also okay (as long as they are within the normal limits… getting 1-3 sab skins per year (realistically) form the available 68 is super bad…and then theres also those radios and moto backpacks and minipets that take away my baublebubbles…
Old pvp skins, and other skins that got removed from the game should be re added into the game via mf (the simplest way) or via karma vendor, or via laurel vendor, or via wvw token vendor.
You are wrong on the dungeon skins, you can already get them via pvp reward tracks (and now also wvw tracks). PvP tracks are the fastest way to get dungeon skins since you are not timegated there.

How small is the “raiding community”?
I have seen way more “raiding” guild that cannot kill any boss than raiding guild that breeze through every boss.
Must be horrible raiding guilds. People have been doing the bosses with less than 10 people, in green gear, partially naked and other stuff already. The raids are not hard at all. If you continiously fail with 10 people who are fully geared it means your team is horrible.
My guild is nowhere near the top 10 elitist guilds but we have no problem to get through both raid wings with 2 different groups at monday evening (around 2 hour timeframe). The groups are not static either, they get mixed each time depending on the order people signed up for the raid group.
(edited by Malediktus.9250)
My ideia it’s to give them to top 5 legendary leader board. Glorious Hero Armor need more prestige than farm.
Legendary leaderboard is a farm, #1 to #5 EU are prestige 22 to 32, so no thanks to making it for the top 5 grinders. If you reward the top 5 they will only grind more
All in all the adventure changes were useless. They nerfed haywire punchomatic the 2nd time for no good reason and barely changed others.
Scraprifle test was not changed at all it seems?
Insider knowledge is getting abused a lot. There are players that have access to alpha builds (like some newspages and raid testers) and they spread information on teamspeaks and of course for their own use. If Anet thinks this isnt happening they are fooling themselves.
Hmm or maybe prestige could = lots of play and work in game? VS simply using a credit card…. Isn’t that why the devs decided to not have the new legendary weapons be sellable?
You don’t need challenging content etc etc for prestige to = skill. Dedication and effort in earning something that can’t be obtained with a purchase is all that’s needed and we do have some parts of that.
I guess all in all, buying lots of things doesn’t make you a better player =/= more prestigious then someone who has not.
The problem is nothing in this game requires you to be “really good”. Sure you can get things done faster if you are “really good” but you will get everywhere just fine if you are average or slighly below average. So how do you earn prestige by being really good?
I like skins you have to work for, but it is really hard if everything is tradeable one way or another. The only exception are a few retired skins (you had to be playing the right content at the right time like mad memoires or tribal armor) and AP skins.
So you are saying in your opinion, someone plunking real money down for an item earns them more prestige in game then something they can earn in game?
A brand new player with tons of money buys gems and converts to gold, then buys tons of rare stuff (he will not have anything you would have to earn yourself), this makes him more prestigious then a 3 year veteran who has things that can’t be bought?
Indeed, that is the nature of a game where you are allowed to trade money (gems to gold) for ingame currency. Especially since the same person can use the money he got by converting gems to buy raid kills and achievement runs.
We would need challenging content where everyone needs to play to the maximum if you want prestige = skill. Either solo challenges like Liadri or dungeons/raids where everyone needs to be very good so selling slots would be impossible even for top guilds.
1285 shield skins were sold today via instant sell option
