In Season 3 (assuming there is a S3), can you put into the reward system a way of upgrading Mistforged weapons to ascended? Exotic/Rare doesn’t really cut it nowadays.
Remember even ascended isn’t the 1st tier, legendarys are the 1st tier, Ascended 2nd tier, Exotics 3rd tier…

There are quite a few items I want and I was worried I would run out of time but now I can chill and go about it in a casual fashion, doing whatever I fancy…which is soooo much more fun than rushing everything…
Please allow them to be sold on TP, I have a permanent shortage of gauntlet tickets…
Its very, very frustrating…I just want to play gauntlet but I am forced to do other ‘stuff’ to get gauntlet tickets.
Its doubly frustrating because I had nearly 200 left over from last year but after 8 months got bored of looking at them sitting in my stash so deleted them. Arrrragh!
Also I can’t buy them, not bothered about the 20s, its the token cost…I am saving tokens up, so do not want to spend tokens! Double Arrrragh!!
Btw to all those above I would be very happy to pay you 1-2s per gauntlet ticket via the TP if it was possible, I would buy 1,000’s. I have a gambit fixation…a expensive habit!

You can buy the favours on TP and they are not a massively inflated price, 15-30g each when I looked. Which means they must be dropping for players.
See if I get either as a drop and if I haven’t just buy them to get the panda.
Overall this festival is great for rewards, Anet got it spot on right, nothing massively overpriced and you know how much in tokens something is, so you go out play, earn them then buy what you want!

Why are not some of those pvp arenas put into normal pvp?
The minium of tweaking, because you don’t want to spoil them and they would spice up pvp loads.
Snowball Mayham (the xmas pvp) is great too, also dragonball (in the Dragon festival) and the Halloween one too.
Aspect Arena would probably use a similar skillset to Spirit Watch/Skyhammer. You could then have a split q for both team/solo q. So select solo q or team q game. Then have a choice of playing either Spirit Watch/Skyhammer/Aspect Arena or the other traditional pvp maps.
It would stop a lot of qq vs Skyhammer and to a lesser extent spirit watch because you would no longer be forced to play them. A lot of players would still opt to play them. Its better then removing them from solo q completely.
The festival is great overall and I am really enjoying it! Making a ton of gold and getting loads of rewards via tokens that I missed earlier.
So a BIG THANK YOU TO ANET for this festival!
The only medicore, substandard part of it is the boss blitz which is far, far worse than last year. This part was all about the rewards and without them its pointless. A lot of other players seem to agree with me ingame because its a ghost town with just a few paltry players struggling on there own to do the bosses and just repeatedly dieing over and over again. They probably want the achievement points to complete the meta.
Thankfully, I am not bothered about the achievement points and you can keep the meta reward of 1600 tokens + 1 special token because I can spend my time doing other parts of the festival which reward me 100’s of gold and probably give me 10,000+ token by the end of the event, plus load more goodies. Its also more importantly enjoyable to do, so no chore or grind!
A tip for everyone, figure out where the ‘true’ rewards are and forget the direction Anet try to point you in…
How is it possible to make a ton of gold in this update and what content is it you enjoy much? Maybe i am missing things, i feel like there is barely anything to do. Or did i miss the sarcasm in it?
No sarcasm at all, except for boss blitz its a awesome festival.
I would love to tell you but if I do, especially on a public forum which Anet reads it would be nerfed. I prefer to keep it to myself and enjoy….
Just explore more and use your brain…its not difficult to figure out. A good rule of thumb avoid the achievements which guide you to (largely) unrewarding activities. Remember EVERYONE virtually does the achievements so the most rewarding stuff is off the well trod path…
Just start a new champion train in another higher lvl zones like 16-40. If you look on wiki there are loads of champions in other zones, at least 6+ per zone.
Just after learn a new route and get enough other players to join and your choo choo’ing along on your never ending train again.

Practice and get better, its not in the least bit hard.
I agree separating MMR by character.
If I attempt to play a Ele, will lose 100 games in a row, so never playing Ele in PvP and will never know how to play Ele in PvP until Ele has a separate MMR…
Blessing, its a good way to make money. Avoids being scammed by other players.
The only negative is EVERYTHING should be tradeable on the TP. A complete free market. Too much stuff account bound or soulbound which either sits in your stash or you end up destroying.

