Btw..how do you get that mastery point in the lava. You can’t focus on it cos u keep getting interrupted.
I haven’t finished the story yet but a few thoughts so far:
New map – Love the massive size and expanse. Awesome. Bit disappointing to see NO Hydra’s or other monsters that made gw1 Ring of Fire so memorable.
The introduction of the SKritt and the tent just seems immersion breaking and absurd. Why would they be in this barren, firey land. it made absolutely zero sense. The weapons are also extremely overpriced. They are not to my taste so all good.
Hearts were filler like they always have been so I’m a bit meh on that.
It seems like a good map overall though. Will finish my story this eve and take full stock.
Currently Druid is now the gW2 version of GW1 monk and if you pug raid and you’re not waiting on a chronotank, you’re waiting on a druid. I think they could have at LEAST 2 more healing Elite Specs. The two classes that come to mind to me are Necro with a Witchdoctor elite spec that uses Torch for heals or even Dual Torches. The Other is Theif with a new Bard Spec that could use focus. Would love to see the net widen and not restrict us to Druid.
If that Thief idea comes to pass, it will be hilarious considering my Thief uses Merciless weapons…
I’ll whip everyone back into shape whether they like it or not!
Hah. Well it would be nice to give thief a different role. They are great on single target dps but outside of occasional stealth, they lack versatility. People even prefer mesmers now for doing escort.
They said in the Fractal CDI thread ages ago that they dont have the resources to dedicate to an armor for fractals. Seeing that legendary armor is taking almost 2 years of development to come out, I would have to assume thats true.
This is correct. Art resources that would be spent on a set of armor that works across all races and professions would be better spent on creating new fractals. However, new weapons are much easier to make.
Hi Benjamin, can you briefly explain your development process for making new armour? Surely modelling up the 6 items or 12 for male vs female doesn’t take that long, even with the various scale differences of the different races? What software do you guys use to develop your design themes? I would be fascinated into hearing a bit about it and the reasons on your end why it is so time consuming.

Well, I’m glad you’re happy OP, but I must say, I’m surprised that you are convinced by this. It’s yet another example of Anets’ utter tokenism when it comes to minorities, sexuality or gender. It’s like they sat around a table and went, ok, what box can we tick today. I got it, it’s wednesday today so transgender!
I have absolutely no issue with any of these things in game, but at least implement it in a convincing and sensitive way. The whole “sya” thing is hilariously poorly done. The conversation is on loop ad nausem so I’m quite surprised you’ve never heard it before. It literally lasts about 3 mins. Is that really good enough for such a sensitive subject? 3 mins of a generic female NPC repeating an inane conversation full of meaningless platitudes?
“No other game I’ve played has even brushes the topics that Guild Wars 2 so effortlessly presents”. Oh you’re right about that, but not in the way you think. The topic is not brushed, merely coughed at. Frankly, if I was trans gendered, I’d be rolling my eyes at such a feeble act of tokenism. Also, Bioware has done this and LGBT stories and characters way before Anet thought it was the in thing to do. They also did it so much better with depth and sensitivity. You should check out the Mass Effect and Dragons Age series.
I guess you missed this prior comment in this thread:
Well if you watched the Guildwars 2 streaming like guild chat. You would know that one person is responsible for creating Symon/Sya. That person is also a transgender goes by the name of Teddy Nugyen. Just so you all know that don’t
Doesn’t really change the point though.
My favourite part about this is where a group of individuals can grief that event by burning down the octovine when other areas are not ready too. Great planning and design that one.
I think a lot of people here have obviously not come to terms with the fact that MMO’s are not for them. Single player games for you guys only please.
What I read was “MMO’s are not for people I don’t agree with”
No, MMO’s are for EVERYONE who wants to play it. So if a lot of people don’t want to see something, it’s in the MMO’s best interest to cater to them as well as the people who do want to see it. In this case, Anet can do both by giving the people the OPTION to see backpacks/auras/etc. or to disable them.