guess it is time to reskin my shield, not going to use a weapon skin worth merely 100g.Maybe you should use a weapon skin you like vs trying to show off?
Have to admit though, it’s kind of a burn for those that bought one due to the lack of patch notes on it. (even if it was an accidental deploy)
No I prefer ugly and trivial skins if they are rare enough. Currently even reskinned my legendary backpack with kaiser snake backpack cover even though I find it super ugly. But I spent 4620g + 16 days of SAB dailies + tribulation mode skins on it, so I must use it now.
Oh please, the clockwork miniature has zero prestige. You can get all the achievements in one play through of that dungeon path. And if you are desperate you can pay people 30g to boost you through those achievements.
Mini Sparkles on the other hand is prestigious because it is almost impossible to get (there are probably some codes for it left over out there, but probably hard to find someone willing to give/sell it to you)I disagree, the clock work mini has more prestige, it’s something you can earn through in game play. Yes you could buy people to carry you through the cheevos, but you could also get them the normal way.
Items that you can ONLY earn by buying them aren’t prestigious, that’s why the new legendary weapons aren’t trade able… To preserve the prestige of having them.
Guess what you have to earn everything in this game even if it is something miniscule. Even login rewards are “earned”. Does not make them prestigious. Same with that 30min (good group) to 2 hour (bad group) miniature. Call me elitist, but that is how I see it. Even the raid skins have very little prestige to me since the raids are also easy (takes our guilds ~2h to do both wings and our guild is nowhere as elitist as other raidguilds like snow crows)
So since there is no super hard content in this game currently, prestigious skins have either super low droprate, super expensive (3k+) or need massive amounts of time (5k+ hours for AP skins).
(edited by Malediktus.9250)
What happened to the glorious hero armor? It seems like Anet stopped doing tournaments where you can earn parts of these sets.
Maybe give us 1 piece each season for people who reach legendary division? Then it would take 18 seasons or 4,5 years to collect all 3 sets. Or sell them for 100 pvp tickets per piece
Make your own group if you do not like the requirements of other people.
Btw the eternal title is stupidly easy. It should have been doing the whole raid wing without dieing from start to finish instead of this.
My opinion is that everyone should have the opportunity to earn the skins and items they want.
For example the Clockheart mini pet is exclusive to people who complete all the Aetherpath achievements and is arguably a prestigious reward item. But no one is locked out of getting it – the dungeon and the achievements are available to everyone to do. (And yes I realise some players have disabilities, valid reasons to refuse to ever play in a party or whatever else which means they are unable to complete those achievements and that is a valid concern, but my point is the option to attempt it is there.)
Whereas the mini Mr. Sparkles is exclusive to people who attended a few specific real-life events in 2013 or bought 4,000 gems (with cash) during December 2013. It doesn’t matter if someone attends one of those events at any other time, or buys 4,000, 5,000 or even 10,000 gems in any other month. No matter what they do, or are willing to do, they cannot get it.
IMO the first example is absolutely fine and the second is a problem which should be addressed.
(BTW if anyone’s wondering I don’t have a mini Clockheart yet and I do have Mr. Sparkles.)
The same goes for other items. Some are a bit more of a grey area like the Halloween skins which were technically still available (through the TP) for anyone who wanted them, but the cost was disproportionately high compared to the cost of getting them when they were originally available.
But in general I’d much rather everyone could work towards items they want than some people get arbitrarily locked out just so some of those who have it can imagine it’s a bit more special.

