Lets speculate how Arena Net will update FOTM this year.
Will drops be finally fixed?
Will we be finally able to salvage/exchange our unwanted Ascended rings?
Will they add new mini dungeons this year?
Will we be finally able to go beyond scale 50?
Will FOTM finally become hardcore PvE end game?
It’s all uncertain, however we can be sure about one thing, the 2014 FOTM update will somehow be tied to the Living Story.
Maybe give an option to go instantly to level 80 for those who have already “X” level 80s.
19 Celestial Ascended Rings here from running fractals, maybe I can get a full stack before you can get stack of spoons.
Maybe we’ll just fly around the Tyria zapping them with that Asura anti dragon cannon season 3, who knows, would be convenient.
It’s interesting to see people not knowing the basics of the game even though they have thousands of achievement points.
I mean, Elementalist with 9k AP joins team (staff) and I ask him to give us some might, he didn’t even know how.
It’s incredibly easy to get 55 AR.
I wish I could run full cleric in high level fractals and not slow down my team mates.
Well, he did help to defeat Abaddon, maybe he has changed last over the 250 years.
I personally don’t want to see all old GW1 villains getting killed in GW2, he was an interesting character, most certainly more interesting than all the dragons combined.
What if Palawa Joko is actually defending Elona and/or fighting against Elder Dragons?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but GW1 lore never really implied that Joko was all that “evil”.
No, I don’t want to play with randoms and pugs.
I don’t want to play with people refusing to listen and I don’t want to deal with the people who refuse to use their skill bar correctly, e.g. spam their auto attack.
Not to mention no way to deal with afkers or leechers.
That’s my opinion, perhaps people want that, I don’t know.
Lack of transparency makes the people doubt whether this game “has” a future or not.
Arena Net can’t expect people to stay loyal forever.
Hey John, perhaps you could look at all the great suggestions made over the last two years?
Maybe, but it adds the thrill and pressure.
If people knew that they can’t die, maybe they’d actually chose PTV or Knight’s armor.
And I’d suggest removing WPs too.
And those wonderful Aatxe, make them auto attack for 5k.
Here’s an idea.
Remake Underworld.
Success of failure of the run depends on each individual player.
Here’s an idea – 3 Ascended Rings + “X” + Mystic Forge = 1 Ascended Earring/Amulet.

These analytics are focused on playtime, content and reward loop feedback, all of which have shifted their focus from high end content to solo gameplay. Statistics are showing the majority of Wildstar players enjoy solo play instead of larger raids which really caught Carbine developers off guard
That’s quite surprising indeed.
What exactly is your point though? xD
The point is that this is just another statement from Devs that there are not sooo many
people that really want hardcore content than some people think.Wildstar was a game that was catered especially to those people that wanted very
hard content .. and this shows for me that all those people that say : we need hardcore
content else GW2 will dye .. are just wrong.I don’t say we don’t need new content .. and that a little bit hardcore content would be
wrong .. but just that catering especially for hardcore crowd and don’t care about the
casual players wouldn’t “save” the game .. but do maybe more damage than it helpsHow is making 1 elite instance for those who enjoy elite content catering to hardcore crowd when 99.9% of the GW2 is literally “stand afk, use auto attack, watch tv, check facebook, check GW2, click on dungeon reward.”
Please elaborate.Personally i must say i also just don’t want ANet waste ressources for players that
always think they have to insult other players and show them massive amounts
of disrespect only because they are not that great as you think you are yourself. And maybe its not even true and some of them are much better than you .. they
only don’t brag about it all the time and insult other players to be sooo bad.Lets assume you were right, just for a second. It’s obviously not, but nonetheless.
What would stop you from making your own party with like minded players?Nothing .. but do you expect me to say : Hey ANet .. these guy all the times called
me a totally idiot .. so please spend all your time just to do content for them because
its so great to get called by them all day .. and i don’t want that you loose those
player because i would seriously miss to get insultet.
