The only reason anyone wants to duel in open world PVE is so they can show off and boost their ego.
And that’s the same reason that they will then use map chat to boast of their skills/leetness, and then the (sore) loser will respond/react, and then random players will ask them both to take their argument to PMs which, of course, they will not do. Result: salty map chat all round. Abuse, Mom insults, homophobic insults etc etc. Then there is the scenario where one player is using map chat to try to provoke someone into accepting a duel.
It’s all about ego. I’ve seen it in other games and it’s always ugly.
So no thanks.
You guys bring up how well knit the community is yet you ignore any opinion that’s not your own. So I’m going to fight back by politely bringing up all the good points that have been made, and showing that more then just I am interested in dueling. And again this is coming from a non duelist like I’ve said before. I want to see something going on in the cities!
1. Duel requests
People don’t want to duel and don’t want to be spammed by duel requests. I also don’t want to be spammed by duel requests as I only want to watch. I have no fear, however, because there is 0 chance there wouldn’t be a toggle for duel requests. I also think the toggle should be defaulted to don’t receive duel requests as it only makes sense.
If people are arguing that it’s not spam of duel requests they are fearful of, but spam in map chat I truly don’t understand. Blocking players will keep them out of your chat and they can’t send you duel requests if you have it off by default. So if anything it’s a handy filter for not having to deal with player’s that don’t share your interests.
2. You can duel, but can’t, but you can duel, but you can’t, but you can duel
There is no interest in a dueling feature, because people aren’t seen doing it in guild halls.
:/
How would people ever find out unless a streamer does it? It’s instanced you can no longer look for people if you go back to your guild hall with people. Also the guild would have to be progressed that far, it’s not an easy thing to do for everyone who is interested.
Just go to WvW. WvW goes on in WvW. Duelers don’t want to bother them, and don’t want to be griefed. This does not mean “Oh so it’s ok to bother the PvE people by putting PvP in their game?” How is this “PvP” changing your PvE? If you mean bothering people trying to do a meta like Octovine or anything similar I completely agree. They should not be able to duel there, because people will be trying to get others into a map to do semi hard content. That’s why I keep saying to only allow duels in cities and in lobbies to start with.
I’m also not opposed to there being a invisible barrier at banks, trading posts, mystic forges and the like to keep people from starting a duel there. I want to watch dueling. I don’t want to force other to watch dueling. To further this point role playing is a thing. There are obnoxious role players who attempt to make a victim scenario where they are just peacefully trying to role play and people are bothering them. Except the medium they are trying to role play in is map chat. So they’re definitely in the wrong, but you can’t say all role players are like that.
So why are you saying guild wars duelers will be so toxic? They haven’t even existed yet, are they not apart of this lovely community? You even went and made a forum to make what we’re asking for sound ridiculous, and most of you commented on it.
3. Balance
No balancing will be done for dueling. It’s just how it’ll be and everyone for it seems to understand that.
Can the people who don’t want dueling stop attacking people instead of their arguments please.
Action camera is off when you first begin the game.
Autoloot is off when you first begin the game.
Duel requests will be OFF when you first begin the game.
Yes that’s speculation, but that’s what is going to happen if it’s put in. That’s just how options are put in the game. You can choose to use this new feature, but we’re not making you use it if you don’t want to is the logic behind it.
So just let us have fun, and stop fighting what others want to do amongst themselves. You can’t argue spam, because you have to turn duel requests on first. You can’t argue scaling because I’ve said many times dueling should start off restricted to cities, and lobbies first.
I agree. I like the current balance and I had to buy a gaming mouse just to hit 6-0 >_< So instead please let us change the UI. I’d love my tonics and foods in one place. My 14 slot shared inventory gave me a tiny bit of organization by having my most important stuff all above everything. Now I see the benefits and want the rest nice and neat!
It doesn’t matter if it can be done. Half the PvE players will quit and that will end the game. The dev’s know this from the repeated squashing each time it is suggested.
Good luck getting them to end their own jobs. The hatred of dueling and all it entails is what’s wrong with it. It is intentionally not in the game, not missing from the game.
Please give more information on why people would quit playing if dueling was added into PVE? Would it be because of the losing and or unfairness of a build? Or would it be because of people play dirty?
This is the simplest solution that can make everyone happy: If you don’t like to duel, then don’t duel. If you do like to duel, then you can duel as long as you follow the rules that are already known to everyone who does duel.
