If you see a fellow guild member, their name is in yellow.
Other people in your party have blue names.
How about green or purple for people on your friends list who are not in your guild nor in your party?
I recently joined Legion of Honour and its been a great guild so far, a lot of nice friendly people willing to lend a hand. Thank you for welcoming me!
The haybales are not in the Scarlett’s Playhouse instance, but in the regular Crown Pavilion instance after you beat Scarlett.
Did you see Character Slots on that preview sale? Those are what I am waiting for….
Someone on GW2guru.com also made the suggestion that with the new options to remove culling, all the extra sprites your video card has to draw is putting extra strain on it, the game, and your system. Try lowering your graphics settings and see if the crashes stop happening.
Its an account wide title, so if any char has explored the area, it counts for all your characters.
Game crashes can be caused by a bad/corrupted video card driver, a bad connection between the mother board and your video card (if not built-in), too must dust and heat buildup in your computer case, etc. Try looking into those things, and dusting out your computer, and see if they help.
I completely agree. The Guild list system in GW1 was awesome. Leaders at the top, then officers, then members at the bottom, all organized by last logged in time, alphabetically. I dont understand why they didnt keep this in GW2.
This bug seems to only affect you when you’re standing in a city. Try going out to an explorable area such as Queensdale, Gendarren Fields, Bloodtide Coast, etc, and then try to represent your guild again.
I havent had this bug in a while, but when I did, going out into an explorable area such as Queensdale, and then representing seemed to fix it. It doesnt work when you’re in a town such as Divinity’s Reach.
Joining a guild is a lot like a job interview. They want to know everything about you so they know if you would be a good fit for their guild. Some guilds dont want newbs, some guilds dont want elite players. So you have to describe what you’re looking for so the guild leaders know if the guild is a good fit for you.
The Orr explorable area cannot be cleansed, as it will throw off the rest of the story for those characters coming thru for the first time.
Just like in Guild Wars 1 after we defeated Abaddon. It was easy to make instanced areas such as the Garden turn into nightfall, and then turn back into normal afterwards. But in a persistant world such as GW2, its a little more difficult.
Didn’t Logan say robot Rytlock said something he had said in the past, but very people knew about it? Was that part of Anise’s illusion or was that something else?
It also doesn’t make sense that Anise would maintain the illusion of Rytlock if it was shown to be hindering Logan. When it was just an exhibition match, it was fine. But when the Queen’s life is in danger it’s flat out stupid to maintain the illusion. Either Anise kittened up and endangered the Queen by hindering the leader of the Seraph or she’s up to something.
Anise was mocking him publicly… which is a pretty low blow, but what do you expect from a woman of her nature. As for putting a stop to it when the queen was in danger, she couldn’t, as she no longer had control.
The illusion is her magic, it’s not the golem. They lost control of the golem, not the illusion.
True. I saw it as Anise making the watchknight look like Rytlock, but the words it spoke to Logan were while it was under the control of the hooded figure.
My guild got a group of people together on Monday before the patch, and we had to relog with 3 rangers with 1500 longbows to attack the tree, while the other 2 of us killed the spiders. The tree reset to full health on us 3 times, but we managed to finally kill it after over an hour. I dont consider that challenge to be fun.
No no no!! KITTEN KITTEN!!! I can earn 60-100 fractal relics a day. I’m lucky if 60 crystalline dust have dropped for me in the year I have been playing. I dont care if I can get dust from ectos, I need the ectos too, to create my legendary. I really dont like this change.
The masterwork bag only compacts masterwork items that are in it. Same with the rare and exotic bag. Its not a bug, but it takes some getting used to.
I havent had that happen in a long while, but the fix for me was going out into an explorable zone such as Queensdale, Metrica Province, etc, and then standing down and representing. That fixed it. It doesnt work if you stand down in a town.
The messages over your limit are normally held in the system until your mailbox is under 10 messages. Did you delete the old messages and then see if your missing messages come back?
I really think they should do the Reactor fractal, and then when that’s finished and in the game, start work on and complete the Abbadon fractal. That would go a LONG way towards keeping both sides of the customer base happy.
I for one would just like to see the Flame & Frost dungeon turned into a fractal. That one was the most fun I’ve had in a dungeon.
It looks like Evan Gnashblade’s supporters dont give two kittens about him, they only care about the fractal. I voted for Ellen because I think she would do a better job and I want to see more of her story.

Read this thread. Did you try going to a different city?

What’s wrong with using this version?
Did you recently change servers? Guild banks are server-bound. What you create on one server is not accessible on a different server.
The Hellfire shoulders are REALLY huge. I think they should be resized to 75% or even 50% smaller than they are.
I wish they were tradeable, as I have 100 of the various tonics sitting in my bank I have no use for. I’d gladly sell them to who ever wants them.
Instead of in the same window, it would be nice to set up a different tab in the chat window for each guild, like we have with “main” “guild” “whispers” etc.
Do you have this place:

That was the last one I was missing. I didnt even know it existed until a guildie showed me.
If you think GW2’s females are really busty, you haven’t seen this yet:
My guild has a weekly raffle. One person collects the money and randomizes the tickets. At the end of the week a random number is drawn and that person wins 80% of the pot, while the other 20% goes into the guild stash to pay for future upgrades.
About 10 feet from the Farshore Waypoint is the NPC Ridley who gives you a speed boost.
Yes, I completely agree. I would gladly trade several of these in the mystic forge at a 5:1 ratio or so, and get fine transmutation crystals back.
I have seen this bug, as well as a similar bug. I have the issue where I can click on someone’s name, send mail, but the name slot is the person standing next to me, instead of the person I clicked on. Also, today I even clicked reply to someone’s mail in my box, and instead of replying to that person, it replied to the person standing next to me. I dont understand why the game is changing the person I’m sending mail to.
I’m surprised this one is still around, as I havent seen it happen to me since October. What I ended up doing as a work-around when it happened was to zone out into an explorable area. Then it would let me represent the guild again. Standing in a town would not work.
A more likely scenario is someone in your guild saw the other guild coming, and activated the flag along with that guild. It happened to us last Saturday.
dagger/dagger is the flavor of the month, but I love my scepter/dagger because I’m way too squishy to play d/d in melee. I dont like the staff skills either. Scepter/Dagger is a good mix in PvE. But if you’re talking WvW or PvP, then D/D is where the power is.
I tried staff ele at the beginning and didnt like it, because my preferred element, air, has horrible staff skills. I tried the dagger/dagger flavor of the month, and I didnt like being up front in melee range with light armor and low HP. So now I run scepter/dagger and I absolutely love it. I switch between fire, air, and earth, and use water for healing.
What I’ve noticed happening is sometimes you miss picking up the reward chest for an area. That will keep you from getting the final reward for map completion. Each zone should have a star next to its name when you mouse-over it on the world map. Check each zone and see.
What sometimes happens is you completed a map, but didnt pick up the reward chest. You’ll have to check the map screen and hover the mouse over each area’s label. That should display how much completion you have done. One of them will not have the star after it. That’s the one you missed. Does that make sense?
“Your plan is just stupid and won’t work!”
Same problem here, no matter which credit card I used. I gave up and bought a gem card from the local store.
From your attachment it looks like you’re in Lion’s Arch. Try going out into any explorable area (Queensdale, Gendarran Fields, etc) and then try to represent your guild again. I’ve noticed that fixes it for me.
When I have this problem, it only happens in one of the main cities. As soon as I go into a PvE area, it fixes itself and I am able to represent my guild and talk in guild chat again.