If there’s someone calling you that way or harassing you, you should use the report function.
As someone who’s never been in a PvE centric guild, and who has always been puging dungeons and high level fractals, I personally have never encountered people like you’re describing, or if I join a party I don’t like, I simply quit.
What you’re saying is quite simply not true, don’t generalize people based on your narrow and limited experience with few individuals.

Well of course there needs to be an actual incentive for content to be played, be it engaging battles or rewards. TA has neither.
If you spent a little less time on forums, you’d know that if you had to work for a few months without a salary, you’d lose all motivation to do anything, especially when there’s something you want to buy or get or if you have to support your family.

Please elaborate.
Lets say they introduced ONE extremely hard instance, would it instantaneously somehow stop you from enjoying the rest of the game? Would it stop you from continuing exploring the world? Doing events?
Cosmetic reward aren’t needed to enjoy the game which would most likely be brought with the said instance. You’ve advocated gem store before, so don’t complain about it if you don’t want to sound hypocritical.
The supposedly hard GW2 content that is already in game makes less than 1% of the whole GW2 content.
Yet again, here I ask the same question.
How come “casuals” are against giving “hardcore” crowd 1% of the game?
Are they simply too entitled and want everything for themselves and 99% wouldn’t be enough?
Imbued Flame Shaman and twice as mobile as Liadri and Mai Trin and 12 player party, now that would be fun. AoE everywhere and no stacking.
I don’t want another Static dragon or Wurm.
Here’s a question for you to ponder.
If Tequatl/Wurm was instanced and limited to certain number of people, e.g. 25, would it be played more often than it is right now?
The answer is yes.
I don’t want traditional MMO raids.
I want GW1 elite instances.
But of course knowing Arena Net, and how they’re abandoning * almost everything* that made GW1 great, I doubt we’ll see it happening.
These raids will most likely be another Wurm/Tquatl no one does due to lag, randoms, bugs and overflows.
Looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
Although most likely we won’t see any results any time soon (if any).
I remember seeing Arena Net listing mobile app developer as a free vacancy, whatever happened to that.
Also, no Vayne comment so far?
Mai Thrin, Liadri, Imbued Flame Shaman – these all are amazing bosses that showcase the best GW2 combat can offer, it requires team work, coordination,
Too bad instead on expanding on these kinds of bosses they continue to add “spam 1” monsters.
Maybe loot should be level gated – unlock new drops with each new level with an explanation of what it’s used for.
What’s there to be hyped about?
I log in maybe two or three times in a week, do some FOTM runs, check the horrible unbalanced WvW match up and log out.
Talking about the “pew pew!” from _every single class.#
Guardian? Scepter is hardly ever used.
How about server alliances or something similar?
For example – Gold League – 3 Different colors, 6 servers.
BG/FA – Green , SoS/TC – Blue, JQ/Mag – Red.
Servers earn points together and can send reinforcements to ally servers – for example, There are no Sea players on FA, BG can send (certain) number of people to FA to hell the ally server.
Just an idea.
Copy paste Two Imbued Flame Shaman ( one of the best designed GW2 bosses – stacking doesn’t work, can’t melee face roll etc) on a bigger map, add more AoEs, make it 10 player.
Add scales.
Let the less skilled play easy.
Less the more skilled play hard.
Scale PPT according to the people on the map on each side of the server.
Been saying it for over a year now.
Red – 1 player
Blue – 10 players
Green – 5 players
Coefficient for gaining points – Red 1, Blue 0.1, Green 0.2.
They already can’t balance the current professions.
Perhaps instead return dual professions – let chose 1-2 utility skills from other professions.
I’d love to see more Guardian changes.
2/3 of the traits are bad. 2/3 of skills are not used.
How is this a “good spot”?
Was watching Destiny Review and it reminded me of GW2 for some reason.

Grinding, no content, insane RNG.