I don’t want any rewards tied to personal score. That metric needs to be removed and burnt.

Each piece changeable to all stat types just like legendary weapons.
Each legendary armour piece should be equal in grind to a current legendary weapon is now. Don’t want just any casual riff raff getting legendary armour!
We must have precursor armour pieces.
Obviously when they design the armour set/s they must aim to make it by far the most awesome looking armour in GW2. Being considerably better than anything seen before, so every players desires it.
Must be possible to sell on the Trading Post, so we can makes 1,000’s of gold in profit.
You could also trade a lot of useless (largely worthless) materials at the Labyrinthine Cliffs last year for gold or a more useful crafting material.
I am hoping to offload loads of blade shards, ascended crafting junk and hopefully a shedload of mithril…
I was not expecting anything till June, so this is great news…
Personally I loved gauntlet, so I can’t wait to fight those ‘bosses’ again. Also please, please let us swap all our useless ascended materials for something good. I will love the Zephyrites forever if they can take all my stacks of ascended rubbish!

Expect Dragon Bash later this year, I think Anet want the Chinese/Asia market to take part in Dragon Bash. Rumour has it Chinese LOVE dragons…

China/Asia, if not in real life, virtually. Working with the Chinese devs.
Have patience, once EU/NA/China/Asia are in sync with each another normal service will resume. Find some way to occupy yourself till June.
Its a possibility 1 new zone could be introduced but unlikely I think.
Any series of new zones would probably be introduced as a b2p expansion. I personally would like such new zones to be lvl 60-80 only. I see no point in zones below those levels when 99% of the player base has lvl 80’s.
Anet could surprise us, they do think out of the box, sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Rangers are going to be deleted from GW2 in a future expansion, so no longer get any dev support.
Conquest mode promotes a bunker build to win games.
However the personal scoring system promotes running around trying to cap as many points as possible, killing as much as possible ie…the EXACT OPPOSITE of what you need to do to win games.
A really good bunker will often be avoided by the opposing team so score very, very low but could well have held that point all game, so contribute nearly a 1/3 or more towards victory.
Its a dichotomy.
No a long losing streak is very possible if you keep being matched with players who don’t know what they doing, players experimenting with builds (so don’t really know what they doing), bad team composition (3 mesmers, 3 eles, 3 thiefs or any combo there of), afk’ers, leavers (so you 4v5), a doom merchant (you lose initial rush for pts, starts trash talking putting team down), getting sky hammer 6 billion times in a row and so on…
Was in a lot of games in a row over the weekend where I scored more points than anybody off either team and won 90% of my battles but my teammates were so inept we lost…

Yeah, sadly its just filler between living storys…
If they had made the Mistforged weapons ascended quality instead of exotic then servers would have probably fought a lot harder to get them, with more PvE players doing WvW for the pts.
But as it is now, feels like everyone is just going through the motions, largely because everyone knows every servers finishing place give or take a position or two.
Too late…as for as I can tell most players stopped defending 6-12 months ago and not just on EoTM either.
Even with this tournament, its still mainly karma train on all maps.
Its really bad in the PvP lobby/megaserver (EU), I was getting gold sellers every 2 secs, same ones over and over again.
Noticed a HUGE, HUGE drop in number of players playing warriors in sPvP since the 15.4.14.
So a lot of players have been put off playing warriors by the nerfs to them in that patch. That’s my impression anyway.
I think the warrior haters need to find a new character class to hate upon and get nerfed.
It’s been like a year and we still get stuck in the ground for 5 seconds when we build siege.
I think the Anet devs are working on another game.
I thought this only happened to me (I’m new to WvW), a year, this is lame.
Your stunned…if you do not want to wait 5 secs to move use a stun breaker utility skill.
Yeah…I think this bug as been in WvW since release day…pretty lame its never been fixed. Only a million+ players have told them about it. But WvW is never part of the Living Story so no resources are devoted to it and Anet always seem to have bug fixing on a very, very low priority.
I am not bothered about a new race…racial abilities are dreadful and no one uses them except for a bit of fun, so a new race does not add much to GW2.
However, a new profession would be awesome, that adds loads, a complete new set of utility skills, elite skills, traits, weapon skills. So hopefully that’s what they will concentrate on.
But the new race will be much easier to do than a new profession, so new race would after be favourite.
I bet if in NA/EU the queue system had been in place we would have seen even bigger queues at launch.
I hope WvW is popular in China, Anet may put more resources into it then.

