No offense to you. Feel free to play ow you want to play.
But personally, I dislike rangers who use Longbow and stand as far as its possible from the mob/boss not giving anyone anything – boons, buffs, etc.
I rather have full zerk GS warrior with 5 signets.
Anything that can stealth.
Dying? Easy. Become invisible and flee.
In my opinion, this is why they split the patch, second part had even more bugs.
Well, regardless, I never had any hopes to begin with, I’m only there to unlock story, in case I ever care enough to play it.
So is it still bugged after third day? The LS thing in Frostgorge.
Now what about making a Tengu tonic.
Thank you for replies Mark Katzbach.
Now how about CDI for some PR.
It’s really hard to believe this PR.
Working hard – that’s alright, completely understandable.
But where are the results? They’ve been “working hard” to fix the score system for about two years now. Clearly there’s something really wrong over here.
Shouldn’t be that hard.
Warrior isn’t my main, Guardian is.
What I do : aggro everyone, stack them in corner, spam DPS, heal with Meditations, dodge to mitigate some damage.
But seriously, what’s the difference – 33% swiftness or 33% swiftness on broomstick.
Role playing? Immersion? Couldn’t care any less, we already have rainbow shooting bows, bunny ears, pink underboob armor, etc.
Isn’t it obvious. The answer is almost always the same.
In the direction that maximized the profit.
And as we know, WvW generates the least money for Arena Net.
How about you just wait and see these new items?
Personally, I couldn’t care any less even if these new items gave you 75% speed boost.
They’d be unusable in WvW anyway.
Take broomstick. Get speed booster. Mount.
Here’s a suggestion, instead of necro bumping make a thread – call it, “Compilation of Promises” and link all these dev posts and threads there. I don’t think it would be against ToS.
(edited by Nick.6972)
Hire some people to fix the AI before adding new pets.
Here’s an idea/suggestion.
We can’t necro old posts, but we can link them and quote the dev posts.
Nice to see they rather chose to further ignore than engage in a discussion.
I guess all those necro bumps with failed promises were a bad PR.
Love these necros lately.
They are already having hard time making a single usable skill. What makes you think theyre capable of making 30 new skills?
And every time someone asks the given question, there’s someone trying to justify Arena Net.
It’s quite difficult (for me) to 1v1 Mesmers playing my Meditation Guardian.
They just Teleport around, kite for days and on top of it all have stealth to flee when they get low. Especially the last.
TC come back tier Tier 2, Fort Aspenwood is missing you.
Negative criticisms should be ignored and thrown out. They have no place in any civil society.
Ok .
Constructive feedback and criticism. Sounds nice. Maybe people gave up.
Why bother writing a long thought ought article with legit concerns and suggestions when its guaranteed to fall on deaf ear?
Arena net has shown that they’ll do what they want.
Check the WvW section. I don’t remember the last time any dev posted there.
That link, is that legit ex-employee feedback?
Here’s an idea I’ve mentioned before.
Place an Air Balloon/Blimp in LA.
Make players buy a tickets and make it departure each hour or so.
Make the Air Balloon/Blimp fly to, for example, Divinity’s Reach, flight takes 20-30 minutes.
Place some unique vendors inside of the Air Balloon/Blimp, add some weather effects, rain, story. clouds etc.
So here. GW2 “mount” idea. Gives no advantage to no one whatsoever, excellent for role playing and AFKing.
When I was doing my 100% map, more than a year ago, I found many beautiful and interesting looking places, like, for example, that Pirate ship near the JP. That being said, unfortunately there’s no reason for me to ever return to that place because there’s simply nothing there. No events worth doing, no rewards to be found, no players. Nothing. Feels like a wasted potential and dev work.
Why invest time in making all these beautiful places, hidden caves, etc, if once found there’s no reason to return to them?
(edited by Nick.6972)
I’m sure there will be still people playing WvW even if they fail to release any WvW update this year, probably not the dedicated WvW-only players, but WvW was always intended to be casual pvp since the beginning. Maybe that’s their goal, I don’t know.
Alright. Lets all assume that Arena Net WvW Developer Team is currently working extremely h@rd(nice censor) on future WvW Content and they have absolutely no time whatsoever to read the forums, reply or engage in discussion.