Mini Sparkles on the other hand is prestigious because it is almost impossible to get (there are probably some codes for it left over out there, but probably hard to find someone willing to give/sell it to you)
There should definitely be exclusive or obscenly rare skins (either ultra low chance to find it, like precusor or less chance or more work than a mere legendary). It is hard to find anything in this game that other people cannot get, too. Even legendaries are easy to mass produce (at least for me).
This is a game where we have cosmetic progression over statistical progression, but I am not feeling it. Other than a few few untradeable retired skins or the 29k+ achievement point skins there is nothing in this game you cant get in a short amount of time.
Personally I am very disappointed of Anets new direction which I consider “cosmetic communism”. It is devaluing peoples work/time/luck/money they spent on getting those rare skins.
And before people start with their stupid definitions of prestige, I can tell you the real meaning of prestige from a wordbook: it comes from the latin word “praestigia” and means “delusion, illusion, trick”
(edited by Malediktus.9250)
Oh boy, dumped as low as 70g. Inexhaustible supply it would seem, lol.

It is weird that world bosses give trophies at a low rate by RNG, but raid bosses give 1-5 of their trophy and also need less to craft the statue.
Mr Smith, can you please investigate this further? I believe you have some internal devs, or friends of devs, that were aware of this change a few months ago, which led to an unfair advantage to the individuals who were aware of this before hand.
I am actually quite sure of this. I know several people who have access to alpha builds (for example to test raids) and they always know things like new recipes way ahead of time and tell everyone on Teamspeak about it and take advantage of it themselevs, too.
Over 800g (~1.2k staves) into the forge and nothing.
The drop rates on these are abysmal.
The next time you want to burn 800g, you can feel free to send some to me for the Buy Pretty Things For Me Fund.
I’d rather just get my god kitten destroyer scythe
Destroyer scythe does not seem to be available, at least noone got it yet (it is not in the API)
Also of course the droprate will be abysmal. They are probably meant as a precursor replacement because people can get those via collections now. With these rare skins as possible rewards their is an incentive to burn t5 mats in the forge.
Thanks, that was quick
A lot of the Chuka und Champawat collection items do not show up in the API, probably because they are getting added to the achievement immediatly and do not go to your inventory first, so they need manual whitelisting. I think this legendary has 9 collections in total which need a review.
http://db.dulfy.net/search/scythe
Halloween scythe seems to be in droptable, but noone found destroyer scythe yet
Looks like the destroyer scythe is part of the new drop table.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/4g3t53/so_i_found_this/d2gv996
Don’t see any listed on the TP according to gw2tp though.
http://db.dulfy.net/search/scythe
he is lieing. it would be in the API now if he would have found one
Color me suprised. Guess they want to keep forging stuff relevant after precursor collections got added (as t5 mat sink I guess?)
There was a thread on reddit a day or two ago, someone got a Grinning shield skin from combining rare shields (This is a new version of the skin it’s an actual item too). If you look on the TP you’ll see there are now 2 entries for the item.
They took screen shots too https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/4g3t53/so_i_found_this/That’s why it’s dropping in price.
That looks like a bug in the drop table and should be reported to Anet
If someone manages to steal a Ferrari or Rolex and gets away with it I would say that is good for him and it in no way reduces the value or rarity of said Ferrari or Rolex.
And I dont think there are any sane homeless people with a Rolex or Ferrari, but if there are that is their lifestyle choice and in no way reduces the value of said items.
At least the chance for gold fractal weapons and gold relics was nerfed a ton. Seems like you can expect 1 relic and less than 1 weapon per month now even if you do all lvl 4s.
Its like saying a Ferrari or a clock from Rolex in real life has no prestige.
Also those legendary skins are over 3 years old now. Of course many people got them by now since there is no alternative to those if you want a legendary.
Sitting outside Barradin’s vault for three hours doing absolutely nothing while waiting for the event to start was a very fun journey…
Are you sure you didnt miss the event? Since the event got nerfed from champion to veterans a single person can solo the event in a minute.
Similar case happened with me today, dropped a zap, spark and venom from Tangled Depths and Dragon’s Stand…
Funny you found more precursors in a day than me in over 11k hours.

chance for gold relics / skins seems to be nerfed a lot or [KING] is very unlucky
chance for armor/weapons seems to be about the same
Since you are saving 3*4 map servers this way, will you use the server resources you save by this to make t1 fights less laggy and increase the max amount of players per map?
You can have one or the other, but not both.
We can have both if we spread the resources 50/50 :p A bit higher player cap and less laggy fight

Are you kidding me? They nerfed the fractal difficulty so hard it almost doesn’t feel like an achievment anymore. I wish they had implented a title called “I did all 100 fractals when they still were difficult”.
Indeed, lvl 100 should be harder than raids, instead we get something that feels like what the difficulty of fractals lvl 1 should be
They should remove crystalline ore requirement for guild vendors. Crystalline ore has 0% in common with guilds
I saw someone in map earlier today that got Rodgort prec from adventures…
You can get precursors for almost anything in this game, does not mean much if 1 in 100k people got slightly lucky
We’re looking into adding other things to spend Fractal Journals on, but I don’t think Golden Relics will be one of them. Journals are obtained only in the 1-50 range, while Golden Relics are obtained only in the 51-100 range.
How about increasing the chance for golden skins in general?
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18IHVJao5j85KOp6lBTOgO8qs4VYD3Xty-jKPZo8o-Q4/pubhtml
Suggests the new patch reduced the chance for golden skins even though we have higher level dailies now, or [KING] is unlucky. Only 1 gold relic and 0 gold skins in 129 lvl 51-100 reward chests must be a joke.
I still do not get why you removed the RNG for blue skins (pre HoT you had roughly 25% chance for a blue skin every day if you did all the reward tiers) while replacing it with much worse RNG for the gold skins. It seems like we can expect less than 1 gold skin per month at the current rate.
Contrary to what you (and some other people) think, RPG stands for Role Playing Game, not Roll Playing Game. RNG is completely unnecessary.
You obviously did not play old role play games. RNG even for stats on level up was common. As far as I know even a new MMO is doing random stat rolls on level up (Black Desert Online) which made a lot of min-max people angry.