It’s a psychological thing. It doesn’t matter whether it logically will affect players or not, players will see it and many will feel instinctively it is the start of a trend they wanted to avoid when they came to GW2. It’s why many kicked off (understandably) over ascended gear, because so many came here to avoid just that. It didn’t matter the stat jump was insignificant.
It’s all about perception for the wider community. Being able to ignore it in this case is irrelevant, whether logic supercedes that or not. Duelling has enough negative baggage from its history in other MMO’s for its mere presence in open world in this particular game, to have a negative effect.
Duelling in pve or open world is not something that will attract players in great numbers. It will however, scare off players. That’s a net loss. Beyond adding in new tech, there is no reason not to add it to the pvp lobby as a separate area or a queuing room, but there is no convincing reason to bring it into the pve/open world area either.
And I’m sure for every person that agrees with you there are others that disagree. It’s subjective. Some people really enjoy it in other games and would here as well. Some would not.
Regardless of the number of players it would drive off vs bring in, the number it brings in or gets to buy more gems will likely not off set the cost of putting it in place. Here are the things ANet would have to figure out:
1. How to keep spectators or people running by the duelers from giving the duelers buffs or removing conditions from them.
2. How to keep the duelers from giving each other buffs and removing each others conditions.
3. How to keep event scaling from counting duelers.
4. How to deal with people who want to duel where say Teq spawns or Shatterer spawns, etc. Do they just put specific areas in (some duelers want to be able to duel anywhere in the world)? Do they put a no-duel zone around the areas of world bosses? Are those no-duel zones even there when the world boss can’t spawn at all since those are on timers?
5. Do the duelists have the entire map to run around or are they limited to a zone?
6. How do duels work if a lot of people want to duel in the same area? Say the Black Citadel arena. That’s a lot of work for something that likely not a majority of players want in the game.
That’s before even considering how to minimize the risk of griefing by the trolls who give decent duelists a bad name.
1. This isn’t hard to deal with. They already have a limit where you can only spread to 5 players.
2. Same as one. How often are you giving enemies in free for all say the guild hall buffs?
3. Like I said in my post, have the option to duel only in major cities and lobbies. The maybe in core tyria since there’s a low population there / no meta that require an entire map of people.
4. Complete non issue because dueling requests should be off by default if it were to exist.
5. Limited to a zone. The most common dueling in games has a circle drawn into the ground and if you leave it you lose. People not in the duel aren’t affected and they don’t affect the people inside.
6. Multiple circles would be drawn and they wouldn’t effect each other. Or if that messes with people usually games have a message pop up saying you’re to close to another duel to start one here.
So there’s an answer to all your points while everyone is ignoring the point one on my original post. Not everyone wanted fractals, or raids, but it’s ridiculous to ask for less modes just because you think people who want to duel are toxic afterwards. And if you don’t think that why are you fighting so hard against people who just want to have fun?
The only thing I do in this game is PvE. I love fractals, raiding, and farming. If I PvP it’s in a daily room which I do not consider PvP. I haven’t even finished my non repeatable tracks in WvW for mystic clovers. However, I would love dueling in the game!
I don’t understand arguments where it’s already been talked about we can’t talk about it. People aren’t elephants, we will beat as many horses as we want if that’s how you see it. But it’s just plain shameful how unconstructive and bigoted this topic seems. So here’s my suggestions of how this can work with 0 chance of griefing from either side.
1. This is the biggest one. The option for dueling is by default set to not able to receive requests. This means you can’t argue spam, you have to enable it for that to be a possibility. If you’re going to argue against dueling please make an argument against this point first.
2. Absolutely no dueling in WvW or PvP. It makes no sense to duel there where the only possibilities are someone interfering / being seen as intentionally trying to hamper the other players by not helping in the current game mode.
3. Have dueling only available in cities and lobbies. This will prevent people from griefing maps that have hard metas by trying to make it a duel central map which I could see potentially happening. I could see it being ok in core tyria maps, but to start off with I think just cities and lobbies would be for the best.
And lastly my reason for wanting dueling. I just want something to watch while I jump around in my favorite cities. I’ve truly only seen a majority of good duelists. People who jump into map chat from duels are almost always reported. Everyone agrees that’s just not where that belongs. I also understand this games PvP is geared towards team style, but that argument is just moot because roaming in WvW is a thing. So I won’t be dueling, but I will fight for dueling since it’s a nice option.