That could be entirely possible, we don’t know.
But do you think it is possible to develop a decent content without listening to community, ignoring the discussions and not asking any questions?
I doubt it. Look at EOTM.
So here’s my concern – even if they are currently having a huge background WvW project, I doubt it will succeed.
Yes, but of course. And Liadri was badly designed too.
Right?
It’s more engaging to watch the boss soak all the damage while you sand right next to him as spam your auto attack.
Promote active gameplay without stacking, such as Mai Trin, and people start whining everywhere.
Still to this day wonder why GW2 is so against mounts?
I mean, GW2 ir more of a generic MMO than GW1 ever was
Personally, instead of mounts, I’d love to see airships or real ships taking people from one place to another in real time. For example from LA to DR.
Or A ship that takes you from LA to Southsun. Make it a 30 minute drive or something. Good for both afking and role playing;.
Warrior does it all better.
It’s not about challenging content.
Necro just bring nothing to the team which can’t be done better by the other professions.
The cookie cutter UW meta build were unusable outside the given instance.
There wasn’t one single build, unlike in GW2, that worked absolutely everywhere.
Also, some PvE and PvP skills were slightly different.
In Guild Wars 2, necros are extremely mediocre in PvE, while extremely powerful in PvP.
They can’t make Necro stronger in PvE without making it overpowered in PvP.
6/6/2/0/0 Mace Shield Guardian with X Y Z W Q Utilities.
0/6/6/2/0 Mace Shield Guardian with X Y Z W Q Utilities.
0/0/6/6/2 Mace Shield Guardian with X Y Z W Q Utilities.
2/0/0/6/6 Mace Shield Guardian with X Y Z W Q Utilities.
6/2/0/0/6 Mace Shield Guardian with X Y Z W Q Utilities.
5 builds right here, right!? 5 Unique and different builds that offer distinctively different game play. Right? Is this build diversity? Is this what it means in this game?
My Mace now deals 5% more damage and gives me 250 more healing! Now I’ll play entirely differently.
I still remember theory crafting an ideal Jade Knight (or whatever were they called) Hard Mode solo (with one hero) farming build.
I came up with extremely gimmicky and Mo/Me build with Famine R/Mo Bonder Hero.
Was fun to play even though it was far from the most efficient build.
It was like playing a MTG/YGO. Theory crafting, analyzing, etc.
In GW2?
Start by hiring people to actually work on WvW.
It doesn’t really. But that doesn’t change the fact that there’s build diversity in Guild Wars 1, you’re just looking for excuses to claim there isn’t, when there’s thousands of options for each of the eight classes I play.
Rephrased.
And exactly how does it change your first 5 skills or what they do or how you use them?
Greatsword/Hammer
6/6/0/2/0 Full Zerker
vs
0/0/6/6/2 Full Zerker
How do traits change my play style?
I’m playing high level fractals and I don’t see no difference.
Regardless of that, it’s not about gameplay, it’s about variety of builds. and even if as some claim, there were only few meta builds in GW1, even that number was bigger there than it is here.
My main was Monk.
In PvP – WoH/RC/LS/PaH/SoR/ZB/Smiter…etc
In PvE – HB/UA/WoH/RoJ/55hp/600hp/ …etc
And I only named the meta builds. Mo/A (Assassin’s Promise) wasn’t even considered meta, but it worked extremely great – (Basic principle, spam all your skills and cast AP for instant recharge of all skills).
No Build Diversity? Get real.
There is no build diversity in Guild Wars 2. I’ve spent hours staring at GW2Build editor trying to make something unique.
Regardless of what traits you take for your GS Guardian , what armor you chose, you still won’t be any different from the player next to you, except from Utilities, you will still use the same GS skills and hence still play exactly the same. But by all means, name one trait, or one armor set up that drastically changes how I play my GS Guard.
Were they interacting with the community when they were making EOTM? As far as I know there were special invites for guild to test the maps and that’s about it.
Alright. Jokes aside. Is there actually anyone working WvW? I don’t mean the people who fix one bug every 3 months, I mean people actually creating future WvW content.
Is Wardrobe “content” too? Is Wallet “content”?
I don’t see it. Unless you log in only to play Barbie in Wardrobe UI or to stare at your Wallet.
