They made some changes..
And now you can get the bonus chest once per boss per day per account. (And: The bonus chest only appears for a character that is lvl 40 and above??)
Each character of yours should be able to get the normal boss chest once per day.

Except these chests you will not receive other ones (like a second bonus chest) or a boss chest twice for the same character.

However, there is something happening that occurs to be a bug (?) that is not communicated about by Anet yet.

Yeah, but the warrior needs to be buffed.

Just keep in mind not to buy two same ascended rings (or whatever). They cannot both be equipped on the same character (unless you infuse one??).
It will save you a lot of trouble if you remember that and do not have to contact support and so on. ^^

There seems to be a bug (?) that happens to a lot of people.
Just a few threads about that issue which is not addressed/ communicated by Anet yet.

Well, and it happened again.
My female ranger did the entire jormag event (but unfortunately not the pre events) and she did not receive the chests, instead she got only the gold medal and this time obviously DR.
That sucks.. :-(

How can we get DR by doing this particular event only once every 24h? (the reset lies always between)

Oh well, our look could then be considered OP. It could blind, stun and daze other players…
Hmm, there’s nothing left to do then..

Maybe a gorgeous purple tornado or a flickering light?

No, I am sorry, for me it’s just the short form of my mesmer’s name (Navannia).

I would like to be nerfed into a giant purple bubble that just looks pretty. It doesn’t have to do any damage or get loot or whatever. The loveliness would be EPIC and sufficient!

As a mesmer I usually don’t use portal.

The last time I used it was for my bf because there was a tricky/ annoying jump in a jumping puzzle and we just thought we would be better off with using it. ^^

They like gambling. ^^
By using the signet we mesmers have a chance to gain swiftness.

I would appreciate to have an appropriate option for swiftness in pve.
Unless then I feel a little forced to take the signet and use my focus.
I am slowing down my group, e.g. when we explore something.

Nothing really bad, but it would be very convenient to have a viable swiftness option. ^^

And NO, I will not wear any special swiftness runes, that doesn’t make any sense and we should not feel forced to do that, too.

And I really like Pain Inverter, so that’s another bonus. :-)

I main a female human mesmer, but if I would make another one, I think I would take Asura. :-)

We have to assume they already have a fix for him, but they just don’t want to tell us. Whatever their reasons might be for that. ^^

We – my bf and me – were still able to receive the chests with other characters (maybe we even tried with the same character and it worked..but don’t know..) on the second tries.

THIS is indeed a very good question and it should be considered to change it that way that one cannot buy soulbound armor that has the wrong armor class.
(I cannot think of any case where it would be useful to buy armor (that is soulbound on acquire) that you cannot use with your character. So there would be no need for this option and if you simply could not buy the wrong armor that is soulbound on acquire it could prevent some damage.)

Colin, thanks for addressing some issues with these bosses.
Would you please have a look into the reward system as well? It’s not about “better” loot or whatever, it is about a BUG: people do not get the chests (bonus and regular chests) from the bosses although they obviously (?) qualified by receiving the gold medal.
At this very moment there is no communication from anet regarding this massive and game breaking issue.

I think a better scaling will do fine for the moment whilst you can work on improvements for more exciting behaviour of these world bosses.
In my opinion it is enormously important that they work as they already should (e.g. the jungle worm cannot be killed before he spawns with its life bar; behemoth cannot get that often bugged; the chests have to work; etc.) and scale better to a higher amount of players (again jungle worm, maw, etc.).

It’s a german one, medium populated.
And after a huge amount of people (if not all) didn’t get the rewards, we are quite caring to do the best to prevent that.
BUT it might be that the time when I am online makes a difference, because then it is eight o’clock in the morning in Germany and usually not that many players online to kill him before he is attackable (and has a life bar).

You don’t have to wait 2 hours. Just guest to another world which either has the event active or the event is close by.

I had this happen once, but there were really heaps of people.. after that we (and other people) just write in chat that everyone PLEASE shall wait until the worm is attackable and showing its life bar. And on our world that seems to work quite fine. :-)

Brew shipment event was already completed (to the end) several times on our server (HoD). Champ Oak has stopped spawning completely.

Well, after Drakkar-Lake had Brenda not moving for several times, THIS is what right now prevents the mighty behemoth from spawning.
Brenda is doing fine, we really care for her and let her do her brewing shipment, but that’s no real help because the champ oak does not want to appear.
He simply does not get triggered.
Why can’t he like us???

I play all professions and I have a female charr warrior (~lvl 50). She is fun. xD
I like longbow and sword + axe as weapons.
As a warrior in pve you should not have the biggest issues, that’s true.

Yeah, playing together is a lot of fun!
You could also use the guesting function (if you already have a leveled character and don’t want to delete it or you don’t want to spend gems for a trasnfer that includes your characters), if you don’t care that you will loose wvw bonus.

Just remember that EU and US servers are seperated, so in case that you would like to guest to another world you only can do that within one server (e.g. guest from a EU world to another EU world).

Try to figure out which other timezones suits your local timezone the most. You don’t have to play on a certain “oceanic” world. (There does not exist a seperate oceanic “server”, just the EU and US servers)
Many medium or high populated worlds have people online nearly 24/7.

The race doesn’t really matter, except you want to pay attention to the racial skills. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Racial_skill
(Another point is your personal aesthetical preference.. for the character itself or for the starter area.. e.g. Norn can have tattoos and have a snowy starter area; Sylvari’s nightly glow can be customized and these guys (and Asuras) start in a jungle area; etc.)

As a warrior type you could play a warrior or a guardian, but all professions are worth a try. And there are more “tanky” options than only the warrior/ guardian.

I would suggest you to try out each class. You can easily do this by doing the pve tutorial, then travel to the pvp lobby (there you have to do the pvp tutorial once to access the area). You will be upscaled to lvl 80 and are now able to try out every skills.

As they will split pvp/ pve/ wvw skills more and more I really hope they will buff my pve mesmer.
We were nerfed so many times, it is not even funny anymore. ^^

Apart from that they really should fix the bugs they introduced with the last patches (like the issue with Zerkie), before they dare to touch the mesmer again. xD
