Healing and Armor scales absolutely terrible beyond ~2800 and ~900.
Anti Berserker people -
“I want to play the way I want, nerf Berserker.”
“Can I play Healer then?”
“No!”
Guardian
- heavy armor and high melee single target and AoE DPS, good crowd control, good condition removal
What? Where? Have I’ve been playing my Guardian for two years wrong?
Well, after reading patch notes on WP video, it seems the patch is all about PvE.
New map, gem store, few QoL stuff.
So if you’re sPvPer or WvWer this patch doesn’t bring you anything, except for the new armor.
According to the Season 2 spoilers, we’re getting new armor with the toughness/healing/vitality stats.
Options? Good? Bad?
“Tanking” op?
They can’t buff conditions because they’re already “overpowered” in WvW/sPvP.
I wish for much but I expect they will implement nothing.
my prediction:
- tooltips of various kittens now use the correct verb to better display the current state
- new shiny awesome weapons for 10 lion tickets
- new armors for 800 gems (light, medium, heavy)
- 5 new awesome minis who all use the same model but have different shaders
- 2 new fuzzy hats (rabbit and moa)
- Bartender outfit
- new colours: something blue, something dark blue, something light blue, something something blue
- Boss in asuranfalls has a new name and isn’t stuck anymore. Also he is happy
- engineer autoattacks now deal no dmg anymore (because it was op). Warrior healsignet buffed.
- pirate runes now spawn 2 birds
Pretty much sums it up.
The biggest frustration is that they keep mentioning it when they talk about updates to WvW. It has added nothing to WvW server communities aside from the occasional PVE player farm. They claimed it could be an area for them to test new mechanics they may eventually use to help breathe some new life into the base WvW maps. It’s been 6 months — where are the updates?
This.
EOTM was supposed to be a testing place for future WvW updates.
Instead its a PvE KTrain zergling map.
Seasons artificially inflate the player base of WvW with PvErs who just want their achievements done and after that they don’t play WvW anymore.
The number of hardcore WvWers is decreasing.
There’s just nothing to look forward if you’re a WvW player. Absolutely nothing.
Devs themselves show little to no interest in WvW, no one comments anything, no one talks about anything, valid constructive criticism and suggestions are being ignored.
WvW top priority isn’t a new map, it’s the fix of PPT system which has been asked since the day one.
And no one wants Season 3 except for PvErs who just want to farm some APs.
Convert Charged cores into Charged Lodestones.
You could try farming Air Elements near temples, but I wouldn’t advice doing it.
Good thing I coverted 300G into 2700+ Gems few days ago.
100 gems will cost 20G by the end of this year.
And I’m not spending a single dime on Gem Store products unless it’s an expansion.
Wouldn’t solve the massive lag, unless they reduced the people needed.
I’m having less lag in 3 way SMC fights than in Tequatl/Wurm.
Going to T3 to wait for next imploding server so you can farm enough points to get back to T2.
Yeah. My burning on Guardian is so OP.
In fact it’s so strong I don’t run it and I don’t know anyone who does.
Just wondering.
Is there anything WvW players can look forward to?
Has Arena Net mentioned anything?
I don’t know what they are doing or what they are planing, but currently PvE, WvW or sPvP (especially last two) are not receiving enough substantial updates to keep the game fresh for those who have played since the launch.
As a WvW player, I have literally nothing to look forward. Balance updates are far too infrequent. Neither do devs (which many would argue that there are no WvW devs left) show any interest.
The game feels exactly the same as it did 2 years ago.
Some small changes here and there but game’s pretty much the same.
What if there was an actual animation of becoming invisible?
No more open world Tequatl / Wurm like content.
Horrible lag, fps drop, not being able to get in the right world, inability to kick trolls/afkers, having to play with clueless people who don’t want to listen, learn or cooperate.
There’s nothing fun about it, it’s frustrating.
The fights themselves aren’t even hard if you can get everyone to listen.
Leave open world alone. Make more dynamic events, hearts, etc. doable by any size of groups and skill levels.
Make instanced content hard.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but, doesn’t less farming places/methods equate to lower gold/gem conversion rate?
Less gold, less gems bought, gems cost less.
Elites for Guardian.
Word of Healing
Heal yourself and allies (range 600) for “X” Health.
Heal for an additional “Y” Health if ally is below 50% Health.
Restore Condition
Remove all conditions.
For each condition removed gain “X” Health.
Healer’s Boon
Gain 1000 Healing Power for 10 seconds.
Signet of Judgment
Knock down target for 3 seconds.
Better keep your expectations low.
Really low.Underwater map?
Even lower.
Here’s my speculation:
Zepherites get kittened off at Tyria for blowing up their ship, and go back to Cantha.
Shiro flies to Tyria riding Kuunavang and kills everyone.
Cantha Empire Navy arrives and takes us to Guild Wars 1.
Better keep your expectations low.
Really low.
I think she needs to visit the Anet office first and drop her lasers on the WvW dev team, Then they can start again from scratch.
What WvW dev team?