But in pure money terms, the dungeon tracks, because you get 4 guaranteed exotics + dungeon tokens to spend on more exotics.
Actually running the dungeon itself thou is far, far more profitable…
Just a educated guess, the living story will resume in June.
All of Anet is concentrating on Chine/Asia now, hence the silence. Its understandable since they want there China/Asia customers to have a good 1st impression of GW2 as we had here in the West.
I believe they are going to sync the living story across NA/EU/China/Asia, so we all get it at the same time. So June is the likely time Living Story will start up again. China/Asia players will have 80’s by then or be well on there way and WvW season ends at the end of May.
Another thing I have noticed that has a BIG effect on matchmaking/results is when you have too many light armour classes/thieves.
For example, whenever I play solo q if you get:-
3 out of 5 are Ele’s, Mesmers or Thieves you virtually always lose. Just not enough staying power on points I suppose. Its really noticeable, keep track of it. Your % win will be considerably lower when you get that combination.
Not saying those 3 classes are bad to play, every team probably needs a decent thief, its just a team only needs 1 or 2 of them.
Just guessing but I suspect a heavy Chinese influence on dragon bash this year, what with the timing and all…
No one knows when next update is…
GW2 launches officially May 14th’ish in China/Asia, in open beta now. WvW tournament ends at the end of May.
So I reckon Season 2 living story probably in June, China/Asia players will have 80’s by then as well.
No one knows if there are any updates between now and June really and only June is a educated guess…

In PvP when I have downed a player, I aim to just keep them in a downed state as long as possible because they are no threat and not scoring points well helpless. I think its a pretty good tactic. I only kill them if they are blocking capping a point or if there is more than 1 enemy player of course, because they can rez them back up.
Kept some players in a downed state 30-60 secs before they died…am I being cruel?
Obviously when I do this I am bunkering a point as well.
A team group was advertising for players rank 70+ only…I thought lets give this a go…

I saw this too and I am assuming its to help correct a bug which appeared after last update in which some players, got 100’s or 1,000’s of bonus chests.

I hope it does not effect the bonus chests we get on Fri thou…I open mine up every week, so have 0 by Thursday and then usually get 3 on Friday after reset. I don’t think this will be effected and its just aimed at sorting the chest bug out.

I doubt the devs are all working on the chinese release.. It’s most likely done by different people… you know, people who actually speak and write chinese.. (that is, if they get the same game we do.. if they actually get all kinds of exclusive stuff and censorship, then maybe some of them are involved..)
Trust me the devs are working on China/Asia release and its no. 1 priority atm…
Anet create everything, then the Asia devs tweak it for there market.
I think the aim is to have NA/EU/ASIA running together with same story content, keeping the differences as small as possible. Its why no season 2 of living story, until Asia is aboard the train.

Its been very, very obvious for some time now. The ‘New Features’ patch should have been called the ‘China/Asia Features’ patch.
Probably, get them all back 1-3 months after GW2 release in China/Asia. Obviously its Anets/NCSoft no 1 priority currently and its fair enough.
Anyone fighting a minion Necro, kill there flesh golem 1st, it has a long cooldown and once there Flesh golem is dead, usually the Necro follows. The other minions are easy to wipe out.
For me its roughly 1 in 500…as I have opened 500’ish chests and got 1 ascended box.
No other ascended stuff (like rings etc…), even exotics is really low, like 5 in 500.
At least I was lucky with the stats, ptv. I selected greatsword and with it being account bound my 80th lvl Guardian, Warrior, Mesmer and Ranger can all use it.
