As show from the bunker meta, it’s best just to sit around and hopefully something happens.

Missed abjured game what was toker’s build?
I honestly don’t remember the specifics. Final Form was using Dual Mesmer/Dual Rev and the Abjured won via a close match in the first game (said they were experimenting with a few things that didn’t work), and then in the second game, just abso-kitten-lutely dismantled Final form. Toker himself was pretty much unstoppable. The moment a mesmer blew their cooldowns, Toker and co. would down and cleave the kitten out of them. There is plenty of good to be found outside of the reigning meta, and I’m disappointed that The Abjured seem to to be the only crew figuring it out.
That’s because bunker mesmer is overrated, I’d like to see how well Toker handled a bunker druid or tempest.
My teammate asked me to duo queue, we won the next 7 games with much ease. We even carried a warrior.
Ironically he has been trying to get to sapphire all day today, I carried him there.
I’ve been having no issues climbing sapphire so far, I main bunker tempest and I play a mean viper revenant so I fill any role the team needs.

Chrono bunkers are not as OP as you put it here. The way to beat them is the same we used to beat turret engineers, bunker guards, and every other overly tanky build.
But why do people have to get told this every time a new bunker build surfaces? Call it engineer, guardian, whatever, it’s the same darn role, you beat it with the same tactic.
This, while they are strong, Viper Revenants can just eat them alive with their constantly strong stability stacks thanks to Enchanced Bulwark with dodging, plus Shiro can just eat through any block they put up.
Are they the best bunkers? Hell no. A lot of players don’t realize once they down a player, change targets to another vulnerable out of place one, make the bunker mesmer waste his Well of Precognition on his downed ally and you’ll soon find that the mesmer simply cannot play the rez game. But they have one thing that makes it very overpowered and that is double casting gravity well. With Alacity this super powered CC recharged much faster than it should.
In my opinion Tempests provide the best bunker support in the game with obvious weaknesses as well. Ironically, Tempest has a lot to cover the weaknesses of bunker mesmers.
Having a Tempest, Bunker Mesmer and 3 Viper Revenants and you got yourself a team that has unmatched defenses and unmatched, unstoppable DPS.

Wait till you get to high tier play, you’ll soon discover how stupidly OP viper revenants are and it comes down to which team has the most viper revenants.
It’s impossible for developers to predict how hundreds of thousands of players will use a system they’ve developed without putting into their hands. I’ve been playing MMOs since they were text based (i.e., before most players on here were even alive) and there are always bugs when a new feature is released since when you have 100k+ people trying to break and exploit the system, someone will find something that was overlooked.
Leagues are definitely ready, they’re just not perfect yet. I look forward to what they will be once all the launch issues are ironed out.
PvP does not have 100k+ people, if it did the league system killed it very quickly.

I agree, then again all crafting is unreasonable. Why is there no crafting books that unlock tiers of crafting you can just buy with gold? No one levels by crafting anymore anyways.

Our best and unbeatable team comp is 3 viper revenants, 1 bunker ele and a bunker mesmer.
So let me explain how high level play works for this. All you need is 3 Revenants to focus a target and they die, quickly.
CC, boon removal, 20 stacks of Torment, stacks of confusion, chill, burning, poison.
We run into a team fight and some enemy dies in 5 seconds regardless of how tanky they are.
The problem with Viper Revenants is you cannot really stop them, you can damage them but an auramancer ele will keep them alive, mobile and strong. Good viper Revenants will go through your blocks, eat all your CC and continue to smash whatever they set their eyes on.
Reapers, scrappers, dragonhunters have some pretty strong DPS, but pale in comparison to viper revenants which has the added benefit of unstoppable DPS.

Hey PvP Team, where is that balance patch? This is the worst meta the game has ever had, even worse than Dhuumfire.
Wrong, it doesn’t prevent players from advancing, it just makes it grindy and painful.
ANet won’t do anything about any of the above problems until they figure out how to monetize the solutions.

Actually, it’s more along the lines of it’ll fix itself.
Seriously, so many problems, so many they have yet to address.
- Players with high MMR are flat out PUNISHED.
- SoloQ players are flat out PUNISHED.
- People without HoT are flat out PUNISHED.
- Thief and Warrior mains are flat out PUNISHED.
- The 6 meta builds are ridiculously above the curve, anyone not using them are flat out PUNISHED.
So with all these problems, does ArenaNet just ignore, thinking it will fix itself? You made your bed guys, what you going to do?
Reduce the heal to allies by 50% please.
Nerf Viper Revenants first.

In my opinion the amount of pips is really too high, does ArenaNet really think bad players can grind 10 wins in sapphire let alone 25 to get to ruby?

Think about it, ideally lower tier players won’t get past 10 in their tier wins let alone 30. Sooooo why so much? This wouldn’t be that big of a deal if getting 2 pips were more common but I’ve only had that happen to me once, and I’m sapphire! That is 40 wins yet I’ve only seen gaining 2 pips once. What the hell ArenaNet…
If I was playing League of Legends, I’d be Diamond right now by how many freaking games I’ve played.
Should they reduce the amount of pips in a tier? Like from 5 to 3.