The value of luxuary items is only valuable if they are expensive, example diamonds – and yes
Cultural armor has always been a hefty sum. Just because you’ve gotten all the skins now doesn’t mean they should be raised to make you feel better -_-
What?? The price of corn doesn’t raise the price of a permit you need to do something to your house in real life. Why would staple npc products like cultural armor and thermocatalytic reagents ever need to be raised due to random items on the trading post?
While I understand what OP is saying, I feel that a 300g vanity tag shouldn’t have that kind of power.
I completely disagree. You can’t make a bigger squad without that tag. Good commanders have to deal with trolls because they obviously only did it for vanity?
I understand that there may be a lot of bad commanders out there, but why would you want them leading you in the first place? Their existence shouldn’t take away the rights of players attempting to put something together.
They’ll move a tad when stopping and starting walking which is nice, but don’t stand still for any point of time. Or you’ll see your character put their hands together or something similar and see the horrible cringieness. With all the tassels on weapons having rag doll physics and looking great, I don’t see why these chains are made of one piece of plastic.
It’d be amazing for guild’s if there was a kick message you could set up.
This is a lot more shameful then most elitist I’ve met. You’re just being as toxic as they are on the opposite side of the spectrum. Being inflexible isn’t exactly a good quality when trying to raid with 9 strangers.
New to the store. Doesn’t matter if it’s a returning product.
This thread is extremely demanding and unrealistic. The news sites are promoting the game. You can’t assume everyone who got “insider information” is abusing it, as every company has serious systems in place for that. You can’t even realistically prove any of them are, because you have now way of knowing.
And Anet has no way of knowing either. Which I don’t think you understand. If one of these supposed “insider traders” exists and they’re beta testing the next area. How would Anet ever find out? Especially if they have two or more accounts.
So what I’m ultimately trying to say is you’re trying to hurt the game and it’s player’s more then you’re trying to help it.
You can say hiding the new items, and not giving the news sites information first will fix it, but it won’t. It will, however, invite unnecessary problems if Anet has to do more work that causes bugs, because beta testers aren’t actually using the items that are coming. Then news sites are potentially giving the wrong impression and speculations because of the sterilized worlds. Which is a very bad thing when you’re trying to get new players.
So since raising the prices on players in the Trading Post also isn’t supported by Anet, what you’re asking for is ridiculous. It honestly sucks that people are exploiting, but your suggestions assume the worst of players with information, and that’s not right.
Lastly it costs time and money to fix any problem in a company, no matter how small it seems. Since there will be absolutely no change to the price curve for these items, how can you say putting people on this is a good idea?
Got it. Used it immediately on my fully ascended main character to just unbar the slot. Ended up buying 5 character slots a week later because I wanted all 9 classes and a key runner. Absolutely no regrets. Even though I can’t stand leveling, and it would of helped me with the last two since I couldn’t tome until a bit of time passed. Hate leveling because I love end game content so leveling doesn’t help me learn mechanics of builds I don’t have access to yet.
It was insulting because John Smith is supposed to be the in-house economist. He should know what it is.
Let’s put things differently – how would you feel if your doctor – upon telling him that your medication is giving you palpitations asked “whoa – what are those?”. You would lose faith in him wouldn’t you?.
Sure, but that’s a terrible analogy – it’s more akin to your doctor not knowing about pulsatilla, or your mechanic about rolling coal. Sure, it’d be nice for them to be knowledgeable about tangential trends in popular culture because they’d have more insight into it, but it’s not part of the core knowledge base.
In this case, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for John to be unfamiliar with a pop culture term for penny shaving, which is something you would talk about as part of auditing round-off errors in an accounting class, not economics. I totally get that what economists know and what accountants know may not look all that different to an outsider, but I assure you the difference is pretty stark.
(Full disclosure: I’ve done a bunch of doctoral work in economics)
Or just that he made a funny joke that was in no way at your expense, and you want to crucify him for not giving out a sterile company response. Don’t ask for anet employees to give information and interact with the community more if you think it’s ok to treat others like that. No matter what his position, he has no direct obligations to you.
There’s an entire profession in the real world dedicated to predicting what prices will rise and fall. It’s by no means a stretch to say some players are always doing that without insider information. Once you amass enough gold, you become able to buy out supply of certain things that others can’t even afford. So while I’ll never be a person to play the trading post to make profit others will make forum posts that anet must have introduced ghastly grinning shields to drop prices.
So what I’m getting at is there’s no way for anet to stop “insider trading”. Even if they post the patch notes on this website first before giving it to the third party media ones, which they apparently do? You’ll still see the same market trends. And there’s no way to know if any or every game tester is abusing their information, and there’s no why to punish them or for us to know if they were punished.
