I miss them. I simply cannot understand why Anet would abandon them. Don’t get it at all.
Ok, so i seem to be having a certain issue with this boss. I am generally one of the ones that is assigned to the green circle and I nearly always get there. However, I am sometimes teleported which occasionaly prevents me from getting there. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Is there a set pattern to this?
This is literally the main thing that spoils this for me and no doubt really annoys my guild mates. I left a raid last night because I felt I was screwing it up for everyone else and went to bed in a bad mood. Otherwise I have high dps and generally knowing the rest of the fight and situation really well.
Any tips and constructive advice would be appreciated.

It’s not a case of good or bad. Literally EVERYBODY does it. I’m just saying I find it pretty pointless personally.
Why is this a thing? Patch this crap pls.. It’s just annoying and totally unecessary. More peopel die trying to jump up on the pole than by simply fighting him normally. Honestly, it really is an easy fight.

Currently I play Druid and my chrohomancer. Druid is full ascended, but I don;t liek being the healer and im working to make the chrono fully ascended too as that seems to be always in demand for the alcatracity.
Which classes have a hard time getting a positon in a pug? Any classes that get the autoboot? Which ones are in big demand? Do most people get booted without full ascended?
Why did they actually REPLACE the map though? I coudl see a place for it as an additional map, but why get rid of the Vanilla one? So much content has been removed from thsi game. Weird.
Hm, not that I can think of. There’s at least one for every other race, but I’m not recalling any charr. It’s probably because sexuality (straight, gay, or otherwise) doesn’t really come up much in game, so there’s really no reason to assume charr culture is anti-gay.
Of course, we’d have an example if Logan and Rytlock would just profess their love for each other :P

Well I’ve said it before, but I think Anet is full of amazingly creative and talented people that seem to lack common sense. There are so many things that almost seemed designed to annoy you. Forcing people into frustrating and fiddly adventures to complete collections, the constant obsession with jumping puzzles, the 10k drinks thing…the gated matts. Sometimes it feels if everything is designed grind and forcing the player down a certain route. They certainly seem to have obliterated their original manifesto that’s for sure.
Also, annoying is not challenging. Everywhere you go in HOT, you suffer from mobs everywhere with CC . Knockbacks and pulls. They can punt you off the cliff edges, fear you into scenary where u get stuck, but you cannot do the same to them. It’s like vanilla Orr. It just annoys people. There is hardly a moment where u can take stock and look around and enjoy the environments or take a breath. This isn’t challenge, it’s just irritating.
Even when HOT was launched and they had that RIDICULOUS hp requirements for the Elites. The obsession with PVP yet no real new content other than Stronghold. I mean TWO modes and the same maps since launch?? REALLY?
However, at the end of the day, I got my moneys worth. If the game shut down tomorrow, I have a ton of PS4 games to play. Overall, I did enjoy HOT, but there were so many times “I thought to myself when playing, why did they do this?”

Funny someone should mention this. Was doing the prologue again as getting all the elite specs on all my alts and the whole Rytlock think is hilariously poorly done.
I’m a Revenant “just cos” right ok? Accept it. Whether it’s something they plan to flesh out later or they don’t have an explanation for it atm, I don’t know. Either way, it was very poorly done and it shows how far behind the curve Anet are with their writing and storytelling compared to someone like Bioware.

Somehow, I don’t see how this game will ever really make it in the e-sports arena. Game’s just not designed with that in mind, and it feels like all the effort to try and force it into a mold that isn’t likely to ever fit will end up being wasted time and money when it’s all said and done.

Honestly, I wish to God, they would give the jumping puzzles a rest. If i wanted to play Mario I would. At the very LEAST, please don’t gate gear or collection requirements by them.

It’s funny how all these things are considered “hilarious” behind the safety of a computer screen. People are often hesitant to be so hilarious in real life. Can’t think why……..
Trash talk is a big part of PvP and while I am sure there are some dedicated PvPers who hate it I feel most competitive players like it. Some people take trash talk to far and get personal but I’d rather play a game where I’m occasionally told to go kill myself then a game where people are too afraid to even boast-troll.
That said the OP should probably play a different game mode. His examples were extremely tame and impersonal in nature. They hardly count as abuse. Put a helmet on.
So because I am unwilling to take direct personal abuse with good humour, I should stop playing a mode I otherwise enjoy? So being told to " Get kittened" is tame and impersonal is it? Wow, you sound nice. One can only imagine the type of stuff you would like to say if let off the leesh. I know this sounds like a brand new idea to you and probably out of your intellect bandwidth, but why not punish those violating the rules they signed up to when installing and playing the game?? There must be some way around it. I actually rage quit last night and I can’t think of the last time I did that in a game since the old WOW days.
If Anet is so insistent on GW2 being an e-sport, then I’m baffled as to why there is so little variation or choice in the maps and modes.
I mean we literally have conquest..with the SAME maps since launch. One stronghold map and the courtyard which was probably the most ill conceived attempt at deathmatch I have played in any game ever. For example, just off the top of my head, even if you you used some instanced variants of certain PVP maps, liek part of Rata SUM for a Last Man standing mode or Deathmatch..Or capture the flag..ANYTHING NEW.
How hard can it be to make new maps? They are TINY. And why aren’t spirit watch and skyhammer in the league? You should look at what Rockstar have done with GTA online. There are SO many different forms of PVP. Capture the flag, deathmatch, last man standing..etc etc. These are off the top of my head. In a ll there are nearly 20 different forms of PVP in that game.
I don’t mind the desire to focus on pvp but at least actually show that you mean it. GW1 craps on gw2 from a great height in this regard. In living memory, I’ve never played a game that had SO much potential that literally consistently fails to come to fruition.

If you spend 90% of your time in PvE which the OP clearly does then you might think it’s the league that brought this out. PvP is always the hub of trash talk in any game and especially in GW2. In PvE players run by and rez you and give you a helping hand and that’s great but the league and the legendary backpiece have brought the PvE players into the lion’s den. You can always turn /m chat off in PvP you know. Problem resolved.
Um No, I’d say I split my time fairly evenly between the two. Since the league started I have been 90% pvp actually. Either way, it’s never been as bad.
The league really seems to have brought out the worst in people. The last few days I have seen stuff that goes beyond the simple “rekt” type of comments to full on personal verbal abuse.
For example, one match I played at the weekend had a chrono bunker running around with a rev and stomping on me shouting stuff like “get kittening rekt”. And “Don’t kitten with me”. The irony that she was playing meta bunker and always with someone seemed lost on her. Also constant abuse for using a dragonhunter at all. I rotate my classes, but using a DH really is an advert for attracting nasty comments.
Does the report feature for verbal abuse even work? I’d love to see some of these people get 3 day bans to cool off.

There was some dev information that they would not add raids to the lfg as they intended raids to be done by established groups, not by pug’s (or should that be “purs” “pick-up raid squad”?)
The reality is, people have been using lfg for Raids since day ONE! How they wouldn;t have perceived this is bewildering.

I agree that a lot of the elites are cheesey as hell..However, i won 3 games in a row last night, top scorer in all. All on my humble trap ranger.
It was especially gratifying taking down DH trappers with my regular build.
It’s amazing he couldn’t write that here and instead does it on a 3rd party forum……
and yet Reaper the elite with the most obnoxious visual skills known to man is still a thing…

What an absolute shame. The more they do to this game, the less interested I am in it. I have 12 level 80’s….1000’s of hours in this game.
I’ll stick with fallout 4 for the time being.
