Can you try to make a “default” character by skipping to the end, just give it a name?
Does that work?
Right now in my next try with my necro I received the medal and both chests whereas my bf only got the gold medal (he took another character as with whom he received everything the last time as I did not with my ranger) and not the bonus chest (because he already got it for today), but also no boss chest (you can get the boss chests with each character once per day, right? so he did not receive it with that character).
Well, it just happened to me with the Tequatl event. This time myself didn’t get both chests, but the golden medal.. -.- (My bf received both chests and the medal.)
It happened to my guardian, she was the one that did the same event on that boss the last few times.. she “camped” there. (But she also camped at various other bosses and it didn’t make any difference there, so it would be nice to know whether or not and if yes when exactly “camping” does affect the chests..)
Anyone else had this happen with a character that was parked at a certain boss?

I do that, too. But whenever I spend time in Orr, there are as many players as before. ^^
I was just thinking that it is quite amazing that the loot discussion evaporated after they finally fixed it… the fix must have been the solution to all the unhappy gamers, otherwise there would have been still complaints.
I enjoyed leveling with my necro more, but mesmer will always be my main. ^^
They were and are both fun and entertaining, the necro nearly from the beginning, the mesmer after ~ lvl 20. On lvl 80 they are both enjoyable and lovely!
There shall exist an official statement that it does affect your loot when playing in a group. But I don’t know where.. ^^

Yesterday I discovered a jumping puzzle that dictates you certain “zoom positions”. I could see that they could consider it an exploit, if one has a mod that allows other zooms than the given one.
Don’t think any mod could be safe unless they are from Anet. :p
You need to have the grandmaster trait “spirits unbound” (from nature magic).
Until then they will stay where you have created them. If you trait in spirits unbound, they will follow you.
We do not know if they would consider it as an exploit by participating, and as long as they do not communicate with us about that issue you’ll never know if you can join the party or not..
That’s one bad thing about it..
Udir, write a ticket and explain the support team what happened to you. Maybe they will help you out as they did for the OP.
At least they will see that it is happening to more players than only to one. ^^
Hey!
You can create each class (five at a time if you have the five starter slots; or just create one and delete it to try another one) and after the short tutorial (I think you will be lvl 2) go straight up to the pvp area (*) where you will be upleveled to lvl 80 and are able to try all skills (if I am not mistaken!).
(*) There is a symbol in the UI that lets you travel to the “hearts of the mists”, you will have to do the pvp tutorial once and then will be thrown into the pvp lounge where you can try out your selected class.

Zerkie still is lazy and doesn’t want to fight at full power, so how have you adapted to that nasty thing?
I am a noob.. ^^ I thought “Unique” was just used as a term to describe that it has a unique name and a unique icon. Just something “special”.
I played the original gw and there unique meant something different than it does now in gw2. The unique items had a unique name and (often) a unique appearance..
They cannot assume that everyone will know what that means.
Maybe there are these people that know it, but on the other side there still exist a lot of others that don’t know it.
As there already exist the confirming on purchase boxes, a simple confirming box like “You will now buy this unique item. You cannot use the same two unique items for the same character. Please confirm your purchase.” or whatever.. I think that would help a lot..
That’s why I mentioned them, too. And if you wear a nice fitting top, you could act as the skirt would be part of the top… (yeah, not really.. but I would give it a try..)

That – however – does NOT change the fact that the game itself should be more clear about such issues. It should tell you what UNIQUE means… (and not everyone knows the /wiki thing)

Maybe some day they will become account-bound and you can give it to another character? Or is it account-bound yet?
You could send a mail to anet support or open a thread in the bug forum and explain what has happened, I don’t think they will refund you the laurels, but maybe they will give more information about this particular lack of clarity in the future.

(and it’s not only for fights, for example good for exploration and all the other stuff.. if you play a mesmer and your friend plays an ele, thief or ranger and you want to explore a map, you either will slow down your group or just see your friend from a far distance)
For pve Signet of Illusionary Haste
passive: gives you (and your illusions) 25 % speed boost
active: you root in place, become invulnerable for 3 seconds and cripples up to five foes around you. (or something comparable, I just remembered the sylvari race elite)
Something like this and I would love to replace my balthazar’s hounds immediately. ^^
EDIT: Oh and they can throw out all mesmer’s elites. I don’t use them.
