So the laurels, exp and chance for black lion items like the salvage kit is not good enough for doing some dailies?
Do you have suggestions for legendary minis? I think elder dragons like Zhaitan would make good ones
@Chrispy.5641: Noone got 10k daily AP, the max should be around 8200 currently. I got 7663 atm and I am top 30. Yes, I missed some because a day only has 24 hours. If people think 10k is too low we could set it to 15k or whatever, but there should be a cap so we have some kind of “finish line”.
If someone says he likes dailies and is a completionist but barely played any or none tPvP and not even close to top 1000 AP either NA or EU, I consider him to be a troll.
Same if someone says everything is fine without actually caring about achievements.
When will the WvW achievements finnaly be toned down? It was promised for last year already.
theres a booster to gain rank in WvW. theres also a booster for gaining level in PvE. booster for glory points. why not booster for rank points? i mean rank means nothing anyways i just want to get the cool finisher. im happy you make money, everyone’s happy lol XD
Because levels in PVE and WvW are meaningless already.
Also rank point boosters would make it pay to win because of the achievement points associated with ranks.

Tequatl isnt hard, he has farm status on our server and its pug organized. Wurm will most likely follow the same fate. The marionette achieves are easy, too. Only thing that keeps me from having them all in one run is 1) bad players making a lane fail, even thought i succeeded at dodging and killing the champ 2) you cant do all 5 champs in one run
But then we would have raids in GW2. And anet hates raids.
I think the presents in wvw is a bug.
I think people who get their majority of AP by temporary achievements do not deserve their leaderboard position (myself included ofc), so I want Anet to move away from the huge emphasis on temporary achievements.
Either make all permanent achievements give at least 10x as many points or limit daily/monthly. Its just plain silly that doing all dailies for 2 days gives more points than building 5 legendaries for example.
60min is just fine, I often go early to events like tequatl, go afk and do something else and come back when the event starts. if the timer would be shortened I would feel forced to use an anti afk makro. I cant be bothered with doing these events on overflow just because I can only afk for [insert random time here].
I dont want to limit anyone choices, just a hard cap on daily/monthly achievement points (10k/2.5k would be just great. Casual players will likely never reach it in the next coming years, possible not even by the end of GW2s lifetime, only a select few hardcore achievement point farmers like me will reach it anytime soon.
I know I dont have to do all dailies, but then 1) Would loose my leaderboard position 2) All effort on achievements so far was wasted, because the achievement reward chests are a joke.
Not to mention the whole game is optional, so pointing it I dont have to do all dailies is just silly.

I dont see how they benefit from it. All we ask for is a hard cap on repeatable achievement points. It does not hurt any player to put a 10k point cap on dailies and 2.5k on montlies. The top players still need months to get there. I am top 30 EU and only have 7643 AP from dailies. All it would do is allowing us to focus on the true content of GW2 again instead of spending 6 hours a day for daily AP.
Filling a daily task list each and every day is not an achievement, its a 2nd job. The WvW achievements and rank achievements in PvP will be nerfed to realistic levels in a future patch, its already announced. So I dont see why there cant be an adjustment to the way daily/monthly achievements work.
I wouldnt even mind some sort of ingame time machine to retroactively complete living story achievements. Its a fantasy game so it should be doable for Anet.I hate to shatter your bubble, but very few of the achievements are actually achievements. Killing X number of enemies, X number of monsters, using a weapon X number of times, those aren’t “achievements,” just measurements of how long you’ve been playing the game. Don’t even get me started on Hall of Monuments achievements. Really the only true “achievements” by any definition of the word the one time completion things like jumping puzzles, some of the things in the explorer tabs, the first pass through each dungeon. Of course, anyone who really wants to can complete all that stuff can likely do it all in under a month.
Also, since you brought it up, your current AP is 18845, of which you mentioned almost 8000 of which is from dailies, and I’m guessing another 2000+ of which is from monthlies. I’m currently sitting sitting at about 9500 AP, but I’ve only got about 2000 points from dailies, and only about 800 from monthlies, and I’m guessing A LOT of players are just like me. If there were no dailies, that massive lead you’re showing off and making a big deal of would be much much smaller.
Thats why I suggested to add a whole lot more Liadri or higher difficulty achievements. They should be so kittenly the absolute hardcore players will make them without abusing bugs/exploits.
My permanent AP are 9750 currently, I still got a few hundred of “doable” permanent achievements to go, but because of dailies I dont have much time to go for boring activities like maxing weapon master and the like.
FYI I missed the 8 orb achievement for Liadri, partly because I didnt have enough time for it, but also because I only had one lvl 80 at that time (now a 2nd) which didnt seem to do enough dmg so I always run out of time.

Since it doesnt affect their belove economy Anet sadly doesnt care enough to fix it in less than 5 years.

If the daily/monthly/repeatable achievement stuff wont be changed many achievement hunters will move to TESO. Similar achievement point system to GW2 but no dailies or other repeatable crap. Exactly what a true achievement hunter desires.
Thing is we want a leaderboard less depending on daily and monthly crap and more focus on permanent achievements, preferable even of Liadri or higher difficulty. More dailies will just make it a competition who can bear it the longest without burning out.
The new events are fine. Who cares about loot if you can play the TP and buy whatever you want.
Personally, I’d like to see more choices added with the opportunity to score even more AP each day.
Lol no, it already takes 4-6 hours to do all dailies. That would make the daily/monthly to permanent AP ratio even more horrible

And now tell me which scenario you’d prefer once the servers are upgraded:
- A population cap increase from 100 people to 120 for every map. More people finally get a chance to fight Tequatl and map-specific release content on their own servers without turning up in random overflows.
- The same 100 people population cap, but once a week some random guild you know nothing of on a random map can pop up 100 elementals. Same overflows and a complete waste of resources for 99% of time.
Our server kills tequatl on average 6 times per day without the help of guilds. All organized by pugs.
I dont recall ever seeing a single large guild show up.

its 1460 points per year, quite a lot and nothing to sneeze at
and I think a lot of these so called “pvers” have higher ranks than pvpers. Like me, I am r47 with barely any hotjoin played.

Oh look, the self proclaimed doctors are getting out again.
SoloQ is a terrible experience again today, stuck at 4 wins for over an hour already ~4 hours total so far. Didnt even get to start with TeamQ yet and its only 90min to reset.
I think its time to turn super elitist mode on in every match so people loose the fun and numbers of tPvP go down again.
On dungeons/instance:
- Yes there is a cumulative cost of having tons of these in instances. Without getting into too many technical details, 150 people in 30 dungeons using this item is just as bad as 150 people in 1 public map. Even if you have not experienced skill lag personally, there are constraints and instances do hit them.
- It is therefore completely unfair to assign blame to players who enjoy the large open world events. The events represent drastic instances of the problem, but the change was made to address the entirety of the issues that are being caused across the game.

looks like they made a small improvement to minis today, but not nearly enough, we still have to reequip the mini all the time.
Cant you craft dragon finisher with dragon tokens? Or did they remove the finisher recipes
And sometimes you have even worse luck and need 8 hours.

Making money on the TP is too easy, thats why I am doing it myself. Why should I spend hours farming boring stuff if I can more in a fraction of the time on TP. If thats not broken I dont know what is.

Oh yes, everything is considered art today, 100 years ago it would have been marked as it is, utter trash.
It would have no effect on most maps, but could be used to your advantage on that map, so I dont see why its a bad idea.
I think the whole skill should be removed from sPvP