No one (or at least none that I saw) is asking to remove huge obstructive armor and accessories. You worked for it. You earned it. Show it off to everyone who cares to see! But if people are annoyed by it, they have their right to disable it. And you would be none the wiser, so it won’t hurt your feelings. The problem is this. Where would such an absurd request stop? And let’s be real. It is a totally selfish and absurd request. What If I don’t like seeing Sparkly legendaries? Shall we have an option to remove those too? I mean GreatSwords are massive right? Get rid of Twilight and Eternity, they are obnoxious. You know, that chaos gloves glow really annoy me, I demand a slider now to remove them! Actually come to think of it, remove all spells from the game. The over the top effects are not to “my” taste. Do you see where this could go?
Instead of asking the devs to put time into something so utterly trivial when we are crying out for real , new content, why not just IGNORE the backpacks. You are asking for special treatment for something 99% of players couldn’t give a toss about; yet something that would no doubt take time and resources to implement. We don’t even have Build Templates implemented yet and the LFG system is still hideously flawed. It’s things like this that MOST players would like the Devs to put effort into, outside of new Content. Your request is a 1st world issue if ever there was one.
You’re going over to taste a little bit too much in your argument. We’re still talking about backpacks and what they are disrupting in the gameplay, actually hindering to see certain game mechanics because of how big, glowy and obnoxious they are. The word obnoxious is personal, because that’s what I think they are, that’s not the point in the argument.
Except that’s exactly the point that you seem to be missing. “You” find the backpacks distrupting. I certainly don’t, for example. The issue is what if another person finds Huge Greatswords disrupting or other areas or effects of the game? Where would it stop? If the Developers complied with every single specific request to a players taste, we would simply see no more content as they’d be locked up for months trying to comply with all these silly requests. The art style of GW2 is what it is. What you are requesting basically tells me that this simply isn’t to your taste. That’s fine, but this isn’t really an issue for ANET, but really one for you. It would be like telling Tim Burton; “Hey Tim, in your next movie, stop doing all those Gothic styles, they are obnoxious to me”.
Can you even give a specific example of where a backpiece hindered you seeing a certain game mechanic? Truthfully?
I think a lot of people here have obviously not come to terms with the fact that MMO’s are not for them. Single player games for you guys only please.

Lets face it..nearly every single one of these characters in either destinys edge or the new crew – what ever the hell they are called – are hardly classic characters. Even by video Game standards. Particularly risible are Kasmeer and Marjory and their forced and totally unconvincing “relationship”. Probably the only two characters with any depth of note are coincidentaly Asurans. Both Zoja and Taimi have more personality and seem much more believable. Even though I dislike the personality and her precocious nature, Taimi knocks spots off the others for her characterisation.
Rytlock could also have been interesting but the teen mag style writing he is lumbered with relegates him to the forgettable pile too. I will never forget the ludicrous cop out in HOT when asked how he got to be a REV and the simple answer was, no time to discuss that now. It was absurd and proved to me that the writers didn’t really have an idea of how to explain it.
The rest are totally forgettable. Iv’e said it before and I’ll say it again; ANet could do worse than look at how Bioware creates characters that we do have a connection with, because the hollow husk they are currently pushing as our band of friends, don’t cut it.

Another case of taking a generality and trying to apply it to a specific case as the phrase refers to all the activities or class of activities in the game. .
Yet in your opinion, it shouldn’t apply here?? LOL
Riggggghhhhhhhhht
As others have pointed out you are allowed to do other things while waiting for it to be active. In regards to “no more waiting to have fun” you have taken that senteance out of contex. Whenever a-net have said that they, have refered to waiting for a specific class to do dungeons and similar stuff NOT events
Mike O’Brien 5 months ago:
“The April update is about reducing grind, clearing away some tedium, getting quickly to the fun, and improving rewards. We’ve always said that Guild Wars should be about having fun rather than preparing to have fun, and this will be a back-to-our-roots kind of update”
I just don’t get why the collection side of things apparently takes so long. Like design a few icons, go to an existing NPC or take part in an existing event..like..there was nothing legendary about this journey at all. It was just pointless port and fetch. Then a hideous crafting sink like always…. When you see what some other devs do in similar time frames with much less manpower, makes you wonder wtf these 300 people do day in day out.