Lastly, just play some content! This game is fun, stop being mean and raising prices on people.
I see what everyone is saying, and I agree. Light armor and heavy armor deserve trench coats as well
They are not bad, they are just not meta.
They were all toned down to eliminate the possibility of people just picking meta races. However there are some rare niches that certain racial skills help out a ton with, and that’s fine. Like Norns for the most part being able to solo heat room with no rods on any class. So yes they’re not meta, and it’s a big problem if any become meta.
However I agree with the OP that something should be done for the races. So my suggestion is that exclusive areas should be implemented to all the major cities. I know the content would be found and consumed immediately with guides like Dulfy. But I would love it if they added something like that with a medium sized story behind it and didn’t say anything about it in the patch notes. And they by no means need to be equal size and content per city. That’s what plagued personal story and just isn’t how meaningful interactions are done.
The areas could change and progress the hidden story too. So you might miss some parts, but there’s always people like Wooden Potatoes to catch us up. I think something like that would add the cool stuff we want.
It also triggers in Lion’s Arch if someone uses certain tonic abilities near you. I think the wintersday holiday light golem can do it with a ground pound. It’ll never move you as you’re not in the costume brawl, but it will activate.
The price you pay is for the luxury of not having to walk to the asura gate. Why is this so hard to understand? Yeah it doesn’t take that much time, but many players feel the cost is acceptable.
No need to start being rude, you’re not being attacked by a suggestion. I want this because it’s nice flavor text and helps people with high load time.
Oh and a wide variety of player tips on loading screens would be cool. I heard that it’s usually the same one. I know /wiki isn’t widely known to new players.
I’m not asking for waypoint costs to be eliminated. You can already move city to city with no cost, so I think it would be cool for waypoints to reflect that.
Here’s how I see it. Your waypoints are free in major cities because there is no danger and your character might just be walking to that different part of town. So since you can get to another city for free from there using asura gates the same logic can be applied.
To clarify it would just be free from city to city, since it’s safe to assume your character would use an asura gate when you’re not controlling it. So if you feel that invalidates the guild discount then oh no I guess. I just want it easier for my friends and guildies with bad load times. Also oddly enough the royal terrace pass is the one I decided to get.
So for the most part people know that you can get to Lion’s Arch no matter what and go to a different major city to lessen the cost of waypoints, but lots of people have long load times. I don’t, but I also don’t see why it costs something to go from major city to major city. You can’t go where you haven’t been and you can only map complete them once, so it’s in no way game breaking by any means.
Plus most guilds already have the discount on waypoints. So anyway I think it’s a tiny quality of life change that’s easy to implement. So I want to throw it out there.
For me, I imagine transmutation charges as something that exists in the GW2 NPC universe. So a ridiculous proportioned mallet would intimidate enemies, but the person wielding it would feel the same mass, and swing of their age old trusty war hammer they transmuted. So with that logic I’m ok with any skin. Even an inflatable squeaky mallet which I would love to have immediately, if put in the game. But for some skins I agree the part you hold is just way too thin. Looks like it would kill your hands.
whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
How do you not have one thing you want to craft.
Where are you getting 500 from? It’s the same as any legendary except the gifts are different. You still only need 250 mystic coins. I’ve made the Nevermore.
You can’t blot out armor in Pve or WvW at will (WvW will automatically do this in stressed areas where big fights happen) , you can only do that in PvP, as shown in a screenshot I posted,
You can set everyone to greyish pink default armor in pve.
Yes but that does not get rid of the wings or particle effects.
Yes that’s what the entire forum is about… You only mentioned armor and I wanted to clarify that that statement was false.
I fully agree with a slider option or a way to remove backpieces from the game, as long as I can also have a slider option or a way to remove all toons that do not have any flashy legendaries or backpieces. I think it’s fair, no? You get to remove the shinies. I get to remove the non-shinies. I like it when things are fair.
That is fair. It’s just harder to implement. But I wouldn’t mind at all. You might see me though since I have the Nevermore. But I think we’re going strictly backpacks, and auras here so maybe not.
You can’t blot out armor in Pve or WvW at will (WvW will automatically do this in stressed areas where big fights happen) , you can only do that in PvP, as shown in a screenshot I posted,
You can set everyone to greyish pink default armor in pve.
