Upscaling in WvWvW will not make you as powerful as a geared lvl 80 player. THe lack of gear sure had something to do with you being defeated so easily.

The only possible explanation is that your email was compromised as well and they deleted the IP authentication emails. Do you have the same password for your GW2 account and email?

In any case performing a full scan to check for malicious software will help, as will unsing strong different password.