Perhaps it’s time for the developers to focus on sandbox MMOs instead of theme park.
Joining an empty BL, trying to solo cap a camp, get run over by 20 player zerg.
Well, maybe this is a definition of “fun” for some, certainly not me.
I guess the servers from the bottom tier could easily compete against Tier One if they were willing to fight. Right?
Those 5-6 people playing during the OSX/SEA time could easily hold against 80 player zerg.
People complain when they get the same matchup over and over again against servers as close to their strength as possible. Now they complain when the variety they asked for gives them blowout matches.
Never ending cycle.
Yeah, those Eredon Terrace players, they keep complaining about stale matches, lets pair them with BG for a change. I bet they’ll still complain. It never ends.
I’d sincerely like to know where this rumor originated. No endgame? Is a new story campaign, giant map (and completion), crafting, a new set of dungeons, obtaining legendary weapons, and 3 new areas of the map opening up just not enough for you?
Really, where did this originate?
New story campaign? – ?
Giant map? – Are you implying you’re still running around aimlessly doing same events ever since Dry Top was released few months ago? Kudos to you.
Completion? – 2013 January 100% world.
Crafting? – All 8 to 400 in first two-three months of GW2. 400-500 few months ago.
A new set of dungeons? – Where? Did I miss something?
Obtaining legendary? – Already obtained one year ago.
3 New areas of the map? – Dry Top?
The end game of GW2 is – Get gold, Get Gems, Get Pretty, Repeat.
Re-post the original Manifesto trailer on official Youtube channel.
Living Story Season 2 has some incremental upgrades compared to SE1, however still up to this day I fail to see how Living Story alone can replace Expansion pack.
If SE1 and SE2 was bundled together and sold, I’d call it a 10$ DLC, it’s far from Expansion pack.
At least release new armor skins more frequently instead of all the gimmicky stuff.
Barbie End Game needs more frequent updates.
Why is WvW lagging so much? Haven’t played WvW for two weeks.
Each time I attack game starts lagging and players start rubber banding allover the map.
2 Years, 2 Fractal Skins, Mabe in 10 years I’ll get all of them.
Here’s my story of random act of kindness.
Few weeks ago, I was extremely bored and I went to Queensdale.
In map chat, I asked if anyone has just started playing the game, few people replied and after checking their AP (just to make sure they’re not lying), I mailed then each 5G. Only 1 person said thanks. Perhaps others were not familiar with the mailing system.
There was a pretty good description of the sate of this game currently on Reddit :
Get Gold, Get Gems, Get Pretty, Repeat.
I don’t think the game is all that bad, even with all the changes, it’s simply lacking new supranational content, an expansion, new skills, new weapons, new dungeons, new multiple zones to explore, jumping puzzles, etc. Living Story and the pace of it is simply not enough.
You wouldn’t see people arguing about NPE if it was introduced with a new Content Pack.
Guild Wars 2 is not coming to Wii U. However rest assured, with the current direction of the game, Guild Wars 3 (if it happens) will be most likely available on 3DS/Wii U 2/PS Vita 2 and other popular consoles, perhaps even playable in web browser – implemented in Facebook.
Who knows.
For someone who doesn’t enjoy the Living Story or Story in general?
These days I find myself logging in for few minutes and logging out since there’s absolutely nothing that I haven’t done or that hasn’t gotten repetitive.
For about a year WvW was my substitute for an End Game, rank 814, but even that got repetitive, same stuff every week.
I was keen on trying the new WvW “additions” but quickly found that there was nothing game refreshing about them.
WvW tournament would be fun and exciting if there was an actual chance of winning (for my server) and if the match ups were balanced, which is not unfortunately the case.
(edited by Nick.6972)
Haven’t touched WvW in weeks.
With the new Guard patch, can I actually now win a competent Condi-Spam Necro/other tanky specced condition spammers?
True or not, if this was the case they would certainly deny it.