What about armor then? We can already blot that out :o Whatever will happen when legendary armor comes out. The game will just massively lose players. Such a sad fate. Hope you guys enjoy it for a couple more months T^T
And you seem to be taking one thing that someone else said, and think that means toggle is out the question.
How would people feel if Anet removed visuals from legendaries, chak eggs the bee item and poly luminescence items?
They ruin immersion, hard to see and blah blah blah too? Or do people get to show them off because they’re worth more?
It’s guild wars 2, its a fashion war. If you remove peoples ability to flaunt it here, then there’s another game they can go flaunt it on so to speak.
I see most people arguement is “but i cant see in a JP”….. Have you guys tried like, waiting for the guy with wings to move on? You don’t have to run ontop of a norn with wings to do a JP, you CAN wait for them to move or better yet, zoom all the way in to first person mode and run strait through them….
I swear. What don’t you get? You’re forcing something on others. How is that ok to you? We are in no way forcing something on you by asking for this. As you will have no way of knowing if we have the setting on! So allow me to address all the points in your “argument”.
First point: People who want to be more immersed in the game shouldn’t have any say in what’s included in their game, as they are second class citizens to people with legendary skins and auras. What they have to say doesn’t matter “blah blah blah blah”.
Second point: Guild Wars 2 is fashion wars. It’s a requirement that everyone be apart of it, and that no one feels a disturbance in the fashion force by getting a slight feeling that maybe someone can’t see their skins. Otherwise players will all leave to a new game because they somehow know people can’t see their skins in their client side options.
Third point: Have you guys tried just waiting for the person blocking the view of a ledge in a jumping puzzle with their wings to move? Yes, someone mentioned the exact scenario as a problem. There’s nothing you can do if they’re afk as no matter what setting you put on in pve the wings blocking the view will still be showing.
So please just quote this last part if someone again brings up the fact that, because they earned it everyone should be forced to see it. And people arguing against, you need to answer this and stop putting your hands over your ears.
How will you know someone has the toggle on if it’s implemented? And how does that effect you in anyway? They already didn’t care about your skin if that’s the reason they’re turning it on.
I don’t understand the argument for the other side still. We keep repeating it over, and over, and over again. People who want to see the backpacks and auras can.
You. Will. Never. Know. Someone can’t see something on your character. We already can set you to standard models, we know that. We can still see your backpacks with it on which is what the thread is about.
Your choices and tastes in skins don’t matter. Our choices and tastes in skins don’t matter. This again is an option that doesn’t effect you as you will never know someone has it on unless they go out of their way to tell you. So you need to stop playing the victim card. When legendary armor is available we already have the option to see it as a grey default skin. You’ll have to argue to have that changed, or your arguments for forcing people to see your legendary skins is moot.
Lastly the option is already is sPvP so it’s going to take some work, but the ground work is done.
You have no right over someone else’s options because you think a legendary is prestigious. You will never know they can’t see something you’re wearing.
That would be hilarious. Even as a glitch I would think it would use your own transmutation charge currency so it could just be good fun. Might even boost sales for transmutation charges people usually never buy from the gem store.
Only if I get to use your transmutation charges to return my look to how I want it and your gems if you don’t have enough or your gold if you don’t have enough gems. I don’t want to have to use my transmutation charges to undo a change that someone else did.
Because I certainly wouldn’t find that glitch funny at all. Not even in the slightest. I chose the skins I did because I liked them. I wouldn’t want my work undone because of a glitch and because someone else thinks it’s funny to change my skins.
No need to be so serious for something that wouldn’t happen ^-^ Bit of a slip of the mind that people would need to spend their own to change it back, but I was thinking more about well off friends doing it to each other. The what if situation dimension support would always help change it back also
You told people earlier to just close their eyes. Arguing the chaos theory here doesn’t work.
Slave labor! Blasphemy! Heretic!
:3
Lol really? The only real story in this game is instanced, so the only. Problem you have are the ones you make your self, the only thing people with wings etc spoil is your enjoyment. It is really not as bad as everyone makes out.
Sure a way to hide things would be good for those who want to QQ about it, maybe add standard models so every one else looks the same, because that will make it better…….
We’re not the one’s making a problem…
And if anything you guys are the one’s crying about the issue since you won’t ever know if we have the setting on…
It’s a change that effects you in no way if it were to be implemented.
That would be hilarious. Even as a glitch I would think it would use your own transmutation charge currency so it could just be good fun. Might even boost sales for transmutation charges people usually never buy from the gem store.