Are you camping the mobs in the right place … Moa’s are not exactly hard to find or in short supply.
Yes. I’m just saying that when the Moa comes on ROTATION I have either not been online or the middle of something else. The point is, it’s an unnecessary drawn out timer rotation for no other reason than to flesh out a very minor event..cos “content”
World bosses are on rotation too. So are most meta events. You can’t plan when a temple in Orr is open. Is that better?
This is a minor content patch not a meta event. Anet said “no more waiting around to have fun” – result = waiting around for “fun”.
Is that better?
Are you camping the mobs in the right place … Moa’s are not exactly hard to find or in short supply.

In the OP you dident say you were killing the creatures to get it to spawn mate.
I said that “We sit and wait for mobs to spawn trying to get the main legendary’s to pop”. I thought it was just common sense that people would know we would be killing the mobs, seeing as I specified I only had ONE boss left to kill……. But guess not…
Are you camping the mobs in the right place … Moa’s are not exactly hard to find or in short supply.

In order to spawn a bloodstone creature, lets say moa for example, when the moa is on rotation it wont just spawn by itself, you have to kill regular moa and after some kills one of the moas transforms into bloodstone moa. So if you just sit and wait for it to spawn, well I have bad news for you son ^^
Yeah I have news for you “son”. Reread the original post. I said we wait for MOBS to spawn that we kill to get the legendary to pop….
The point is, the entire thing is on a pointless timer and it is “waiting around to have fun”
Comprendez?
Or they could just let us SELL these ascended matts?
It’s possible..just mystifying. Personally, I would wonder how you could mourn the death of such a poorly written, universally panned character in a game which is heavily criticised for misteps in characterisation and story. It’s hardly Sophie’s Choice now is it?
Well sorry to inform you that the dungeon team was disabled years ago and that Anet are focusing on creating different scales of fractals
Yes but not very active at that either, almost a year after hot and we got 1 new fractal
and overhauls to every other fractal
Yes, these “overhauls” were simply so indepth and really changed the entire feel and the way you play the fractal weren’t they? Let me see…fixation on Dredge and er…that’s it? It’s still a hideous, boring , drawn out hp sponge fight. Nothing for underground, Aqua, uncat.
They took down the HP of Subject 6 in themo and er..not much else. Molton Boss..well they moved the point to were the boss spawns at the start of the fight. Atherblade..well Rox and Braham move a bit quicker. WOW, such creative and deep reworkings!!!
Oh they changed swamp…I’ll give you that. Except they made Mossman utterly irrelevant and made the Bloom fight so drawn out, it became boring.
Hardly Stellar and efficient work in 3/4 years….
T4 fractals are the stepping stone for raids i.e. Mai Trin and Swampland for
Except that they aren’t at all.
Really lol at all the QQ threads on how difficult Swamp is at T4 it’s quiet funny, and learning mechanics is learning mechanics, you don’t need something to learn the mechanics of a fight besides doing the actual fight. All the raid bosses are easy, all that is required is learning the mechanics.
and have enough dps or you will wipe anyway, come back when you beat all raid bosses with only staff guardians using nomads. ( then will your statement all thats required is learning the mechancis be true mate )
I only see one boss ever cause a wipe from not enough dos and that’s Gorseval so gg, if you are having issues with dos on the other bosses it’s a player issue not a raid issue
Oh can you please send me a video link to the raid team all nomad wearing ( I make it easier for you and say any class can join not just guardians) that completed all the bosses please.
Edit
I just continue this since all nomad wearing team can complete any fractal knowing the mechanics, but the same aint true for raids.Let’s see here there was a full Nomads Ele VG kill, I believe they killed other bosses as well, there were clears using 4 players on multiple bosses which means 60% less dps than a full meta 10 man raid, bosses beat in full greens which is again less dos than full ascended geared raid teams. So with the lack of dos they still beat raid bosses. Again it’s player issues not the enrage timers.
You realise you are describing such a tiny minority as to almost be insignificant. Those guys have raids on farm and literally do nothing else for hours on end. They wouldn’t even make up 1% of the player base. You’re making it sound like this is common. It simply is not.
