I like how she still shouts about donating to rebuild Lion’s Arch. I suppose you can still donate :P
I’m going to be kittened if they remove keys from this shop. I have too many commendations to be used on node tools. Without keys, there’s no reason to ever get more than like 2000 commendations in your lifetime. I wouldn’t call that a very good use of their time to make that feature in the first place.

Possible reasons I’ve come up with for this vacation of hers:
– They didn’t want some sort of rush on the store due to all the new things during Wintersday
– They’re adding new items to be exchanged
– They’re removing some items (maybe no one is buying keys with gems anymore?)

Signet of the Hunt: Increased the passive movement from 10% to 25%.”

The spell reflects this 25% when you mouse over it, but the little icon that shows your boons still says 10%. That is all

I think each race lends itself well to particular holidays. Asuran just fits well with recent holidays, and since it hasn’t been a full year yet we haven’t seen the other race’s time.

I don’t have that much beef with how Trahearne came into power or became the center of attention. I just don’t agree with this hatred :P sorry.
But I do find it hard to believe most of what he does (story lines should be more believable than this). It seems he hasn’t even finished one life-long study that he has another area of previously-unknown-attention that is about to come to fruition. He literally has like 5 things that would require years of intensive study that all happen within the last days of the story.
Actually, if every idea the Pact has every had didn’t come from him, he might be less of an attention-steeling nobody :P

Harm: I love it! I doubt by computer is slow enough to provide much help here, and my mouse has few enough buttons to not have a double click, but I should be able to at least get 2 orders at a time.

Marshal: I thought of that too, but realistically – the current 30 seconds to place 20 orders is not that big of a detriment to power traders manipulating the market. Sure, they’d like 1-click, but not having it doesn’t kill their business. Any time I’ve done big buying, the most timely thing is going to each thing I’m buying, not placing the orders.

Speaking of which: how about also being able to open a second TP window? Example: There have been times I’ve wanted to look at what I am currently trying to buy and what is currently available (placing new buy orders for items I’m trying to buy that aren’t at the highest price currently being offered by other people). Looking at your transactions currently clears any search you did. This would probably help the power-trader-TP-manipulator more than the common Asura, but I have wanted it sometimes and I’m by no means a PTTPM. Having it save your last search while keeping that window open would be a nice compromise.

I would like to be able to place a buy order for, say, 1,000 of something in one go (as high as we want).
Currently, you would have to place one for 250, then another one for 250, then another one for 250, then another one for 250. And each time, you have to manually edit the number you want to 250, and the amount you want to pay.
You can see how this would get VERY annoying if you want to buy 5,000 things
This would also free up server resources, because people would be sending 1 buy order instead of 20.
Buying someone’s listed item currently goes a little faster as you don’t have to re-enter how many you want, but this suggestion should still apply to it.

+1 I agree with this suggestion. It would encourage people to do anything other than grind the same areas. Plus, the bots wouldn’t be included

what resolution screen do you have? I have a big one, and 90+% of the screen is UI-free – more than enough to crop out of screenshots later. But if I decrease to even like 1920×1080, that number shrinks to like 70%.
Then, if you have any panel open, that’s where it really takes up space. At my high resolution, I can have the hero panel and inventory open and still get a good view of what’s going on (maybe 40% of the screen is uncovered), but at the lower resolutions I would be lucky to even see all of the inventory at once.
My suggestion on how to make this suggestion work: when you scale the size of a UI window, it also scales the size of everything in that window.
That doesn’t really affect other UI parts, like spells and event text. I do agree you should be able to resize those as well.

This is the thing I think they should devote 100% of their attention to until it’s fixed. Game-breaking bug, IMO.

I’ve seen several trebuchets on another server’s starting balcony. unmanned, but funny that they were there. Guess we were up against friendly enemies.
I’ve also seen youtube videos of several siege golems PvPing people in the jumping puzzle. One of the funniest things I’ve seen.

There are numerous points in this puzzle where you can make life hard for people behind you. I know 100% that it’s designed into it that it’s still a PvP area, even if I won’t attack anyone who hasn’t attacked me

I’m on a mac. The TP will occasionally not work (tries to load with a swirling circle indefinitely). I just go away and come back later and it works (10-360 min later, it’s random). I didn’t even suspect it was a problem on my end until reading this. I always assumed the Anet sever that holds it crashed (I can still buy/sell gems and see the gem store and pick up cash from sales, but not the trading post or do anything in the gem store). I’ll try reinstalling GW2.

To the OP: Go to the folder that contains your GW2 application (in finder). right-click on the GW2 application, select “Show Package Contents”. Inside there is every file that GW2 uses (I’m pretty sure the file paths are even the same as the PC version). Items inside of packages are not searchable with spotlight, so you have to look manually.

I’ve listed 1000 inscriptions at once before. they eventually sold, probably to people leveling their craft and too lazy to start with raw mats :P

I’m pretty sure they don’t do ANY single player fixes (you can’t mail them saying you didn’t get it when you should of and have them give it to you). It’s just too easy for someone to lie, and too hard to confirm their story.
They implemented a solution to the masses of people this affected, and while not perfect, it was not required and very generous of them. You normally get a reward for finishing a quest and claiming the chest. Did you complete the quest and claim the chest?
Personally, when the game crashed and I couldn’t get back into the boss fight, I was bummed, but I didn’t feel cheated.
I don’t expect they’ll do anything else regarding this bug – this was their solution, and it’s been long enough that I would think all of the mails have already been delivered.