We’re not changing their outfit…
We just want the options to change things on our side. You would have absolutely no idea someone had Ad Infinitum or chaos gloves disabled unless they told you.
They would just need to show the wardrobe screen for a character that’s not you.
If they dont want to see them they should close their eyes.
…
Well thanks for helping this side of the debate.
I want people to see my skins, so I have to -1 this
But those people don’t want to see your skins. Why do you want those specific people to see your skins?
Just show me your skins already! No. I don’t want to see stats. That’s not what this game is about, and isn’t why people play it. However I do want to see what skins people are wearing and what dyes they are using in their dye channels!
I’d love to have the option to flat out not allow certain skins on my side. Seeing the Bifrost, Legendary fractal backpack, and chaos gloves on every character you’ve made just doesn’t do it for me. To not be rude and just say they’re eye bleed skins to be mean, they can really bother people’s eyes.
Also I think it’s China that doesn’t like skulls being shown? They and other similar cultures would benefit from the option.
I’d love to see all the classes use water as a conduit for their magic. So it’d pretty much be unarmed. Elementalist would be the easiest to make ideas for, Mesmer could maybe make like a large illusion that they’re in the center of and It’s hand swoops down for the attack. All of them could just literally be unarmed underwater though since I’m pretty sure our hero isn’t that dumb.
Also bring back being able to use skills on the surface of the water, doesn’t make any sense. There’s no way to avoid surfacing when you have to fight close to it, so it’s just flat out poorly designed and needs to be changed.
GBEW you’re not trying to have a healthy debate so that’s why you got the responses you did. Also you can’t dismiss someone’s argument because you felt they were saying “lol noob” or something similar, because you’re no longer trying to debate points. That said this game is pay to win. Though it’s only pay to win for one game mode and that’s wvw.
The reason pve isn’t pay to win, is because you can’t argue that another player is doing immensely better then you because they went to cash shop and you didn’t. The only thing that creates gold in this game are things like fractals, dungeons, events, and other similar things. So when someone buys elonian leather, bolts of damask, and all the other materials for crafting who is being hurt and who is being taken advantage of? No one is because someone got gems and someone got gold, and then someone got materials and someone got gold.
If you mean someone buying a legendary out right, that also can’t be argued because that is entirely preference. Some people think under water legendaries are garbage. Others feel the need to say they don’t understand why anyone would make a legendary in map chat since they have the same stats as ascended every time someone makes one, and links the final steps. Then some feel it shows their skill and prestige as a player because they made it without any help. They’re all right and they’re all wrong, that’s how perception and opinions work, however the fact that no one can get an unfair advantage in pve remains true.
Also you seem to not be understanding what players getting ascended means for pve. Ignoring skill level, reaction time, and that these people are somehow super inexperienced, because they just bought their armor since there’s no way to know that. They have ascended armor and weapons now, so when you are doing an event, fractal, or dungeon with them, they. are. helping. you.
Then finally if you’re going to argue anything, you need to hit this point, because you don’t realize it’s basis of the side you’re arguing. Who’s losing? What can’t they do, because of pay to win?
People who didn’t know about them saw shiny gloves on a majority of the player base.
I finished 77 on the day it was first in the dailies and where are my magnetite shards! This was an awful experience for pick up groups. Constantly having to explain raid level mechanics with people leaving, forcing you to restart the explanation. And absolutely everyone assuming things since it was a daily. I’m pretty sure if you wipe right at the end because not all four wisps are put in that’s a much harder mechanic than any dps check in any raid!
So to clarify that, here’s a story from one of my groups that explained things thoroughly before going in, however didn’t explain it to me as the last person who joined. Fight went well with everyone knowing what to do and avoid, but was still tremendously slow as it’s set up very poorly with the champ that will knock everyone down spawning at the end of killing everything. We finally reach the wisps part and I panic because I’m a bit far from mine, but I lightning flash and end up being the first to put mine in. Last person doesn’t put there’s in and we wipe. Every single person. Then. Blames me.
They say the timer is 5 seconds when one is put in, and I still don’t know what the mechanic truly is. My success group assured me that you just put them in as quickly as possible so I legitimately just stood at mine at the end and lightning flashed to put it in. It was probably in after 1 second from it spawning. As far as i could tell, 5 seconds did pass from when I put it in so the group that was extremely toxic towards me was incorrect, but I’m not sure. All I know is that is a mechanic harder then a huge part of the raids as it’s next to impossible if one person get downed since the extra person won’t know which one isn’t getting put in that last crucial moment.