Well sorry to inform you that the dungeon team was disabled years ago and that Anet are focusing on creating different scales of fractals
Yes but not very active at that either, almost a year after hot and we got 1 new fractal
Which is boring as sin, already feels old and has tiresome mechanics.
Really Anet? Then why put the current bloodstone creature event on a 3 hour rotation? I’m still waiting to get Moa and it never seems to be on rotation when I’m free. I’ve joined squads on the hunt for these creatures and guess what? We sit and wait for mobs to spawn trying to get the main legendary’s to pop. It reminds me of the earliest MMO’s where people would camp a boss.
Please avoid doing this crap in future. It’s an insane waste of everyones time.
(edited by Mitch.4781)
It’s a nice map, but for the life of me, I will never understand why they think mobs sniping you in mid air and you plummeting to your death is “fun”. It’s just pointless, annoying and jest makes me angry.
But what made me play GW was the freedom to do what I wanted solo, in a group, whatever. That all died with HoT.
What exactly could you solo before that you now cannot? How did that die exactly?
Without a Taxi go in to any HoT map and complete the meta. The maps are built like mass co-op encounters. I ran all over the world pre HoT and never bothered with servers, it’s a complete shift.
Rewards are participation based not kill based and farming those maps is a nightmare on an unpopulated map when in vanilla GW2 I could and did go anywhere I wanted to do what I wanted.
Um.. But we’ve had the taxi system for yonks? People taxi’d in for Orr, Teq, Triple Trouble etc etc. All way before HOT was even out. If anything HOT made it easier because of the squad system. There are still dozens of events and encounters that can be solo’d in HOT. I literally spent the weekend doing just that.
But what made me play GW was the freedom to do what I wanted solo, in a group, whatever. That all died with HoT.

I will never buy another expansion for this game.HoT taught me that Anet cannot do expansions for GW2 well. It took them 6 MONTHS to fix everything they broke when they released HoT. And they canceled one of HoT many selling points, New Legendary Weapons. I wont buy into that BS again.
Nope, GW2 as is for me here on out. If they want to drop new zones/story and charge for entry into them that is one thing. But to do another complete overhaul of the game? No I will not partake.
we don’t even have the game engine fixed yet. Really, what did we get that we paid for? Not a whole lot.
What exactly did they break? How did they fix it ?
I certainly would not pick ele for beginners. Absolutely not. For two reasons. One, your survivability is extremely low. Ele is extremely unforgiving of mistakes. If you miss a green in VG or get hit by seekers – Dead. It’s high damage, high risk. Secondly, as an ele you will required to complete certain tasks with the raids. You will be asked to do orbs in Gors, which has a fair amount of pressure on it. You will have to do Greens on VG if you’re staff. Sabatha, you’ll no doubt be on cannons etc etc. All of these are very important to the success of the raid so, no not for beginners.
I wouldn’t choose Druid either because you will no doubt be the main healer. Again, not a role for noobs. If you are very familiar with it, Rev would be ok, as long as you are quick with break bars. I wouldn’t really advise Necro either. You need to be top at condi damage and again you will have tasks required of you. You will no doubt be on Greens for VG and you will be asked to snare a spirit in Gors and clear adds. Also you will use epidemic a lot and if you’re not confident with the range you can very easily kill your teammates in sloth and be very unpopular.
But for sheer lack of stress, go PS warrior. It’s always needed to the point some groups take two. Secondly you won’t be required to do anything specific except keep your might up and help with breakbars. You won’t do circles in VG, just watch for getting ported by blues if you’re in melee range. You won’t have to eat mushrooms in Sloth or snare a spirit in Gors. It’s basically place your banners and do your rotations as much as you can.
The other poster is right in advising you do the first encounter of Wing 3. It has a high success rate for newbies. Trio is ok, but it seems to be hard to find pugs looking for that specific encounter as most people who do SLoth tend to do trio quite quickly after. But tbh, if I was you, I would try and get practise in VG. It is rewarding, trains you well with mechanics and is probably still, the most common run boss. Plenty of access to training etc.