Did everyone who got the mail get a 20 slot chest and an ancient karka shell?
Those were my two highlights from the mail, and it seemed like those would of been included in everyone’s. (I did get d/c during the final battle and was unable to get back on)
If this is the case, everyone who’s complaining about what they got seem to be forgetting about these when they go to complain

Guild Wars computer at home can recognize 4-5 keys at a time (depending on combination), doesn’t matter what mouse buttons are pressed.
I’m sure I could be pressing forward, strafe, 1 spell. I couldn’t imagine pressing more than 3 keys, definitely not more than 4 (only 4 fingers; I don’t usually use thumb=jump during battles)

mouse and keyboard are both plugged into monitor, which is then plugged into computer.
I have had issues before where the monitor’s built-in iSight doesn’t work if the 3rd USB port on the monitor also has something in it, so I always keep that open.
When I test it tonight, I’ll see how many keys I can press at once, and how many I can press while holding mouse buttons.

The CC fees are also why you tend to see things like “$20 for 1800 gems, $10 for 800 gems, $5 for 300 gems” (more you spend = more you get). The pay less, percentage wise, for higher amounts so they give you more to reflect it.

I’ve had it happen several times where I click ‘pick up all items’, I get all items, then a new list of items appear. click ‘pick up all items’ again, get the new items, new list of items appear. click ‘pick up all items’ yet again, get the new items, no more items to pick up.
In all 3 times, there was a mix of moneys and items to pick up
I expect that it saves a certain number of transactions (maybe 100?), then starts a new group of transactions. When you pick up the first, the second is then shown for you to pick up.
I do not know if there is a limit to the number of groups, but I have had up to 3 before.

How it went:
Press ‘0’ to open Trading Post
buy custom priced karka shells, 200 for 2s each (the highest price people were paying was 2s40c, so I wasn’t expecting to get them anytime soon)
walked over to Trading Post npc, opened them up. It said I had stuff to pick up, so I went to that screen. I had 200 karka shells to pick up! I picked them up, they are in my inventory.
I was confused, so I checked the stuff-I’m-buying page, and the listing is still there to buy 200 karka shells for 2s each. I cancel that order.
more stuff to pick up! 4g! (refund of 200 for 2s each)
Now I have 200 karka shells and the 4g.
I was unable to duplicate this

I was in a dungeon, got a bag of wondrous goods, doubled clicked to open, cinematic dialog popped up immediately (dead boss). bag was gone but I didn’t get a drop of karma or bag of gold (already had a stack of tokens, so I couldn’t tell if I got any more of those).
I’m not exactly mad, just reporting a bug.

oh that is cool! never knew keyboards had that limit. on the mac at work, it looks like I’m able to press 6 keys at once and all the letters appear. 7 and higher and much less appears (0-5). I’ll test my keyboard at home when I get there.
I take it that mouse buttons (in addition to the left/right click) would not be included in this limit?

I do find it happens more during fights. I realize I pretty much hold down right click the whole time because I’m constantly on the move (and using dodge).
It happened several times last night. maybe 5 times in 3 hours. all on intense fights.
I’m skeptical about the too many buttons at once theory – wouldn’t the button just not work instead of get stuck on?

So this was not the case. I tried repeatedly to produce this using shift (interact) when nothing was there to interact with and strafe never got stuck.

oh, that sounds like it might be it. I remapped interact to shift. It could be the case that it gets pressed while strafing (maybe while trying to press ‘a’ or ‘z’). I’ll see this is the case when I get home.

The problem: very infrequently (twice a week) while strafing the strafe will get locked and keep going after I let go of the key. It unlocks if I press the key again, but it’s still mildly annoying if you’re trying to do a jump puzzle and walk off the cliff due to a bug (this happened once. all other times are trivial). This has been happening since first getting the beta version (I had it on bootcamp before that but never noticed this – it was only for a couple days). It always happens when I release the strafe key: I strafe (either momentarily or for a length of time), let go, character continues to strafe as if I didn’t let go. It does not just happen during fights, sometimes while just running somewhere (though there is less strafeing during this time, so less chance it will happen)

More info: I’m running on a Mac Pro, mac wired keyboard. All software is up-to-date. I re-maped the left and right strafe to s and f, and I turned off the double-tap to dodge. No other keys have ever got stuck, and I never have problems with those particular keys outside of guild wars. My client is very bug-free aside from this (it did crash several times during the Lost Shores event, but that’s the only time in the last 6 weeks it’s crashed)

Also: During some bosses in HotM, a similar thing seems to also happen for a short time… anything I was doing will get stuck for like ~2 seconds (standing still, running, strafe, shooting) and I couldn’t do anything else. It kept happening during specific boss fights, so I thought it was an ability of the boss similar to fear. Too short of a duration to mouse over any conditions that were on me.

Before now I just figured someone else would report it and it’d get fixed, but I couldn’t find another thread about it.
has anyone else had this problem? is there a solution besides remapping the keys?

well, it’s been about 2 hours since I reinstalled it, played WvW entire time, no crash. I think that solved it. sleep now, I’ll report again after giving it longer to test

I was playing on bootcamp windows 7, worked perfectly. Installed on mac 3 days ago, worked perfectly. Yesterday it started crashing randomly while playing.
when it crashes: approximately an hour apart, none of the circumstances are the same (first time was on loading trading post, second was in the middle of attacking a bat. Just now, it happened twice in 10 minutes while running in WvW – but I hadn’t played WvW before).
I believe it’s the same error that pops up each time. I took a screen shot of it, attached.

Come to think of it, just after the first time, I think the trading post was inaccessible (down for maintenance I assumed). Maybe I just need to reinstall it? couldn’t hurt. I’ll try that, but I wanted to report the bug nonetheless.