My advice is keep an eye on the Mallyx stance as 50% of the raw power that comes from a Viper Revenant is the invisible Banish Enchantment beam.
This is pretty difficult as good Revenants will bait out the condition removal and spam the hell out of it, leaving the player to either run or die as they sit under 9 stacks of confusion for 9 seconds.
If you can dodge the invisible banish enchantments you’ll have a chance to DPS them down.
Have you tried CC or condi cleanse?
Comeback and report results.
I’ve tried CC. They constantly have 2 stacks of stability when they dodge roll. And if I CC, I sometimes get taunted for 4 seconds.
I’ve tried immob or chill or blind… But they have resistance.
Have you tried CCing when their stacks of stabilities are gone? Have you tried Immob or chill when they are not in mallyx stance?
lol, all smart Revenants carry Enchanced Bulwark and have you even tried Shiros? You know, the instant stunbreak, dodge and removes chill, cripple and immobilize? You CANNOT trap a Revenant with conditions or CC.
Oh, there is no need for Glints stance, with the power from Mallyx and the mobility from Shiro you got everything you need to kill people. Revenants that use Glint are just holding themselves back.
Hey PvP team, can we get your thoughts on a hot-fix balance patch? Some builds are completely out of control and can use some much needed toning.
lol, good point. To be fair to Revenants, the Viper amulet is the biggest issue. We could just delete the Vipers Amulet as power Revenants doesn’t even come close to compare.
Fun Fact: To play Viper Revenant, you bait out of the condi removal and spam Banish Enchantment. It’s that easy. The confusion does insane damage

Would seriously like to hear from someone at Anet on when they are planning to balance Revs out.
Currently they are kittening kittened beyond belief.
I believe they nerfed Hambow warriors because of their survive-ability, CC and damage.

So, Viper Revenants get a free pass!
Viper Revenants are ridiculously overpowered, their DPS is unmatched with powerful sustain and CC. They are clearly just broken with no counterplay.
They do require skill but all you really need are 2-3 viper revenants per team to just stomp anyone.
Why didn’t we get a balance patch?
I think to solve this issue, there should be an optional checkbox for players.
For lower levels, using the checkbox you accept that you can rolled in with higher lvl players (optionally, with higher rewards), and for high level players, the checkbox would let them allowed together with lower level players (with probably decrease their loss and gain by 30% if they do).With this, players will have a free decision if they want to get rolled together with high/low league players with some consequences.
I personally kind of like the idea of this. I used this feature in Heroes of Newerth depending on my mood. You could select shorter queue times with worse quality matches or longer queue times for better quality matches.
Spice it up, why not add a buff that prevents pip loss BUT only if you don’t play your most played rank class?
It is a legit strategy, last tier I am going to tank a lot of games with my team so that my next 5 games will be super easy to sapphire.

- the match making is awful. We beat the same guild team, 3 times in a row.
- the balance is horrible, top teams bring 2-3 Viper Revenants. We thinking of having our dragonhunter train in Revenant to have more revenants just because Viper Revenant is top tier DPS.

Revenant is a high skill low reward class. At no point have I played the class and felt like it was OP.
You’re probably just bad or just using the wrong build.
I probably have 5 hours on my Revenant and can easily wreck face. Hell, all the top teams on the leaderboards are using 2-3 Revenants because they have stupid high DPS. Use Unrelenting Assault to bait 2 dodges, spam condi and when they use their condition removal then spam banish enchantment for GG.
Viper Heralds are incredibly overpowered.

Back to farming PvP this evening… fun fun.
I’m willing to give up the “legendary” grind in order to convince ArenaNet Leagues and PvP is not ready. There are bugs, visual bugs, gross class imbalances, MMR loses exploiting and exploiting league teams to climb to the top.
I can convince my team as well to stop PvPing until ArenaNet fixes all of it. Avaks Fanclub and the PvP team Plasma, Kitten, Spuke, Dani and Eclipsi can and will boycott the league system until ArenaNet fixes the numerous issues and creates a healthy PvP meta and a healthy league system.
However, I’m not going to 5 man boycott, we need many players to unitely pledge against Leagues.
Leagues were not ready.
Can we have Leagues on hold until PvP is ready?
Toss leagues, they are not ready.
We got severe unbalance (Revenants have the highest DPS yet are allowed to be tanky), bugs (stuck bug), visual bugs (enough said) and an exploited team system allowing top teams to take up as many top slots as they want.
Bring back Leagues when PvP is ready.
They really just need to kill Leagues at this point. Bugs, visual bugs, severe unbalance and exploiting mechanics.
Leagues are simply, not ready.
The skill has also 600 range, almost no visible animation so that you could dodge it, and it actually affects anyone in range, not just the target.
It does have a visual animation.
Sometimes.
This skill alone is easily the reason why Revenants are top tier condi-spikers. Confusion is the most damaging condition in the game and Revenants can easily spam 6-9 stacks and remove boons on stance swap. Combined with a piercing it’s simply way to overtoned.
An easy solution is to reduce the number of confusion stacks from 3 to 2 and reduce it’s duration from 6 seconds to 5. You want banish enchantment to hurt, not kill anyone you spam it on.