(edited by Mitch.4781)
I suggest some of these people trying to take a power necro into raids, either as dps or tank. See how quickly you get hit by the door.
Since it is my main, if I’m not in a guild, i won’t get a chance raid, and training squads wont accept me.
I can switch to other classes, and have told other people that, but all they wanna talk about is me switching my necro to vipers. The one thing I say I will not(I spent 300 g to swap and hated how it plays). But they never hit me back up to bring another class.
Any clue what’s up with that?
I certainly understand the Op’s frustration, however most people are meta sheep. They only want the exact meta comp, because it’s been proven to work. Deviations or experimentation aren’t done by the average raider, only the ones who have the spare time and know the mechanics. I suggest joining one of those guilds, Like king and DnT. They have more tolerance for slight deviations of the meta than sheeple it seems.
Best thing you can do is know the fight, and your class/build, so that when the time comes to perform you know you at least got your part covered.
It’s sad but that’s how it is. If people are that desperate for new raiders, but cant accept a slightly lower dps build, or a good build that is slightly off meta, then don’t waste your time. Chances are they still have a lot to learn if they can not think for themselves.
Well like always, you can create your own groups. Firstly, after chronotank, Necro tank is very popular and no one will get upset at a decent necro tank. So you’re flat at wrong on that. We actually occasionally have a power necro in our raid sometimes and he’s very decent. He isn’t massively experienced but we usually one shot VG and Gors. He is in a different time zone, yet makes extra effort to come and I have a lot of respect for that. Personally, I’m more likely to take someone like that than a meta build who is not punctual, doesn’t listen or gets kittenty with other players.
However, part of a balanced team is you have to prepare and be able to alternate depending on what the fights themselves actually require and what other people in your raid are bringing. He knows viper necro is very good so he is making an alternate set in his own time. Doesn’t mean his power set will be redundant, but he will have more options. Apart from Gors, most of the other fights are not huge DPS races anyways but rely on Mechanics. As a power necro , he can still bring say, epidemic to Sloth and epi the slublings back to Sloth and use plague signet. But Knowing when to drop the posion and when you’re fixated is more important than any of that. Dead dps don’t dps; no matter their class.
People seem to only see things from their point of view. A raid relies on 10 people to do a role and consistent raiders should be able to change and swap roles as and when required. It’s just as unfair for you to stubbornly stick to your preferred class and role, just as it is for people to dismiss you because of it.
Compromise is everything.
(edited by Mitch.4781)
new swamp is also a faceroll with 4necro and a druid… only annoying part is the onslaught.. oh well
Why would you run 4 necros there?
Because it’s easier to play and people tend to like to cheese when possible.
Epidemic is very useful on the adds phase and necros just have higher survivability. 4 is pretty much overkill though.
My only suggestion , no matter what class you bring, equip one stun break at least. Getting knocked down and then stuck in his stomp is the biggest killer in every pug I have run. Stun break and the rest is faceroll.
I wonder why they are technically limited to what they put in materials storage? Like why not just make another line? I’d be curious as to the reasons behind this.
(edited by Mitch.4781)
Would be a really great nice feature. Just like Pvp spectating.
This may shed some light on depositable/crafting materials:
Anyone know how Anet decides which items are considered Depositable Materials? by HGLatinBoy in Guildwars2
LinseyMurdock
It very much has to do with space not clutter (although that did factor in a small way, pre-search bar). We are technically limited in how much we can put in there, so I try to stay pretty conservative in what I will consider eligible. My general rule of thumb is that the item must be used in crafting recipes, not be a component (something made of multiple other things, though refining is an exception), and it not be a niche item or have a very narrow use (like doubloons). There are a couple of factors that have led there to be items in material storage that don’t follow these guidelines, such as, but not limited to: People that aren’t ME and who were not trained on our standards BY ME have added items to material storage that shipped before I found out about it. Once an item has been added to material storage, it cannot be removed EVER. Like, for reals, EVER, unless you want to delete players items on Live. Which is why Xunlai Electrum continues to linger at the moment. I was TOLD that we would be doing the rest of the disciplines to 500 fast enough to make adding XE to storage for initial launch worth it (adding it at launch before it was used meant that I could organize it with the rest in a more sensible way since we can’t reorder storage either).