Yes, Anet is handing out too much on a silver plattern catering to the instant gratification crowd of lazy casuals. The golden age of MMORPGs seems to be over thanks to instant gratification crowd.
If it would just be this lvl 80 boost I would not care, but the free hand outs are everywhere in GW2 and it seems to get more and more as the game matures.Have you considered building a wall to keep us filthy, lazy casuals out? Cause we’re all looters and pillagers you know, and love touching your shinies.
That sounds like a good idea, anet should start a gofundme so we can raise funds for the wall

RNG is an integral part of RPGs just like character progression. It keeps things interesting because you never know the results in advance. Theoretically even our character stats you gain when having a level up should be affected by RNG. Too bad it is all watered down nowadays. The more RNG parts a (MMO)RPG has the better.
(edited by Malediktus.9250)
There are like 3000 easy to get skins in this game, plenty of options if you want to be different instead of prestigious. And guess what Anet keeps adding more and more easy to get skins via gem shop for the people who want trash skins. No need to ruin old skins people worked hard for.
(edited by Malediktus.9250)
Yes, I already reskinned my ad infinitum with the ascension
Supply and demand. They were not overpriced since it is a free market. Anet shifted it from one extreme to another extreme likey they always do. They never know any middle grounds just shifting things from one extreme to the other.
How about just increasing the droprate a bit and see where price stabilizes instead of increasing it by like 100×. If price is too high and the path too unrewarding, fine. Double or triple the droprate and see what happens. If it is not enough improve droprate again, but this is just silly and stupid.
Also this is a MMORPG. Notice the RPG in it? Progression systems are an important part of every RPG. Instant gratification has no place in RPGs.

Crafting is nothing but a gold transfer from WvW players to PvE players.
I would appreciate crafting more if it had some function in WvW. Like providing boosts, weapons, siege, upgrades for your entire team in WvW. While having the team war efforts to unlock materials for the crafting.
Again crafting food for profit is not a thing. You waste your time if you craft food for profit and you should be thankful that some people are wasting their time to craft food for you.
The profit for crafting the typical food is usually around 2s each and you cannot craft many at the same time without crashing the price.
Example: https://www.gw2bltc.com/en/item/12481-Bowl-of-Lemongrass-Poultry-Soup
As you can see there is only 2k of these sold per day in total. A grand total of 40g profit per day spread across the whole playerbase lol
(edited by Malediktus.9250)
Anet is devaluing effort people put into this game since 2013. I am not suprised.
Nah there arent enough prestigious skins. I got over 3,5k skins unlocked and most of them I never touch because they are simply worthless. Plus this set is just a blueish recolors of the regular TA skins. No idea why they should be easier to get than the regular skins all out of a sudden.
Seriously? There’s dozens of BLTC skins, the heritage set, gold fractal weapons, raid weapons, gem store uniques, mystic forge weapons and precursors/legendaries. Most of these are well out of reach of the average player.
Nah man. BLTC skins? There are like 30 sets, but most individual weapons cost almost nothing on TP (I consider skins below 300g as crap), aetherised, balthasar, chaos and zodiac skins have been ruined recently.
Heritage set? Simply buy gw1 eotn and link to gw2. Prestige? None.
SAB skins? The exploit ruined any prestige.
The only skins that have prestige tbh are a few of the discontinued ones like tribal, the new legendaries, pinnacle skins (29k+ AP), possibly raid skins. I would consider less than 5% of the 3800 skins in GW2 to hold any prestige at the moment.
To make it short: Anything that can be aquired with less than 300g or dozens/hundreds of hours of activities has 0 prestige to me.
And since this game is about cosmetic progression rather than power creep item tiers, there should be lots and lots of cosmetics to set yourself apart from others if you spend the required effort. Sadly almost everything in this game gets served on a silver plattern.