I have alt Ele, power leveled to 80 before the Trait patch, used skill scrolls and unlocked all utilities, elite and weapon skills playing WvW in less than a hour.
I want to play Staff, but I personally find most of the skills boring, so what are my options to make running staff more enjoyable? None.
I’ve been using same Greatsword skills on my guard since the first open beta in 2012 April.
Repetitive and boring. No roam for experimentation.
I thought GW2 promised that we won’t have to wait to have fun?
What happened?
Waiting is one thing, not necessary that bad, but playing with randoms and not being able to play with all your friends is wrong and bad design.
Before that I want them to fix my Spirit Weapons for Guardian, if not that, give me changeable weapon skills.
And if not that, just give Shadow Form to Thieves and make the PvP/WvW unplayable.
I’d like to see similar monster to Aatxe(GW1) in GW2 – monsters which 2/3 hit you.
Did you try it alone or did you fail to split party?
Considering it took less than 5 hours to make a new character and to max it out (level, skills, armor and weapons) and if you knew how to play (or knew how to watch basic tutorial videos on youtube and were willing to learn and listen) anyone could play both UW of FoW.
And Paragon was only locked out of speed clears, same as Necro, Ranger or Engineer is in GW2. You could still play non-meta speed clears.
Here’s the result for “Play the way you want”.
These things should have been instanced.
I’ve been in EOTM a couple of times, I don’t see the point of playing it. At all.
There’s never any queues on FA.
Not to mention the whole place is just a karma training paradise.
Waste of resources.
Meanwhile WvW hasn’t had a substantial update for more than a year now? Two years?
Want a definition of a good end game? Guild Wars 1.
- Underworld and Fissure Of Woe.
- Domain Of Anguish.
- Urgoz and The Deep
Don’t worry maybe they’ll get back that part time intern.
Or is it pointless?
I assume it would be useful in zerg fights, but what about roaming?
The only aspect that makes these bosses hard is that you have to deal with people who don’t want to cooperate, listen or learn.
That and kitten poor system which doesn’t even guarantee you of gettin into the right overflow or whatever they’re called now.
High FOTMs rewarding? Nice joke.
Again.
FoTM 50 has highest drop chance of ascended gear/infused rings available in-game. So yes – its rewarding based on how game is “low-rewarding”.
Highest Chance? Maybe, it’s still extremely low chance of getting ascended armor/wep drops. The RNG for weapon skin is even lower.
Might as well say Mystic Toilet is rewarding because it has the highest chance of dropping you a precursor.
High FOTMs rewarding? Nice joke.
If Black Lion Skins bugged out they’d be fixed the next day.
I think the correct question here is:
Where is the Underworld?
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Underworld
Where is our epic boss battle with Dhuum, and our collectable end game armor?
Dhuum was sealed away two-hundred, fifty years ago. It took him more than one-thousand years to break his seal, and I don’t think there’s many creatures to die in the Underworld for him to collect power anymore.
I may be wrong, but I think what is meant is…
" Where is OUR Version of an Underworld Type dungeon?"
“Where is OUR version of a Dhuum type epic battle against a Dhuum type Epic Boss?”
“Where is OUR Version of the epic Loot that Dhuum dropped In Guild Wars?”
In gem store?
Hard? How are they hard?
Imagine if these bosses were actually instanced.
Decent groups would hardly ever fail.
What makes these events hard is taht you have to fight against people who are unwilling to listen, learn or are afk.
There’s no reason to become better at this game.
Content is equally rewarded whether you’re good or bad, whether you’re using all your skills to kill the boss quickly or just spamming the auto attack while checking facebook.
And then there are people who complain about Bererker meta, they want more viable play styles, but once making tanking and healing viable is suggested, they don’t want it either.
Buff them and the loot and make them instanced, otherwise I’m not playing with randoms.
You know there’s something wrong with the conditions when you cleanse them fast and frequently enough even with Pure Of Voice, Trooper Gear,3 Shouts and 20k HP on Guardian.
Just saying.
FA broke the HoD.
Rip 2014-2014
Since devs said Thieves are all about quick fights:
Here’s an idea for a new Thief trait.
Minor trait – “Balance”
“When you enter combat mode gain 3000 Power and 3000 Ferocity for 3 seconds.”
Why I quit playing Healway Guard:
Even though I have 3.3K armor, nearly 1.3k Healing, running shouts with Pure Of Voice and have Absolute Resolution trait on, I still can’t deal with all the insane condition spaming.
You cleanse 3, 4 new are applied. And you can’t effectively outheal the condition damage. You don’t outheal the conditions, any more than you outheal direct damage. You survive long enough to kill the opponent.
How do you survive long enough and deal enough damage playing a Cleric Guard against Necro Condition Spammer/Bunker?
Build has like 15% Crit Chance and 170 Ferocity, ~2200 Power with all the buffs.
Conditions are applied so frequently it doesn’t matter whether you remove them or not.
Granted I’m far from being “mlg 1337” in 1v1, but, hey, I’m willing to learn if you have any tips.