Players have, in the past, lobbied us to add items to storage and we agreed with the argument enough to add it. So if you guys want to make a strong case for any specific material, I’m willing to listen and explain if the answer is no. You might not like my reason, but at least I’ll have one.
Well now we have yet ANOTHER currency, that we cannot stow. Blood Rubies. So they have to take up a slot in players bags or bank until they are spent. So maybe the common sense thing to do is NOT keep adding more currencies if they cannot be stowed and reuse one from the dozens that are already in use?
I am an average player and have been at this for an hour now.
NOT FUN !
Why did you make this fight so hard ?
This is all you do. As soon as the special action key becomes available, select it. Then you will have a red beam connected to the crystal. All you literally do is walk to the edge of the room until she comes along side you, then run with her while your red beam is directly on her, thus destroying her shield. Then kill her. Rinse and repeat.
That is it.
So PS warriors do 25k?
Gaile, did you send in a ticket to yourself? Lol..I’m just teasing. Hope you get your stuff back
honestly, i never heard of Legion. is it MMO ? got WvW kinda battle ?
It’s the expansion to WOW
Um . . . you know it’s possible to play more than one game at a time . . . don’t you? I never did understand this kind of thinking. These are games. Not exclusive relationships where you dare not cheat on your significant other.
Of course, some players make me wonder. But let’s not go there. -shudder-
On that note, no. I won’t be playing it. Haven’t play that MMO since Death Wing showed. I forget the expansion. And I don’t want to remember.
I often will play console games, or civilisation in between gw2..But investing time in 2 or more mmo’s is tricky unless you literally don’t do anything else.
I just wish Anet would take some of WOW’s features. The ability to save builds AND armours, duelling, etc etc blh blah
Is this like Wildstar, Archage, BDo, Tera…they come they go.
Ok there we go then. A RAID BOSS yes raid boss, Vale guardian is easier then Bloomhunger. There I said it.
Stepping stone? My kitten . Not true in any sense. The dev who made it absolutely did not play it himself (nor did he often play other fractals) cause there is no correlation in feel, execution, whatsoever with any old fractals, including mai trin. If this is the future of fractals, ouch! Secondly ’don’t worry other fracs won’t be changed? Snowblind was also made a lot more annoying. Luckely is more doable then bloomhunger, but they share the same ‘annoying facto’. Situations that are so overpowered that you are helpless no matter what, unless you hit that 0,01% like bilbo had to destroy the Ring from Sauron. If we fail in VG we know why. IF I fail in Mai trin I know why. If i die in Bloomhunger I sometimes know why. Most of times, there’s no correlation wich a opssible wrong action, and the outcome. This means, if i did any other action, it would not have fixed the failure. (Unless perhaps switching to perma dodge thief, but that cannot be the goal of fractals, forcing ppl to limited amount of fractals). I changed my trais 8×. I now have a build with that i feel (druid) is close enough to the way bloomhunger works. There’s still situations that this build cannot fix, and it has more dodges then classes like necro, engie. Snowblind has this same random kitten now with aoe, knockdowns and frostbite (if they hit you at same time you are poop, playing well won’t change that, unless longbow ranger standing in corner of room away from boss and hoping he doenst come to you. That being said, being a very good player, and having very good player in party, usually improves the chance to still beat him, SO much on snowblind that it’s partially forgiven (the annoyance factor still is there, the mechanic is not that fun rather then annoying. There’s way to fix that. Mai trin is pure genius. Yes it’s annoying, but so rewarding if you play it well. Sure Bloomhunger isn’t out long, but I play gw2 long enough (and bloomhunger 4 hour, yes 4 hours in total already), to know he’s overtuned, and not even a little bit.
Breakbar is overtuned (to much stun required), hp is overtuned (with so much hard mechanics, a high hp bar is the worst way to make it harder. Bug is a devil. Whisps not working at crucial time is suicide by devs. Poison aoe simply is to big, and to hard to wipe out fast unless everyone is power longbow ranger. I can go on and on, but Bloomhunger is wrong in every way. Except perhaps the walk him from X whisp to another, including adds who support him strongly. Makes for interesting mechanic. However the numbers supporting the skillset of bloomhunger is the most crazy dev input i’ve seen. His skills respawn to fast (though this perhaps is not the biggest issue). His skills are to big aoe. His charge is good, but some other skills are just meh. The random confusion you get (instability?) makes the frac even harder then it already should be. It’s just trolling on an already hard situation (aka force ppl to take cleanse spamming). Another issue: if you dont have swiftnes or mobility you can’t really do you thing in this fractal. This is a big balance issue. The small poison aoe’s the he spams is ok and not ok. IF that where his strongest attack, sure np, keep it good balanced. Same goes for most of his abilities. But with all the things grouped together, it’s simply to strong. This guy stole the skill ‘Impossible Odds from sHiro’ Shaved the cooldown 10x, Added 7 skills with also that level of ‘legendary impact’, and now comes together as one Boss. Not 1 but 7 Impossible odd like skills, that hugely impact the battle. To much. Not even Raid bosses are this bad. Now that I think of it: Gorseval is ALSO easier. Yes easy to die, but if you know what to do, big chance for succes. Eeasy to know and see moments to dodgE. His room wide aoe killing = predictable after a while, counterable, and mechanic wise good implemented. Bloomhunger is the opposite. Worst implementation in mmo-scape i’ve seen.
My dream punishment for the lead dev: he is forced to pug with ppl who only own the game for 1 month, and he must succeed Bloomhunger 10 in a day at lvl 77+. My brain says he will fail (and he should know every mechanic very well). That doesn’t correspond with community tuned instance, but more like a dev experiment. Failed experiment if i may say so.
PS there bug where the whisps (that if not place wiped the party) do not work, is the worst bug in the world. You first invent a world breakign hard boss, to then BUG ppl who are an inch away from succes. Unintended or not, shipping like this, kill the love for gw2 in me.
This reads like a Donald Trump speech…
Seriously though, definitely not a failed experiment and VG is way harder than Bloomhunger. My group beat it on the 3rd try without an issue. Debating overtunements is a useful part of discussion (I happen to agree that he has a bit too much health considering the invulnerability mechanics), but claiming the “experiment” failed is utter tripe.
The “wipe if you dont place the wisps fast enough” is a mechanic, not a bug. Gotta be quick about it.
Also, the dev would totally succeed as he knows the mechanics inside out and has been explaining them left and right on reddit.
I would try to explain more but it’s really hard to separate your statements from that wall of text that reads more like a Donald Trump rant than anything coherent
Can’t we have ONE corner of the internet where someone doesn’t bring up Trump or Hilary. Especially in such an irrelevant manner. PLEASE?
You have 12k hp on an ele. In a raid..one mistake and you’re screwed. The nerfs were unwarranted and also really screwed up the flow and feel of the rotation.
It’s just another tedious and annoying mechanic that Anet insist on putting into this game.
Um Necro is one of best classes in the game. It has NEVER been in more demand than it is now. If they gut Epidemic like they did with ELE staff, then it may be back to the early vanilla days.
If they nerf epidemic, you can say goodbye to necros from most raid runs. They’ve already kittened over ele. Expect the same with necro.
Every single one of them was a chore. I was doing the shooting gallery the other day to get the bronzer achieve and mobs started attacking me WHILE I’m doing the adventure. How can this be a thing? It’s like they deliberately went out of their way to kitten people off.
I just think it’s a shame that this game is nearing 4 years of age yet so much of the map has yet to be uncovered.
“people dont seem to understand that there are other reasons for disliking all these mastery pts, that just because people with many hope that the casuals will never catch up.
it’s like in any singleplayer game, people want to get a reward when doing something hard, and be encouraged to get better. By adding more Anet is just encouraging people to stay bad. at least I like to play well in any aspect of the game, and to get a reward for doing so”
Again, how does how other people get mastery points, have anything to do with you?
